Here's another chapter! And I'm actually on a roll this week!

"What do we do, Leo? What just happened? Is Donnie gone?" Raph couldn't believe his brother was really gone. Leo clutched the purple headband and glared at the ground.

"Poor Donnie" Casey murmured.

"W-we need to move" Cat panted.

"She's right before April hurts anyone else" Nia agreed slinging one of Cat's arms over her shoulder to help her stand and move.

They had found April in a alley taking out some of the Purple Dragons.

"You can't do this, April! Or Za-Naron, or whoever you are!" Leo shouted.

"Do not stand in my way, or you will be cleansed just as Donatello was" Za-Naron warned.

"We have to stop her"

"But how?" Nia questioned.

"Get me close, I might be able to cut the connection" Cat grunted in pain. She was running out of time. She had been holding her link far too long.

"What if April is still in there?" Casey unsure what exactly that would do. What if it didn't break the connection and it just made things worse?

"Are you kidding? I don't like it, but April O'Neil is gone. We have no choice. We take her down!" Raph launched himself at April and wrapped his arms around her in a tight hug. She struggled in his grip.

"She's still in there we just have to remind her just enough that she fights back and I can separate the links" Cat huffed.

"She won't listen! Do it! Hurry!" Raph held her April in place.

"I can't hurt her, dude" Mikey shook his head while lowering his weapons. April roared and release a burst of energy that clinger Raph off her before she caught him in mid-air and began to crush him.

"Ah!" Raph shouted.

Mikey and Leo reacted quickly and chained her up. The action coughed her to lose concentration and made her release Raph from her hold. Casey rushed to his unmoving form to aide him.

"We know you're in there, Red" Casey tried to bring her back.

"We're your friends!" Nia added.

"Your family!" Mikey said.

"Remember who you are! You are April O'Neil. Remember everything we've been through together." Leo reasoned.

"Yeah, like the time we fought a giant mutagen man? And our dope missions in space." Casey said recalling some of there fun adventures.

"And Master Splinter. And pizza parties. And Ice Cream Kitty" Mikey called out.

"No!" Za-Naron yelled getting hold of Raph again.

"Ahh!"

"Remember Donatello" Cat shouted with a glare "Fight her! For what she did to him! For what it's doing to me, your friend!" Cat pleaded as she coughed and blood dripped from her lips down her chin.

"Cat!" Nia shout worried as her friend removed her arm from her shoulder and fell to her knees the one hand cushioning her fall while the other continued to hold her link. She was pant hard and she was struggling to keep her eyes open. "We need to get you to a MAR to block the link stop being stubborn!" Nia said desperately to her.

"I...I can't" she shook her head "Not until we get April back" She couldn't hold the link any longer and it was straining her body to keep it in place.

"We don't have the power to destroy the crystal. Only you do, April" Leo urged looking over at Cat's state. She was in no condition to even try to cut the link now. So it was up to April.

"Ah!" April roared. The aura around her grew until it was forced out of her body.

"Foolish creature You could have had all the power of the universe!" A huge bat-like creature snarled flying toward her again.

"No!" April sliced the being in half using her dragon tanto and the thing burst into pieces.

"Red, is that really you?" Casey said cautiously.

"I think so" April shook her head.

"But but Donnie" Mikey said. What about their brother?

"What have I done?" April whispered. She had just destroyed one of her friends who was practically family. And Cat...she was dying because of her. She felt sick.

"It's not your fault, April" Leo tried to calm her.

"But it is! It was all me in a way. If only..." she cried and paused when she felt a familiar press as in the air "Donnie's not gone! He wasn't really destroyed, just molecularly scattered" April closing her eyes and focused her power. Slowly small particles came together until they became one and it showed Donnie alive and well.

"He's...ok" Cat muttered her vision fading.

"Cat stay with me! He's fine now! We can still fix your link with him! Stay awake damn it!" Nia shook her as Cat began to close her eyes.

Donnie blinked and took in his surroundings. Then he spotting Nia shaking Catharine to stay awake but was failing miserable. What had happened to his mate? He saw blood dripping down her chin and every thought flew out of his mind. He need to go to her.

"Bro!" Mikey said happily at seeing him again.

"Donnie! Thank goodness" Leo sighed in relief.

"No!" He snarled pushing passed his brothers and friends to get to her. Taking her from Nia's hands.

"What's happening to her!" He demanded.

"It the same that happened with Sky remember"

He remembered. But Catharine was the one to help Skyler and Raph fix the link. Who would help her?

"Catharine" he whimpered the light in her eyes was fading.

"Don't m-move" she rasped out. Her hand going to his chest. He felt a sharp painful tug on his heart and she brought both hands together. Then he felt a small connection that seem to be fading again. It wasn't enough.

"Catharine!" Nia shouted as her friend became to still and pale for her liking. Had it been too late for her to connect the links?

"Catharine?" He began to panic, her body was becoming cold. Did she not make the connection? His brain racked for a solution to help him. Raph had bitten Skyler and it helped her out of her auto-pilot state back at the farm house...he had to try.

"I won't lose you" Donatello growled cradling her close and biting into Cat's neck, marking her.

Catharine eyes flew open as she gasped for breath and then quickly closed shut. Her breathing now coming more even.

"Um did he just?" Casey raised an eyebrow having witnessed something similar before with Raph and Skyler.

Nia nodded numbly confirming his suspension "He marked her"

"Ha! Joshua is going to be pissed at you Don" Raph half laughed.

"But it was to help her…" Mikey tilted his head. If that helped Cat…could it help Kayla?

"Mikey where are you going!" Leo shouted when Miley took off running.

Master Splinter sighed in relief when he saw them return all of them safe and April back to normal. The Aeon crystal no where in sight only showing that they were able to destroy it.

"April—" Splinter spoke calmly before she began to apologize for her actions.

"I'm so sorry. I guess I should have listened to you about the crystal. Especially you, Donnie. I'm sorry for—" April began before Donnie cut her off.

"For what? Reducing me to a quantum smear and almost killed Catharine in the process?" He scoffed "Yeah, we still feel it, I'll be fine but I don't know about her" Donnie held Cat tighter against him. She was still out but her pulse was steady and her body had regain some of it color back. April flinched at his tone and looked down in guilt. If only she had been stronger to fight off Za-Naron—

"I am impressed, April. You literally destroyed your demons" Splinter said cutting her train of thought.

"She almost destroyed all of us" Raph grunted as Skyler healed him.

"What about your powers?" Leo asked wary.

"They were always part of me. I can't harness the power of the Aeons anymore, but I think I know how to control my powers better" April stated using her power. They all flinched as her tanto flew to her hand.

"So at least some good came out of this" April tried to smile at them but failed. They were scared of her now and what she was capable of, and Donnie, he was angry with her. She really messed up. She had to make it up to all of them somehow. She hurt her friends, her family.

Splinter nodded at her words and turned to Nia "You mentioned Joshua was on his way?"

"Yeah he's bringing Mikey back and someone to look at Cat and Donnie"

"I see…this guest"

"They were warn not to say anything about your family besides she's also Cat's teacher" Nia stated.
