Chapter 5
Abducted
Last to enter the chamber was Halsey. The black haired man peeked his head and looked around the hall, then and evil grin appeared on his face and quietly closed the wooden door.
The three men quietly surrounded the bed of the sleeping boy and Halsey quietly took out the mysterious pouch. The man opened the pouch, poured bit of the powder to his hand and approached the sleeping boy. He carefully parted the sleeping boys' lips and poured the powder in.
When the fist grains of the bitter tasting powder hit Estels' tongue, the stormy eyes opened in shock and he saw the men surrounding his bed. He wanted to cry out but, the large hand with the powder clasped his mouth shut and force-fed him the remaining powder. The other large hand held a small, but sharp dagger and it was coming closer.
"Try to make any sound and I will introduce you to my little friend here." The black haired man quietly hissed as Estel squirmed under his strong hand and tried to spit out the foul tasting powder. "Now swallow." The small boy stopped his squirming and looked at the dark gaze of the man leaning over him and obeyed the man.
Estel immediately felt the change. His vision started to swim and black spots were dancing in front if his eyes. The edges of his vision were greying out.
Halsey instantly took the unconscious boy, tied his arms with a rope and put him into a large sack. Then he transferred the sack to Garret. Walcott carefully peeked out of the door if there was no one around and motioned to the others. All the men silently left the chamber and crept along the silent hall to the main entrance of the Last homely house. At the south gate they met with already waiting Pierson and Weldon, who carefully hid the dead bodies of the guards, joined by the always happy blond giant, who did not suspect a thing.
To deceive the elves, and one member of their own, they headed to Giants valley in the south, careful not to disturb the giants living there, towards Eregion. At dawn they turned at Gwinrings back to the forests of Trollshaws.
Legolas and Luin came through the door of the Hall of fire the next morning happily chatting to each other and joining the ancient elves during breakfast. As they seated themselves, the great cat looked around the hall and found out that the strange travelers were not present.
"They already left Imladris early before dawn mellon nin." The raven haired elf lord said as he saw the searching gaze of the bluish snow leopard.
"They left already?" Legolas asked.
"Aye. They left for their journey home. They were so eager to see their families that they did not wanted to wait till sun dawn. And I could not keep them here if they did not wish it." The ancient elf said and shook his head.
"Are you sure they left?" Luin asked.
"I am sure Luin." Lord Elrond said and looked at the great feline. "Why do you ask mellon?"
"It is just that the whole hall where our chambers lay reeked of those men yesterday night and this morning. And I know that any kind of travelers, besides your family and close friends cannot go to that hall." The great cat said.
"Where is little Estel?"Legolas interrupted the discussion as he saw that the small edains' chair was empty.
"I let the little one sleep a little longer because he stayed up so long yesterday." Lord Elrond smiled at the elven prince.
Luin just remembered how the strange men were watching her little friend. As the serving elves brought her breakfast, which consisted of a cooked meat she stood up and headed to the exit, almost breaking them in the process as she busted through them with her wide front paws.
"Luin!" Legolas, lord Elrond and Glorfindel shouted and went after her.
The great feline in her frantic run knocked down many elves including lord Erestor and the Elrondion twins.
"Estel!" Her frantic half roar half pitched scream echoed through the halls. 'Why I did not realize this before.' The great cat blamed herself. Her instincts were warning her before. 'Why did not I listened to my instincts like I always do?' She pestered herself again and again in her mind.´
When the great cat busted through the door of Estels' chamber her nose was assaulted by the stench of those foreign men and she was horrified when she saw the bed empty. Soon after the great feline the elves entered the chamber wearing the same expression on all their faces.
Luin sniffed the air and growled in anger.
I am going to kill the men if they hurt the little one.
She wanted to leave the chamber when lord Elrond and Legolas stepped in her path, blocking the door.
"You cannot go alone penneth." The raven haired elven lord said.
The great cat looked in the stormy eyes, so many emotions coursed through her furry body. She was so afraid for the little edain. But those men took him lord Elrond. They took him! She almost cried.
"I know penneth, and we will get him back." He said reassuring the feline. "Let us just take our weapons and horses and we will go after them." Then he turned to his sons and golden haired advisor and nodded. The three elves turned and left the chamber in a hurry.
"Come mellon nin, we will get our weapons and we can go save Estel." Legolas said stroked the felines' cheek.
She looked at the small elf. "Okay." She nodded and left after the young elven prince followed by the ancient elven lord.
When the two elves and the bluish feline approached the stables, there were six horses already geared up by Ladrochen, Imladris stable-master, and waiting. A strong built white stallion, Asfaloth, Glorfindels' mighty steed, two brown steeds with black manes, tails and legs, one a mare with star on its forehead, Elen, Elladans' steed, the other one a stallion with a widening stripe, Neenuvar, Elrohirs' steed, two black mounts one of them was Nightmare and the other strong built stallion with long mane was Ilmen, which meant night, lord Elronds' steed. The last one was a chestnut colored mare with light chestnut mane and tail named Narwa, which meant fiery red for her fiery spirit, and it was lord Erestors' steed.
"Are you joining us mellon nin?" Lord Elrond asked his dark brown haired advisor.
"Aye I am coming with you, mellon nin, to save the little one. And nothing you say will not change my mind." The dark brown haired elf said with determination mounting his mare.
"I am not going to stop you mellon." Lord Elrond said to his friend with a smile. "Hannon le all of you." He added mounting his black stallion.
"We would always go save our brother, ada, you know that." Said the twins in unison from atop their steeds.
"And I would have to say the same as Erestor here. You know that, mellon." The balrog-slayer said.
"Estel is like a tithen gwador to me also so I would always go lord Elrond." The golden haired princeling said and smiled at the ancient elf.
"You do not have to ask me lord Elrond." The great snow leopard said.
All the elves, armed with longbows, swords, long knives and daggers, spurred their mighty steeds and headed to the south gate of Imladris. When they got nearer lord Elrond saw the turmoil at the gate, when the relieve guards go to their watch.
"My lord Elrond!" one of the relieve guards yelled.
"What is it?" the ancient elven lord asked as he halted his steed.
"We found Bailinn and Crisdúr slain and their bodies hidden in the nearby bushes, my Lord." The guard quickly said, which left the raven haired elf in shock.
Legolas, Luin, the twins, Glorfindel and Erestor looked at each other with worried expressions.
Luin took a few steps ahead of the speechless elven lord, sniffed the air and said. "Lets go we cannot linger now. Estel is somewhere out there in hands of those men!" And she looked to the forests of Trollshaws, let out an angry roar and took off after the scent trail left by the group of men.
