Family Reunion and Optimus's Choice
A few days have passed since the party and the Nemesis has been at ease from then on. Starscream took Son's advice to spark and changed his attitude towards the soldiers and the commanding officers, some were freaked out at first but they soon realized that their residential human female had probably something to do with his change of space so they gave him a change again.
Breakdown and Dreadwing shared some training sessions with the Vehicons to improve their battle skills. Sometimes Megatron would come in and challenge some of the groups in a brawl, though he would make sure not to injure them too much.
Knockout didn't go out that much for his evening drives like he used to instead he would be seen with either Starscream or Soundwave. Helping either one of them with experiments or decoding any relic's locations. Normally Ravage and Lazerbeak would not go anywhere near the vain medic, but they seemed to like it when they both got a good wax job, Soundwave didn't see the point really but his deploys sure liked the treatment so he didn't mention anything about it.
The biggest surprise was Megatron; he was a lot calmer than usual and didn't lose his temper too often. Normally he would find the time to beat up Starscream but that wasn't even the case, not that anyone mind the situation. They even went near him without any fear, and he left it at that. Though they did find him with Son around the Nemesis now and then in a certain lip-locked position, the only one who had the gall to interrupt them was Soundwave and he would tease them about it later. Son didn't mind she would join him and tease Megatron about it further, who in turn would just huff or, dare anyone say pout about his predicament.
Like they are doing right now…
Son was trying to hold her giggles when Megatron glared, while Starscream and Dreadwing were looking amused at the situation. Son just remarked Megatron couldn't bring himself to be angry at her for longer than a mere Earth minute, though right now Megatron was trying to. Megatron just huffed and decided to tease her by ignoring her, he was looking at the screen ignoring her giggles and the amused sphere around the bridge, Son noticed and decided to change her tactics a bit.
"Are you ignoring me Megs?" she asked innocently crossing her arms and raising an eyebrow.
Megatron just continued with his "reading" on the monitors and hummed mockingly, Son's mouth just hung opened and she huffed before smirking deviously and walked at the edge. She could feel that others were looking on as well and that Megatron was keeping his optics on her.
"Alright than if that's the way you want to play it" she said suddenly and then jumped, the others their sparked stopped for a moment and made movement to rush to her, but before they even could move Megatron was quick and grabbed her before she flew midway.
"ARE YOU OUT OF YOUR PROCESSOR?" Megatron suddenly yelled, bringing her at optic level. All she did was smirk innocently at him and stuck her tongue out.
Megatron just blinked and raised an optic ridge still wanting an explanation; Son just giggled "You started it Megs and two can play at that game"
"So you just jump off of the consoles like that?! What if you got hurt?" he asked her a little upset she would do such a thing and looked at her with worried optics, now Son felt bad she did it in the first place.
She leaned her head on his thumb and said "That's not going to happen Megs"
"Owh?" he said curiously "And why would that not happen?"
She looked up and gestured for him to bring her closer to his face. "Because my overprotective and wonderful mech-friend won't allow it"
She smirked at him and kissed his lip-plates, Megatron just smiled and leaned into the kiss returning it. The entire scene was just adorable and Soundwave was recording every second of it. Suddenly there was a flash and a click all optics went to the direction it came from and saw Knockout with a visualizer taking pictures of the Megatron and Sonam.
"Yeah that's it, work it baby. Gimme some more of that action" he yelled out to them and smirked deviously at the scene. Breakdown was behind him with a device that looks like it was recording things. Megatron just huffed and glared at them for interrupting them, Son was looking amused knowing this might come back to haunt them both later.
"Knockout explain carefully what you are doing?" Megatron asked him in a bored tone.
"Well my Liege since you and Sonam are an official couple on the Nemesis, besides Breakdown and me, I thought you'd like to have some memories of your times together. You know to show the little ones in the future" Knockout explained, winking at the last part.
Breakdown kept recording the entire situation; he zoomed in at the couple and saw they were both blushing with shocked faces. He would have laughed at their embarrassment if Megatron's face suddenly didn't change from embarrassment to irritating.
Megatron was about to say something when he suddenly heard a sight and looked at his girlfriend in his hands, she had a dreamy look on her face and was glowing for some part. He suddenly pictured her in her Cybertronian form holding the most precious cargo smiling at him. The thought made him smile softly and looked dreamingly at her; she looked up at him again and knew he was thinking the same thing.
Everyone else thought Megatron and Son would let Knockout have it when he explained himself, but seeing Megatron smile like that was unheard of, if Breakdown and Soundwave weren't recording it no one would have believed them.
Knockout looked at them with glee and took a picture "That's certainly was a keeper"
Son smiled a little embarrassed again hiding her face in her hands, but Megatron wasn't having any of it, he put her on the console again and activated his holoform in a miniature version of him and captured her in an intensive lip-lock. Son moaned into the kiss, wrapping her arms around Megatron's neck, while he wrapped his around her waist. Their little moment didn't last long the alarms suddenly blared and everyone went to their stations, Megatron held onto Sonam for a while before deactivating his holoform and putting her on his shoulder.
"What is happening?" he asked one of the Vehicons who was typing something and a few seconds later the image on his screen was shown on the main screen. On it was a Decepticon vessel and it was heading right towards the ship in light speed. Megatron's optics widen and grabbed Son in the palms of his hand and cupped her closed in them.
