The Testament of Kiva
Testament 9: The Depths of Love and Hatred
"Let's begin." Takashi said before he raised his spear up and slams the bottom edge on the ground.
A magic circle appears under the spear and Mio then begins to channel her own magic into the seal.
Then a green aura surrounds Byakko, and soon the spear created and spread out a magic barrier all over the city, which also made the people in the city to disappear, preventing them from entering the space they are in.
Then Shiba teleports out of the space as well which was much to his surprised.
"Shiba-san?" Basara said surprised that he was forced out.
"I don't want him acting on a whim and interfering with our battle." Takashi told them with a smirk on his face.
"It appears you all have some issues of your own." Maria stated as she changes into her demon form.
After the barrier was done spreading out in a large enough portion of the city, Takashi pulls Byakko out and cuts down nearby lamp poles around him.
"Kivat!" Basara called out.
"Yosha! Kivatte ikuze!" Kivat flies around Basara who catches the bat and lets him bite on his other hand.
"GABUU!"
"Henshin!" Basara declared before he inserted Kivat into his belt and soon transformed into Kiva.
Then Kiva and Takashi jumps towards and attack each other, and Kiva clashed his forearm against Takashi's spear.
(Cue Break the Chain)
(Instrumental) As the song was playing, in the main room of Castle Doran Mio was sleeping on white bed wearing red dress while rose petals fall on her, then changes to Kiva walking through the hallways of Castle Doran. Then the scene changes Kiva picking up Mio in bridal carry. The tone changes then Kiva turns face to face at the screen. Then Kiva was flying upside down with his right leg armor open.
(Baku Baku beatin' heart! Kattobashite killin' it now!) Kiva on his motorcycle begins driving it fast on the street.
(Baki Baki beatin' heart! Kimi koso one and only) Then changes to Kiva sitting on throne in Castle Doran, The Arm Monsters in their human forms and Mio, Maria, and Yuki walking towards him. Changes back to Kiva flying upside down again.
(Kimi ga sekai ni sonzai shiteru, imi wo shiritakunai? {Baku baku beatin' heart!}) Maria and Yuki were in the kitchen papering for dinner, while Basara and Mio were setting the table, Kivat is seen flying in the screen singing.
(Baki Baki beatin' heart!) Basara, Mio, and Yuki are seated in their classroom, then changes Yahiro eating with Basara on the roof, while in that time eight Kivat's were singing on the top and bottom of the screen.
{Instrumental} (Soko ni kakurete temo! Nani mo hajimannai) Mio then remembers Zolgear killing her parents, and then changes to Basara with chains crawling under his skin, and then changes to Lars, Zest, Valga, and Zolgear together on a stair case. The scene changes to Basara as the chains speared out of him and restraining him.
(Tozasareteta DOA wo sono de kowase) Kiva was walking in a dark room, and then Kiva watches shattered stain glass was reforming making a window that shines on him beneath him is the shadow of the mirror. Then change back to Basara freeing himself from the chains.
(Me ni mienu fuan wo kazote tomaranaide) Basara held Kivat on his hand and let him bite him and then inserts him into his belt, and then changes into Kiva.
(Unmei no RUURU yabutteku) A child Basara was on his knees in a carter as was Brynhildr stab on the ground next to him.
(Me ni mienai tsunagari shinite ugoki dasou) Kiva on the throne of Castle Doran and near it is the Arm Monsters in human form, and then showed Mio hugging on the back of his neck, Yuki was hugging him on his arm, and Maria hugging on his leg.
(You got to change! Breakin' the chain! Tobashiteke ashita e) Kiva was readying his fist and shattered the stain window in pieces again, Kiva changes back to Basara.
(Don't be afraid! Walk in the stage, just GO! {Instrumental}) Kivat was flying near Kiva's raised right leg and the armor opens and freed the red wings. Kiva was now showed on top of Castle Doran and then jumps high in the air.
(Baku Baku Beatin' heart! Kimi koso one and only) Kivat fly's through the screen followed by Kiva doing his signature attack. Then changes into title of the story with Kiva's symbol.
While Kiva and Takashi were in even ground, Kiva grabs onto his spear with both of his hands and spins himself with Takashi around and pushed him to Mio and Maria, when Takashi landed on his feet he saw Kiva charging at Yuki and Kurumi.
"So that was his plan." Takashi said.
Maria punches on the floor of the bridge which made a shockwave, Takashi soon saw it coming and when it hit him, he stood his ground but still slightly pushed him back.
"Take this, too!" Mio said before she fires a fire spell at which hits by his feet and made a smoke cloud around him.
As Kiva was charging towards Nonaka sisters, Kurumi unleashed a tornado spell at Kiva which entraps him and sent him flying away off the bridge, before it collapsed from the damage it received.
