We open the windows to get rid of all traces of Febreeze and then sit around waiting for the others to show up while watching the tv. Dark said that Mum left some money for lunch on the counter in an envelope and not much else was said after that. After about twenty minutes I noticed something that made me feel on edge again.

Dark wasn't wearing a shirt.

How did I not notice before now? Oh god, stop staring! I don't need him to notice and start acting smug again! I rigidly focus on the tv, only letting myself sneak tiny glances at his, ah, form. I ball my fists in my pants and attempt to keep acting normal. Eventually I decide the torture isn't worth it and turn towards my very lean, yet somewhat built roommate, blush rising on my face as I gulp around a lump.

"Ah, um, are you planning to be half dressed when everyone gets here?"

He looks at me and blinks a bit and then looks down at himself. He then smiles a bit sheepishly and gets up.

"Ah, sorry, I forgot. I'll go and fix that now. Just give me a-"

At that moment there is a knock on the front door. We exchange glances and I look at the clock. 9 is too early for anyone to show up a head and the knock sounded very timid for someone who is expected. I scrunch my brows and worriedly put my hands on my ears, trying to will them away. Out of the corner of my eye I see Dark heading to the door. I look up and notice that he's keeping himself between me and the door, keeping me out of sight of whoever it is as he opens the door.

I open the door, taking care that whoever it is won't be able to see Dai-chan, and look out to see a very haggard looking and disheveled man. I resist the urge to crinkle my nose when I notice his rather strong stench makes its way to me. It doesn't seem like this man has seen a bathroom in a while, let alone a house. I can't even make out his face behind that beard of his.

He seems surprised when I open the door and he stands there looking at me timidly behind his bangs and jumps when I clear my throat. I don't like the look of this guy and I don't plan to make Dai-chan hide longer than necessary.

"Can I help you? I'm afraid I can't do much for the homeless though."

That seems to irritate him, as he seems to lose his apprehension and draws himself up and squares his shoulders in challenge. Ballsey, but he's human, so I can take him easily. I would have to hold back though.

"I'm not homeless, and I have business with Emiko. I would like to speak with her."

I narrow my eyes draw myself up as well, accepting his challenge. Dai-chan and I may be the same age but, no offence to him, I don't look very young. Depending on how I act, I can pass as an adult.

"Really? With that appearance anyone would make that assumption. And going off the fact that I wasn't told that she was expecting anyone, I suggest you leave."

He flinches, but immediately recovers and opens his mouth to retort when I full on glare at him.

"Now. I will remove you if I have to."

The man glowers, but seems to take my advice and reluctantly turns to leave. AS he does I close the door and lock it. I huff out my tension and then turn around and see Dai-chan moving away from the now closed windows, and hat on. It seems he also closed the blinds, so I flick the lights on as He removes his cap and sits down on the couch again. He looks at me with a worried expression and I smile at him.

"Guess I'll go get dressed now."

A smile twitches at his lips and I walk up the stairs to get dressed. It's a shame, I'm going to miss him ogling me. I'll have to be sure to show my figure off more from now on. He might not be old enough to make babies, but we're boys, so that doesn't matter. I want to hurry up and claim him, I don't want to be pushy, and I promised not to be, but my instincts are screaming at me to fuck him, if nothing else than to keeps others away.

I'll need to do everything I can to court him without scaring him. I don't want to wait for his heat. Besides, since he's human he may not be ok with any actions that take place during such a time, since he would pretty much be drunk. I go into the guest room and pull on a shirt that, if I might say, is relatively flattering on my figure and go back down to the main level. I should tell Emiko about what happened, that man didn't seem very stable and might come back.

I open the door to see Satoshi and smile while stepping aside to let him in. I had managed to get control of my ears and tail ten minutes before Towa and With showed up around 10:45. Since then I've been keeping them hidden as Saehara and then Riku showed up a bit later. It was now 11:05 and everyone was accounted for and milling about the living room.

I go up to the rest of them and With immediately latches to my arm. It's good that he has the sense to not go out looking like me with ears and tail. It kind of puts me off though. You tend to get used to a certain look after a while.

"Well, now that we're all here, what shall we do?"

Towa spoke to the rest of the group but is looking at me as well as everyone else. Dark then pipes up, saving me from having to speak.

"Well, why don't we walk around and get to know the neighborhood? Dai-chan said he needs practice blending in and we could find a place to eat along the way."

I nod when they confirm with me and Saehara practically bounces to the door and opens it.

"Speak no more! You had me at food!"

Dark promptly kicks him out and Saehara almost falls over while letting out a rather pathetic yelp. Riku rolls her eyes while Towa giggles and turns to me.

"Don't worry Niwa-kun, we'll make sure to help you. You'll get used to it in no time! If you do slip we'll hide you until you get control back."

She then goes over to the couch and picks up my hat and walks with us out the door. She looks at me and smiles even more while waving it slightly.

"Just in case."

my computer is over 6 1/2 years old now. i will miss it when it finally gives out. the keyboard doesn't work anymore. had to plug one into the usb and got an external to back everything up