"Everyone brace yourselves and prepare for impact!" he yelled out to everyone, who all listened to him and held onto something or someone. Starscream and Dreadwing held onto the edges of the door, Soundwave just stood still, the Vehicons were either holding onto each other or the console ridges. Before anyone knew it the vessel struck the upper deck of the ship and a loud explosion could be heard. Son covered her ears from the noise and whimpered a little, she suddenly felt something rub against her back; she looked and saw that it was one of Megatron's digits. It did help keep her calm, when the shaking was all over, she tried to struggle out of Megatron's grasp, but he stood up making it clear he wanted her near him. Son didn't complain about it, but she still was concern for everyone else.
"Is everyone okay?" she asked and looked around hearing some grunts and groans, some still had the decency to reply that they were fine. She was about to ask Megatron if he knew that ship but the look on his face made her rethink the question, apparently he knew who could drive such a vessel. He ran outside and to Son's surprise Soundwave was running alongside him at the same space, now she could only guess that there was a possibility their new arrival could be who she thought it might be.
When they all reached the outside deck, the vessel was for some part on fire some of the Eradicons were trying to put it out. Breakdown and Dreadwing went near the vessel and tried to get it to open, they succeeded by a bit and out came a servo and dot in the background.
"Ugh….ugh…hurry it up I have precious cargo in here" the mech inside yelled out.
Both mechs tried their best with the hud, suddenly they got help from Soundwave who ripped it apart with ease scaring both mechs for a while. But what caught them by surprise was the mech inside, it turned out to be the mech everyone thought to be offline. Breakdown was first to get out his surprise and held out a servo to him, but instead two pods were shoved in his faceplates causing him to stumble a bit. Soundwave used his tentacles to help Shockwave out, who surprisingly was struggling to get back in, Son looked a little more careful from her spot when she sensed the reason why, in the corner of the vessel was a small aura. Concentrating more she saw it belonged to Ratbat and it looked like it was scared from the impact of the landing and the fire covering the vessel. She jumped off of Megatron's shoulder and landed on the edge of the vessel and looked around when she spotted the little guy. Megatron and the other Decepticons watched in surprise when she jumped in.
Inside Son carefully went to Ratbat, who was too scared to move and was shivering and whimpering the entire time. She started to hum a soft note to try and calm it down and miraculously it worked. She closed the distance between her and Ratbat and held out her hand to him.
"Hey there little guy, don't be scared I'm here to help you." But Ratbat didn't butch so she tried something else.
"I'll bet you'll be happy to see Soundwave, Lazerbeak and Ravage again. Why don't we both get out of here and I'll bring you to them sounds like an idea?" holding out her hand for him again.
Ratbat perked up at the names and could feel a calming aura from the strange creature in front of him; he chirped happily and went towards her. Son quickly picked him up and secured him on her back. She then jumped as high as she could and headed on out of there.
Megatron was about to run to get her out, but then he stopped when he saw her jump out on her own and with Ratbat secured on her back. Son landed safely on the ground and run as fast as she could away from the vessel with the other Decepticons right behind her, they all went inside and closed the doors when they all heard a loud explosion coming from the other side.
"Phew, that was close any longer we would have been fried out there" Son proclaimed, she knelt to the ground and allowed Ratbat off of her back. She smiled at him and couldn't help but think he was just the cutest little thin.
"You were so brave Ratbat, I'd bet Soundwave would be proud of you" she exclaimed to him, earning a soft chirp again as Ratbat began to nuzzle her cheeks. The other Decepticons noticed how Ratbat interacted with her, no one except for Soundwave, Shockwave or any of Soundwave's deploys or sons were able to near the little guy. Though this didn't surprise them at all, when she would be able to accomplish the impossible.
Megatron was annoyed she would pull herself into danger once again in order to safe another, just what was wrong with her. "Doesn't she know how much I care for her?" he thought sadly.
Son noticed Megatron's look and knew she would be having a talk with him again soon, but right now she needed to get to Soundwave. Soundwave to everyone's surprise was holding on to Shockwave for dare live. Knockout had just arrive with Starscream right next to him, who was shocked to see Shockwave right there and alive as well. He swallowed the lump in his throat; he was going to be in for it now. Knockout went straight to Shockwave checking him for injuries; Son ran towards him and lifted Ratbat towards Soundwave.
"Look who's here Ratbat, it's someone who's been dying to meet you" she told the little guy happily. When Ratbat set his optics on Soundwave and vice versa, he immediately jumped out of the girls arms and flapped happily towards him. Soundwave opened his servos and allowed Ratbat to land on them, he nuzzled his little deploy and made some humming sounds.
Shockwave watched at the exchange between his mate and the youngest of their family, he quickly noticed the human who had gotten Ratbat out of the vessel and knelt down to her. He'd never seen such a creature before and was curious to what else they were capable of.
"My Lord this creature has safe the live of Soundwave's youngest deploy, is she a pet of yours as well a native of this planet?" Shockwave asked who earned a dirty look from just about everyone on the ship.
