UPDATES IF I DON'T DIE FROM SCHOOL!

Aww yesssss…. Anyway, if you like what's going on be sure to let me know in the reviews!

Tears fell silently as she sat, curled up in the corner. How could this possibly suck any more at the moment? She was groped, humiliated and bullied by a trio of weirdos in skirts in front of her friends. Would they already know everything by the point she returned to the club room? What would they even say, anyways? They'd probably think she's an idiot and a slut for getting pregnant so young. They wouldn't have any idea that the father of her child was one of them, their emotionless "Shadow King".

Bringing Kyouya to the front of her mind, Tinashi began to worry about what he would say. Benio basically told the entire room that she was in love with the bespectacled boy. She grew nauseated as more tears fell and she stifled a low moan of anguish into her palm. Kyouya had said he wanted to love his wife but they both knew that was impossible. She was his mistake he was having to rectify. She was supposed to be nothing more than a means of release. She was a bought and paid for whore meant to be a substitute for his hand. There was no love possible for them, just a mutual understanding to keep things together and provide a good life for their child. She was an idiot, she decided. She just hoped that she wouldn't have to see the look of disgust in his eyes each time he looks at her.

"Tinashi?" Haruhi's voice brought the girl somewhat out of her wallow of misery, at least enough to lift her head to show her tear stained face. "Do you want to talk about it?"

"Do I want to? Not really, but I assume you want me to." Tinashi mumbled, wiping her face.

"Why does it upset you if they know you love him?" Haruhi asked, sitting beside her, placing her hand on Tinashi's shoulder.

"He doesn't feel the same way, Haruhi," Tina told her, her head falling back in her hands. "I don't want to deal with the guys asking about this and I don't want to deal with him after he finds out."

"He probably already knows. Kyouya senpai is a smart guy, and besides, wouldn't he have figured that out because you two have been dating?" Haruhi asked, confused by her friend's actions. This was a little melodramatic, even for Tinashi and she had about as much of a tendency to it as Tamaki did.

"It was all a mistake!" Tinashi told her, shaking her head. "It should have never happened and- I don't want to talk about it anymore." She stood shakily and went to wash her face. "I'm just going to go home and eat some chocolate and sleep."

Haruhi sighed before standing, shaking her head. She couldn't force Tinashi to see that she was overreacting. If she wanted to have a tantrum then Haruhi would leave her to have her tantrum. With that thought in mind, the brunette left, intent on getting her things and going home. It had been a long day and frankly she just wanted some sleep without having to deal with all the damn drama and problems the club tended to have.

"Well, that was weird," The twins spoke in perfect unison, confusion etched upon their faces. They looked at each other as if they were telepathically discussing their theories for what was going on. Before Kaoru could open his mouth to ask Hikaru a question out loud, Tamaki's voice caught their attention.

"I just don't understand why-"

"There is no need to understand why, there's only a need to determine how to stop it from happening again, Tamaki." Kyouya said flatly, rubbing his temples. He felt sick to his core, his mind replaying her departure. She never even once looked at him. 'I've been such a fool,' he thought bitterly, 'I should have known she would never even think about caring for me past the fact I'm the father of her child.' It hurt to know that his dream would be crushed but he wouldn't let her know that. He could be selfish if he wanted- deny her heart's wishes to gratify his own. He would have her in his arms every night, warming his bed. She would have his children and be… absolutely miserable. He couldn't do that to her; he wasn't that cruel.

Watching the pair, Hikaru's mouth fell into a flat line and he whispered to his brother, "That's pretty weird, too. Kyouya- senpai can be kind of an ass, that's nothing unusual, but not wanting to understand or gain knowledge about something-"

"That's downright bizzare." Kaoru finished for him.

Hikaru paused then looked at his twin, "This happens right after Lobelia talks their usual crap they pull from out of their asses-"

"-And after Tinashi leaves the room. Plus the fact that they haven't been fighting as of late-"

"You think they're-"

"-Together?" They spoke unison once more. To confirm their theory they watched the dark-haired boy sulk.

"If not together, then he definitely has feelings for her," Hikaru concluded.

"But maybe she doesn't have any for him and that's why he's upset?" Kaoru asked, looking back as Kyouya pulled out his phone, speaking into it. "But would that explain the fatigue, blood donation and-"

"Overall bitchiness?" Hikaru suggested, crossing his arm.

"I would have gone with irritability, but yeah. So you think she's…"

"Pregnant? I bet." Hikaru nodded, frowning. He glanced over as Kyouya repeated one word.

"Psuedocyesis?" His heart felt like it had stopped beating. Tinashi wasn't pregnant- well, at least not in the sense of carrying his child. She had the chemistry of being pregnant but no child in her womb. He knew he ought to feel relieved- he didn't have to deal with any of the harsh words from his father nor feel like he screwed up… But he wasn't relieved. He had begun to plan out their life together, even going as far as to look up things to do with his son… Now those plans were gone. He would never get to hold his baby, watch him grow, speak to him as he grew inside of the beautiful woman he had fallen for.