Takashi gracefully landed on his feet, and Mio and Maria who was holding onto her landed safely on the ground as well.
Takashi smirks before he charges at the two, while Yuki stands back and watch.
Kiva had managed to get out of the tornado and soon saw he is now high above the city while free falling in the air towards it.
"I can't believe you'd go after Onee!" Kiva looks and saw Kurumi flying behind him while preparing another wind spell.
"Just how much do you, intend to make her suffer?!" Kurumi said as she fires another tornado at Kiva.
Kiva pulls out his Garulu Fuestle and inserted it into Kiva.
"GARULU SABER!"
Kiva transformed into Garulu form, and slashed the tornado with his Saber; he manages to cut away small parts of it but was soon entrapped by the rest of it.
Kiva soon saw that was heading faster to the city, and soon have an idea. Kiva spins in a reverse rotation of the tornado in a fast speed, and manage to break through the tornado he was trap in.
Kiva landed on the roof of one of the buildings, and soon turns around in time to saw another tornado coming at him, which he mange to block with his Saber.
"Hmm, so you weren't after Onee, you were actually angling to bring me into a one-on-one duel?" Kurumi said as she flies down towards Kiva but still flying above him, she then summons a magic seal in her hands. "You're underestimating me an awful lot."
Kiva then pulls out his Bashaa Fuestle and inserted it into Kiva.
"BASHAA MAGNUM!"
Kiva changes into his Bashaa form, and soon pointed his Magnum at Kurumi who fired a wind spell at him.
(Meanwhile with Shiba)
Shiba is seen seated on one of the rooftops outside of the barrier the others are in.
"Takashi worries about every little thing. Well, I guess I'll enjoy the show." Shiba said as he was still able to see inside the barrier, and he saw Mio and Maria leading Takashi into a mall. "So they're luring Takashi away and buying time until Basara returns, huh?"
(With Arc and Rey)
Arc and Rey were seeing the same as well, as they observe the battle.
"Most impressive, they manage to find a way to separate their opponents while giving their ally time to defeat his opponent, and probably after that they'll regroup with each other." Rey said sounding slightly impressed.
"But in the same time, it's still a basic strategy. And that won't win in a battle like this." Arc stated.
(Back inside the barrier)
Takashi smirks as he sets Byakko on his shoulder and soon walks inside the mall, slowly following Mio and Maria.
The inside of the mall was dark as its lights were off, but Takashi didn't faltered as he walks up the stairs on a floor that was filled with dressed manikins.
Takashi soon senses something heading towards him; he looks and saw that it was a manikin flying straight at him, which he manages to cut down into pieces.
"Are you trying to secure the western side?" Takashi asked.
Takashi soon saw another manikin flying at him, which he cuts down. Maria was seen heading straight at him for a kick, Takashi sees her in time to block her attack with his spear, but was sent flying and crashed on a nearby table.
"Now, let us keep this going!" Maria told him, as she flies to the Hero Clan member.
Takashi soon got back up and thrust his spear at Maria, she manages to dodge in time and punches at him, but Takashi dodges her punch by side stepping. Maria then kicks at Takashi which he manages to dodge, and counter by slashing at Maria's legs; Maria dodges his attack by jumping above it.
"Don't toy with me!" Takashi exclaimed, before he jumps and slightly reaches above Maria's height, and slashed his spear down at her; Maria blocks his attack with her forearms before their feet lands back on the floor.
"Too bad for you." Maria said, before she grabs onto Byakko.
Takashi grits his teeth as he tries to break his spear free.
"Thanks to Basara-san and Mio-sama, my tanks are all filled to the maximum." Maria said as she remembers Basara's and Mio's training session yesterday.
"Very well, then I'll simply revise my assessment of you." Takashi told the succubus, as he channels his aura around Byakko. "Howl, Byakko!"
Byakko then shines brightly and made a shockwave, which sent Maria flying and crashing through the ceiling above.
"Even if it can't attack the west, I can still use Byakko's power to attack at close range." Takashi told the succubus before he looks at the hole that was above him. "That was unfortunate for you."
"At close range, huh?" Takashi looks and saw Mio behind him, who had a blue magic circle between her hands. "Then how about this?!"
Mio made a bright light out of the magic circle in her hands, which made the pipes inside the building to break apart and spill out large amounts of water.
Takashi soon notices the building was beginning to shake around him.
"Nani?" Takashi gasped before he notices large amount of water swarming around him entrapping him inside.
(Back with Kiva)
Kiva is seen running and jumping down to rooftop to rooftop, as he did he fires with his Magnum at Kurumi which she manage to block with wind as she continues to follow behind him.
"Basara never learns, does he? It's fine to be kind. But if he's too greedy, he'll end up losing everything again. Just like five years ago." Shiba said as he watches Kiva's fight against Kurumi and notice that he was holding back against her.