Son laughed nervously "Hehehe, you must be Shockwave Soundwave's mate correct? Hehehe actually I'm a Decepticon like you Shockers and Megatron is currently courting me"
Shockwave's one optic widen at that and immediately understood why the others were angry at him "I apologize I did not realize a was in front of her ladyship"
He bowed respectfully to her and Megatron, who in turn told him to rise and put a servo on his shoulder.
"Welcome back Shockwave, we were told that you had perished during one of Spacebridge malfunctions on Cybertron" he quickly gazed at Starscream who lowered his head.
Shockwave quickly followed Megatron's gaze and lunged at Starscream, who shielded himself as best as he could. However no blow was given as some of the Eradicons and Vehicons had positioned themselves between the commanding officers with Sonam in front.
"Shockwave calm down, Starscream has changed over the past few days. Give him a change to explain and apologies to you, isn't that right Starscream?" Son said and turned around looking at the Seeker with hopeful eyes.
Starscream looked at her and remembered what she had told him. He gathered himself and knelt in front of Shockwave after everyone separated themselves from the two. Every other Decepticon on the ship was surprise at this and wondered what was going to happen now.
"It is true I have given false information about your demise Shockwave, at the time I always wanted to be the one to please Megatron. However you were always one step ahead of me and I grew jealous and bitter towards you and your mate Soundwave" he looked up and didn't talk for a moment looking at every mech in the area with mournful optics.
He then bowed his head towards Son and looked at her, who smiled reassuringly to him and motioned for him to continue.
"But I now realize that if I am to be respected as a Commander, I must first earn it and therefore I am sorry for the pain and misery I have caused you and your family" he looked at everyone else on the ship and bowed his head to them "To you all I apologies too, never once have I thanked you for your hard work and determination even when Megatron was not there at times. I should have been more of a Commander"
Son went to Starscream and put her hand on his servo looking with a proud feature on her face. Everyone else was speechless at first, but realize that Starscream was not lying this time and really has changed. Shockwave on the other hand was not having any of it.
"You take me for a fool Starscream? I will have to teach you a lesson on making up lies myself" he was about to strike him when his servo was stopped by Soundwave's.
"Soundwave what are you doing, don't tell me you actually are going to consider believing him?" Shockwave asked his mate, who in turn went to stand next to Starscream and lifted him up.
"I have seen him changed over the past human days since his return; Sonam has that effect on us since she has been here. It would be wise not attack our soldiers and fellow Commanders not when our true enemies are still out there along with a new threat" Soundwave said, shocking everyone else.
No one has heard Soundwave's voice until today. All except for Megatron and Shockwave have only heard him speak, but he would never say a thing when others were present. Shockwave was stunned that Soundwave of all mechs would side with Starscream, but he would just have to see for himself just how much Starscream has changed.
"Now since that has been settled with, Soundwave I relieve you of duty for the rest of the day. Perhaps you would like to reacquaint with your family?" Megatron suddenly said to which everyone gave a surprised look on their face but didn't comment on that.
The new couple left the scene along with some of the Vehicons who had return to their post, Son went to Megatron who bent down and lifted her up. He then transformed with her inside him and blasted off, leaving some stunned Decepticons behind.
"Wonder what their up to? Should we follow?" Knockout grinned at Breakdown not really expecting an answer and just went towards the space bridge to wait for Megatron to land somewhere. Breakdown just sighted and followed his sparkmate to the control room, knowing Knockout he'll get himself killed.
Meanwhile with Megatron and Sonam
Son was a little tensed because Megatron hasn't said a word to her since they left. Suddenly she felt him going down a little and transformed with her secured in his servo. Once she saw the view in front of her she was speechless, in front of her was a beautiful pond, with a small waterfall and between the rocks were the most stunning orchid flowers she'd ever seen. She looked up at Megatron who looked down at her with a soft smile plastered on his face, but then looked up.
"Why do you always do that?" he asked her. Son knew what he was talking about, she looked at the scenery again and sighted.
"It's just the way I am Megatron. Despite what your past may have been I just want to give you all what you were denied so long ago" she answered him. Megatron stared at her and wondered what she meant.
"Our right to life equally?" he asked her wondering if that was it. Son just smiled and shook her head.
"No, compassion dearest" she answered him. "And we both know Optimus is trying hard to show you it to, do not deny that. Tell me have you ever thought of the good old days, when you both fought for freedom?" she carefully asked him.
"I have….but that is all in the past now, perhaps Prime will try and make amends with me. But the other Autobots will have a difficult time doing the same as he would want…as he would hope to be" he answered her, not wanting to deny anything he wish to rather bottle up inside like he used to.
"But tell me, I wish to know a little more about your past and about MECH?" he suddenly asked.
Son knew this would come up sooner or later and she didn't want to hide anything from them anymore. What either didn't that they were being watched by Knockout and Breakdown, who both turned on their communications frequencies to the Nemesis.
"Well what happened is, the leader of MECH known as Silas was an friend and comrade of my mother. She used to be a top agent for the BlackOps and was well respected amongst many. I wanted to be just like her, she even cleared it with the higher ups for me to be near her at all times. I was only ten at the time and didn't mind the soldiers there treated me like family and they were like one for me, but then Silas attacked our base one day and betrayed us all. He wanted me for some reason, I didn't understand and still don't. my mother along with others fought them off while an agent named Fowler took me away from the scene. I have never been so scared in my life before, a few days later the news came that MECH had fled the scene but not before everyone was dead, of course I didn't believe a word of it cause there were no bodies found. But the government claimed she was dead along with the others. Megatron I cried till I couldn't feel anything in my body anymore, for years I have swallowed the pain hoping that one day she would turn up again and call me by my pet name and I could just hide beneath her bosoms again" Son told him, while tears were leaking from her eyes.
