For those who thought that Daddy-Daughter Dance was too short, I revised it.

Ok I think I left ya'll on the edge long enough. Apologizes about that whole poll thing. I got one vote, then the rest came from reviews

*drumroll* And the stallion of Fluttershy's heart is...

Birdsong woke Fluttershy. They were free. They had beaten who ever had taken them.

She stirred and snuggled closer into the arms that were holding her. She eyes flew open, but then fluttered closed as she felt somepony stroking her mane.

"I have been dreaming about this since I came back."

Fluttershy smiled. "I have been dreaming about this for ten years."

Discord chuckled and kissed her nose. The coldness and contempt that had been in her heart were gone,. She was glad, but they had also forced her to see pas the hard feeling and find who she truly loved.

A groan a little ways away from the couple made them sit up. Jack pushed himself to his feet and rubbed his head. Jack turned to find Fluttershy in Discord's arms.

"Fluttershy?"

Fluttershy sighed and moved Discord's arm. "Go get Tina, I will meet you there."

Discord planted a soft kiss on Fluttershy's lips, shot a look at Jack, then poofed to Sweet Apple Acres. Fluttershy turned and faced Jack.

"Jack, I-"

"So your heart led you to him? Why am I not surprised?" Jack's tone was harsh.

"How did-"

"Whatever was holding us told us that the choice was up to you. That your heart would lead you."

Fluttershy averted her eyes. She had to say something. "Jack, what-"

"I thought I was enough. I thought what we had was special!" Jack's stare was cold and hurt-filled. It made Fluttershy's heart break for him.

"It was! Will you let me finish?" Jack turned his head away. Fluttershy sighed. "What we had was special. I enjoyed our time together. You made me laugh and smile at times I never thought I would be able to do either again. You were a father to Tina when she needed one, and you were a comfort to me. You are a wonderful stallion and I am sure that there is a perfect mare out there for you, but I am not her."

"Why can't it be you?" Jack asked quietly. His eyes pleaded with her, but her heart and mind were made up.

"Because my heart never left the one that I love. I may have forgotten for a little while, but I always loved him."

Fluttershy reached around and took off Jack's necklace. She held it out to him. "I hope that we can still be friends."

Jack wrapped a hoof around Fluttershy's, and looked at her with pained eyes. "Are you sure that this is what you want?"

Fluttershy nodded. "I have waited ten years for this. I have had some time to think about it."

Discord appeared at the front gate of Sweet Apple Acres. Just as he stepped inside the gate, a small filly hit him full speed.

"Where have you been? You have been gone for two days! Where's Momma? What happened? Is Momma better?"

"Whoa! Slow down, Squirt. I only caught some of that. Two days?"

"Yeah, but Auntie Applejack let me sleep in Apple Bloom's old room, and I got to help with chores. I even made a pie, and I didn't burn it or use salt instead of sugar."

"Good job, Squirt." Just then Applejack came out onto the porch.

"Discord, where is Fluttershy?"

"I'm here."

Discord caught Fluttershy as she landed. "How did it go?"

"He . . . well, it went well."

Applejack came over and hugged her friend. "What happened?"

"Now that is a story to be told over tea."

Applejack cocked her head to one side and glanced at Spike who had joined them. Tina sat between her parents and munched on the apple pie that she had made.

"It isn't a big surprise that ya chose Discord. All yur friends knew that ya have always loved deep down. The only question that I have is who was that filly?" Applejack asked.

Fluttershy shrugged. "She didn't tell me her name. She only called whoever was holding us 'brother'."

Discord had a brief memory if peace pass across his mind, but it was gone before he could really think about it. Something about that filly made him feel safe somehow, almost like a guardian angel.

"So," Spike looked at the pegasus and draconequus. "you two have finally made amends. Should Twilight put a curfew border spell on Fluttershy's cottage?" His raised eyebrows finished the inference. Discord didn't attempt to hid his glare while Fluttershy blushed.

"Wun wufd we-"

"Don't talk and chew, Tina," Fluttershy scolded. "Manners please."

Tina chewed for another minute then swallowed. "Sorry, I was asking why would we need borders on the cottage? Daddy isn't gonna hurt me or Momma."

A raised eyebrow over Tina's head asked Discord's question. Fluttershy shrugged and rolled her eyes in response. Tina was going to be ten sooner, she would have that certain conversation then.

"Thanks for the offer, Spike, but that won't be necessary," Fluttershy said as Discord slid a claw up between her wings making her shiver.

Applejack and Spike share a glance. "If ya say so. Just be aware that there is a young filly in the house."

Discord spent quite a bit of time at Fluttershy's cottage, though Angel Bunny's great-great-great grandson (since Angel Bunny could hardly move from his bed in the kitchen) would glare at Discord every time that he went near Fluttershy's bedroom door. Contempt for any sort of male in Fluttershy's cottage must run in that Bunny's family.

Doing what he could, Discord helped make the the trio more like a family. He made Tina's lunch and would walk her to school. He helped Fluttershy around the cottage (magic made that very easy so he and Fluttershy could have some together time).

A few weeks after the choice, Discord was watching Tina and Fluttershy sing with a flock of birds. Fluttershy glanced back and smiled at him. An image of a few more chaotic fillies and colts running around flew across Discord's mind. He shook it surprised.

Since when did he become a family man?

A/N: I made it as ambiguous as I could, but apparently ya'll understand me well enough.

Only a few more chapters left, then the BIG FINALE!
