Seychelles P.O.V.
I woke up from my nightmare that next morning in a soaked up puddle of my own sweat. Thank god that was only a dream. Maybe my self-conscious was thinking of what would it be if Arthur was nice. That would be a good thing in theory, but seeing it is a little scary. Those blue and pinkish eyes and that creepy smile. Well it was just a dream. Maybe I should forget about because Arthur will never be that way in a million years.
I looked over to Matthew's alarm clock that sat on top of a dark reddish wooden end table. Matthew likes red and white everywhere he goes. It's either that or leaving the air conditioner on to make it feel cold. The reason for this is that he doesn't want to be homesick when he travels. I think I have that too because when I moved in with Arthur I packed my pet fish, and asked if I could get a room that had an ocean theme to it. Okay now that I think about it I feel as though Matthew and I have a lot in common when it comes to traveling.
I look over to my right, and saw that Matthew was still sound asleep. I got up from my soaked up sweat puddle, but as I sat up I felt an unnerving feeling in my body. It felt as though I was under one of Arthur's spells, but this was not Arthur's this felt more evil and malicious than any of Arthur's.
I looked around the room to see if anything out of place. The room seemed like it was fine for the most part. Our bags sat in the corner of the room, untouched. Matthew's polar bear layed out at the end of the bed sleep.
"Are you okay, Victoria?" Matthew asked. I looked back and saw that Matthew had woken up from my movement.
"Oh, me?" I lied "Nothing. Nothing is wrong."
"Victoria," Matthew said with content in his eyes. "I'm your older brother. I know when you lying to me. Now what's is troubling you?"
"Nothing." I said in confidence. "Nothing at all."
Matthew sat up and stated at me, but before he could say something his cell phone started to ring. He pick up his phone, looked to see who it was, and answered it. Hopefully Matthew won't ask anymore question about this because I don't fully understand it myself.
As Matthew answered the phone and talked to the person on the other end, I scanned the room one last time. After hanging the phone, Matthew explained that Arthur had found something new in the case, and he wants us to come over to the mansion immediately. We both cleaned ourselves up, and head out of the apartment.
Before we left the apartment. I smelled an aroma of a sweet cupcake. Maybe I thought of a cupcake aroma because I was just hungry since we were skipping breakfast.
Matthew's apartment building was made out of red brick all around, but a painted beige color for the hallways to the apartment door. A black railing covered the edge of each end of the hallway and staircase. The fence around the parking lot was painted the same color as the railing, and across the street from the apartments there was a bus stop that was painted an ugly brown color.
As Matthew and I walked to his car I get another feeling in my body, but this is not the same feeling. It's more like someone is watching us. As Matthew locks the door I find the source of who is staring at us. Across the street from the apartments I spot a man that looked extremely like Matthew. The man had the same wavy blonde hair, but it was more longer than Matthew's. He wore a red plaid shirt, and black pants with dark sunglasses that covered his eyes. I could tell that the man stared straight at us through his dark sunglasses.
"Victoria," Matthew said. "Yes," I answered. I turned to Matthew and saw that his eyes were concentrated on me.
"Victoria, when you get into the car I want you to take a picture of the guy that's staring at us," he ordered.
Matthew handed me his phone, and headed down the stairs to his red four door car. I followed behind him as I thought to myself is that the other Matthew? If he is will he come and hurt Matthew? Or was that other Matthew planning something in the near future? We got into the red car and locked the door. I took out Matthew's phone and tried to take a picture of the man in the side view mirror. Even though I could take a better picture of the man, but I didn't want the man to chase after us if he is the real other Matthew. Matthew drove out of the apartment gate, and that's when this situation got scary. The man started to run after us.
"Matthew, the man is running after us," I panicked.
"Shit. Don't worry we will lose him when we get to the highway." Matthew replied.
"Maybe he wants the pictures I took."
"Maybe or Maybe he wants me instead."
I lookout the side view mirror, and sees that he has gotten faster as we got closer to the highway. "Victoria get the bag in the back." Matthew said. Grabbing the bag I pull to the front, and found that the bag was filled with masks. I hand one of the mask to Matthew, and got one for myself. As we got onto the highway the other Matthew gained more speed. As we got onto the highway the other Matthew gained more speed I put my mask on which made me look as if I was a girl from South Italy with light brown hair. Then I helped Matthew with his mask by helping him steer. Once we were a few miles on the highway, the other Matthew was getting more and more behind even though he was still running fast.
"Is that the guy you were searching for back at the apartment?" Matthew asked not taking his eyes off the road.
"No, that was a bad feeling," I answered vaguely.
"Was that feeling him?"
"I don't think so."
Why did I lie to him like that? There was no reason for me to do that. Maybe that feeling I have is that powerful, and I am in more danger than I think I am. Maybe I can tell him him with Arthur when we get to the mansion.
