Okay before you guys rip my head off, I can explain. Okay well maybe not. These months since I've updated have been a downward spiral. But hopefully things will start looking up and I'll update more and maybe even see this story out until the end. I feel so guilty leaving you guys hanging, but with honors and AP classes this school year I can't guarantee plentiful updates. So I'm putting a poll on my profile for you guys to vote for which of my stories you want me to focus on more.
I don't own the Teen Titans *or the line used from the show.
Raven slowly opened the bathroom door just enough to peek through. Staring right at her through the crack were Gar's deep emerald eyes. She gulped once before continuing out of the door and into her room. Raven avoided eye contact with the boy on her bed.
"Hey, sorry about last night, I guess I just needed to vent a bit," raven said, biting her lip.
"Don't apologize, I would come back over in a heartbeat. You think you're alone Raven, but you're not*,"
For the third time, Raven brought Gar into her arms, gripping him for dear life. She let only a few tears fall, cursing herself for being so weak these days. He's breaking down her walls and there's nothing she can do about it.
"WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON YOU LITTLE SLUT?!" Trigon screamed barging into the room, the vein on his forehead protruding.
"Nothing happened, father, Gar—Garfield was just leaving," Raven said, her voice trembling slightly. Garfield looked at Raven in apology, then began to walk out, but Trigon put his arm out.
"You think you can fuck my daughter under my own roof and think you can just WALK Out?" He seethed.
Boldly, Raven took her father's grip off of Gar, and sent him a pleading look, mouthing 'Go'. Gar looked defiant but didn't want to strain the relationship between Raven and her father even more so he decided to leave.
As he got into his car he checked his phone and saw six-teen missed calls and texts from Rita and Steve
Where are you? ~Rita
Sweetie please text me! ~Rita
Where the hell are you? ~Steve
You are in so much trouble. ~Steve
Great. Time to get back to reality, Gar knew that when he got home Steve would be pissed; Rita would be happy but disappointed. Hopefully at least Larry would have his back on this one. He knew Steve loved him; he was just a hard-ass. Steve believed that the only way for Garfield to be successful l was for him to grow up in a strict and firm environment. How else would he be able to run the family company when he was older? Rita was more understanding, she understood that Gar might not want to take over the business one day—she just hoped that by that the time that that day came Steve would be more open. She and Larry were the only ones that knew that Gar was taking a zoology course at school instead of the business course Steve had demanded he take. He just wouldn't get it. He would say that it was a childish dream and that Gar needed to grow up and realize that the world didn't run on dreams.
And that was the last thing Gar needed to hear right now. Especially after the lecture on responsibility he was about to get. He took a deep breath as he pulled into the driveway. Standing on the porch with a stern look on his face and arms crossed, was Steve. He opened the door slightly and shouted something Gar couldn't quite understand. About three seconds later Rita came running out, and gave Gar a big hug. She pulled back and stood next to Steve.
"Well, where were you. Since you didn't have the decency to respond to any of our texts, scaring your mother and I half to death"
Okay he said "your mother and I" he wasn't too mad. Also he admitted to being at least a little worried.
"I got a text from a friend last night—it was an emergency," Gar said trying not to betray Rae's trust.
"Was it that girl?"
"Her name's Raven," Gar defended
"She seems like trouble. I don't want you to hang around her. She will distract you from your studies."
"You don't even know her!" Gar said, annoyed that Steve had the nerve to tell him he could or couldn't hang out with.
"Steve, honey, Garfield does have a point. We should have her for dinner." Rita interjected
"I don't know about that—" Gar started, but Steve interrupted him.
"If you don't want us to meet her than she must be trouble!" Steve concluded.
"It's not that I just—fine I'll invite her over at school tomorrow." Gar gave in.
Garfield began to walk inside, but Steve stopped him , holding his hand out.
"Keys," he said simply. Gar looked at him in confusion. "You're grounded."
