And I'm back! Ugh I feel like shit lol but time off from work helped propel this chapter forward.
Um...well let's jump into it!
Naruto leaned against the wall of the room that Dragon and Sabo were using to interrogate the blonde woman they'd caught on the Wind Granma. The sealing jutsu he'd gained from having Shukaku's chakra kept her restrained despite her efforts to escape. He had been asked to stand in to try and decipher whether she was telling the truth through his abilities on top of Sabo and Dragon's Haki.
All in all, the woman had no chance of getting out alive if they decided that she wasn't worth their time and was better off dead due to her position as a member of Cipher Pol, a fact that was confirmed when she attacked them when Naruto called her out.
Two days had passed since then, with little to no results as they kept trying to get her to talk.
"Look there is no point in lying," Sabo said putting his hands on the table, an annoyed look on his face as they had been trying to get her to talk for a while now only for her to lie or refuse to comment.
Dragon sighed as he knew they weren't going to get anywhere with her as things stood. They didn't even have a name yet.
"Naruto, let me give it a shot," Kurama said from within the blond's consciousness as he felt that maybe he could convince the woman to budge through…other means than what had currently been attempted. It was clear to the strongest of the Tailed Beasts that neither Sabo nor Dragon were particularly good at interrogating, so he wanted to take a stab.
"Kurama…don't do anything rash," Naruto replied before handing control over to the fox inside of him.
"Do I ever? Don't answer that,"
The shift was instantly noticed by the other three in the room. Sabo and Dragon felt the shift in the air around Naruto, noticing his changing appearance in ways that they had yet to see yet. His nails grew longer, almost resembling claws now. The lines on his face grew thicker and darker while his hair grew wilder than before.
But the starkest change was in his eyes. Gone were the joy-filled oceans of blue. Now they were an angry red, with elongated pupils resembling those of a predator. As the blond smirked, his elongated fangs were present for everyone to see.
Dragon and Sabo tensed at the sudden change in their fellow army member. Aside from looking more dangerous, his energy felt darker. For the blond woman sealed to a chair, the feeling went further than just a dark feeling. She felt a dark ominous presence burrowing deep into her psyche. 'This…isn't Haki!' she realized. It wasn't Haoshoku Haki, she had felt that before and this was completely different.
It wasn't his will trying to dominate her mind. It was more of a sense of deep fear that gripped her heart. As he approached, she saw the teen's shadow morphing away from that of a human, and into that of a massive beast, tails swishing around the room.
Dragon and Sabo weren't even a factor in her mind anymore. It was as if the room had disappeared and it was just her and this…monster. Her eyes widened as the room around her vanished, and behind the blond was a gargantuan orange fox, large enough to eat an entire ship in one bite.
"What's wrong girl?" The blond asked, but everyone noticed that his voice was different now. It was deeper and had a dark undertone as he locked eyes with the woman. While Sabo looked a bit weary, Dragon knew exactly who and what he was. Naruto had told the older man about what the Tailed Beasts were and of his existence inside of him. "What is your name human?"
The woman clenched her teeth but didn't say anything in response at first but a sudden vision of the blond stabbing his hand through her heart shook her. It wasn't just one vision, it was several different versions of her death at the hand of the demonic blond.
"I'll let you know now, I am not Naruto. He's kind, empathetic, and soft. I on the other hand…" He trailed off, raising a clawed hand up to the blond woman's neck and placing a nail against her soft skin. "Well, I used to destroy entire villages because they bothered me. What's one more woman," he mentioned, pressing his nail a bit closer, a bud of blood coming up from the slight cut and trailing down the blond woman's neck.
"Oi Kurama! You're going a bit too far!" Naruto complained, not liking the strategy.
Kurama chuckled using Naruto's body, "Naruto feels like I'm going a bit too far here," He told the woman as he pulled his hand back. "Know this, you're at our mercy right now. I would have taken your head the moment you tried to attack us. My jinchuuriki did you the mercy of capturing you instead. I won't allow that mistake to be done twice. So, tell me your name, and you can deal with my…better half," Kurama offered, fangs displayed for her to see in his wicked grin.
"Tamam-," She began to reply but was cut off by a vision of a claw piercing through her chest, leaving a gaping hole that no medic without a substantially powerful healing Devil Fruit would be able to close up.
