Here's another chapter! And I'm actually almost done with the next one too as crazy as that sounds!

"This is strange" Donnie said as he use the bo staff Fugitoid had given him to get readings from the crystal.
"There's something dark in there Donatello" Cat stated.
"I think I'm beginning to get it now." Donnie nodded agreeing with her. If he was correct—
"Where's my crystal?" April panicked yelling could be heard throughout the lair.
"I'll go see if me and Sky can help Master Splinter calm her down" Cat sighed.
"Good idea" Donnie's nodded towards them as he continued to study it.
"April, calm down. Donatello is examining it while you rest" Splinter scolded.
"No! No, it's mine! I need it!" April shouted.
"You are addicted to that alien stone. You do not need its power. You must break its hold on you! Now!" He lectured sternly as she lifted him into the air. She clenched her hand and Master groan in pain.
"What are you doing! Put him down April!" Cat shouted at her.
April sparred her a glance and tried to lift her also but Cat cut ties.
"Nice try but that shit won't work on me!" Cat snapped running towards her.
"Interesting " April muttered and floated out of her reach.
"Get down here and fight me or are you too scared!" Cat challenged.
"A pity I didn't know about you" April commented in an eerie voice as her eyes flowed white and her hair deified gravity "You would have made a better host"
"Whoa! Oh, no. No, no, no! " Donnie chased after the the crystal as it escaped his hold. "Ah!" He crashed into the dojo finding the crystal back in April's hands.
"April? What are you doing?" He glared as he saw Splinter and Skyler in the air. She turned to him used her powers to choke him.
"Donatello!" Cat went to his aid and cut the ties holding him.
"How did you do that" he rubbed his sore neck.
"I'll explain later right now we have to stop her" Cat stated.
"April, you must hear me. This being wants to control you. Fight it!" Splinter shouted
"Master Splinter, I...I can't fight her. She's too strong." April came to her senses for a few seconds.
"April, stop! You have to control it" Donnie tried to stop her arm swung out and with Splinter and Skyler were flung crashing through the dojo doors "No!"
"Sensei!"
"Sky!"
He and Catharine ran to help them out from under neither the now broken doors.
"I will be fine" Splinter held his side "April?" He asked when he didn't see her in the lair anymore.
"She left" Cat answered.
"I should never have tried testing that crystal" Donnie shook his head as he steadied his father on his feet.
"She possesses a power I have never seen before, but it is not your doing. I fear she can no longer control it" Splinter commented.
"We have to get that necklace away from her and destroy it...somehow" Donnie said with a frown.
"You okay Sky?" Cat asked worried helping her up
"I twisted m-my ankle o-on the landing but I'm f-fine" she nodded and began to heal herself.
"Donatello we—"
"I know I'm going after her, you stay—" Donnie began.
"No! I'm going with you" she said stubbornly "I can track her faster and in the state she's in we can't risk wasting time searching the whole city for her" she argued.
"She's right my son, we must find April before she causes anymore harm. Please, be careful, my son you too Catharine. That being was not April" Splinter warned.
"We'll get through to her, Sensei. I know we can" Donatello said picking Catharine up and leaving the lair in a full sprint.
Meanwhile...
"This menina will be no problem" Fishface smirked as he looked ready to battle stance however April casually ripped his metal legs to shreds leaving on the ground useless.
Rahzar growled and lunged at her, she didn't even flinched and threw a dumpster at him.
"Your parlor tricks won't stop me, girl" Tigerclaw snarled drawing his sword out and attacked her. Her hand went up and froze him in mid-air strangling him without touching him and threw him against the building wall like he was nothing.
"April?" Casey question surprised that she took out three enemies without breaking and that she was floating.
"What happened here?" Raph said arriving at the scene with everyone else.
"Where am I? Why am I here?" April gasped gripping her head.
"That's what I was gonna ask you." Mikey said. April's eyes glowed again and she took off without answering him.
"April! Where are you going?" Leo shouted.
"That way!" Cat pointed towards the Channel 6 News building rooftop.
"Hold on" Donnie said adjusting her on his shell as he used his grappling hook.
April floated down to the rooftop a blue aura surrounding her.
