Chapter 47

"If I can stop one heart from breaking, I shall not live in vain;
If I can ease one life from the aching, I shall not live in vain."
~Emily Dickenson

Liv stood in front of the mirror examining her outfit, the rejects laid littered across the bed she shared with Happy. She didn't want to look too stiff or unapproachable but she also didn't want to look too casual. Liv wanted the women she was going to work with in Stockton to think of her as one of their friends and wearing clothes that they might not be able to afford was not going to do that. Everything she owned was wrong; she felt as if she had nothing to wear.

"What the fuck?" Liv jumped as she looked past her own reflection in the floor length mirror to Happy glaring at the bed in to doorway.

The mess of clothing strewn across the bed was driving him insane. How could one small woman make such a mess? And how the fuck did she have so much clothing?

Liv turned to face Happy, "I know what you're thinking and don't worry my ODC biker, I will put away my clothing. How does this look?" She asked as she made her way up to Happy and kissed his cheek before turning her attention to the clothing on the bed.

His irritation wavered as he watched Liv saunter away from him. Her black dress pants hugged her curves and ass tightly. "You look good baby." He smiled at Olivia. She was nervous, she had been for days, he hadn't seen her like that since she graduated. "I know how to alleviate your nerves." Happy smirked as he stepped towards her.

"Don't even Happy Lowman." Liv pointed at him as she backed away, "I will not be late for my first real day of work because you want to 'calm my nerves.' I think I can handle being pent up for the day." She was very matter of fact before turning her back to him and facing the mirror where she focused on pulling her hair up in a sleek ponytail.

"Are you sure you'll be able to handle being all pent up?" Happy asked quietly in Liv's ear before lightly biting it. He knew it would drive her nuts, he knew every inch of her body; what worked and what didn't. He was feeling selfish and wanted to keep Liv all to himself, it had been nice having her all to himself for a few weeks before she started her new job. They had been making up for the time that they had been apart during her school year.

Liv let out a soft sigh and her body went lax against Happy's. He had done his job, and done it well. "I can't be late." She said in barely a whisper, she conceded to him.

"I know. That's why you need to get going. Just remember I this…" Happy wrapped his arms around Liv's body and pulled her flush against him. He slipped his hand down the front of her pants and rubbed her lacy panties against her warm lips. A moan betrayed Olivia; Happy loved how responsive Liv was even after all this time. She was already wet and wanting. He knew that she would be thinking about him all day as he pulled his hand out of her pants and rebuttoned them. "How do you feel now?" He asked as he smoothed out her blouse.

Olivia's stress and anxiety about her new job was forgotten, it was then she realized what Happy was doing. She turned to face him, a gentle smile crossed her face. "Thank you." She whispered as she kissed him. "I love you." Happy knew how to make her feel better, he always had, ever since the day he saved her.

"You should really get going before I am unable to stop myself." Happy nuzzled Liv's neck. "I'll take care of your mess because if I don't, it's going to drive my fucking nuts all day."

Liv slipped on a pair of sensible black flats not knowing how long she would be on her feet throughout the day. "You know one day you are going to make somebody a very happy woman." Olivia smirked as she made her way out of the room.

Liv was at her last meeting of the day. Before it started she knew it was going to be different from the two prior meetings. She started it out the same as all the others, "Hello, my name is Olivia but please call me Liv. I am glad you could all make it today. I know that each one of you have a story and why you are here. I want you to know that I am here to help you, even in the most minor of ways. If you just need an ear to listen, I am here to do that and not to judge." She wondered if it sounded too rehearsed, she couldn't lie, she had recited it all the way to work. "I know you are probably thinking what does this girl know? She has never dealt with any trials in her life, and up until a few years ago, you would have been right. I would have had no right to sit here and talk to you, to tell you how to move forward."

Liv gazed around the circle they sat in; most of the women looked like they were in their 20s maybe early 30s with a spattering of women, who were old enough to be her mother. One woman caught her eye, she was a pale red head with speckling of freckles across the bridge of her nose. The woman had a black eye and a fat lip. Olivia's heart ached for her. Liv must have been staring for too long because the woman's green eyes caught hers and then quickly and shamefully looked away. Liv moved on.