"You're lying,"
The blond glared up at the red-eyed blond with a hard glare. She had been tasked with keeping track of Gild Tesoro until the Revolutionary Army to his ship, then she had been reassigned to keep an eye on the group until she found a good time to leave or discovered their main base. Now here she was standing in front of someone who managed to block an Admiral's attack and get away on top of it all. She had hoped that with the blond leaving soon after they left the Gran Tesoro that she'd be taken to their base before he returned.
"How tackless," The blond said looking up at Kurama's red eyes. She knew that it was either play ball or die with this guy, and she really didn't want to die. "My name is Stussy," she admitted bitterly, Kurama knowing that she was telling the truth this time around.
Kurama smirked as he sat down in front of her, his Killing Intent receding until the room seemed wholly normal again. "Good to meet you Stussy. My name is Kurama," He said narrowing his eyes slightly at her. "What branch of Cipher Pol do you work for?"
"I don't see ho-" Stussy started before a clawed hand grasped her neck, nails pressing against her neck.
"Answer the question brat,"
Stussy locked eyes with the possessed Naruto, she could feel his claws pressing against her soft skin. It would take just a quick swipe from his clawed hand to tear her throat out. Dragon and Sabo looked like they were about to intervene on the chance that the fox went too far. "CP 7…" Stussy replied not wanting to risk her own head being removed.
Kurama smirked before his features started to revert back to Naruto's. "Don't forget, I'm still listening," the fox said before Naruto regained control.
"Sorry about him, he can be a bit of an idiot," Naruto said relaxing back into the chair. "I"m sure you know my name already…" he lamented for a moment before smiling brightly. "But I'm Uzumaki Naruto," the blond said, introducing himself formally to the spy.
"If you think I'll sell out the World Government, you're absolutely wrong," Stussy told her fellow blond, unwilling to give up any information she had on the World Nobles or the World Government.
"Why?" Naruto asked blue eyes narrowed on the blond. "You know what they do to people all over the world don't you?" he asked, figuring that given her position among the World Government's spies, she'd be more than familiar with the less-than-savory acts that the World Nobles and thus the World Government committed.
"It is within their right as the World Government," Stussy replied firm on her stance that the World Government had the right to tax people and use its citizens as it needed. "And as the descendants of the original twenty kings, the World Nobles are above any law," she reaffirmed, not saying anything past that.
Naruto scowled as it was clear that they weren't going to get anywhere using the conventional methods of interrogation. Sure Kurama could bully her into revealing some things, but he doubt that she'd go as far as telling them anything of real substance. Likely because if word got out and was traced back to her, she was good as dead anyways.
Thinking about how to handle the situation, he settled on a possible solution. One that if it didn't work, would essentially eliminate any hope that she could be swayed to their side. Naruto drew in a massive amount of Natural Energy, his eyes shifting to their golden-orange state with cross-like pupils.
He reached out with his senses, pulling on the pain and suffering going on across the world. The pain of those suffering under the Celestial Dragons. Under the negligence of the Marines who refused to help civilians without being extra by them. "Sorry about this," Naruto said before placing his knuckles against Stussy's forehead.
The woman's eyes widened as she was instantly bombarded with hundreds if not thousands of horrible visions from all over the world. She had seen many horrible things throughout her time working for the World Government, but she had never felt it like this.
This was more than merely seeing or hearing tragedy. She felt like she was going through it herself. As if she was no longer an observer but rather the very person suffering through the cruelties of the world. She felt the soul-crushing sadness of watching her husband get hung right before you. The painful hunger of not having anything to feed yourself for your family for weeks, as your body withers away. The feeling of a hot barbed whip lashing at her back, over and over and over and OVER again. The utter humiliation of being forcefully fucked but dozens because you were sold and bought as a slave, made into something less than human.
Death, famine, war, disease, and so much worse. Again and again, each one put her in the shoes of a different person.
Her years of training helped her endure it, but as more and more flashes filled her mind, even her finely fortified mind started to crack from the experienced she was going through.
"Stop it," she muttered, the feeling of a cock forcing its way into her yet it was the experience of another woman in Mariejois, raped by a Celestial Dragon.
"Stop it!" she repeated, her body withering away as black boils grew across her body, leaving her in a state of endless agony. But it was an entire village in the North Blue, hundreds dead from a plague.
"STOP IT!" Stussy shouted, everyone she had ever cared about and loved was executed before her eyes, shot dead by a group of Marines. But it was a child whose family was too poor to pay the tribute to the World Government.