As Kiva was running on a rooftop, he turns his head to see that Kurumi isn't letting up and have no intention to after seeing that smile on her face.
Kiva then saw a railing in front of him, and soon has an idea before he changes back into his default form and jumps on the railing, to jump above Kurumi, who was following him with her eyes, as she saw Kiva getting behind her.
Kiva then brought is hands together to make a one fist and slams it to Kurumi, which she manages to block with the wind around her.
"Striking me without any weapons? How long will you treat me like a kid?" Kurumi said before she sent Kiva flying onto the wall of the building and was soon crashed through the wall.
Kiva manages to sit back up, and soon got back on his feet before he lifts his head.
"You think the village will reconsider its decision if you show your strength and win without hurting us?" Kurumi asked as she flies into the hole of the building.
"Sorry…" Kiva mutters as he rolls his neck around and then his shoulder. "But I made my decision. I can't abandon a girl when people are after her life just because she's the previous Demon Lord's daughter. I'm going to protect her! But…Am I allowed, to have, only one thing precious to me? Must I limit myself to one?"
"Do as you please." Kurumi said before she fires a wind spell at Kiva.
Kiva stood his ground when it hits him, before he saw Kurumi casting another wind spell at him.
'No choice I have to use it!' Kiva thought before he drew out Brynhildr but when he did the green aura started to consume his arm.
'It's happening again…!' Kiva thought as he saw the wind spell coming at him. 'Don't worry about it right now! Just fight through the pain and focus what's in front of you!'
Kiva slashes the gust of wind, when he did it made a small slash shape gaping space in front of him, and the space was absorbing the wind spell, which had surprised Kurumi.
"You're using Banishing Shif-?" Kurumi started before Kiva says.
"Here I go!" Kiva said.
Kurumi jumps back and was going to use another wind spell, but it fell apart the moment it was in her hands as she was preparing it.
'He even eliminated my channel to the spirits?!' Kurumi concluded in shocked.
Kiva then slams his sword on the floor and in front of Kurumi's feet, which made a shockwave strong enough to send her flying out through the hole of the building and is now falling to the ground.
'Onee…I'm sorry.' Kurumi thought as she was falling before she closes her eyes. 'He's the one person I didn't want to let you fight.'
Kurumi opens her eyes, as she saw; she was caught by Kiva, carrying her in a bridal style.
"Y-You?!" Kurumi gasped in shocked.
Kiva then lands on his feet.
"My, this is an odd turn of events." Shiba said after seeing Kiva rescuing Kurumi.
Kiva then helps Kurumi stand on her feet as he let's go of her. Kurumi then saw that were top was slightly exposed which made covered her chest.
"No!" Kurumi cries out in embarrassment.
Kiva's cheeks blushed as he slightly looks away from Kurumi, Kurumi step back but when she did she trip on a slightly large rock on the ground where they landed, and Kiva caught her in time before she could fall to the ground, while in the same time hugging her close to him.
"H-Hey!" Kiva said. Kurumi slightly blushed being in this much contact with Kiva.
"B-Baka…That's what I mean by underestimating me!" Kurumi said before she manages to break free and turns around away from Kiva.
"Looks like you're fine, then." Kiva said with relief in his voice, which also made Kurumi to slightly turn her head at him, and soon remembers an important memory.
(Flashback)
A young Kurumi, along with Basara and Yuki were seen standing above a river to catch some fished. Kurumi is seen holding a live one in her hand.
"Look, I caught one!" Kurumi called out.
"Wow!" Yuki said being amazed.
"You did it, Kurumi!" Basara praised her.
(End of flashback)
"Basara…Onii-chan…" Kurumi mutters quietly.
"Yuki…" Kiva said which gotten Kurumi's attention.
"Huh?!" Kurumi blinked before she looks back at him.
Kurumi looks to where Kiva was looking at, and saw her sister in front of them. Yuki had a serious look on her face, before she summons and was going to draw her sword.
"No! Run!" Kurumi told Kiva.
Yuki fully drew her sword out.
"Please, hurry!" Kurumi kept telling him.
Yuki then charges at Kiva.
"Onee!" Yuki cries out as she comes closer.
Kiva didn't move as he stood there as she kept charging at him. When she was closed enough she grabs onto Kivat which slightly surprised him.
"Huh?" Kivat said, before Yuki manage to force him out of Kiva's belt with all her strength, which reverted Kiva into Basara and Yuki hits him on the head with the handle of her sword, sending him to the ground.
"Basara!" Kivat and Kurumi said in the same time before they went to check on him.
Basara opens one of his eyes as he looks at Yuki, and soon did Kivat and Kurumi.
"Yuki, why did you do that?" Kivat asked.
"I couldn't think of any other way." Yuki told them before she brought out a potion and opens it.
Yuki then brought the open potion in front of Basara's face, which soon releases a fragrance, when Basara smelled it, the substance had put Basara to sleep.
