Oh my gosh, I am SOOOSOOSOOSO sorry for not updating in forever! Hopefully I will be able to update more frequently!

I do not and probably never will own the Teen Titans…

Garfield looked down at the purple haired girl who lay in his arms. He bit back tears of his own as he watched her struggle within herself.

"Rae," he whispered, gently moving a strand of hair out of her face. But, he was granted no answer, for the young girl had fallen into sleep's peaceful embrace. Gazing down at Raven, Garfield gave a slight smile, "You are so beautiful"

The sound of his voice caused Raven to stir in his arms, so Garfield made an effort not to make any more noise. Though, he soon realized that he could not just sit on Raven's porch step for forever. So, he put his arm underneath her legs and lifted her into his chest. He carried into her house and laid Raven on her bed. But as he was about to let go, Raven's arms tightened around his neck, and pulled him into her. "No, Gar, Stay."

Garfield looked around nervously and debated if he should take her up on that offer. It's not like they'd be doing anything… And he was getting pretty tired. Deciding that he didn't want to let her down when she woke up, Garfield slipped off his shoes and climbed into Raven's bed next to her. Garfield closed his eyes listening to the steady heartbeat of his partner.

He found himself falling more asleep with every breath he took. So many things were bouncing around in his head, but the last thing Garfield thought before he went under was, 'She called me Gar'.

Raven was unusually warm as she fluttered her eyes the next morning, she went to get up, but found she was entrapped by a strong embrace.

"What the—"she said, her voice raspy from her cries the previous night. She turned to see the culprit, Gar, and suddenly it all came back to her.

"Shit," she said not-so-quietly, causing the previously sleeping Gar, to come to an awakening.

Gar, like the girl next to him, also woke up in a confused state. He looked and saw Raven staring at him with wide eyes. He tilted his head in confusion, but all was cleared when Raven gestured to the tight grip that he held her in.

"Oh Sorry" he blushed.

Raven just nodded her head in response, and then headed to the bathroom. When she closed the door behind her, she sunk to the floor. She held her arms to her chest in attempt to slow her breathing.

Garfield was acting similarly, except instead of trying to stop an anxiety attack, Garfield was attempting not to smile too hard and keep his blush down to a minimum. Though the context of the situation was sucky, Gar couldn't help but be all giddy that he slept with Rae. Well not slept slept, but still technically slept. Gar blushed at his thoughts, thankful that Raven had gone to the bathroom.

She probably wasn't even thinking about last night that way, let alone him that way, so to even bother imagining what it would be like to wake up next to her every morning.

Raven looked at herself in the mirror and frowned. Her eyes were still puffy from crying and the bruises, though faded, stilled were quite visible. Raven sighed, knowing that she left all of her cover up in her bag. Which was in her room. The room that Gar was now occupying.

Gar…Gar

The nickname sounded so natural on her tongue she didn't know why she refused to say it when they had first met. Raven wanted to go out there and be a bitch, crush his dreams so he would never come back. So he would leave her alone to suffer in her own misery. But, she couldn't bring herself to do such a thing. The little green haired twerp had grown on her recently, and she couldn't help but hope for a good friendship between them. Or maybe something more a voice in her head snickered. Raven's cheeks reddened as she quickly dismissed the thought. Raven knew that her story wouldn't have a happy ending, and the last thing she wanted to do was drag the charismatic boy down with her. It was selfish, what she was doing, she knew that. To keep the boy at arm's length, not letting him get any closer. He already knew more about her than anyone—except for Victor.

"Rae, are you okay in there?" Gar shouted, knocking Raven out of her own head.

Hey Guys! I know its short but I just felt like if I didn't upload something the guilt would eat me alive…If you liked it: Review. If you hated it: Review. If you would like to scold me for not updating in forever: Review.