Megatron was quiet the entire time and rubbed her back to comfort her. Clearly he didn't know what to do in a situation like this. Both Knockout and Breakdown were silently crying, while everyone else on the Nemesis was feeling nothing but pity for the girl and anger towards the humans who betrayed her.
Before Son could say something again they both heard a familiar click of a gun behind them, turning around they came face to face with someone Son would never have ever wanted to see again.
"Well isn't this an unexpected surprise…but a good one as well" Silas leader of a terrorist group called MECH said. While some of his soldiers were readying their weapons towards them.
Son's eyes widened and began to water out of shock as the memories of her horrible past began to resurface. Megatron held a protective servo towards Son, when he saw how that human looked at her.
"What's the matter Sonam, aren't you going to greet me hello?" he mocked her. Son was shaking like a leaf, and wanted to hide deeper within Megatron's servo away from the scare faced man. Silas noticed this and signaled for one of them to shoot the servo away making her come in view again.
Megatron grunted a little from the electrical shock coursing through his servo's system, but he could care less about that now. He held his weapon towards the others but was shot again on the chest plates, when he looked up he saw that the leader was advancing towards Sonam. Poor girl in turn was taking steps backwards to keep her distance between the man and herself, all the while crying.
"I was afraid I wouldn't be able to ever find, but here you are and might I say you have grown quiet lovely. In fact you look just like your mother when she was your age" he smirked at her in a perverted manner.
"Don't you dare talk about my mother you twisted psychopath" she snarled at him and tried to punch him in the gut. But he was fast and caught her, pressing her body to his, while breathing his hot breath in her neck.
Son tried to pull away and grunted the entire time; Megatron had enough and tried to get to them. But another shot from the blasters made him kneel before them, Son yelled and trashed for them to stop.
"Please stop this, no more. I beg of you no more please" she yelled and turned her head slightly to look at Silas, who just smirked at her crying form.
"You know since you have a soft spot for this thing, I'll make you a deal. Come with me quietly and I'll make sure it stays alive" he sneered at her.
Son was about to agree, when Megatron's weapon hummed to live and he aimed at them. Silas just smirked holding her closer to him and tightened his grip on her arm almost breaking it, Son felt helpless and grunted she wanted to break free but learned from her training to wait for the right opportunity.
The same could be said for the other Decepticons, Knockout and Breakdown kept themselves at bay with all their despite that they wanted to rip the human apart. While on the Nemesis Dreadwing and Starscream prepared themselves to attack MECH and get their leader and friend out of there. Back with Megatron, he knew he couldn't risk hurting Sonam but the fact that she looked so distress made his spark age.
"Hmpf, you can't shoot because I have her. Well if you come along quietly I might not have to hurt her" Silas told Megatron, not wanting the opportunity for him to get away. Son on the other hand shook her head and thrashed.
"Don't Megatron he'll rip you apart. Please just get out of her, let him take me, please come…ghah!" she couldn't say anything else since Silas held her neck tighter chocking her in the process.
Megatron's temper began to rise; never had he felt such hatred for the humans than now. He was about to attack when suddenly a shot came out of from the other side of the woods. All eyes and optics turned from where it came from and out came a green and yellow vehicle; it didn't take a genius to know what was happening. Before the other agents of MECH could lift their weapons the area they were standing on was shot from the other side and out came Knockout and Breakdown. The others transformed as well and aimed their weapons at MECH, while Optimus, Arcee and another white and blue mech came from behind. Silas grip on Son was a little tighter and Son was about to pass out, when a blast came near them and they both fell on the ground. Above them was Starscream and Dreadwing aiming their weapons on the humans, Son caught her breath and wanted to run towards Megatron, but Arcee was faster and picked her up holding her closely.
Megatron was about to demand her back and the Decepticons were ready to intervene if they didn't, but the sound of the ground bridge distracted them and Arcee ran through with Sonam in her hands. The last thing anyone heard before she disappeared was her screaming for Megatron in an audio piercing screech.
"MEGATROOOOONNNN!"
In the meantime MECH had disappeared in shadows that suddenly appeared beneath every agent and sucked them through. Now in that field there were only the Decepticons and a spark broken Megatron. He just gazed at the spot where his beloved had disappeared to and sank through his knee-struts yelling out in the open air;
"NOOOOOOO!"
With MECH
All the members of MECH had resurfaced at their temporary base looking confused. Silas was growling and wanted to punch something;
"So close, I was so close at getting her back after all these years. When I get my hands on those freaks I'll tear them apart limb from limb, while I'll make her watch" he thought to himself.
The other agents where wary of him, before anyone could actually ask was the heck happened a sinister laugh could be heard at the entrance. Out stepped FangBlade with Arachnid right behind them and some of the controlled Insecticons.
"It's been a while Silas. Though I can't say the same for your base since the last one was discovered by your government enforces" Arachnid said with a glint in her optics.
