The Look in Her Eyes, Chapter 13

Scene 1

In a quiet plaza outside of London a mysterious figure appeared from one of the conducting streets. He wore a leather black jacket with a Zero Haliburton suitcase. He was peacefully walking towards the benches under large tree when he suddenly realized there was a woman sitting on them, dressed with a nice blue coat and black pants.

"So we meet again under strange circumstances." Sebastian said as he stopped in front of her.

"What a pleasure." Carmen said in a low voice becoming him to sit down next to him.

Scene 2

"She is making her move. Lets go." Dustin said from a rooftop near a quiet plaza outside of London.

Several figures started going down the buildings stairs.

Scene 3 - *1 day ago*

"Hey Carmen, how was your hunting? Did it pleased you?" Dustin said getting out of the SUV he rode on.

"I always have fun. Then again my heart skipped more on this one than on others." Carmen said jokingly extending her hand. They greeted themselves and started walking away from their henchmen.

"So, I believe you have something that belongs to me? Sorry for being abrupt, I have a flight to catch." Dustin asked.

"I do."

Dustin looked pleased and he took out a cigarette and was about to light it up.

"But I have other plans for it." She said coldly.

Dustin paused but still lite his cigarette. Took a puff and exhaled it, started to laugh before lunging a slap to Carmen. She caught his wrist and turned him around. She pelted the back of his knees and he fell forward. She grabbed his tie and pulled it up. He was looked like an over turned C figure, with her standing over him kneeling and she pulling his tie up.

Dustin's henchmen started to react when Carmen's henchmen pulled guns on their heads. They put their hands up.

"You… can't… do this to me." Dustin had trouble talking.

"Of course I can. I had a feeling you had something else up your sleeve the moment you accepted my payment offer." She let go of his tie and he fell forward, gasping for air. He was about to get his gun out when he heard a click from behind his head. "Do you think I'm stupid? I didn't became who I am for being a fool." Carmen had his gun to his head. "Mass? Why him?... No matter. I don't like being betrayed. If you want your package go get it yourself."

She punched him out cold and started walking towards her henchmen, signaling them the meeting was over. Her henchmen followed suit and knocked Dustin's henchmen out cold too, and they left the scene with shiny new guns.

Scene 4

Kevin's eyes were heavy, but he could see a spill of sunlight from within slivers of wherever he was at. He could smell the faint aroma of sea and his stomach felt the nauseating effects.

'Where are we? Where are we going? Where are Zack and Ivy?' He tried to speak but couldn't, the drug still had its nasty grip on him.

Near him in another place Ivy came into consciousness, but the dizziness she felt made her unable to catch a hold on anything. She was crammed and could only muster a single word. "Zack… Zack…"

Zack heard his sister from a bit farther away. His mouth and limbs were numb and he could only breathe and feel.

All three fell asleep a bit afterwards in their dark and solitary quarters.

Scene 5

The plaza had a nice breeze and the temperature was quite nice.

"The world does go around." Sebastian exhaled, opening the small brief case and putting it next to him.

"It always comes back around." Carmen said placing the chip in the case.

"The code is: C in the House."

"Such awesomeness in one sentence." Carmen said.

Sarah was in Carmen's com and had no trouble piggyback on ACME's signal and using the code she entered the mainframe. Instantly she diverted the server's security and started searching for what Carmen really wanted, and using the Blue God search as a diversion. She also picked up some interesting documents along the way. Even those of a proposed applied Moonsoon.

"Juszt in caze." She snickered to herself.

The plaza's ambience was good to talk about books, but the old pals spent it talking about the hijinks that happened during their times that new detectives don't do.

"And it actually exploded with a ball of paint in the toilet. Hahahahaha" Sebastian laughed way too hard for his own good.

"Hahahaha" Carmen soon followed. "No way… hahahaha, no wonder we couldn't use the girls bathroom for a week. Hahahaha"

"For real, we were so good and so bad at the same time."

"No... that is not being bad, that is being assholes."

"Hey, I don't cus." Sebastian stopped his smile when he saw Carmen's stern face forward.

"What is it?" he asked.

"Shh." Carmen slowly started to arm her guns, as soon as Sebastian saw she went to her chest, he followed suit.