Looking at the side view mirror, I see a similar car to Matthew's get into our lane behind us. I could still see the other Matthew still running after us. "That is weird two other car are similar to mine, and we are all together." Matthew noticed. I looked around us, and saw another car in the lane next to us. Then I got an idea. "Matthew stay with these cars we might just lose that other Matthew." Matthew nodded. A few minutes passed and the car in the lane beside us move up and got into our lane in front. It was like I thought it would be. The game of find the die in the three cups was what I wanted to do with the other Matthew. Since we had our mask on it would be more harder for the other to guess who is the right one to follow. After a few seconds of falling into my trap, he stopping his running, and we drove away. "Okay, we are safe." I announced. "Good," Matthew nodded.
Once Matthew and I arrived at the mansion we took off our mask, and put them back into the bag. We are welcomed in by Arthur that rushed us inside. The mansion had a big chandelier that had a dim light for the morning light, and the wooden stairs that lead to the bedrooms had wooden glow to them in the morning light. They were like they polished recently. The chandelier, that was made from gold and held fire like light bulbs, sat up high in the center of the room and the stairs sat under them. Three rooms sat off to each slide of the room, two on the right and the other on the left. The one on the left was Arthur's study and the two rooms on the right were the kitchen that was connected to the dining room, and the other was the living room.
Arthur pushed us into his study, and closed the wooden sliding door behind us. Arthur's study consists of a big metal desk that held a white computer on top and a few drawers that sat underneath the desk. He had a big brown leather desk chair that sat with the metal desk by the big window. With that he had couple of chairs that sat on the other side. The other chairs on the other side were not the same as the desk chair, but they were more like grey office chairs.
"What is it?" I asked as I sat in one of the office chairs and Matthew sat in the other.
"Well, I think that there is more of the other us coming." Arthur began as his sat down in his chair. "But I don't know where they are coming from?"
Matthew and I exchanged looks, and Matthew gave a small nod of his head. I looked back at Arthur.
"There was another Matthew that chased us here."
"Was he still following you when got here?"
"No, we got lucky, and two other cars that was similar to mine got in front and back of us." Matthew explained. "Also we used masks that you gave me earlier and lost him."
"Good," Arthur replied. He opened his desk drawer, and took out a booklet and opened it on his desk. "Do you remember what he looked like?"
"Well I saw that his hair was longer than Matthew's, and he wore a red plaid shirt," I started to outline. "Also he wore dark sunglasses, so I couldn't see his eyes."
"He was smoking a cigarette," Matthew added.
Arthur wrote down all of our words as we said them into his booklet.
"Also I don't know if this counts, but I think I saw the other you. " I mumbled, but both Athur and Matthew could hear it.
"Is that why you were looking around the room this morning?" Matthew asked. I nodded to him and look back Arthur who look flabbergasted at my comment.
"But I think that what I saw or it was either a dream." I continued but a little bit louder this time.
Arthur's flabbergasted face changed to more concentrated look.
"Well, I will write it down just in case your dream was a reality." Arthur declared. I described everything in detail about the other Arthur from his creepy grin to his pinkish blond hair. I guess he really didn't expect his other self to appear anywhere because he wrote everything down. After I finished explaining, Arthur closed the booklet. He put his arms down on his desk and put his hands together.
"Last night Kiku's boss called Kiku was badly wounded on the way to see Feliciano." Arthur announced.
"How?" Matthew leaned in a little from the back of his chair.
"They don't know what happen it happen while he was in the bathroom, and the plane had a temporarily blackout while he was in there."
"Do you think that the other Kiku did this?" I asked
"It's highly possible, but we will not know until Kiku wakes up from his unconscious state."
I sat back in my chair, and gave a small nod.
'Wow this is getting serious the more time passes.' I thought. "This makes it two attacks and two sightings. Who will be next? Matthew? Arthur? Or will it be me? The thought of her makes me wonder. Will she be like the others that have been attacked or, will show herself to someone before me? Or even worse myself?
"I want for today to go to the hospital, and check on Kiku and Feliciano." Arthur stated. "Feliciano, hopefully, will wake up today maybe we can get some information from him."
"Do you think he is ready to talk about the attack this early?" Matthew concerned. "Because it just happen two days ago."
"Hopefully, but we can still check and see how he is doing."
"Do you want to drive over there?"
"Sure."
At the hospital we went to Kiku's room and found out that he was put in the same room as Feliciano. That was convenient for us and Ludwig who was in the room when we came in. Feliciano and Kiku were still unconscious. Feliciano had oxygen mask on which was not there when we were last here, and Kiku had the iv in his arm and was badged up around his stomach. I could see the redness of the blood that stained the badge, and knew that the doctors had to stop a lot of blood from coming out. Ludwig was sitting at the bed couch by the window. He was reading a German book when we came in.
"Hello," Arthur whispered. "How are they?"
"Feliciano woke up last night." Ludwig declared. Everyone stopped in their tracks when he said that.
"What happen?" Arthur replied.
"The doctors called it trauma, but it felt as though it was something more."
"Do you think it was Feli?"
"Yes and no. I was here the whole time, but I didn't see anything. His screaming felt as though he was here. He screamed out many times 'Feli, don't! Feli please don't stab me anymore! I am begging you please!'