Silas just stared at her with his teeth gritting, however he suddenly gazed at FangBlade and wondered who this new-comer was.
"Before you ask anything human, I am FangBlade and I know your deepest desires for this human girl named Sonam" FangBlade told him.
Silas eyes widened and smirked sadistically, something about this FangBlade was off but he couldn't let the change of getting Sonam slide. Even if ti meant playing by his rules for the moment.
"Well then since you know so much about us, let's talk business" Silas said hands resting behind his back, while some of the soldiers held their ground weapons ready.
FangBlade just smirked and released his dark magic on Silas who grunted in pain, but a hand in the air made his soldiers stop from attacking FangBlade. When the darkness completely dissolved him he came out roaring covered in darkness, but his eyes were glowing acid green and his arms and legs turned into pure Cybertronian forms, the rest of his body looked like a living smug-like ooze. Silas calmed down and looked himself over; he laughed sinisterly and looked at his soldiers who were frightened of him.
"Sir are you alright?" one of the soldiers asked stepping forward a little, but was snatched of the ground and ripped in two.
"I feel great and now that I have become one of them, you are no use to me anymore" Silas told the others, he used the same dark aura that covered them before and suffocated each and every one of them.
Silas just laughed, while FangBlade looked with glee at the sight. Arachnid was a little surprised by Silas new power and wondered now what connection he might have had with the human.
At the Autobot Base
Son had fainted from all the excitement by the time everyone had arrive at the base, Arcee set her on the medical berth were Ratchet began to scan her to see if she had any injuries. All the Autobots gathered near the medical berth waiting for results; Optimus being the most worried about her, not because the Decepticons could have harmed her but of what happened out there with MECH.
"Well she doesn't have any injuries in her nor does her vitals show anything different, only that she fainted from the shock and the fact that she was almost chocked to death. Did the Decepticons do anything to her?" Ratchet asked the others, only to get an unexpected answer from Optimus.
"No, none of the Decepticons have harmed her in any form, in fact this was Silas's doing" Optimus replied looking at the girl with worried optics.
All optics was now on the girl, everyone thought the same thing but the new bot was the one to voice it;
"But why would the Cons be interested in her?"
"No idea Smokescreen, but we'll get the answer from her when she awakens. In the mean time we should consider a guardian for her" Ratchet replied, but before he could say anything else the bot named Smokescreen answered to that.
"Aw yeah, finally my own human partner…." Smokescreen spoke but was met with a wrench to the head.
"Ouch Ratch, what was that for? He asked the medic while rubbing his sore spot.
"For interrupting me, since the Cons were interested in her from the beginning without us knowing she'd be much safer with Optimus than any of us" Ratchet replied with a glare.
Optimus had a thoughtful look on his faceplates, which confused everyone since it would only be logical for him to become her guardian. Optimus wondered if she even wanted to stay here, since she promised to do her part in ending the war and bringing back Cybertron together with them, if she wanted to return he would surely let her; his only concern would be to explain it to the others without telling them about the entire arrangement with Vector Prime.
"We will see what she has to tell us when she awakens and she will decide who her guardian shall be" he answered their curious looks and went towards the entrance to start his patrols.
With Sonam
Sonam had entered the realm again and was meeting up with the other Primes, though this time there were four other bots there. Two she recognized immediately as Rumble and Frenzy, two she didn't know though one looked like Dreadwing only in green and silver coloring instead of blue and gold.
"Hey everyone, Rumble, Frenzy you're here" she exclaimed happily.
The two casseticons looked a little surprised she knew them, the other two bots looked surprised as well. Just then the Primes came into few and introduced her to them; Skyquake hit it off immediately with her when he learned what she had done for his tomb back on Earth and how she was there for his brother, the twins were friendly to her since she had helped cheer Soundwave up when he talked about Shockwave and them and off course helped out their youngest sibling get out of that vessel. Cliffjumper on the other hand was a little skeptical when she got along with the Cons so well, but when she explained that all of them are like that and about the situation in Kaon and the other cities during the Golden Age he began to rethink his view on all of them.
Sonam had told everybot about the situation on Earth and what had recently happened, some of the Primes were saddened about her past while the all who remained were angry towards the humans especially Silas.
"But right now I'm with the Autobots so Silas can't get his hands on me that easily, also I wanted to ask you all something concerning them" she said pointed at the recently deceased Cybertronians.
The Primes just smiled and it was Alpha Trion who spoke; "There is no need young one, all you need to do is receive a small part from their original bodies and a small part of your powers which you've practiced with so long will do the rest"
Son smiled and look at the others; "Bet you guys can't wait for me to bring you back to the land of the livings huh?! Don't worry you'll all have plenty of times to drive your comrades crazy pretty soon and count me in with some of the joking around"
Rumble, Frenzy and Cliffjumper smirked at that and decided that she was cool to have around, Skyquake looked a little worried but his gut-feeling told him she wouldn't allow anything hasty or drastic to happen. Plus he enjoyed a downtime with some of the Decepticons and usually had to drag his brother with him, the thought of his brother made his expired spark age a little.
Sonam bid her farewell to everyone and promised to awaken them as soon as possible, the others greeted her as well and promised to stand by her side if things got ugly out there, especially between the Autobots and the Decepticons.