"I want to share with you all a bit about myself. Up until a few years ago, I lived the same small town I grew up in. I still worked at the same job I had in high school, that is where my world changed. I met a man, who I fell madly in love with." That Olivia was not who she was any more. "He was good to me. He had his demons but I accepted them." Liv thought briefly of Juice before going on to tell the ladies her story as she had with the other groups. As she finished up she stated, "I have wished that death would take me. Shit, I prayed for it but as I healed I realized I was meant to do so much more; I was meant for something great."

Liv smiled politely. "Now that you know a bit about me, I would like to open up the floor for introduction. And please know that this room will always be a safe place for you to share with no judgement from anyone." She meant that as a warning to everyone she would not tolerate any form of discrimination from any of her clients towards their peers. "Also, if you do not feel like sharing today, please do not feel like you need to."

The rest of the group went well almost all the women talked and discussed their stories. Of course, like most of the other groups there were those who didn't want to share, they just gave their names and moved on. Liv's heart went out those women the most. Those were the ones she ached to help.

There was one woman, who hadn't shared anything, not even her name; the red head with the black eye. She just observed with quiet reverence. It made Olivia want to reach out to her more but one thing she had learned and found in herself that if pushed to share or if she felt cornered by someone it made her want to recede more inside of herself. So, Liv knew better than to push the woman; she would just have to wait for her to come to her.

"Well if nobody has anything else to share. I think we should wrap this meeting up for the night. It's been a pleasure getting to know each of you and I want to thank those of you, who were open enough to share. I also want to acknowledge those of you who didn't share, being here is brave, in its self; so please do not feel like you need to share. I want to challenge you all. Before coming back into tomorrow, I would like to think about one thing in your life that makes you the happiest and it would be great if you are willing to share with the rest of the group tomorrow. I hope you all have a safe and wonderful evening."

Liv stood up from her spot and made her way towards the back of the room where her desk sat. She couldn't wait to lose herself in Happy, this day had been stressful and he was her favorite stress reliever. He had been sending her dirty text messages all day, trying to rile her up. Happy had been successful, she wound up so tight, she was about to snap. Liv grabbed her phone from her bag and saw that Happy had sent her another text.

~ When are you going to be home woman? I can't wait to get you into bed and fuck you, until you can't stand.

Whoever told you, you weren't romantic was so wrong. You are so full of flowery words. Women love to be talked to like that! Liv smirked at her response to Happy's text.

Olivia turned to leave the room expecting to see it had cleared out but one person remained, the red head. Liv smiled as the woman made her way towards her.

"My name is Reed." The woman looked meekly at Liv. "I just wanted to thank you for holding this group and your honesty with us."

Liv was taken aback by gratitude that exuded from Reed. She has not been thanked by any of the other women in her groups, most of them just wanted to know what happened to the men, who had hurt Liv. She had an overwhelming urge to hug Reed, but refrained since she probably would have scared her. Olivia really needed to reign in her feelings. It was hard after living so long with Chase, he was always on feeling overload. God, she missed him.

"Um…You're welcome. I'm glad you were here Reed. I hope that you are able to come back tomorrow." Liv walked with Reed towards the door.

"Charlie works, so I will be here." The look on Reed's face was as if she realized she said something she shouldn't have and she flinched as if an outside force had slapped her.

Liv placed her hand on Reed's arm to comfort her. "Good. I am glad that we are going to get the chance to see each other again." And then Liv pulled a piece of scratch paper from her bag and against her better judgement, scribbled her number on in, then handed it to Reed. "Please let me know if you need anything. I mean it, any time night or day."

Reed nodded and grasped the paper close to her chest as if it was her life line. "Thank you, Liv."

"Hello, I'm home!" Liv said as she walked into the house. She placed her keys in the bowl by the door and made her way to the back of the house. Olivia expected Happy to attack her as soon as she made her way through the door but he didn't. "Hap?" She questioned as she walked into their bedroom. He wasn't there.

A frown passed across Liv's face, since when was Happy all talk and no action? Liv went to grab her phone out of her bag when she noticed lights in the backyard. She made her way back there and as she opened the door she was hit by the smell of burning wood. How had she not noticed it before? Happy was standing with his back to her, staring into the fire with a beer in his hand.

"Hey there, Killer." Liv wrapped her arms around him and breathed in his scent. It was instant relaxation and safety.

Happy turned to face Olivia. "God, took you long enough woman." He pulled her flush against him. "How was work?"

Liv shook her head, "I need this." She pulled the beer out of Happy's hand and took a long drink.

