Wow Who would have thought that I'd update...again? (i certainly didn't)

Raven's body was still tingling from the trace of Garfield's lips. She hadn't spoken since he had told her to take of the sweatshirt, and she wasn't sure if she ever would again. Every time she thought words might come out, she was left with silence. She knew she should be panicking, Garfield had seen her bruises, after all. But, being in his arms, she couldn't help but feel calm.

Gar on the other hand, was anything but calm. He was seething. Who could have done this to his Raven? Somewhere in the back of his mind he knew the answer, but he just didn't want to believe it. He looked down at the girl in his arms. Her eyes closed, lashes wet from tears. He hoped she wouldn't hate him for this. He hoped she wouldn't push him away now that he was beginning to uncover to truth. But, as he looked at the way she had her arms clutched tightly around his neck, he knew that she had become a part of him, and him of her.

No one else had ever made her feel this safe, and Raven didn't think she could ever let that go.

"Rae, we're here," Gar set her down for a moment, to open the door, helped her get inside, then took his place beside her. Before Gar began to drive, he leaned over to Raven and kissed the now sleeping girl's forehead, "it's going to be okay," he whispered, "it has to be."

Garfield had almost forgotten the reason they were leaving in the first place. He had hoped the situation hadn't worsened in the time that it took them to get to the car. Rita seemed more concerned than angry when she had called him, but who knows how she'll be feeling when they get back to his house.

"Gar,"

"Yea, Rae?" When he glanced over to her, he noticed her smiling in her sleep and Gar couldn't help but smile himself. He wondered what would come out of today. Would they become a

couple? Was he supposed to ask her on a date? He knew their relationship was changed, but what that meant he wasn't really sure. Part of him knew that Raven wouldn't want to make a big deal out of it, no grand declarations of love, or anything like that. He knew that she would be perfectly comfortable never talking about it, and just to integrate these new parts of their relationship into their everyday lives.

But not knowing if he could call her his girlfriend would drive Gar crazy. He needed some sort of affirmation, despite today's events, that she wanted to be with him. He needed to know that she wasn't just going to disappear.

When they were just about to Gar's house, he gently shook Raven's arm to wake her up. "We're just about back to my house," Gar wondered if he should have told her who was going to be there. She looked so peaceful he didnt want to stress her out.

Raven wouldn't have to wait long of course, because as they drove down Gar's street she saw him standing in the driveway: her father.

Trigon was standing in the doorway, and in spite of them being in a car, Gar and Rae could still hear him shouting curses at Steve and Rita

"What is my father doing at your house," Raven very quickly went into panic mode.

"I'm not sure," Garfield said, "Rita just sad that he came there demanding to know why you weren't in school."

"Fuck fuck fuck," Raven said, and just after Gar put the car in park, she pulled him to her and said, "I swear to god if you tell anyone about what you saw today, I can guarantee that you'll never see me again." Raven didn't sound threatening in the slightest, no, she sounded scared.

Trigon marched over to the car, and as gar got out, pushed the boy to the ground.

"I could sue you for kidnapping, How Dare You fucking take my Are-Daughter. You can't JuST FUck MY ARE-daughtER and GET away With IT. YOu will Pay for this shit!," he screamed, causing Steve to come to his son's aid.

"Dad-" Raven bit her tongue, she knew what would calm her father down, but she knew it would mean the end for her and Gar, he would never be able to look at her the same again. "Trigon, please don't hurt the boy." Raven tried her best to sound like her mother, soft yet firm. SHe put her arms around her father's shoulders.

Gar looked up at her, confused, he could see the pain in her eyes as she spoke.

"Come on, let's just go home," Raven was trying and failing to hold back tears at this point, but it seemed her plan was working.

"You know I love only you," As Raven said this, she was not looking at Trigon, she was looking at Gar. "We have to go now Tri, we have to go." Raven knew using her mom's old nickname would work, as Trigon began to nod, put his arm around Raven's waist (in a very not paternal way, Garfield might add) and led her to his car.

Gar wanted to stop them, to stop Raven from going with him, but Steve held him back.

"Did you see that?" Gar began to grow very angry "Did you see the way he had his arm around her waist?! How could you let him take her?!"

Steve was taken aback with his son's agressions, "He is her father, Garfield, there's nothing I could have done.'

"He's abusing her!" Even as Gar said those words that he could never take back, Raven's warning played over in his head.

"That is a very serious accusation," Steve said, not wanting to jump to conclusions.

"She looked scared for her life, dad, we have to get her away from him." Tears were flowing down Gar's face at this point, in both anger at Trigon and fear for Raven's life. He knew she'd be furious with him for telling his father, but he couldn't knowingly let anything bad happen to her.

Steve believed his son. He too saw the fear in Raven's eyes, the way she flinched when he put his arm around her waist. But, he also knew how truly dangerous Trigon Roth really was. He knew that they wouldn't be able to handle this in the conventional manner

"First, son, I need you to calm down. It won't do Raven any good for you to be too worked up. Second, I need you to tell me everything you know about their situation."

And that's what Gar did. He told steve every last thing he knew, from the day Trigon threw him out of her house, Slade being responsible for raven showing up on their doorstep that night, to the bruises he saw today.

"Gar, this is what I need you to do," Steve began, "I need you to text Raven saying that you'll give her a ride to school tomorrow. But the second she is in that car you take her directly to the hospital. I will handle the rest."

The second that trigon had shut the door to the car, he drove off, only to pull back over a few blocks down. He quickly unbuttoned his pants, revealing his throbbing erection. Raven was still crying at this point, but tried to keep herself together to not upset her father further.

He then took her in the back seat of the car.

When they arrived back to their house, Raven noticed the text from Gar. She wondered why he would want to be anywhere near her after what he just saw. But, before she could respond to the text, Trigon dragged her upstairs to his room.

He fumbled through his side drawer until he pulled out her mother's wedding ring, super glue, and a sewing kit.

The next morning, even without the reply from Raven, Gar sat in his car on the end of her street, waiting for Raven to come out.

After an hour, he began to worry that Raven might never come out. The longer he waited, the more worried he became that something terrible may have happened to Raven. Gar pulled out his phone and sent Raven a quick text.

Rae,

If you do not come out in 5 minutes, I will come inside to get you.