A few moments later in the base….
Optimus and Ratchet were busy with the relic hunt, while the others were either on patrol or picking up the kids from school. Suddenly they both heard a noise coming from the medical berth and they both went to investigate.
Sonam was stirring a little before she opened her eyes and saw the two bots hovering over her, she gasped a little and sat upwards with a jolt. Ratchet was a bit startled at that, Optimus remained passive but was still worried about her. Ratchet began a scan on her while she looked around, before she could say anything Ratchet beat her to it.
"Well the scans show that she is alright and her vitals are normal now after that little nap of yours but tell me what were the Decepticons doing with you?" he asked her, getting down to business.
Before she could say anything all the other Autobots engines could be heard from the other side and in they all came along with nurse Darby's car. Everyone got out and off their respective partners and immediately took their places on the catwalks, Optimus gently picked up Sonam and sat her down near the main computer screen.
Miko was the first to walk up to her and get in her personal bubble asking away, the others just sighted at her behavior.
"Hiyeah, I'm Miko and that there are Jack, Raf and Jack's mom nurse Darby. Usually this place used to be a secret hideout from the parents, but since Jack here decided to be all noble on he brought her here don't worry you'll get use to her eventually…." Miko started earning a glare and dirty look from some of the bots and Jack and his mom, she just ignored them and moved on.
"Anyways, we're gonna need to get you a guardian since the Cons are interested in ya. That reminds me wha's your name? what you got on you?; are you super powered or something? or do you have any neat gismo they'd want?, come on tell us" Miko finished and Son just practically looked at her with a blank look the entire time she talked.
Son just shook her head and walked straight towards where Optimus was standing and looked up at him;
"Thanks for saving me from MECH Autobots, but what happened out there? Is Megatron alright?" she asked him, completely ignoring Miko's questions and all the looks she was getting for even asking.
"HEY! It's rude not to answer someone's questions ya know" Miko yelled out, while the boys and some of the bots snickered at that. But the others along with June were shocked that she would ask about Megatron instead of asking who they were. Optimus didn't know at the moment what to answer her, he hadn't thought about contacting the Decepticons at all. Son already knew the answer and sighted a little.
"Optimus you've got to send me back there, Megatron got a full blown hit from Silas's soldiers. Please I'm worried about him, you should have just let me go when Silas released me" she continued.
"Woah woah woah woah, hold everything. Are you saying you want to go back there? With the Cons? What they do to you?" Bulkhead suddenly asked, while Bumblebee beeped something at Ratchet.
"I did Bumblebee, her vitals show everything is normal. I just don't understand it myself, why on Cybertron would you want to return to those maniacs? And why would you concern yourself with Megatron?" Ratchet asked her.
Son got a little agitated and look for the first time at the human residents and hoped they'd give the right answer to her question.
"My name is Sonam and I have a question for the four of you; why would any of you stay with the Autobots? What do they mean to you?" she asked them with an expecting look.
Miko just crossed her arms wanting to ignore her question like she had done, but Jack and Raf didn't play along. June was a little surprised about the question and wondered what the kids would answer.
"Well they've become like family to us" Raf simply said. Jack nodded and added his two-cents;
"Yeah, I mean both me and mom haven't had it good since my dad. But the Autobots helped out a lot and brought a bit of excitement into our lives" Jack told them, surprising the bots and June.
Son smiled and nodded their direction, she looked up at the bots; "That's why I want to go back, they are my family and my reasons for Megatron's health is because I am…."
She thought for a moment wondering if the time is right for her to except Megatron that way, she loved him dearly and the necklace around her neck proved he loved her as well. Not to mention he took her thought into consideration without thinking twice. She looked up at the bots again and all looked at her with questioning looks, while Optimus had a hopeful look on his faceplates as if he was hoping she would say it.
"Because I am his future-spark-mate!" she told them with a smile, all but Optimus had widen their optics. Optimus on the other hand had a soft smile on his faceplate feeling nothing but happiness for his oldest friend.
"WHAT?!" all the bots screamed at her almost shaking the entire base with their volumes. The humans on the other hand looked confused; Miko was the first to ask;
"Okay, what the heck is a spark-mate and why would you want to be Megatron's?"
Before any of the bots could answer, Sonam beat them to it.
"A spark-mate is the same as having a husband or wife, the only difference is that they have a deeper connection. The reason for that is that their sparks; namely their heart and soul are combined becoming, in a sense one spark. This gives them the ability to feel each other's emotions and to communicate through the bond without the usage of comm-links or talking, it could also be very dangerous if one gets hurt the other will experience the same pain emotionally or if one gets killed the other will soon follow" she told the everyone, the kids thought she grew a second head, while the bots just stared at her with their mouths open.
"Wow, how did you know all of that?" Raf asked her
"Megatron, Soundwave and Starscream educated me all the facts on Cybertron and even their history before the great war" She told them, while taking a picture of the bots. This snapped them all out of their trance; Ratchet was the first to make a statement.
"The Decepticons thought to educate you on our history and culture! How? Where did they find the time to even allow a prisoner to…" before Ratchet could go on, Sonam stopped him right there with an agitated look on her face.
