-Humphrey POV-

Sarah and I race to Troy's den. It may be only 3:00 AM, but he'll understand. As we run, I keep wondering who The Damned are, and why they chose to hide out in those cursed and haunted ruins up on Dead Mans Heights? Whoever they are, they must be slightly crazy, or at least will be soon. I hope Kate is ok. We get to Troy's den and howl. He comes out looking pissed.

"Sir, a Guardian has been captured and is being held for torture. Hades sent us to you. He requests you teach Humphrey how to become the reaper. There isn't much time." says Sarah.

Troy reads the note and says

"The fact that a Guardian was captured is not too much of a concern, She should be able to get away. The part that worries me is who captured her and why. Obviously they chose her to get to Humphrey, who would pose the least threat of the Gaurds of the Underworld, so they could, I presume, kill him to unleash the souls to taunt you to weaken you then kill you and release the souls completely. But why?"

"We don't know sir, we just ask that you teach Humphrey ASAP." Sarah begs

"It will be done." Troy replies.

Troy turns to me and tells me everything I need to know about becoming, being, and returning from the reaper.

"To be the reaper, use the anger from the souls to fuel yours and imagine being it. After your first time, it'll get alot easier, but don't forget to ground yourself. Remember someone or something happy and important to you, a reason to stay alive, or the souls will drag you down with them when you return to normal, meaning you'll die" Troy tells me. "Go ahead and try it."

"Ok" I reply

I close my eyes and start to think of things that make me mad. I can feel the anger from all the demons in the underworld behind it all and then I start to imagine what I would look like as the reaper. I open my eyes and see that I've gotten seriously muscular, and I hear different wolves snoring, and can see things clearly that I didn't even knew existed... like the fly buzzing arount the room. I feel tough, almost invincible.

"So how do I go back?" I ask

"You must imagine something close to your heart, weather that be a family member, a friend, or a lover. It just has to be someone important to you, then imagine your old self." replies Troy.

I imagine Kate, standing with me. I can feel her gentle touch and her loving embrace. As I imagine all of that, I can feel myself changing. I open my eyes and I look like my normal self again.

"Now go to your father and tell him what happened. he might be able to help." says Troy

"Yessir" I replyreply

Sarah and I leave and return to my den and proceed to the underworld. My vision goes black for a couple seconds and when I wake up, I'm in the Underworld. I run towards the gate and race over to the Court of the Dead to find Dad. After a couple of minutes searching around, I find a door labeled Rulers Office, so I bang on the door.

"Who is it and what do you want?" is the harsh response I get.

"Its Humphrey. I need to speak to you. Its urgent." I say.

"Come in, the door is open" he says

I then storm in and tell him everything thats happened.

"The Damned you say." says Dad.

"Yeah. Do you have any idea who they might be?" I ask

"Yeah. they're most likely wolves who have been conquered by evil souls."

"You mean they've been possesed?"

"No, they've been conquered. There is a big difference. Being possesed is by force and normally can only last a few years at most before the soul has to leave the host. Being conquered is voluntarily letting a soul control your body, but if you let too strong a soul in, he can overrun you and displace your soul and you'll never get your body back unless he leaves. Being possesed is like sleepwalking. You don't know whats happening. Being conquered, you can waych exactly whats happening, but have no control if the soul displaces you." explains my father.

"So how do we save them?"

"The best way to save them now, is to kill them. they're suffering badly right now." says dad.