"Basara!" Kivat said in worried about his partner.
"Don't worry. It will only put him out for half a day. Take care of Basara for me." Yuki told them before she stands up.
"What are you going to do?" Kurumi asked, before she soon realizes what her older sister has planned. "Don't tell me?!"
Yuki then leaves them; Kivat and Kurumi have a pretty good idea where she was going.
"That girl…" Kivat said in frustration as he watches Kurumi leaving, before he looks back at Basara. "Basara you better wake up soon, or else Yuki might become a memory."
(With Mio and Maria)
Mio and Maria looks above the flooded floor, they have entrapped Takashi in.
"Maria, thanks to you, I got one off on him." Mio told her succubus servant and friend. "That should buy us some ti…" Mio then fallen on her knees in exhaustion.
"Mio-sama!" Maria said before she knelt down to Mio to check on her. "That is reckless! You cannot manipulate all the water in this building! Hurry and disengage the magic!"
Mio and Maria soon saw the water is beginning to swirl around which surprises them.
"This is…" Maria gasped.
The water that was filling the floor was beginning to leak out through the windows, until they finally burst out of them, and inside the water begins to fall towards the floor below.
Then finally the water was fully drained out of the floor, leaving an unharmed and dry Takashi with Byakko above him, which shock Mio and Maria.
"You got careless, Seiryuu, who is the guardian of the east and opposes Byakko, flies in the sky to protect the earth from the heavens! So, what do you think Byakko does?" Takashi asked before he pointed his spear at the two of them.
"No way…" Maria gasped as her eyes widen in realization.
"It can activate its power against the skies as well! Rip them apart, Byakko!" Takashi shouted as a green aura appears around his spear, and Byakko then made a growling sound as well, and soon a beam of light come out of the spear that pierces through to outside of the building.
Takashi was soon done with his attack as the beam diminished, and he then lowers Byakko.
"It's over." Takashi stated.
(With Shiba)
"I think it's a bit too early to celebrate." Shiba stated before he chuckles.
(With Arc and Rey)
"You shouldn't presume just yet, you should always check for your opponent's remains, to see if you done the deed." Arc stated.
(Back inside)
Takashi opens his eyes when he senses movement, which made him, looks around.
Maria carrying Mio in her arms, is seen jumping down from the building and onto the floor, they soon saw Takashi running to a large hole they have made to escape, and soon the two of them begins to run away.
Takashi clicks his tongue.
"So you manage to avoid that. However…!" Takashi soon follows behind them before he jumps through the hole and begins following Mio and Maria.
Mio and Maria had run a long distance on the streets of the city, but Takashi was still behind them and is getting closer bit by bit.
Mio casts a fire ball spell at Takashi, which he manages to cut down.
"Is that all!?" Takashi said before he jumps at Mio and Maria, and was almost close enough for an attack at them, but was pushed back by a strong gust of wind.
Mio and Maria stops running, and Takashi landed on his feet and on one hand, and they soon look and saw that it was Yuki with her sword in her hand, who had saved Mio and Maria.
"Yuki, what is the meaning of this? You're fully aware that I will show no mercy and cut down any who side with the demons, even if that happens to be you." Takashi told her before he stands back up.
"Do as you please." Yuki told him.
"What?! Are you saying you've forgotten the tragedy from five years ago?" Takashi asked.
"How could I forget? I never want to experience that again!" Yuki stated.
"Then why…" Takashi said.
"At this rate, we'll be repeating what happened five years ago." Yuki stated.
"Nani?!" Takashi said.
"So this time I'll protect him. That's why I become stronger! I will protect those Basara's trying to protect! If I don't, there's no meaning in being a hero." Yuki stated before she placed her other hand on her sword's handle and enters combat position.
"You idiot!" Takashi said.
"Withdraw your hand!" Yuki told him.
"Cease this!" Takashi exclaimed as he swings his spear and charges at Yuki.
"That idiot!" Mio said before she was going to run and help, but Maria stops as she got in her master's way.
"Mio-sama! Please don't!" Maria requested.
"I can't just leave Nonaka alone like this!" Mio told Maria, as she watches Yuki and Takashi fighting against each other.
"I will take care of this. You go to Basara-san!" Maria told her, which made Mio blinked in realization.
"That's right, if Nonaka's here, then…" Mio said.
"I do not believe he lost." Maria stated which gotten Mio's attention. "After all, she just said she would protect Basara-san. So Mio-sama, please go fetch him. It is a little sister's job to help her precious older brother!"
Mio nodded. Yuki dodges a thrust from Takashi which manage to cut off bits of her hair.
(Meanwhile with Basara)
Yuki is seen watching over Basara, with his head on her lap.
"Jeez, why am I doing this…" Yuki said.