"Stop right there Ratchet, I was never a prisoner of the Decepticons from the start. Megatron helped me when my home was blown up by one of MECH's officers, you even utter a single negative word about him for that you'll regret it, Dreadwing has been training me as well and I am not afraid of using those same techniques on any of you!" she told them with a fierce look on her face.
Some of the bots looked disbelieving, while others laughed at that;
"Owh yeah, what you gonna do? Hit our peds with your fist?" Bulkhead asked her, she just smirked evilly and thought that teaching these guys a lesson in never underestimating their opponent wouldn't be such a bad idea.
She jumped as high as she could and landed on Arcee's shoulder plates, before anyone could react into catching her she jumped again and landed on Bulkhead's shoulder plates. She grabbed one of his neck cables making him freeze on the spot, Ratchet yelled at the others for them to stop.
"The cable I'm holding right now, is one of the main nerve sensors to your entire left-body parts, that get severely damaged it'll be fatal for you, also I can do this" she exclaimed and pinched it a little.
Bulkhead's left-ped suddenly rose and he kicked the white and blue mech on the knee, making him yelp in pain and jumping on the other while holding his hurt knee.
"Ouch ouch ouch, what you do that for Bulk?" he asked while rubbing his sore spot.
"Sorry about that Smokescreen, I had no control over it" Bulkhead said while trying to keep an optic on her.
Son just smirked and jumped again landing on Optimus's shoulders instead, she just sat down and smiled at him;
"Hey Optimus how are your injuries from last time?" she asked him, as if what just happened was a normal occurrence for her.
"How did you know about that nerve?" Ratchet asked astonished, while the others glared at her thinking she might try it on Optimus.
"Knock-Out and Breakdown needed some help in the medical wings and they thought me about those areas" she explained.
Again the bots were surprised at this, but Arcee had enough and said;
"You said you were Megatron's future-spark-mate, you really believe he has any feelings towards you? He's obviously lying to you!"
"You're wrong Arcee, Megatron does love me. He might want to admit it in front of all of you, but this necklace around my neck tells me otherwise" she told them and showed them the star-shaped necklace.
All the bots were astonished to see a pure-white energon crystal hanging around her, while the humans looked confused. Just then the communication relays started to blare, Ratchet went to the monitors to see who was contacting them.
"It's the Nemesis, they're probably want to know about the girl, should I answer?" Ratchet asked Optimus.
"Show it on the main screen Ratchet, let us hear what Megatron has to say" Optimus said while he settled Sonam down on the cat-walk.
In an instance Megatron's angry expression was shown on the screen, behind him were Dreadwing, Soundwave, Starscream and to everyone's shock (AN: no pun intended) Shockwave.
"Prime, where is she?!" Megatron bellowed through the screen, the humans held their ears at the volume of his voice.
"Wauw, he's crankier than ever" Smokescreen remarked, the others ignored him, while Optimus was negotiating with Megatron.
"Megatron, she is here with us and is uninjured" Optimus exclaimed
"That's great then you will not mind sending her back to me" Megatron began, but the Autobots stated their opinion on the matter
"Like the Pit, we will. We don't know what you did to her, but the moment she realizes you're lying your plan will not succeed" Ratchet told Megatron
"You give us back our sister or the next time none of you will be as lucky, trust me the entire army will come after you for this!" Starscream, practically yelled at them and was being held back by and angry Dreadwing.
The Autobots were stunned at the outburst, especially since it came from the seeker. Even the humans looked surprised, from they'd gathered from the Autobots data-base; Starscream cared little for anyone and was known for his lies. Suddenly they heard a shuffle from the back and both Knockout and Breakdown broke through Dreadwing and Soundwave. They both ran at the screen and yelled out for the girl themselves.
"Guys, I'm right here no need to cause a fuss up there" Son suddenly spoke out and all eyes and optics where on her.
All the Cons vented out the air they held in at the moment, Megatron looked her over with a soft gaze on his faceplates. Having no regards who was watching at the moment, he was just relieved she was safe even if it meant for her to be at the Autobots for the time being. All the bots optics widens at the sheer sight of Megatron looking at her in such a fashion, Ratchet and Bulkhead would have passed out from a glitch if Optimus didn't start to speak again.
"Megatron, as you can see she is safe from MECH. Though I wish to know one thing which only you can confirm to me and my fellow Autobots; is she truly your future-spark-mate as she has claimed to be?" he asked him, hoping he would clear everything and give him a good reason for her to return. Truth of the matter he wanted her to go back to Megatron, not because she promised to end the war, but because he wanted to see Megatron smile again.
All Megatron could feel at the moment was his spark spurring with emotions he kept dormant for so long, Sonam had admitted to be his spark-mate in the distant future. The other Decepticons could only stare and wait for their master's reaction and wonder what he might say to this news. On the other side of the screen, Son was looking at Megatron a little worried she might have said that part too soon.
"She speaks the truth Prime, as you can see the necklace on her was a gift from me to her on her creation-day some time ago. I…please return her to me" he said looking down at his spark-mate sadly.
Son held out a hand to the screen and blew a kiss towards him, hoping he would get the message that she loved him immensely. All Prime could do was laugh and lifted Sonam up with his servos, the others all we're stunned and didn't utter a single word.