It was endless. An endless cycle of pain. "Stop it, stop it, stop it please!" She cried out, shaky hands grasping Naruto's wrist, trying to pry his fist away from her forehead to break the link and end the stream of suffering she was experiencing firsthand.
Sabo put a hand on Naruto's wrist, getting the blond's attention. "I think that's enough," the amnesiac said, starting to feel bad about whatever Naruto was doing to her. He saw the blond pull his hand away from Stussy her head dropping as she passed out from the strain of seeing the world's pain. "What…did you do?" he asked the sage who sighed as he powered down.
"I showed her just what the World Government was doing to people. How much suffering existed because of people like her and how bad things had gotten what others were going through while she brushed their pain aside," Naruto admitted, knowing that what he did was cruel. But he saw it as a necessary evil. If not she'd be just like the other drones under the Celestial Dragons who turned a blind eye to the injustice that engulfed the world.
"You did more than show here didn't you?" Dragon asked, knowing that as a member of Cipher Pol, she had likely seen a lot of disturbing stuff and had been trained to handle it. To force her into begging the blond to stop, it must have been something worse.
"I made her experience it firsthand," Naruto admitted as he looked back at the blond who was still processing the whole sequence. He felt bad, but sometimes people needed to see just how fucked up the world was in order to really open their eyes. And someone so deep in the system as Stussy would have been, likely needed an extra push. "I'm gonna go check on Yamato, let me know how things go here," Naruto said feeling like he had done what he could and he needed to make sure Yamato was recovering alright.
Arriving back in Yamato's room, he found sitting in bed reading through Oden's logbook for what he assumed was the thousandth time. She had a wide smile on her face as she turned each page. As she reread each adventure that the samurai had gone through, she looked like it was her first time reading the book.
"Having fun?" he asked, making himself known to the tall woman who had been so engrossed in her book that she hadn't noticed the jinchuuriki at the door. Closing the book she leaned back against the bedboard. "Gotta read that book one day, if you let me," Naruto laughed out.
"Of course, you can read it!" Yamato replied, trusting the blond with her 'bible'. "After I finish it…again," she added wanting to finish reading the logbook again before she loaned it out to her lover.
Yamato moved over a little so he could sit beside her in bed. "How are your wounds?" Naruto asked, wanting to heal her so she didn't have to suffer through them but knew that she was sturdier than he thought. The more powerful people of this world were rather tough, something he had been figuring out. Even Mihawk who aside from Haki had no other powers was able to take his punches. Very few shinobi could ever hope to do that.
"My back aches," she whined, rubbing her back pitifully. "Massage it for me?" pulling her kimono top down to reveal her bandaged chest without a hint of hesitation.
"Of course," Naruto replied, her turning over so her back was up to him. Faint orange chakra coated his hands as he touched her exposed back. Yamato relaxed against the mattress as her lover's fingers pressed against her sore back.
Yamato groaned as she felt Naruto's chakra penetrate her skin, warming her muscles. "That's the spot," she moaned as he found a spot on her back that was particularly sore. Naruto's charka felt magical to her as it healed and relaxed the muscles. "I wish I had you around back in Wano," Yamato mentioned. While she had gotten crushed by Borsalino, he'd held back more than her father normally did against her. "For several reasons," she added on.
Pulling his hands back, he let Yamato take a moment to relax. "Better?" he asked hoping that he'd help her with her back issues.
"Much," she said turning over onto her side. "Thanks again, for letting me fight that Admiral. I know you were hesitant about it," the horned woman stated. She'd seen his face on the bridge when she challenged Kizaru to a battle, there was no doubt in her mind that he wanted to stop her. "I needed to see where I stood, and what I need to work on," Yamato admitted.
Kaido was her goal. To beat her father and help free Wano and the samurai from his oppression. To restore the country to the one she heard so much about. To fulfill Oden's dream of opening up the country. And to do that she needed to get stronger, and she'd never do that if she didn't face adversity in battle.
"You're not a kid Yamato, and I trust you with my life. I knew that you wanted this, and I trusted you to not go too far over your head," he told her, running his fingers through her white hair that was out of her usual ponytail.
It felt nice to know that Naruto had faith in her choices. That he believed in her enough to make her own choices and live life as she wanted. It was a stark contrast to her father who wanted to control everything she did. Someone who wouldn't let her live the life she wanted to live and instead live solely for them.
Rolling onto him, she winced as she held up her weight over him, her larger frame pinning him down to the bed. A confident smile on her face as her orange eyes locked with his blue ones. Leaning down, she claimed his lips for herself. His arms snaked their way around her neck to pull her close before parting.