"Who is there?" Sebastian whispered.

"Dustin." As soon as she said that a bullet zoomed past her head. 'Nice shot' she though.

"Move out!" She yelled to Sebastian as she picked up the chip and left the scene.

Dustin and his men raced across the plaza shooting small guns at them. Sebastian took cover in the benches as Carmen returned fire and tried to hide behind the fountain. As soon as the first shots were fired Sebastian's and Carmen's teams started to move towards them.

"Friend of yours?" Sebastian joked returning shots.

"Guess Mass invited them."

"We have to get off the Plaza, give me the chip."

"Let's party like old times." Carmen loaded a new clip. "Do you remember how to do the Black Mamba move?"

"Hell yeah!" Sebastian took his other gun out and waited for Carmen's signal. Carmen threw a smoke bomb and Sebastian leaped into action. He got out from behind the bench and shot at the smoke bomb release its entire effect on the assailants. Carmen got out and started shooting and covering Sebastian as he approached guns a blazing towards them. Dodging and hitting the shooters with the back of his guns, until he caught up with Dustin. He pushed him down and blinded him with his own coat, leaving Dustin completely lost in an entanglement.

On the other side of the road Sebastian's men parked the car and he ran towards it. He turned back and started covering Carmen's escape towards her own getaway car. As soon as she was inside, he got in his. Both cars sped up and on the intersection, Carmen opened her window and Sebastian understood her move. He opened his window and Carmen threw the chip back to him, smiling.

They both closed their windows and sped away from the plaza.

"Everyzing is in the bagz." Was all Carmen heard Sarah said.

"Hahahaha!" Carmen started to laugh as she clapped her hands in triumph.

Scene 6

"They both… cough… got away, sir." One of Dustin's henchmen said.

"I know that." Said Dustin while hitting the man in the stomach. "That bitch will pay for this."

"That guy got the chip."

"Forget the chip." Dustin shouted. "I want more than the chip. Let's hunt."

Scene 7

"What happened back there?" Chief popped up in Sebastian's car.

"Dustin attacked us to get the chip."

"What?! How? Are you guys alright?"

"Yes, Carmen and I danced like the old times."

"Oh good. Good. And the chip?"

"I have it." Sebastian took it out of his pocket. "What about the tracking virus for Carmen's henchwoman, Sarah? Did it work?"

"No, impenetrable, however she didn't deviated from the Blue God project. Kind of strange, we expected her to."

"Hum," Sebastian muttered looking outside. "That is actually interesting."

Scene 8

"My part is done, I hope everything is in order?" Carmen was talking on the phone.

"Sent." Esteban said with a cigar in his mouth. "I'm glad we have such a great friend among the Elite."

"I'll call when the coast is clear. Dustin is at my ass."

"Nasty little dick. You know Marilyn can take care of him for you. She is an arms dealer."

"Then where is the fun for me in that." Carmen said hanging up.

Scene 9

Kevin's head bumped on something hard. His eyes were still heavy but he could stabilize himself. He was crouched and his muscles where sore, but he didn't felt nauseated anymore. The smell of the sea still lingered, along with the smell of diesel.

'How long have we been traveling? My back hurts so much… and I want to pee so much.' He bobbed in an out of consciousness trying to make things out, but it was too much for his brain.

Ivy on the other hand had a better understanding of what was going on. She awoke when she felt herself being lifted out of what she assumed was a boat. The crate she was in was small but some of the wooden planks had a nut where she could see something. She saw a crane and then some trucks. They loaded them in green trucks and she noticed only 3 crates where in the truck.

'Zack and Kevin must be in them.' She thought, but was too cautions to speak.

She was mustering her courage to cream to them when someone opened the truck and nailed an envelope on one of the crates. Slammed the doors and the truck started their travel.

She could hear people in the front seat discussing sports and she decided to wait it out. She started formulating a plan to escape, when she heard some news on the radio.

"'The London authorities said the shooting took place in the early hours of the night. Several bullet casings have been found all around the plaza. ACME detectives where in the scene surveying the place…'"

'So there was a confrontation between ACME and someone.' Ivy though. 'Hope it was Carmen, she deserves it."