"Then Megatron I will no longer part spark-mates from one another, I never allowed it at the beginning of the war and neither shall I start now. Regardless of whom they have chosen as a mate that much you know of me. I'll send you the coordinates on neutral territory, we shall be waiting there" Optimus exclaimed, he looked over at Sonam giving her permission to speak to him.
She smiled and kissed his cheek-plate; "Megatron don't worry I'm safe as long as Optimus is here and can't wait to go back again"
With that the communication was cut-off, Optimus was about to activate the Groundbridge when Arcee voiced her opinion on the matter, not liking this at all.
"Optimus, you aren't buying this are you? What if this is another trick and what if she's lying, are you willingly taking that change?" she asked him, the others looked a little confused on the situation.
"I know you all must be confused, but I will still not allow them to be apart from one another. That is just not the Autobot way and certainly no mine" he told them wholeheartedly.
The others didn't know what to make of the situation, right now some of them went through the bridge. However none of them saw the kids running through, well mostly Miko went through to see what would happen and the boys just wanted to catch her before the bridge closed.
On the other end, they returned to the same place Megatron had brought her. Awaiting their arrival some of the bots surveyed the area, when the bridge from the cons appeared and out came Megatron, Dreadwing, Starscream and some of the Vehicons with some energon cubes. The Autobots didn't expect that to happen, but none complained. Optimus moved towards Megatron, while his rival did the same not keeping his optics off of them. When they were a few feet from each other, Optimus extended his hand to allow Sonam on Megatron's. Megatron than gave the signal to put the cubes a safe distance from them on the ground, Optimus signaled the Autobots to gather them. All the while Miko waited anxiously for some action but none came, bored she jumped out and yelled;
"Hey come on, where's all the action?" she asked jumping up and down while punching the air.
Some of the where confused, while the Autobots rolled their optics. Bulkhead sighted and Optimus just shook his head at the girl's antics. Son just rolled her eyes, but focused them on Megatron again who looked at her with caring optics smiling.
"We thank you for the energon Megatron we shall depart from here, take care Sonam" Optimus said, while he secretly comm-linked Megatron.
"And congratulations the both of you, I wish you all the happiness" he told his old comrade, who looked surprised at him and just nodded his thanks. Optimus nodded as well, and for a while made optic-contact with Starscream. Both realized what they were doing and quickly looked away blushing furiously. Sonam was the only one who saw this and realized that there was glint between the two, she decided to keep this for herself and tried to create a plan to get each other to talk. But she had to play it safely if this were to work.
Back on the Nemesis
All the Decepticons waited for their arrival, when they all came through Sonam was snatched away from Megatron's servo by Knockout and was being looked over. Megatron stood there stunned at the sight of his empty servo, where his beloved had just been and huffed stomping over to them. The remaining Decepticons looked bemused, thought one particular Seeker was daydreaming away about a certain Prime.
Megatron just gathered Sonam in his servos and left towards the main deck. When they got there, Megatron sat her down while activating his holoform and held her tighter than ever, Sonam was not complaining and held just as tight.
"Did you mean what you said to the Autobots? About us?" he asked her, loosening a bit to gaze in her eyes. She smiled and kissed him with much heat and passion, closing their bodies together. When they pulled apart, just touching each other's lips she said;
"Does that count as a clarification, my Lord?!"
It was more a statement than an question, but Megatron answered her none the less with his own action.
"Yes it does, my queen" and kissed her once again, while the sun was setting right before them.
Little did they know that Soundwave was broadcasting the entire scene everywhere on the Nemesis, all Decepticons cheered at the declaration, Knockout held onto Breakdown hugging him. Soundwave leaned his head on his mate's shoulder, who would have smiled if he had a faceplate, Ravage and the other deploys cheered in their own way dancing around. Starscream smiled at the scene and for the first time felt happy for Megatron, Dreadwing too smiled at the scene while fist-bumping some of the Eradicons.
Somewhere else….
Two figures a slim middle-aged woman wearing blue and white shinobi robes and a black and gold slimmed figured femme with wings similar to an actual bumblebee's, horns sticking out of her helmet, green optics and had a samurai sword on her back.
"Sensing something my friend?" the femme asked her human friend, to which the woman replied with a smile and a tear running down her cheek.
"Yes my friend, my daughter is happy and is following her destiny as a true warrior, the time will come soon we shall meet and will bring her to the pond" the woman told the femme bot, she turned around and smiled at her.
"We must gather the others GoldBee, your assistance will be needed against the Insecticons if the reports about Arachnid and FangBlade are true, Silas and I will battle again and this time only one of us shall leave standing" she told the femme named GoldBee
"Hai Dristi, have faith from what I gathered she's training with the cons as well as with the Primes in the Netherworld when she sleeps or meditate. Your daughter is a warrior by heart" GoldBee told the woman named Dristi.
Dristi looked into the sky one last time and departed with her friend towards the mountains, where other Cybertronians and human allies await them. Having only one thought and prayer for her daughter;
"Well done my daughter, words can never describe how proud I am of you. Follow your destiny, but do so with your heart and spirit"
Hallelujah. Finally I'm done with this chapter. As you all know Holidays are at the door, but my back is killing me for some reason I really don't know what happened.
And I've decided to pair Optimus and Starscream together!
Anyways no chapters after the holidays cause right after I'll be busy with exams and projects so need 100% focus on that.