"You should rest Yamato," he told her knowing how things would go if things continued how they were going. The former prisoner pouted as Naruto seemed to turn down her advances. "Oi, don't give me that look," Naruto chastised, pinching her cheek.
Yamato rolled off him and crossed her arms, "I guess you're right," she said knowing that her entire body was still covered in injuries. "I just hate being stuck in bed!" the horned woman complained, tired of being confined to the room. She wanted to go out onto the ship, but Naruto had told her that they were dealing with something and didn't want to risk her.
"Well, I have something that I think will make things a bit better," Naruto mentioned, sealing a poster. Holding it up, he couldn't help but smile at her reaction.
Yamato's eyes widened as she saw what Naruto had in his hands. Her face brightened up at sight, "Is that…my own wanted poster!" Yamato cried out, yanking the paper from the blond's hands and looking at it with a look of euphoria. "Wolf Demon Yamato!" She declared as she reads the epithet that she had been given by the World Government. Her bounty wasn't much compared to Naruto's but sat at a respectable forty million beri.
"Congrats on your first bounty," Naruto congratulated, feeling happy for his lover as she got recognized as a threat by the governing body of most of the world. Granted the picture of her had been in her wolf-hybrid form instead of her human form. In it she almost looked like a savage beast, growling at her opponent while baring her fangs and claws.
"I wish I could see Kaido's face when he sees," Yamato stated, knowing that it was possible that her father had yet to return to Onigashima and learn of her disappearance.
Open Ocean- New World
A large, behemoth of the man stood at the helm of a ship large enough to carry someone of his size. Wild black hair cascaded down his back over a feathering purple cape. His left arm was covered in a tattoo of orange scales with a skull on his wrist near his fist. On his right side, there was a large scar shaped like an 'X' that marred an otherwise unharmed body. Two of the most distinctive features of the man were the two large curved white horns and the long mustache.
The man brought up a massive bottle to his lips and chugged the contents of it without a care. Drops of the beverage dripped down his chin before he brought the bottle back and wiped his mouth.
"Lord Kaido," one of his men greeted, cautiously approaching the beast of a man as he picked up another bottle of sake. "T-there's something you should see," he said bringing a newspaper for his captain to see.
"Hm?" Kaido grunted looking down at the piece of paper. Bringing it up to his face, his eyes narrowed. In an instant, everyone on the ship was brought to their knees as a massive wave of Haki washed over the area. "So, you managed to escape, eh Yamato?" he growled out reading the article that had been published by the World Government. Despite the picture not looking completely like his daughter, he knew of her Devil Fruit and the forms she could take.
'Golden Devil' Uzumaki Naruto was confronted by one of Marine's three admirals, Admiral 'Kizaru' Borsalino while attempting a prison break. Along with him, Admiral Kirzaru encountered a second person assisting Uzumaki whom we learned is named Yamato. As of now, it remains unknown who this wolf-like woman is, her connection to the dangerous revolutionary is ominous alone. This 'Yamato' has been named the 'Ogre Princess' by the World Government for her barbaric way of fighting yet elegant ice powers. What could the connection between her and Uzumaki b-
Kaido didn't finish reading before he crushed the paper in his grip, teeth gashing against one another at the thought that his only child had escaped from Onigashima and was now galavanting about with the Revolutionary Army. He recalled that Big Mom had a conflict with them recently which apparently end with Naruto interfering.
He'd read quite a bit amount the now infamous blond of the rebel group. A monstrous human with too many unconnected powers for them all to come from one fruit. One of the few people to reach a bounty of over a billion in less than a year active. And most mysterious of all, was that there was no sign of him before he showed up one day.
A man with that much power didn't just 'show up'. No, there was something more to him, Kaido knew it. He just didn't know what it was.
"Yamato…you've always been a headache…but you've really done it now," he growled as he realized that there was a chance that Naruto had managed to make it to Wano and left with Yamato in tow. This likely meant that if he wanted to get Yamato back under his thumb, he'd have to fight the blond, someone he was confident he could beat in battle, but didn't want to deal with having to fight with the Revolutionary Army.
He'd heard from his informant from the Big Mom pirates how one of his former crewmate's daughters and one of her Sweet Commanders was engaged to the man who freed Yamato. That meant that it was possible that fighting against the blond could draw in his fellow Emperor and her crew against him and his crew. A possibility he didn't want to challenge at the moment. He had faith in the strength of his crew, but a fight against both the crew of a Yonko and the Revolutionary Army was too risky.