It was probably for the best, he reasoned. Tinashi would be free from the burden he had placed upon her- no longer would she be forced to believe she carried his reckless mistake, no longer would she be tied to him… Hell, she wouldn't even have to put up with him anymore! He swallowed hard and fisted his hand, placing it inside his pocket where his knuckles brushed against the small black box he was saving for that evening. He could always sell it, he reasoned morosely. He fought the urge to smile bitterly- it wasn't like she would ever love him back.

The twins swallowed hard, watching their friend finish conversing before hanging up. They knew about psuedocyesis- their mom had gone through it when they were young. Before they could cross to go to him he had excused himself and gone. Simultaneously, their hearts sank. They knew that the older boy had a reputation as being emotionless but they also knew that over the past few years they had seen the facade fade enough to show how vividly he felt things. With that in mind, the duo knew for certain that Kyouya was crushed.

"Should we go after him?" Kaoru asked in his raspy voice.

"No," Tamaki sighed as he watched the door despite knowing that his friend wasn't coming back, "Let him have his time to cool off." Tamaki turned to get his things but paused as he heard a knock on the door. He turned to see a blushing girl. "I'm sorry, Princess, but we're-"

"Actually I was sent by Chairman Suoh. He wants to see you," She told him, her voice strong despite her meek exterior. Without waiting, she left, leaving the twins and Tamaki to wonder what his father could possibly want.

"If you don't mind my asking...What could be so important that you sent someone to get me?" Tamaki asked, watching as his father stared out the window. As for himself he stood on the other side of the desk, his amethyst eyes trained on his father.

"Tamaki, there comes a time when a man must deliver his news as delicately as he would hand a beautiful woman a flower… But now is not the time for that." He turned to look at his son. "Your mother will be coming to Japan."

Tamaki's eyes widened and his jaw dropped. He slammed his hands on the desk and leaned in, angry that his father would be so cruel as to play this joke on him. "I know that isn't true and so do you! Grandmother has forbidden her from coming!" His heart clenched as he remembered the last time he had seen his mother- her smile bright but her eyes sad as she watched him leave through the gates at the airport.

"She doesn't know, Tamaki. This is a special circumstance-"

"I haven't seen her in years! Me, her son! What could possibly be so important to sneak her in when I am not?!" Tamaki snarled, tears pricking behind his eyes.

"It won't be just her coming, Tamaki. She contacted me this morning, explaining her brother was coming with her. You know your mother was adopted and a few months after you left she was contacted by her brother who was also adopted but to another family. She is coming to help her brother find his daughter who had gone missing a few months ago. They have reason to believe she came here." Yoshio kept a straight face. "She will be landing sometime tonight and will be disguised so that no one will know who she is. From there we will start asking police stations if they have seen her."

Tamaki swallowed and nodded, sitting down. Somewhere in the country was a cousin he never knew he had. It was enough to make his head spin, totally blocking all other thoughts from his mind. He barely registered the next thing his father said.

"One more thing, Tamaki. No one must know."

Tinashi laid on her futon, tears streaming down her face as she hit the number to replay the message on her phone again. Her chest hurt from sobbing, her throat raw from the wails she let out the first time she heard the message he left her. Still, some sick part of her enjoyed the pain she supposed because that would have to be the only reason she would keep replaying the voicemail Kyouya left her.

"Ms. Akuma, the doctor called today to confirm the test results were in. It would appear that you were not pregnant but rather had the symptoms due to a chemical imbalance. She predicts that you should resume your cycle sometime this week. We can now resume a professional relationship as the need for anything more has been alleviated. Good-bye."

After hearing the click of the recording ending, Tinashi dropped her phone and contorted her face, burying it in a pillow as she started a whole new round of tears. Her heart felt as though it had been ripped from her chest. She had loved her baby, loved the idea of her family and their future… Now it was gone. No, not gone. It was never a possibility. She would never get to spend another day with Kyouya, holding his hand and wondering what it would be like to wake up in his arms. She couldn't take seeing him anymore, couldn't pretend nothing ever happened like he wanted. She supposed what hurt the most was the way he had said 'good bye'. It was like he never held her, comforted her, placed his hand on her stomach and stared in wonder. She never mattered to him and it was made clear by the message he left her.

When the last teardrop fell, Tinashi sat up, staring at the door. She would withdraw from the school tomorrow but she was leaving tonight. With a bitter laugh she realized she was running from her problems again… Not like that wasn't a habit of hers. Maybe that's why Kyouya could never love her. She was a coward and a child, someone who overreacted to things and ran away from all of her problems. Maybe that was true but that wasn't going to stop her.

Kyouya sat on his floor, leaning against his bed as he stared at the phone. He had held himself together as he spoke on the phone, leaving the message for her. He had told himself it was for the best, that he was finally setting her free. He squeezed his eyes shut as he replayed his words through his head. Professional relationship… He told her that was what they'd have now, instead of how he wanted to do nothing but love her. Worst of all was the way he had ended it: 'good bye'. It was cold, harsh and spoke nothing about how he loved watching her sleep or how he thought it was cute that she would rub her tummy and hum to what they had both thought was their growing child.

For the first time in a long time, Kyouya tilted back his head and let a single tear roll down his cheek. The Shadow King was shattered.