"Don't ask me, you're the one who placed his head on your lap." Kivat stated as he watches over Basara as well.
When Kurumi was watching over Basara she notices something about his figure.
'Five years, huh? He has grown manly…' Kurumi thought as her cheeks turned red which Kivat had notices.
"Oh ho, Kurumi-chan~!" Kivat got her attention. "Are you falling for Basara's good looks?"
Kurumi's eyes slightly widen when he said that.
"I-I am not! You be quiet!" Kurumi exclaimed, before she was about to swat Kivat away, which he manage to dodge as he made a teasing chuckle.
"Everyone…" Basara mutters in his sleep, which made Kivat and Kurumi to look back at him. "I-I'm sorry…"
"Huh?" Kurumi blinked before she saw the tears falling out from his eyes.
"Basara…" Kivat said in pity for his partner.
"It's my fault…It's all…" Basara said.
"No way…" Kurumi mutters slowly realizing what he was thinking about. "You mean we weren't the only ones suffering?"
"Of course he was." Kivat said getting Kurumi's attention. "Even though he helps and saves people as Kiva, even to this day, a small part of him still blames himself for what happened to his friends."
Kurumi was left speechless before she looks back at Basara.
'Basara…Onii-chan…' Kurumi thought.
Kurumi continues to looks down at him, before she and Kivat heard something walking towards them and saw that it was Mio.
"Mio!" Kivat said in relief before he flies to her. "Are you alright?"
"I am, but Basara…" Mio said before she looks at Basara.
"What are you doing here?" Kurumi asked before she gently pushed Basara's head off her lap and soon stands up and face Mio.
"This is no time for me to be fighting against you, little girl." Mio told her.
"What…" Kurumi gasped, which made Kivat chuckle.
Mio then walks to her and to Basara.
"If I wanted to fight you, I would've blasted you with magic by now." Mio told her, before she knelt down to Basara and shakes him on his shoulders. "Basara, get up! Basara! Nonaka and Maria are fighting that Hayase guy!"
This gotten Kurumi's attention when she said that.
"You're the one who said the only way to stop this battle was for you to defeat Byakko!" Mio said.
"That's impossible." Kurumi said getting Mio's attention. "Onee used sleeping incense on him."
"Yeah and it was pretty strong stuff, I was trying to wake him for a while now, but he's still out as a light." Kivat said.
"Sleeping incense?" Mio said before she picks Basara up and shakes more roughly. "Basara! Wake up! Hey, wake up! Basara! Basara! Basara…"
"Mio…" Kivat mutters, before he made a serious face after being inspired by Mio's spirit, and turns to Basara. "Basara, wake up! Don't you hear your cute imoto's voice! Come on, you still have people that need your help! Yuki needs your help! Maria needs your help! Basara!"
"Basara!" Kivat and Mio shouted in the same time.
Inside of Basara's mind, a child version of himself is seen sitting while hugging his legs close, and he soon remembers his happy time playing with Takashi and the Nonaka sisters.
"Sorry…I'm sorry…" Basara then remembers that day he lose control of his power. "I…All of it…"
"Basara! Basara!" Basara looks up and saw Mio floating towards him. "Basara, I'm sorry for putting you through such hardships."
When she was close enough Mio hugs Basara closely.
"But please…Please hang in there a while longer…You've been protecting me all this time. So please…This time…" Mio said, before Basara looks up at her face.
"Mi…o?" Basara mutters.
"This time, protect Maria and Nonaka!" Mio requested.
"Protect…" Basara mutters.
"Basara!" Kivat and Mio call out.
Mio let's go of Basara before he pushed her away and moved to the surface.
"Yosha!" Basara looks and saw Kivat flying at his side. "It's about time you snap out of it!"
"Kivat…" Basara mutters, before he saw Kivat flying ahead of him.
"Kivatte ikuze!" Kivat called out as he made through the surface.
Then a familiar armored arm extended its hand to Basara. Basara soon saw that it was Kiva who was extending his hand to him.
"Come on, we still have work left to do!" Kiva told him.
'That's right…I…' Basara thought as he grabs onto Kiva's hand and the bat warrior pulls him out.
(In the real world)
'I…' Basara finally managed to open his eyes.
"Basara!" Mio and Kivat said in relief that he woke up.
"No way?!" Kurumi said in shock.
(Back with Yuki and Maria)
Takashi slams Byakko on the ground, which made a shockwave and it was heading straight at Yuki. Yuki was about to counter it, but was too late as the shockwave hit and sends her flying.
Takashi soon jumps at her, before Yuki lands on a platform and sends energy slashes at him.
"It's useless!" Takashi declared as he cuts the energy slashes down and soon cuts down the platform she was on into pieces.
As Yuki was in the air, Takashi jumps at her again and was going to slash her, before he saw Maria flying at him for a kick, which he manage to stop in time as he slams Byakko on her which had sends her away.
