I can't believe it's been two years since I started this story! I'm both happy and a little sad! Lol mainly because I look back at all my other stories and they been completed with in a year while I'm struggling to finish this one! Don't get me wrong I love this story it's my baby.

Anywho to Bashsisiter23 I know you asked me a while back that if Kayla is the leader of the group and to answer you question, yes she is followed by Nia. Nia only leads when Kayla is acting up and she needs some sense knocked into her by Nia. I guess you can say she's the Raph of the group while Skyler is Donnie and Cat is the Mikey in the group so that just leaves Kayla as Leo, the leader. I hope that answers your question.

Splinter sighed as Joshua left the lair and decided to retire in his room to mediate leaving his sons alone with their friends and mates.

Skyler to had reluctantly left Raph's arm to heal his brothers quickly before she healed him. She took her time with him being extra careful and at the same time caressing him feeling that he was there with her and safe and not a dream. Because of their adventure that they had just told them it seem to unreal to be true. But she knew Raph and his brothers were a magnet for trouble and for the impossible.

Raph churred softly as Skyler continued to heal him not missing the slight touches she gave him. He grabbed her wrist and pulled her on to his lap burying his face in the crook of her neck.

"I missed you Sky" he muttered against her skin. She stayed silent and let him do as he pleased it had only been a few hours to her but he had gone six months without seeing her. She couldn't imagine been away from him that long without going insane.

He was silent for several minutes and just held to the point that it made her worry.

"Raphael? Is something w-wrong?" She pulled away cupping his face so he look at her.

"...I..." he began with a slight tint of red to his cheeks "I was just thinking"

"About?" She tilted her head.

"You...us" he admitted "A lot has happened these past few months made me realize I don't like..." he paused "I don't like being without you and maybe in a few years if our enemies settle down... I'd like to do the same with you we c-could have our own place and start our own family?" he swallowed hard waiting for her to response.

Skyler blushed hard at his words "Raphael are you asking m-me to—"

"Yeah I am" he nodded "Marry me, Sky—" her lips crashed into his before he could finish his question. He churred loudly pulling her closer to him.

"I love you" she muttered against his mouth.

"Is that a yes?" He smirked she smiled and nodded not trusting her voice "Good" his eyes soften at her and he kissed her again.

"Get a room! Just because you guys are in the clear with Joshua and Splinter doesn't mean you get to rub it in to us non-bonded" Cat teased.

"W-we weren't! We aren't even..." Sky blushed mortified at her friend's suggestion while Raph growled at Cat annoyed.

Mikey swallowed hard as he entered the room Joshua had lead him to. He had been stand by the door too afraid to even enter. He waited several minutes before he found the courage to open the door and he held back a sob.

He slowly walked to her bedside taking in her form.

"Kay?" He whimpered softly grasping her hand in his. She was so cold and so pale. The wounds she had before were healed and new soft pink skin showed where her pervious injuries had been. The IV stuck in her arm swayed slightly as the assistant put a new blood bag. He wanted to ask her if she was ok now but the words wouldn't form. Sensing his hesitation she answered his unspoken question.

"She's stable, all the major wounds have been healed. It's up to her now"

"What does that mean by that?" He said finally finding his voice.

"The severe blood loss caused her body to go into shock, the lack of blood to her brain sent her into a coma—" the woman cut herself off when she saw him begin to cry "I'm sorry I'll let myself out" she hurried and left the room.

"Come back to me Kay" he muttered placing a soft kiss on her forehead. This wasn't right. She didn't deserve this. He wished it had been him.

"It'll be ok" he whispered more to himself than her as he nuzzled her cheek. He looked around the small room and found a chair. Leaving her for only a moment so he could pull the seat closer and sit by her side.

He didn't remember falling asleep.

He expected his youngest to be home already instead he found Joshua in the lair again and his son nowhere in sight. The girls had left long ago and the rest of his sons were sleeping already, tired, from everything that has accord to this point.

"Where is Michelangelo?"

Joshua sighed tiredly "He won't leave Kayla's side I tried to tell him but he refused and even became feral...he's fast" he chuckled trying to lighten the mood. Splinter's eyes widen at his statement and upon taking a closer look he noticed a small bruise on Joshua's jaw.

"I apologize for my son's actions"

"It's fine" Joshua waved him off "Nothing to worry about in fact I'm kind of glad" he grinned at Splinter as he raised a brow at him "In a few years once his training is done I know I won't have to worry about Kayla or any of my girls because I know they will be well protected"

"I will do my best when I train them" Splinter nodded humbled by his words.

"That's all I ask" Joshua nodded "I'll make sure Michelangelo is well taken care of, good night Splinter"

"Thank you my friend"