"Go ahead, help yourself." Happy mused.

"Oh, you know I will." Olivia handed him back an almost empty beer. "It was amazing by the way. I feel like I might really make a difference. I met a girl today Happy that I hope I can help. She has so much inside of her that he being crushed by the man she is with. She as so much to give to the world and its being snuffed out by this bastard."

Happy loved seeing how passionate Liv was about her job. She had really come into her own and become the woman she was meant to be. They had talked about how she always wanted to make a difference in the world but was afraid to before what happened to her when Marks and his men had her. Liv would have been stuck in Charlotteville until she was old and used up. If Juice had never walked into the diner that night, Liv probably would have settled and married a townie and had his children…living the mundane life she originally thought she was meant to have. Happy knew in the depth of his soul that Olivia Trager was meant to do something great with her life. And that wasn't just taming him, he would never admit it to any of his brothers but Liv had him wrapped around her little finger. (They already knew but didn't want to face Happy's wrath by bringing it up.)

"Glad you had a productive day. While I've been here slaving away." Happy teased.

Liv raised an eye brow, "Really? What did you do other than bombard my cell with dirty text messages?"

"Taming this beast is a lot of work." Happy took Olivia's hand and placed it on his crotch.

She squeezed his bulge gentle and smirked up at him. "So…are you going to make good on your promise?" Liv challenged.

Happy didn't say anything, he scooped Liv up and brought her to the other side of the fire pit where a blanket was laid out. Seriously, how has she missed that too? She was losing her ability of observation.

Hap set Liv down and started unbuttoned her pants, "I've been thinking about peeling you out of these pants since this morning."

"By all means." Liv took a step back allowing Happy more room to work his magic.

Olivia watched in giddy anticipation, she had been frustrated all day and had been thinking about was the moment she could lose herself in Happy. His warm hands slipped under her waistband, his hands were cool on her warm skin as he slid down her pants. He took his time as he ran his hand under top of her underwear. A quiet whimper of need escaped Liv's lips; Happy didn't let another one escape as he pulled her body flush to his and took possession of her mouth.

Liv could taste beer on his lips and as their tongues mingled. She needed Happy so badly. His touch made her burn with a hot desire as he slid his fingers inside of her. Liv moved her hips in rhythm with Happy. She leaned her head back and cried out softly. Olivia gazed up at Happy, who had a triumphant smile on his face. She pulled at his pants and successfully got them to fall to ground. Happy didn't miss a beat, as he stepped out of them. Liv smiled, he wasn't wearing underwear.

"Someone was confidant he was going to get laid tonight." Liv teased as she wrapped her hand around Happy's rock hard shaft.

Happy pumped his fingers harder in response and then stopped all together. "I don't need to." A sly, smirk crossed his face as he pulled out of her.

Olivia wasn't going to let it end, what he was doing made her crave him even more. "Oh, no you don't Happy Lowman." Liv pulled him so hard they tumbled to the ground. A surprised Happy landed on top of Liv. "Just where I want you." Liv's voice oozed with longing.

"And what exactly do you want from me, Olivia?" Happy hovered over Liv. "Tell me what you want from me."

What did Liv want from him? Did she want him to sweet and gentle with her or did she want him to fuck her into oblivion? The way Happy had the evening set up, she figured it would have been one of those sweet and gentle evenings but it wasn't what Liv wanted. She would go insane if Happy took his time with her tonight. She wanted it to be fast, hard and passionate.

"Fuck me, Hap." She dug her nails into his lower back and yanked him towards her aggressively.

He didn't have to be asked twice as he swiftly plunged himself into Liv. She matched Happy's pace, thrust for thrust. It was not long before she could feel warmth filling her; "harder…Hap…" He pushed harder and faster until Liv slipped into an orgasm. Her body tensed momentarily before she melted back into the blanket. Happy only lasted a few more thrusts before he came hard spilling his seed inside of Liv.

Everything about Happy's being overwhelmed Liv's senses. He was everywhere! Happy was her everything!

It had been a month since Olivia had started her job and things were getting easier for her and the ladies she worked with. Each of her groups had different dynamics and challenges she had to work through; no day was ever the same as the other. Liv had found that she always looked forward to her last group of the day, they had such vivacious spirit about them and were extremely supportive of each other. Many of the women had found kindred spirits in another and that is what Liv wanted for these women.