As Yuki lands on the feet and one hand, Maria crashes onto a wall.
Takashi lands in front of Yuki, who was breathing in and out.
'Basara was a victim of that tragedy, too.' Yuki thought before she stands back up and charges at Takashi and soon remembers the day Basara and Jin left the village and she watches them leave. 'And he was exiled from the village. He didn't betray us. It was us who betrayed him.'
Yuki was about to attack at Takashi, but Takashi swings Byakko which made a strong gust of wind that sends Yuki away and crashed onto a car, as Maria manage to sit back up and saw it happen.
Takashi soon charges at Yuki and was going to finished her off, Maria was about to stand back up and help, but soon stop moving as she closed her eyes, she then heard of metal clashing, which made the succubus to open her eyes and saw Kiva stopping Takashi's attack a few inches in front of Yuki's face with his hand grabbing onto Byakko's spear tip.
"K-Kisama…" Takashi growls as he glares at Kiva.
"Basara-san!" Maria said in relief seeing him here.
"You're here." Takashi said.
"You hurt Yuki." Kiva said.
"She sided with the demons. Naturally, that made her an enemy." Takashi stated.
"But she's your childhood friend!" Kiva told him.
"We're members of the hero clan. We put our duty to protect this world above all else!" Takashi told him.
"I understand." Kiva said, before he throws Takashi away by pushing Byakko away.
Takashi landed on his feet and pointed his spear at Kiva. Kiva was in his combat stance, before he lowers it.
"What are you trying?" Takashi asked before he smirks. "Changing your combat style? Doing that now won't help!"
Takashi thrust Byakko at Kiva, which he manage to dodge, Takashi kept attacking at him but Kiva is still dodging his attacks with ease.
'Not yet…' Kiva thought.
Kiva then grabs onto Byakko's handle with both his hands and kicks at Takashi, which he manage to block in time but was still pushed back, when Kiva let's go of his spear.
Kiva then pulls out his Garuru Fuestle and inserts it into Kivat.
"GARULU SABER!"
Kiva transformed into his Garulu form, and soon charges at Takashi.
"I see what's he doing now, he's putting Takashi on edge on purpose, in order to draw it out." Shiba said as he watches Kiva's fight against Takashi.
Kiva then slashes at Takashi multiple times in a fast speed, which he manage to block but was having a little trouble in keeping up.
'More…' Kiva thought as he kept up his attacks.
Takashi then steps back and run away, but Kiva still kept close to him, and soon the two clashes their weapons against each other as they run side by side.
Maria was helping Yuki walk with her arm on her shoulders, as they slowly follow Kiva and Takashi as they watch their battle.
Kiva and Takashi jumps away from each other.
Byakko was giving off a light around it, and was moving on its own, as Takashi grabs it with both of his hands.
"What's wrong, Byakko?" Takashi asked as he tries to keep the spear from moving.
"The spear?!" Maria said.
(With Arc and Rey)
"Oh, this is certainly a strange turn of events." Rey stated before he turns to Arc. "Don't you agree Arc?"
"Maybe, but let's see what's going to come next." Arc told him.
(With Shiba)
"It's about time. When Byakko faces danger, it activates its auto-defense." Shiba said out loud.
(Back with Kiva)
The light coming off from Byakko is becoming brighter and brighter.
Kiva then jumps at Takashi for another attack. Byakko then created a dome of slight around Takashi.
"Stop it, Byakko! We don't need to defend!" Takashi told his spear.
Just as Kiva was about to attack on the dome, Byakko then made a shockwave that sends Kiva and it's wielder Takashi away.
"A sacred guardian beast whose role is to protect its wielder won't listen to an order like that." Shiba said. "Takashi, it looks like it was too early for you to wield Byakko."
Kiva lands on his feet and saw Takashi landed on his back unconscious.
"Takashi!" Kiva said before and the others saw Byakko becoming a large pillar of light.
When it died down, Byakko was now in its true form of the white tiger before it soon roars.
"Byakko!" Kiva said.
Kurumi and Mio runs up to Maria and Yuki.
"Onee, are you alright?!" Kurumi asked, Yuki got off of Maria and grabs onto her sister's shoulders.
"What about you, Kurumi?" Yuki asked.
"What's that?" Mio asked, before the others look at Byakko.
"The spear is out of control, and its sealed power is revealing its true form." Yuki explains.
"Byakko's a guardian beast!" Kiva said getting the girls' attention. "So long as don't attack, it shouldn't do anything."
"But half of this barrier is built with Byakko's power. If we leave it be, the barrier might start to crack." Yuki said.
"If this started to happen in the middle of the street…" Mio said.
"There is one way." Kiva stated before he changes back into his default form. "But for that, I'll need to draw out his attack and break through his wind barrier at the same time."