Maybe it is trauma...
"Then he said this in the most demonic voice I have ever heard from him 'Ludwig will never help you because he and Alfred are next.'"
Maybe not…
Arthur looked straight at me. "Go out into the hallway." Arthur demanded handing me his phone. "Call Alfred, and ask if he made it to London yet."
I rushed out into the hallway, and bumped into a tall dark man that was carrying a bat.
"Sorry miss," he said as I looked up at him. "Oh, you look cute. Here is my number call me when you get lonely." The man handed me a piece of paper which had his number on it. I thanked him and he winked and smiled at me as he walked away.
I called Alfred after a few rings he answered.
"Hey," Alfred said.
"Hey, Alfred how long do you have on your flight?"
"About 10 more hours. My flight was delayed because of clearance." Alfred sighed. "I'll make it there about eight tonight. Why?"
"There is something else that happen in the case."
"Really what happen?"
"Feliciano started to talk in this demonic voice saying, 'Ludwig will never help you because he and Alfred are next."
"Oh please, don't worry about it I'm the hero. I can beat this other me."
I smiled at his comment. Alfred will always have the courage that I will never have, and I will always admire that in him.
"Okay stay safe and call me back when you land."
"All right, Captain."
"Okay," I smiled. "Bye."
"Bye, Victoria."
I pressed end on Arthur's phone, and turn around and went back into the hospital room. I saw that Arthur, Ludwig, and Matthew discussing something. Arthur looked way from the conversation to my direction since he hear the door open.
"What did Alfred say?" He asked.
"His flight was delayed, and he will be here in ten hours." I replied.
"Okay, we have decided that Matthew will stay here tonight, so that Ludwig will not be alone with two unconscious people. There might be a chance the other Ludwig will attack or kill Kiku or Feliciano. I think it will be a good idea to get both Matthew and your stuff from the apartment. After Feliciano and Kiku get out of the hospital they will be staying in the mansion, so that we will have a better eye on them."
I nodded in response. "I think that we should go in the daylight. One can look out and the other can get the bags."
Arthur agreed and as we started to leave the hospital room Ludwig call me back and handed me a bag that Kiku wanted to have. In the bag there was a couple of Detective Conan mangas. I told Ludwig to tell Kiku thank you if he gets up.
Arthur and I left the hospital, and went to Matthew's apartment. Arthur parked, and we both checked to see if there was any signs the other Matthew still around or anything else out of place. Arthur stood outside while I got my stuff and Matthew's. After I made a few trips to the car putting our stuff into it, we locked up and left for the mansion. I looked at the time in the car it was 2:30, it would be six more hours before Alfred gets here.
No P.O.V.
Alfred got off the plane and since it was dark out there was no reason get a rented car, so he called a cab. He get in the cab and told the driver the directions and thanked him. He took out his phone and called Arthur.
"Hey," Alfred said.
"Hello," Arthur replied
Alfred's cab stopped at a stoplight, and that was the only other source of light there was than the headlights of the cab.
"I made it here. I'm on my way-," Alfred stopped the light changed and the cab had been sitting for a while "the light is green."
"Be careful did Victoria tell you about the your next thing?"
"Yeah, but I'm not worried. I'm the hero."
"All right whatever."
Alfred notice that his driver has disappeared.
"Okay is it normal in your country for your cab driver to disappear?"
"No."
"Oh, okay let me see what is going on."
Arthur thought about it for a second to himself and thought this is a perfect trap for Alfred. Alfred will be too shortsighted in the thought of not thinking of this situation being a trap. The hero will be hit again by an attack that he will not see coming. It's Pearl Harbor and 9/11 all over again.
"Alfred, don't get out of the car!" Arthur exclaimed into the phone.
Victoria looked over to the Brit, and saw the worry in his face from the dining room. Arthur was ready for this. He packed a bag that had the Tardis on it that had all the things that he would need just for a situation like this. Victoria ran up stairs to Arthur's room and grab the bag and ran back to the dining room.
The sound over the phone was a car door opening and a bump that made a big clunk sound. The other end of the phone call bounced.
"Alfred! Alfred!" Arthur called out again and again, but Alfred never answered. "Damnit."
"Hello, Artie." a voice like Alfred came through the phone.
"Who the hell is this?"
"Who you think it is, Artie" the voice replied. "Is that cutie with you Artie? God how in the hell are you letting that go to waste? I would had that already. Tell her to call me if you find out that you're gay."
Arthur gave Victoria his keys, and she ran to his car which was in the garage with Matthew's red car.
"Shut up, asshole, what do you want with me?"
"Aw, asshole that's weak, why not you pick up the piece of shit of an ex-colony and along with his cab driver. Their heads are badly beaten in and oops I see blood coming from your ex-colony's head better come quickly." The voice said in a mockingly way.
Arthur ran out of the mansion door grabbing his coat and ran to the car that Victoria pulled out. Arthur and Victoria drove to the scene even though there was a storm coming.
