It has been... four years since I actually updated this story. And I am sorry. And it will need to be reworked one day. But today is not that day. Today is a day to put up a chapter and hope you guys forgive me for an extremely long hiatus.

Yuzuru looked up at his son in shock before he slowly looked at John. He spoke slowly, "The girl has been enrolled here at the school-"

"She's a member of the host club." Tamaki stared at them as he spoke calmly. "We last saw her today, actually. After another unfortunate visit from the Zuka club, Tinashi left upset." He looked aside for a brief moment. "We didn't think it smart to go after her. Her temper is the stuff of legends, after all, and she was pretty embarrassed." He then looked at them. "Maybe we could try calling her?"

Yuzuru shook his head as he watched his son interact with the couple before him. He had attempted to pull up the digital records of the girl only to be greeted with an error message. "I'm afraid she is on the run again. Her records have been deleted in our system. Such a thing has to be done through some sort of breach or through directly given access." He looked at the pair again.

John sighed as he moved to pinch the bridge of his nose, "I was afraid this would happen. My daughter is a brilliant young woman but she can react irrationally. I'm afraid she got that from me." He looked over as his wife put her hand on his arm.

"Do not blame yourself. You were both in the wrong that night," Rayne told him softly, her voice low but soothing. She looked to those gathered. "Tinashi has always been a wild spirit. I never wanted to see that spirit broken to conform. Perhaps that was my fault but it allowed her temper to flourish. She acted out at a charity dinner John and I were hosting, leading the them to get in an argument after dinner."

"An argument? I told her she was unfit to inherit a company responsible for millions of lives." John told them. "I chastised her for her immaturity, told her that unless she acted like an adult then she would never be treated as one. And because of that she would cause a lot of grief when she inherited the company. She just looked at me before she left. We never saw her again." John looked up as his sister murmured a quiet apology. He shook his head. "I could have handled it better."

"But you didn't," Tamaki pointed out, continuing on despite the shocked faces, " and there's no going back on that. But there is a chance to move on and repair your relationship. She has a temper, your temper I presume. If I may be so bold, it would seem she also has your tendency to be a glutton for shame. She also has a big heart and I am sure you know that as well. So, if we can reach out to her then she will come home." He then smiled some. "And I look forward to getting to know her as my cousin."

Yuzuru watched as John smiled slowly and clapped Tamaki on the shoulder, thanking him. He could not be more proud of his son for his candor, yes, but mostly for his compassion. He felt a fatherly pride swell in his chest and knew Tamaki's eventual succession to head of the Suoh family would lead them in a positive direction.

Tinashi stared at her reflection and felt more tears fall. Her long hair laid at her feet and in it's place was a sleek bob. She mourned her identity but she knew there was no going back. Just like her lengthy locks, her ties had been severed. She couldn't bear to return to where she had fucked up everything so royally again. She started towards the door of the room then, letting her body carry her out as her mind screamed to run from her problems. He was right. I am such a child. And a coward.

Still, Tinashi couldn't make herself return. She admitted freely that she was a coward but she didn't make a move to correct her ways. It was easier to simply run away because admitting she was wrong and dealing with her emotions. Emotions that left her feeling like she was being dragged down under the waves of the vast ocean of failure. If she stayed then she risked drowning in it all, the very thoughts of dealing with the repercussions… She hadn't even realized she was on the train until she felt herself knocked back from the momentum. Eyes turned slowly to her with a range varying from contempt to mild curiosity, causing her cheeks to burn with response, Tinashi ducked her head down while taking a seat. In the midst of businessmen and shoppers, the runaway stuck out like a sore thumb within her mind's eye. In reality, no one cared about her appearance and her fall was swept away in the stream of emails, Tweets, and other frivolous nonsense.

Indeed, despite her paranoia, no one was paying attention to the runaway American save for one man. He was on his way to work, his gray eyes staring at her with mild curiosity. He recognized the girl as the heiress to the Akuma fortune first then as a student at the school his brother attended second. She's running away. Perhaps this would warrant more investigating, even if only to indebt our competitor to us. He tried to tell himself it was solely for selfish reasons though his chest twinged at the sight. He knew his brother had often spoke of the girl. One occasion he heard Kyouya discuss the Akuma girl with their sister.

Akito pinched the bridge of his nose before he sent a quick text. Send my apologies to my replacement, but I won't be coming in today. Something has arisen that needs my attention.

What could be so important that you are disregarding your duty?

I believe I may have spotted a rather panicked and lost heiress to the Akuma family. Akito pocketted his phone as he looked back up then. As he watched her settle in for the journey he found himself growing more and more curious. "Who is Tinashi Akuma?" He pondered quietly as he stared at the reflection of the woman looking out the window. "And what will it take to reign her in from the edge?"
