Hi, time for the second chapter in a couple days. I need to make up for leaving for quite a while. I own next to nothing.
-Kate POV-
A rustling noise wakes Kate from a deep sleep.
"Ugh. Whoever is out there, you must have a death wish."
Suddenly she hears what sounds like a rock hitting the opening to their den. She gets up and looks over at Humphrey. He's been unconscious for a week and a bit and she was starting to get worried, until he woke up yesterday.
"Well, I better go find out who is making so much noise outside." she Thinks to herself.
Once outside, she doesnt see anything at first, then on closer inspection, she notices a bush moving around, the suddenly a rock goes flying out and hits the den again. Kate crouches down and sneaks towards the bush. Once she is close enough, she pounces on whoever is on the other side of the bush... only to realize it was Sarah, obe of the instructors.
"what are you doing here and why are you throwing rocks at our den at 2 am?" Kate hisses at her
"I need to speak to Humphrey. Its urgent."
"Well I can take a message for him." Kate replies.
"No you can't. Its too complicated." replies Sarah
"Well you better tell me or I may just "accidentally" rip your throat out, cause I thought you were a threat." threatens Kate.
"Fine. This may sound weird, but its all true." saysays Sarah.
After about an hour of lying about the reaper and being the Gatekeeper, Kate finally gets it.
"So can I speak to Humphrey?" asks Sarah.
"If you can get him up yeah." replies Kate.
Both kate and Sarah proceed into the den and Sarah starts to violently shake him.
"Huh, oh, OWWW!" screams Humphrey
"I'm sorry Humphrey, but its urgent." says Sarah
"Uregnt enough to warrant causing EXTREME PAIN to someone!?" replies Humphrey
"Yes." replies Sarah.
"Ugh, I swear. Sometimes you can be very helpful and other times you can be dense as possible." says Humphrey.
"This is really urgent. Follow me." says Sarah as she starts to walk out the den.
Humphrey turns to Kate and says
"Ill be right back dear. I love you."
He rushes out of the den and Kate lays back down and goes back to sleep. A few seconds later, she feels something clamp over her muzzle, preventing her from screaming for help, and as she struggled, she slowly got weaker until she passed out.
-Humphrey POV-
He storms up to Sarah only just now realizing he's in perfect health.
"This better be damn important."
"It is. I need to Know what exactly what the last thing your father said to you was. This is for your own safety." replies Sarah.
"He said something about telling Troy to teach me to become the reaper and that there is very little time. Thats all I remember."
"Ok. Thank you Humphrey." says Sarah.
Both of them start walking back to the den, but when they get close, they smell a couple of wolves that neither of them recognize. They quickly rush back into the den and find no Kate, just a note laying on the ground. It says
"If you ever want to see your precious Kate ever again, you and the bitch Sarah are to come to the Dead Mans Heights in 5 days with no company and we will turn free Kate. Bring company, and she will die a horrific death right in front of your eyes. Expect her to be tortured for information on you two.
Signed The Damned."
They both look at each other, pick up the note and take off full strint towards Troy's den.
