Just a warning there is a lot of jumping around in this chapter. I'm just trying to move the story along because the next few chapters are going to be crazy.

I don't proofread my chapters! Lol I just dish them out as I write them cause I'm too lazy to do it.

She had only slept two hours before she woke up screaming again. That dark place she dreamt before just seem to be the only thing on her mind and she refused to sleep in fear of seeing it again. She wanted to go home and she managed to convince her father to let her. She wanted to see Mikey and her friends.

"Are you sure? We can wait here a bit more. I'll bring your friends tomorrow, you need to rest more" Joshua said worried.

"I want to go home" Kayla muttered tiredly. Her eyes begging him to take her away from this place.

"Perhaps if she's in a more familiar place, it could help with healing. I've seen patient's health improve much faster when they are are near the people they care or if they are in a place they feel comfortable" the healer offered.

"Please dad"

"Alright" he gave in and grabbed a wheel chair and carefully lifted her from the bed and to set her in it.

Cat lazily flipped through a magazine while waiting for everyone to come back to the lair. It had been rather boring since Skyler left and she had no one to talk to well except for Splinter but she was pretty sure he wouldn't be able to keep up with her conversations…that and she was pretty sure she would annoy him as he tried to meditate so she chose to read a magazine instead.

Her phone began to ring she saw Joshua's name "Hey Joshua" she answered casually.

"Try again" came tired pained chuckle. Cat's eyes widen and she straighten up.

"Kayla! You're awake! You're ok!" Cat began to cry in relief.

"Yeah…" her voice was rasp "Heading home as we speak"

"This is great! Wait until I tell everyone! we'll meet you at home!"

"Sounds…great"

Catharine jumped up and ran to where Splinter was meditating in the dojo.

"Sorry Splinter don't mean to interrupt but I have great news"

He opened his eyes and looked at her for her to continue "Kayla's awake and she's going home"

"This is great news" he smiled and stood up.

"What's great news?" Donnie asked and scaring Cat at his sudden appearance.

"I've told you to stop sneaking up like that!" She smacked his shoulder.

"Sorry it a hard habit to break" he apologized sheepily.

"Where's Nia?" Cat asked now noticing her red hair friend was no where in site. She watched as the guys all blushed especially Leo his face seem to turn purple.

"Tokka may have spat lava at Nia and burned her cloth off in the process and she went home to get some cloths"

Catharine burst out laughing "I am so not going to let her live that down"

"Where's Sky?" Raph asked with Chompy churring on his shoulder.

"She wasn't feeling well?" Cat shrugged and Raph frowned at her answer "Wait we're getting off topic! Kayla's awake!" Cat said excitedly. Mikey's eyes grew and he grabbed Cat by the shoulders shaking her slightly.

"She's awake! Where is she? It she still in divinity! Take me to her!"

"Easy on the grip Mikey" Cat shrugged out of his hold, "They're heading home right now—"

"Mikey wait!" Leo shouted as Mikey took off.

"Let him go, we'll see them both soon" Splinter spoke.

"Master Splinter?" Leo questioned.

"I will be joining you my sons, after all I still have to thank Kayla for saving my life" he motioned for them to follow.

Kayla hissed as her dad helped her out of the car. Her limbs felt so weak from not using them and it made her wonder how long she was out.

"Dad…how long was I out?"

"Let's worry about that later lets get you settled in"

"Dad please?"

He sighed knowing this was going to be a hard conversation for his daughter to take in but before he could answer they both saw Nia fly through her window. Naked.

But then he heard her laugh and just hearing it made him feel like everything would be alright. They could both heard Skyler scream at Nia asking why she was naked and soon they were both laughing as he carried her in the house.

"I missed this…I missed everyone" Kayla chuckled.

"We missed you too sweetheart" he said struggling a bit to open the door before pushing it open with his foot. Nia and Skyler came down the stairs.

"Why were you naked?" Skyler asked trying not to laugh.

"It's a long story," Nia groaned now fully clothed "Can we please not talk about it anym— K-Kayla" She froze and stuttered out when she saw Joshua carrying her though the door.

"Hey…guys" She smiled weakly. They both ran down the rest of the stairs stopping inches away from her and her dad. They looked like they wanted to hug her but they had restrained themselves in fear that they would cause her anymore harm.

"You're awake" Nia said relieved.

"We missed you" Sky teared up a bit.

"I'm okay I'm just happy to be with you guys again" she said softly and she was. She didn't want to be in that dark lonely place anymore. That strange black void

"Where's Cat? Is she's not here yet?"

"She's back at the lair" Sky answered Kayla as Joshua went up the stairs to her room. Nia and Skyler trialed close behind him.

He raced down the sewers as fast as he could. It didn't take him long to finally reach her house he could see her lying in bed while Nia and Skyler and Joshua stood around her and talked. He softly knocked on the window and they all turned to face him before Joshua walked over and let him inside.

"Kayla" he whispered crawling through the window leaving it open for when his brothers arrived.

"Mikey" she smiled weakly.

He moved closer to her carefully cupping her face with his hands and leaned his forehead against hers "You're okay" he breathed out in relief "I missed you so much"

"I missed you"

Her father's cough broke the tender moment and she rolled her eyes "Really dad?"

"Sorry"

"Are we interrupting?" Cat's teasing voice drifted into her room behind her were the rest of her friends and it made her tilt her head confused at them. They all looked different…taller…older. At first she thought it was just her imagination but now seeing them all together…seeing how much they changed. It also didn't help that her muscles felt extremely weak. She wouldn't be this weak from just a days…would she?

"How long have I been out? And please don't lie…Nia" She knew Nia was blunt and would tell her the truth.

"Three weeks" Nia replied.

"Three weeks?" that didn't see right to her.

"Sweetheart, a lot has happened since you were unconscious" Her father finally gave in.

Mikey held her hand and gave a reassuring squeeze "Tell me" she said softly.
