Nobody pov

Luke laid back and closed his eyes, enjoying the peacefulness. A voice broke the silence.

"Chilling out?"

"As always. For a hot guy like myself, I need to 'chill out' every now and then." Luke grinned

"Was that supposed to amuse me?" She raised her eyebrows

"Perhaps." Luke looked up.

Annabeth chuckled as she sat down next to him. "Thanks Luke. For helping me out with Percy. I really appreciate it."

Luke sat up so he could face her. "Always happy to help you, Annabeth."

"I know, Luke." Annabeth smiled warmly.

"There's something I've been wanting to ask you." Luke faked seriousness.

"Yeah?"

"What exactly made you believe that your feelings for me were, well, y' know, sisterly? I mean, something must have compelled you to break a dying man's heart."

"UGH." Annabeth frowned. "This is getting old Luke."

Luke threw his head back and laughed. "No, seriously. I was dying. And you go ahead and deliver the most fatal blow. 'You were like a brother to me Luke.'" Luke said in a horrible imitation of Annabeth.

"Luke! I mean...Percy was...I mean...why do you have to bring this up?" Luke was amused by how flustered Annabeth looked. He bit his lip to stop himself from laughing.

"Oh right. With Percy there, with his expectant puppy eyes, who'd care for poor Luke."

Annabeth raised an eyebrow. "Are you...jealous of Percy? You can't be serious Luke. Girls used to line up for you."

"Yeah. And die for me." His amused expression had turned to disheartened , and the light-hearted atmosphere had turned grim.

"Luke...you were a hero in the end. I told you that." Annabeth placed her hand on his shoulder gently.

"Yeah right." Luke said bitterly. "Solving a problem I was the cause of doesn't make me a hero."

"Forget it. It's useless talking to you." Annabeth got up to leave, but Luke grabbed her hand and pulled her back down.

"Alright I'm sorry. Don't go." So she sat back down, and Luke fell back, his head on her lap. She'd loved gazing into his intense eyes back in the day.

But now, she'd find herself wishing they were sea-green.

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Nico grabbed Percy by the neck and dragged him to his room, where he let him go.

"You've got quite a grip." Percy caressed his neck. In response, Nico punched him in the gut.

"OK. I deserved that." Percy couldn't help but chuckle.

"Oh, you find this funny? Do you have any idea how worried I was? How worried Carter was? You'd just left me to handle the situation." Nico was scary when he was angry. Percy tried not to show that he was actually intimidated.

"I'm sorry." Percy pulled his best innocent face, which seemed to work. Nico's expression softened.

"Where were you?" Nico inquired.

"On Ogygia."

"Wait, as in Calypso's island? "

"Well, technically it's my island now." Percy muttered.

"Pardon?"

"Nevermind that. But here's the most important thing. As if Greek and Romania gods weren't enough for the world to deal with, we've now got Egyptians!"

"Egyptian gods?" Nico raised an eyebrow.

"Oh yes, they exist. And Sadie is an Egyptian magician, by the way."

Nico sighed as he ran his hand through his hair. "And you found out how?"

"She told me. I mean, since we're dating we decided to come clean."

"You're dating now. Oh great." Some part of Nico wondered what May's reaction to this would be. He wanted this to happen too, but now things were different. "This is the most controversial thing you've ever done. And for you, that's saying a lot."

Percy bit his lip. "Yeah, I got that."

"I'm serious Percy. There's a reason why their world and ours doesn't mix."

"I know! Like I said, I already got the 'things will be difficult' lecture from Dad." Percy groaned.

"Poseidon warned you?" Nico asked gravely. Percy nodded. Nico sighed.

"You do realise this means things are very serious?" Percy nodded again.

"You really like her?"

"No. I actually love her." Percy said, which caused Nico to face palm. Percy didn't like things easy. That, he was sure of. But he wanted Percy to be happy. And Percy was happy with Sadie, Nico could see that. He'd decided he'd stand by Percy, no matter what happened. Circumstances had reduced him to a Hollywood supporting cast.
