Chapter 8
Prom was the best thing Harry had ever heard of, really fabulous. Why had Hogwarts never had anything like it? Well the Yule ball was close he supposed but he didn't have his Sevy then. Now, finally, he had the chance to show him off!
Harry skipped down the hallway, terrifying most of the students he passed.
"What do you mean we can't go to prom!"
"Because its for the students not the staff?" replied a confused Will
"But why!?" Harrys whining drowned out Severus' muttered "thank god."
"Because it is? Why are you so upset about it anyway?"
"Because I thought I could finally get Sev into a suit!"
"Oh hell no!" roared Severus, almost tearing his newspaper in his anguish.
"But you'd look so hot in a suit." Pouted Harry
"No"
"Please"
"No"
"Pretty please?"
"The physical appearance of the please makes no difference"
"What about my physical appearance?"
"I highly doubt they will allow you to attend this event naked my dear. Still no."
"Oh come on! Please please please please pleeease!"
"Not happening Harry"
"I'll wear that thing you like."
"You can plead all you wa… wait which thing?"
"Which one do you think?
"The green one?"
"Once a Slytherin and all that"
"And all I have to do is spend a few hours at this ridiculous prom thing?"
"And wear a suit"
"And wear a suit, well my dear I think we have a deal." Severus' smile was positively sinful. "Now excuse me imp, it seems I have to convince someone to let us attend this nonsense."
Harrys grin lit up the room as he gave Sev a quick peck on the cheek before he departed.
Will was still frozen in his chair. He wasn't sure exactly what he had just witnessed but it had been deeply unsettling and forever burned into his brain. Whiskey was needed to fix this. Lots and lots of whiskey.
He wondered if Sue had any in her office?

On a completely random note, anyone else got their Captain Marvel tickets yet? I'm going to be sacrificing a Friday morning lecture to go to the midnight premier but that seems worth it :D