Grabbing his kanabo, he shattered the table in front of him, shaking the whole ship. "Uzumaki Naruto, you'll pay for going against me," he growled knowing that he couldn't let the strange blond's actions go unpunished forever. When he got his hands on him, he would make sure Naruto knew just who he'd wronged.
Bringing his sake up, he decided to bury his anger with more and more sake, "More sake!" he called out as he downed an entire bottle in seconds. "And someone fixes my table!"
"You think that Princess Yamato and the Golden Devil f-" one of the crewmates whispered to another before a large black weapon slammed him through the wall.
Kaido growled as several more bottles of alcohol were brought to him.
Naruto practiced his swings with his sword, trying his best to learn some basic moves from the books he had gotten from some swordsmen in the Revolutionary Army. He couldn't deny that he wasn't exactly the best sword user. Even back in his world he hardly ever picked up anything other than some basic kunai or shuriken.
Several clones practiced the same motions around him to speed up the learning process as much as possible. On another part, a clone was working with Yamato on her Rasengan. He was impressed by how far she got by just watching him use the jutsu over and over again, but it was still far from perfect.
After a single use, it had left her arm severely injured. When her version of the Rasengan had exploded against Kizaru, it had arguably caused more damage to her than it did her opponent. She had several gashes along the arm.
It was a lack of control on Yamato's part from his point of view. She had more than enough power, but the perfect control needed to maintain and control the spiraling sphere was beyond her abilities for the moment. In time she'd be able to finish it, but for now, he felt it was too risky for her to use it constantly. The last thing he wanted was her blowing off her own arm in battle.
He hoped that everything was going well with Stussy. They had left soon after he checked on Yamato, figuring that she was good to sail without the doctors from the Wind Granma checking on her. From what Dragon told him as they left, she had become a bit more talkative after what he did to her.
"You did the right thing Naruto," Kurama said to Naruto, feeling that his jinchuuriki had done nothing wrong when trying to get Stussy to talk.
Naruto looked out to see, he could see the Wind Granma sailing in another direction. "We tortured her Kurama. Even if we didn't physically hurt her, we made her go through Hell," Naruto replied, feeling a bit bad for the sheer amount of horror that he'd projected into his fellow blond's mind.
"That's all stuff she helped cause Naruto! Dragon told us what Cipher Pol does behind the scenes. And a lot of that suffering is caused directly due to the World Government which she worked to protect. She's not stupid Naruto, she knew what the World Government does, and yet she still did their dirtiest deeds. She deserved to feel the full brunt of her crimes against the world," Kurama growled, knowing that his host had a gentle heart and even if it was effective, he'd feel bad.
"I know, I just wish we didn't have to do something like that. This world…really is fucked up isn't it Kurama? Ours was consumed by hatred. People constantly kill each other to get back at the other, constantly causing people pain. This world…is filled with greed and corruption. Both cause pain, but in different ways," Naruto said as he couldn't help but contemplate the problems going on across the world.
At first, he thought that it was similar to his own, but he could see now that this place was very different. From the way, people acted to the problems that plagued it.
"Oh? Are you gonna give up then?"
Naruto clicked his teeth, "Of course not! I'm still gonna bring peace to this world!" He yelled back at Kurama who laughed at his jinchuuriki. "Between the World Government and Pirates, I don't know which is worse. Sure some pirates aren't bad like Ace, but look at Big Mom and Kaido…the things they've done are cruel beyond reason…"
"Agreed, but remember an Admiral came to Tequila Wolf to protect it from you. The very Marines who are supposed to stand for justice actively tried to protect slavery. In the end, both are the same," Kurama concluded, feeling like in a way the Marines had become the largest pirate crew in the world. There was good on both sides, but there was also evil. And it seemed like those at the top of either side of the coin were going with committing atrocities.
"Naruto! Island! Can we make a stop?" Yamato called out, spotting an island in the distance with what looked to be a city. They might have had a decent supply of food and water left, but she wanted to buy some sake and new clothing after Kizaru had roughed up her outfit and she had been forced to use some extra clothing donated by Naruto's allies.
"Sure!" Naruto yelled back as he shelved the conversation with Kurama for now.
And there we go! Another chapter done and over with! I think there are maybe 2 chapters until I skip forward in time...maybe? I mean...if I can't skip at 20 I guess maybe some filler until chapter 25 XD
