"What do you mean you've never seen this guy before?" Sara asked incredulously. "You call yourself Overwatch, aren't you supposed to know everyone?"

"I didn't say I didn't know him, I said I don't think it was him." Overwatch replied, her voice slightly distorted through the phone speaker.

"What does that mean?" Leonard demanded.

"It means, that this man is clearly Dr. Raymond Palmer, Representative of the United Nations, and yet, he was in Japan for a Global Warming conference when this happened."

"So, what, someone made a mask of him like one of those awful looking President Luthor Masks everyone wears on Halloween?" Leonard asked.

"No way, he was not wearing a mask, I'm sure of it." Sara replied. "That was his real face."

"How is that possible?" Leonard questioned.

"I don't know. Overwatch, does he have a twin maybe, a freaky similar cousin?" she was grasping at straws she knew, but she was desperate. She just wanted to know what had happened. She wanted to get this guy off their back, to put all of this behind them. That wasn't going to happen if they didn't find real answers and soon.

A knock on the door drew her out of her thoughts and she looked up at Leonard confused. "Were you expecting anyone?" she asked. He shook his head.

"Is everything alright?" Overwatch asked.

"Not sure, we'll call you back." Leonard told her, hanging up the phone.

Leonard was the first one to the door, flipping on the monitor for the outside security camera. "You've got to be kidding me?"

"Who is it?" Sara asked.

"Raymond Palmer." he replied, stepping aside so she could see the monitor.

Sara glared at the screen, backtracking to the hall closet where she pulled a stun gun out of a lockbox hidden in the back.

"Alright, open it." she told him, gun at the ready.

Leonard threw the door open, stepping out of the way so their guest could see the weapon. His hands went up immediately.

"Hi, please don't shoot me." Ray said. "I came here to explain."

Leonard gestured for him to come in, but Sara never put down the taser. When he was inside, Leonard shut the door behind him and cut off his retreat.

"Alright, Dr. Palmer, care to explain how you managed to be at that party at the same time witnesses have you fulfilling your duties to the UN in Japan." Leonard prompted.

"Wait, I work for the UN here, that's so cool." Ray gushed. Sara and Leonard shared a look of confusion. "So this is going to sound kind of weird, but I'm not from this earth."

"Your an alien?" Sara deadpanned.

"No, not like earth as a planet, earth as a dimension. See there are multiple dimensions all with the same people on them, living vastly different lives. My team came here because we needed the arctic diamond for a mission, but the one on our earth was destroyed years ago, so we needed to steal yours. Unfortunately our information is limited here because our ship needs time to acclimate to each new earth and we didn't have time to wait for her to gather information. We didn't know you would both be there, or that you were hired to steal it too."

"What about the fake one?"

"I was supposed to switch it out in the case, but things got a little dicey when we noticed you two, so I had to grab it and run."

Leonard and Sara shared another look, before turning back to him. "Can I just shoot him now?"

"I would really rather you didn't." Ray replied flinching as she raised the stun gun a little higher. Before she could fire, however, another knock sounded at the door. Leonard sighed, turning to look at the monitor again and froze.

"You've got to be fucking kidding me." he muttered as the comms crackled to life.

"You didn't think we would actually send him in there alone with it did you?" his own voice sounded over the comms. He turned to look at Sara, a perfect match for the woman standing next to his own doppelganger.

"Who is it, Len?" she asked him, already knowing the answer.

Carefully Leonard stepped back, opening the door and allowing their two new guests to enter.

"Hey guys, perfect timing." Ray greeted them.

The second Sara looked more annoyed than anything. "Can you please not shoot him, he's really heavy and we'd rather not have to carry him home."

The first Sara hesitated before slowly lowering the stun gun. "You have the diamond?" she asked.

The second Leonard pulled a small box from his parka and held it out of the first. "We'll stick around if you want to check to make sure it's the real one."

They did just that, leading the trio into the main loft. A few minutes later, they came back, confirming it was real.

"Alternate earths huh?" The first Leonard questioned as he followed them to the door.

The second hummed. "And I assure, it doesn't get any less weird."
