Isho: got another out finally.

Later on during my free period, With and I were on our way towards the library to study when someone calls out to me. I stop and look around. I see that blond guy from last week strolling up to me. My ears lay against my head and I feel With grip my arm tighter where his arms were wrapped around mine. The blond gets close and stops when he's just a few feet from me.

"Hello Daisuke. Are free right now?"

He's looking directly into my eyes and I'm starting to feel a little funny.

"Ah, well-"

"No! Suki is going to study with With!"

I get startled back to reality when With makes his outburst and I notice that, ah, Kraid glaring down at my friend.

"Well, that's how it is. Sorry."

With that, we continue into the library. What was with that guy? He's giving me really bad vibes. We find a table and sit down, pulling out the books we need. With then grabs my hand and I look up at him. He has a very serious look on his face.

"Suki, stay away from him. He's bad. With is scared he'll hurt Suki."

I smile and then just pat his hand.

"Don't worry, I've never actually approached him on my own. I'll be fine, thanks With."

I try to pull my hand away but With hangs on, his face growing more stern.

"With is serious Suki!"

"I'll be fine. Can we study please?"

With continues to look worried but lets it go anyway and we finally start to study.

"Dark! Dark!"

My brows furrow and I turn to see With's red mop of hair running up to me. I sigh, what the hell does this brat want? Always clinging to my Dai-chan, with a chipper look on his face. The bastard, why can't I cling to Dai-chan? I'm about to turn around again and go on my merry way when With latches himself to me.

"Wait! (pant) Dark, haa haa, With needs to say something."

"Why should I care?"

He shoots a disgruntled at me then continues.

"It's about Suki."

I raise an eyebrow and pause. Now he has my attention. It's then that I notice the anxious scent clinging to him.

"What happened with Dai-chan?"

"A strange person is following Suki around. With is worried about Suki. Dark has to protect Suki, cause With can't!"

I start to get angry, someone moving in on my stuff? We'll see about that! I put My hands on With's shoulders and look him straight in his watery eyes.

"Who is following him around?"

"Ah, Satoshi. My mum says this weekend is good so we're all going to my place. Are you good to go as well?"

Icy eyes turn to me and Satoshi's pale blue head nods. I smile, my tail flicking back and forth as we turn back to our individual assignments. I can't wait until this weekend! I'll call mum later to let her know exactly who's coming over. I had given them all my address last week so they can come over at any time.

I wonder what kind of activity we can do? I don't have a lot of multi player video games, since I was pretty cut off before I came here. I scrunch my eyebrows and swish my tail in agitation. I never thought about how to entertain them before so now I'm stuck. Will they be ok with movies? Mum has a lot of them, so there should be something that everyone wants to watch, right?

I shake my head then start working on my project again. I'll deal with it when the time comes. I'm still in school right now and I can't let my grades suffer just because I have a social life now.

Soon enough the bell rings and class is over. I managed to make good progress on my painting considering how distracted I was thinking about this weekend. I'm heading out the door when I hear someone calling out to me. My ears swivel and I turn around to see Dark and With coming up to me at a fast pace. With looking concerned and Dark looking, well, dark.

I scrunch my eyebrows and wait for them to get to me.

"What's wrong you guys?"

They stop when they get to me and Dark grabs my arm.

"Daisuke, is it true a weird guy has been approaching you?"

I raise my eyebrows and look at With whose still standing next to Dark still looking concerned. I don't know what's more surprising, Dark using my actual name or With going to Dark and telling him my problems behind my back. Dark tugs my arm and I wince, as his grip gets tighter.

I frown and then growl lowly and yank my arm from his grip, startling him.

"You're hurting me! And yes, not that it's any business of yours. Some guy named Kraid has been approaching me lately. Why do you care?"

He just sighs, runs his hands through his hair and looks around. He then gently takes my hand and leads me outside. I notice With has stopped following as Dark speaks up again.

"Sorry about that, but we need to talk privately. Shit, I knew this would happen."

"What are you talking about?"

He shakes his head.

"I'll let you know when we get back to the dorm."

I pout then sigh.

"Fine."

We soon get to the dorms, still holding hands. Got, how red is my face right now? Thankfully we didn't pass anyone in the dorms. He let's go once we get to our room and he directs me to sit on my bed. I do so as he shuts the door and watch him sit down across from me on his own bed, looking exasperated.

"Wh-what has got you all stressed out? If it's about Kraid, I don't approach him on my own he just-"

"That's just it. He keeps approaching you, he's bad news Dai-chan. And it's not just him. He's taking advantage of the fact that my scents faded off of you and before long it won't just be him coming after you."

"What do you mean? And what's this about your scent?"

He starts rubbing his temples and my ears flatten as his scent becomes agitated again and swirls around me in the enclosed space. His smell has been getting to me lately.

"Don't you even remember your first day? After that big fight I got, for all intents and purposes, first dibs on you."

I'm about to rebuke his claim when he holds up his hand, silencing me.

"Let me finish. It just means that until my claim subsides, they have to back off from any amorous advance. My claim remains valid as long as my scent is on you. That way, even if I'm not with you, they will know better than to make a pass at you."

He pauses and takes a deep breath before continuing.

"I don't know exactly what Kraid is, but I have heard nothing but bad things about him since school. He's a year a head of us and he's been with a lot of girls and guys, and from what I've heard, they all drastically changed after being with him, and not in a good way."

He stops and I look down, troubled. I never did have a good feeling about him, but I just don't know how to avoid him when he's the one tracking me down. My ears flatten and I start to tear up. But I don't know about this whole scent thing, if that means Dark touching me that way again, I don't want that.

I suddenly feel Dark sitting down next to me and pulling me into a soft hug.

"Don't worry, I won't let him hurt you. I promise."

I shake my head.

"Does this mean you're going to start touching me like that again?"

I hear him sigh as his breath ghosts past my ears. He then nuzzles my head, burying his nose in my hair.

"No, I admit I didn't need to go that far. That was my bad and I'm sorry for making you feel uncomfortable. If you're ok with it, all I would have to do to keep my scent on you is to hug you like this at least once a day. Only tame stuff, and I promise to keep my hands to myself."

I think, I don't mind the hugs; they actually make me feel comfortable. I slowly nod.

"As long as it's only hugs, then it's ok."

"Ok, I promise."

We stay like this for a little bit longer as we slowly calm down. Some time later I remember that I have to call mum and I excuse myself reluctantly. I wonder how this weekend will go.

i've finally finished college and gt a proper job hurray! i now work for the government fixing roads. well, i start tomorrow so i'm nervous. well, see ya when i get out another chappie!