"I'll handle that." Yuki volunteered as she steps in front of the others.
"But Onee…" Kurumi said which made Yuki looks at her telling her to let her handle it.
"I can do it." Yuki said before she summons and draw out her sword. "With my Sakuya."
"You can't in your condition." Kiva said.
"Please, trust me." Yuki requested.
Kiva then saw the look in his childhood friend's eyes and figures she won't back down.
"Alright but give me time to be ready." Kiva told her, Yuki nodded with a smile. Kiva then looks back at Byakko.
'In order for me to deal the finishing blow, I need to use Brynhildr…But…' Kiva thought before he looks at his hand and remembers the times he used Brynhildr whenever he became Kiva.
"What are you waiting for? If you're gonna use it then use it." Kivat told his partner, which made Kiva looks down at him.
"But Kivat if I used it, it will not only hurt me but it might hurt you as well." Kiva said.
"Huh! Have you forgotten who you're talking to?" Kivat asked. "I'm Kivat-bat the 3rd, of the Kivat Bat family, and more importantly I'm your partner. Whatever happens to you will happen to me, and the same will happen in reverse."
"Kivat…" Kiva mutters, before he soon realizes that he was right and knows that Kivat will accept the same risks he will take.
"Alright, then let's go partner!" Kiva said before he readies himself to summon Brynhildr.
"Yeah!" Kivat shouted.
Kiva soon summons Brynhildr, but when he did the green aura started to consume his arm and soon reaches over his forearm, as Kiva cries out in pain.
"Basara!" The girls shouted in worry.
Kiva fights through the pain as he placed his other hand on Brynhildr's hilt, and the same aura started to consume his other arm as well, before the aura reaches beneath his shoulders. Kiva then remembers the time when he lost control of his power before, but soon gets rid of the memory as he focuses on what's in front of him.
'No…! I won't lose control…I will control it I must there's too much at stake!' Kiva thought, as he blinks and when he did he soon found himself in a dark space.
"W-What is this?" Kiva wonders as he looks around the area, and when he did, he soon spotted a child in front of them, and soon walking to his side were many more one at a time.
Kiva recognizes them as his friends he had lost when he lost control of his power five years.
"You guys…" Kiva mutters before he looks down in shame and tightens his fist.
"I'm sorry…I really am…I know, no amount of apologies won't make up for what I did. But…" Kiva loosens his fist before he looks back up at the spirits of his deceased friends. "Right now I have people who are depending on me. I have no time to worry about the past, right now I want to focus on the present and heads towards the future. But I promise you all that no matter what, that I will never forget."
Then the spirits of his friends smile at Kiva, which surprises before they started to leave one by one.
"Thank you." Kiva said before light envelope the space.
Kiva was now back in reality, as he begins to roar and shout out really loudly before a pillar of green light come out and surrounded Kiva, which blinded some of their friends, while Shiba and Rey and Arc were surprised on what's going on, while inside the light Kiva begins to transform into a new form.
(Cue: Destiny's Play by Tetra-Fang)
Silver chains with a green aura around them wrapped around Kiva's arms and shoulders, shattering to reveal silver armor that was in a similar design of the small gauntlet Basara wears when he used Brynhildr, then silver chains wrapped around Kiva's chest before dispersing with a green burst leaving silver armor, and Kivat's eyes changed to a glowing green color, and Kiva's lens become a glowing green color as well, and then a large crescent moon shape metal piece appears behind Kiva floating behind him.
This is Kamen Rider Kiva – Brynhildr form.
When the light died down, the girls and the others outside of the barrier soon saw Kiva's new form with Brynhildr in his hand and while having a green aura around his body, which surprised them.
Kiva then looks at Yuki, who nodded to him.
'I can finally fight for Basara's sake.' Yuki thought as she readies her sword and channels a green aura around the blade. 'Those harsh, painful five years were all for this moment. Please, Sakuya.'
Byakko growls before it saw Yuki running towards it before she jumps towards the scared beast, and begins slashing on the wind barrier around the white tiger. The barrier tries to push Yuki back, but she still kept pushing forward as she cuts it down bit by bit, until she, finally and fully cuts the barrier down.
Byakko roars before it attacks Yuki with its fangs, and was going to hit before Kiva grabs onto her and blocks Byakko's attack with his sword, before he moves away from Byakko and sets Yuki to the ground.
"Thanks Yuki, now leave the rest to me." Kiva said before he turns back to Byakko and walks a few feet in front of scared beast. "Ready, Kivat?"
"Yeah of course!" Kivat answered.
Kiva then brought the hilt of his sword to Kivat and the bat bites onto it.
"BRYNHILDR BITE!"
Kiva then grabs Brynhildr with both of his hands before he readies the sword, and soon a large amount of aura surrounded the blade, and Kiva soon jumps above Byakko.
