Again, sorry that this isn't necessarily true to the episode.
Prue was proud at how her powers had progressed. Sure, it was a little bit under the personal gain category to clean the attic with her power, but in a way, she felt that was the least they owed her at least that much ease. But her mood quickly turned sour as the subject of children came up.
Phoebe was so optimistic about having children in the future, but Prue wasn't. She hadn't thought about Peyton in a while, but now the reality was hitting her in the face. Phoebe was so excited that Prue almost wanted to tell her about Peyton. But she remembered Andy and she realized that demons would come after Peyton constantly if she was a part of our lives. "We live in a world with so much violence and then you add the evil demons and it's a pretty scary place to raise kids," she told Phoebe.
Before she even realized what she was saying, Prue added "Besides, I don't really think I'm cut out to be a mom."
The image of Peyton's smiling parents came across her mind and she realized the statement was true. She was never going to be like them with Peyton, let alone any other children.
"Do you have any children?" he asked.
Prue's instant reaction was "no."
And in a way, it was true. But something about saying that felt wrong.
Prue smiled, thinking about Peyton. Maybe she would like some of the toys they had found. Phoebe was surprised at her sudden attitude. Again, before she realized what she was saying, Prue told Phoebe, "And I realize that I do want kids. I think I'd make a great mom."
But that statement did feel right. She decided it was time to tell Phoebe and Piper about Peyton. "Hey Phoebe," she said, her voice quivering a little.
"Yes?"
"There's something I want to-"
That's when she remembered Andy; it was his secret too. "Prue, what's up?"
"Nevermind," said Prue. "I forgot what I was going to say..."
Phoebe grinned, "Well well well, Perfect Prue forgot what she was going to say. I'm so shocked."
Prue chuckled and nudged Phoebe.