"What's happening to you?" Leo uttered.
"I thought Donnie and Splinter were looking after you" Nia took a step back in caution.
"I guess...I don't remember! Ah!" April clenched her eyes shut in pain.
"It's that crystal! It has some seriously bad juju, dudes!" Mikey narrowed his eyes while pointing at it.
"It's changing you, April" Leo said alarmed as her eyes flowed white again and the blue aura engulfed her again.
"There is no April only Za-Naron" her voice echoed.
"What do you mean, you're not April? Who is Za-Naron?" Leo
"I am the Soul of an Elder Aeon, one of the First Seven. After 100 millennia our physical forms had disintegrated, so our spirits were each placed into the Soul Star, to exist forever. I have been transplanting my mind into her consciousness slowly. But the Aeons did not know how corrupt this planet could be. I intend to save it." Za-Naron tossed them off roof using her powers.
They used their grappling hooks to slow their fall while Nia used her power. When the glanced up they saw Donnie climbing up the building with Cat holding on to shell.
"Donnie! Cat! Wait!" They tried to warn them but their shouts fell on deaf ears.
As soon as they got to the top Donnie let her down.
"Don't get too close, look for cover " Donnie warned her.
"She can't touch me" Cat argued.
"No but she can throw something at you and I might not be able to make it in time"
She want to argue but he did have a point so instead she nodded and did as he told her.
He turned to face April carefully making his way towards her "April! Stop!"
"Foolish mortal! Stay out of my way" her eyes narrowed.
"April, it's us remember?" Donnie reasoned.
"We're your friends!" Cat added.
"Donnie? Cat? Ahh!" April clutched her head.
"Listen to me. Give me the crystal" Donnie took a step towards her hand extended "Just give me the crystal - and everything will be okay" he whispered.
"No!" She lifted him up with her into the night air.
"Ah!" He cried in pain.
"Donatello!" Cat shouted in panic "Let him go!" She growled at April.
"Donnie!" The rest show up on the roof again.
"This isn't you, April! That crystal is changing you! You need to break free!" Donnie shouted.
"It's too much power. I-I can't control it anymore" April cried.
"You can do it! I know you can! I'm not strong enough. Donnie, I'm sorry—" April extended her arm and her fist slowly closed.
"April? Please" Donnie pleaded.
"April! Fight her damn it! Please!" Catharine cried at hearing his pain filled grunts. "Don't do whatever she's making you do!" She begged.
"April! Please!" Donnie said as fear filled him when he saw her hand close into a fist.
"Donnie!" Everyone yelled in shock at what just happened. His body disintegrated into millions of partials and scattered through the air until nothing was left except for his purple headband slowly drifted down to where they where.
"Donatello!" Cat screamed as pain filled her chest the link severing completely. Her eyes began to roll back and she clenched her jaw tight in agony. Her hand quickly acting to grab her link before it completely resided into her body.
"Cat!" Nia shouted in worry as her friend dropped to the floor. She ran towards skidding to a stop and grabbing her form pulling her close noticing her clenched fist "Don't you dare let go of the link!"
"What's happening to her?" Raph asked running to help.
"It the same that happened with Sky at the farm house, her link with Donnie was broken" Nia
"But she's the one that help Skyler—" Casey began.
"I need to get her to a MAR!" Nia cut him off urgently.
"She's gone" Mikey pointed out when April was nowhere in sight.
"No" Cat whispered shaking her head as she held her own link in her hand.
"Shut up! We have to—" Nia glared down at her.
"That way" Cat pointed cutting her off "Take me to April!"
"No! What we need to do is get you to a MAR you idiot!" Nia snarled while a tear escaped her eye.
"It won't matter, I'll die either way" Cat said softly pushing her away and stood up on shaky legs. If the broken link didn't kill her than she herself would probably do it. It was horrible to think but once your Soul-Urge died nothing was ever the same. She didn't know how Joshua did it. Even now all she wanted to do was let go and follow after Donatello. However she couldn't do that...not yet anyway. They had come too far and she was not going to stop until they got rid of whatever was possessing April. It's what Donatello would have wanted and because she was her friend too.