"Banishing Shift!" Kiva and Kivat said in the same time, before Kiva swings his sword down unleashing an energy wave at Byakko.
When the energy wave hit the white tiger, it sends the scared beast flying before it disappears.
Kiva lands on the ground, and then swings his sword upward to his shoulder and swings it down.
(End of song)
Takashi begins to wake up and soon saw that Byakko was now gone, and is turned into light particles, as the others watch the particles as well.
(With Shiba)
"It's over now." Shiba said before he brought out his phone and soon calls the village to report what has happened.
(Back in the barrier)
After defeating Byakko, Kiva had changed back into Basara, and was seen standing beside the others, looking at Takashi who was seated on the ground.
"Now, go ahead and kill me!" Takashi demanded.
"Will you stop that? We're childhood friends." Basara told him.
"Don't fool with me!" Takashi exclaimed before he looks back up at Basara. "Five years ago, how many of our childhood friends were among those you vaporized?"
Basara didn't answer, before Takashi stands up in front of him.
"Now, vaporize me, too! With that cursed skill!" Takashi demanded him. "It should be easy for you if you've stooped to siding with the Demon Lord's daughter!"
Mio then slaps on Takashi's face. Takashi placed his hand where she had slapped him before he looks to Mio.
"Do you really think you're the only ones going through hard times?! Don't be stupid! Do you think Basara could ever forget something that you all can't?!" Mio exclaimed at the Hero Clan member.
"M-Mio-sama, please calm down." Maria told her before she grabs hold of Mio's arm.
"This idiot deserves to get punched a few more times!" Mio stated before she shook off Maria's hold her, and soon get ready to Takashi a few more punches before Maria stops her by grabbing onto her. "Let me go! Let me go!"
"If you continue to go after Mio, I'll stop you every time." Basara told Takashi, which surprised Mio.
"Yeah, same with me as well!" Kivat nodded.
Basara then turns to Mio.
"I'll continue to bear my past and your hatred with me for the rest of my life." Basara told his step sister, that had surprised Maria and the Nonaka sisters.
Unknown to them is that Shiba walks behind the Nonaka sisters.
"It would appear everything's settled." Shiba said getting everyone's attention.
"No way! How did you get inside the barrier?" Kurumi asked in shock.
"Since Byakko was controlling half of it, once he lost it, well…But anyway, let's head back home." Shiba told them.
"What are you saying? We're not finished here." Takashi stated.
"Our mission was temporarily withdrawn." Shiba told him and the others.
"Nani?!" Takashi gasped.
"Are you serious, Shiba-san?" Basara asked.
"I made you all clean up after Takashi let Byakko go out of control. If we eliminated her with as little justification as we have now, then we're sure to become tainted." Shiba told him. "Badly enough, that it would affect our pacts with gods and spirits. I figure that's probably a bad thing."
"Bakana!" Takashi said.
"Did you not hear me, Takashi?" Shiba asked. "I said this is over."
Takashi gritted his teeth not wanting things to end like this, before Shiba fully opens his dark red eyes, and the way he was looking at them give everyone the chills.
Takashi lowers his head, having no choice but to obey his words. Shiba closes his eyes before he walks away a few feet, Takashi follows behind him.
"You two come, as well." Shiba ordered the Nonaka sisters. "We're all going home."
Basara walks between Shiba and the Nonaka sisters.
"Hold on, Shiba-san, Yuki's…" Basara started before Shiba said.
"I'd like to remain an observer until the end this time. So please don't move any farther." Shiba said before a green aura appears around him. "If you do…"
"You're threatening us?" Basara asked as he and Kivat got ready to transform into Kiva, before Yuki stops him.
"Basara, don't!" Yuki told him, which stop Basara as lets go of Kivat before the letter flies out of his hand.
"If Yuki-chan and the others don't return now, the situation will only get worse. Everyone will meet misfortune." Shiba told him, which made Basara and Kivat glare at him.
"Thank you, Basara. I'm glad we could meet again." Yuki told her childhood friend, which made the aura around Shiba to disappear.
Yuki and Kurumi walks behind Shiba and Takashi, before they walk forward ahead of the two sisters, as they were leaving he barrier around them had disappear, returning Basara, Mio, and Maria in her human form to the outside world, with people and cars driving down the streets.
(Meanwhile)
Looking above Basara, and his two step sisters, are none other than Arc and Rey on top of a building.
"Let's go Rey; we need to report this to Dark Decade." Arc said before he turns around and walks away.
"Okay," Rey said before he follows behind Arc. "I have to say, what we witness was quite the turn of events."
"I concur with that. Especially since Kiva had made a new form with that strange sword of his." Arc said before he a made an evil grin on his face. "But still it won't change the fact that he'll soon die by our hands."
"With you on that." Rey said with a evil grin as well, as the two of them disappears into the shadows.