Liv had found herself drawn to Reed more and more; she felt the urgent need to get her out the situation she was in. Especially, when Reed came in with make-up caked on her face to try to cover her bruises. None of the women brought up the bruising, they didn't want her to pull away. Liv was sure that the support group was the only reason why Reed was still fighting. Olivia would hate to see that she lost her fight and had her ferocity extinguished.

Olivia had very little help from her work, when she asked about getting Reed out of her situation. Her boss said that Reed needed to come to them and ask them to get her out. So, until then their hands were tied. They were just there to support the women and offer them advice. But they were never allowed to blatantly tell them to leave their relationships. That was so hard for Liv to do, she wanted to scream it from the top of her lungs. Knowing that if she did, she would lose her job and any of the progress she had made with the women she counseled and mentored.

The ladies in Olivia's last group, greeted her as they made their way into the room. Reed hadn't been in for a few days and it worried Liv, she waited with anticipation for her to walk through the door…but she didn't, again. Liv let out a deep sigh and turned her attention to the rest of her group but couldn't push the nagging worry out of her mind.

"She wasn't there again." Liv said anxiously to Happy, when he handed her a beer.

Happy frowned. "Who?" He leaned up against the bar at Red Woody. He had no clue what Olivia was talking about. But whoever this "she" was; Liv looked very concerned about it.

Liv's brow puckered with an exasperated stare at Happy. Had he not been listening to her at all? Lyla was filming, so it made sense that his attention was elsewhere; he hadn't strayed since they got back together but he still enjoyed watching porn shoots. It didn't bother Olivia that he watched, as long as he came home to her. Plus, she was around when they were shooting and the shoots had just become a part of everyday life. They weren't really anything she paid attention to. But obviously Happy was enjoying the filming at that moment and not her.

"Reed. I'm sure that you have not heard one word that I have said in the last five minutes. I mean porn pussy is so much better than my company." Annoyance exuded from Liv's voice. She took a long drink from her beer and forcefully slammed her glass on the bar before storming off.

Happy let out a sigh and shook his head. "Liv!" He called after her, but it was too late she was out the door. Happy finished his beer in one drink before taking his and Liv's glasses and placing them into the sink.

"Trouble in paradise?" Chibs smirked as Happy started out of Red Woody.

Happy glared back at Chibs, he knew that he was mocking him. "What can I say, I was enjoying the pink sunshine. It's great that Liv has a job that she enjoys but she worries too much about these women who are doing nothing to help themselves other than to go and talk to my old lady about shit. It's enough to drive me fucking nuts."

"Good luck brother." Chibs slapped Happy's shoulder as he left.

A giant glass of wine and a shower is what Liv needed when she got home. She poured herself a glass of Riesling and took a long drink out of before making her way to the bathroom. She needed to scour away her day and her worried. Liv regretted leaving Red Woody the way she did, as soon as she walked out the door. She had brought her work home with her and she took her uneasiness out on Happy. Liv knew she owed him an apology as she stepped out of the shower.

The cool air outside of the bathroom made Liv shiver a bit as she made her way to the bedroom. Happy was pulling off his kutt and putting his gun into a drawer in his dresser. Liv stopped and tried to gauge his mood when he turned to look at her. Nothing about him gave of a sense of annoyance or anger. Liv closed the space between them and wrapped her arms around him.

"I'm so sorry Hap. I was wrong for taking out my frustration and anxiety out on you." Liv said into his chest.

A deep sigh passed through Happy as he smoothed down Liv's wet hair. He had been ready to apologize to Liv for paying more attention to the porn than her. "It's fine baby." He said. "Why don't we just go to bed and forget that it happened."

"I was hoping you would say something like that." Liv smiled up at him as she dropped her towel.

A ringing phone pierced Liv's dreams. "Happy…" she shoved him, "answer your phone." Sleep thick in her voice.

"Hmm." Happy fumbled with his phone, "it's not me."

Liv rolled over and grabbed her phone, it was three in the morning and it was a number she didn't recognize. "Hello?"

"Liv?" a female voice on the other side of the line asked. "It's Reed. I need your help."

A/N: Thank you all for your continued patience. I have finally got into the groove of motherhood, working full time and finding time to write again. I am really excited for the next few chapters here so hopefully I will have them out soon. I am also starting a new SOA story…which should be out soon.
Thank you for your support. And let me know what you think.
