"Dragon ball radar, check...Scouter, check... Flash light, and check! That should be everything." Bulma thought out loud as she examined the tools within her yellow back pack. She closed the pack up, and slung it over her right shoulder. Bulma stood – head held high as she took in a deep breath. With this she could at least be a bit more at ease. Bulma looked down and examined herself. She was no dressed in a sleeveless red turtleneck top as well as white shorts to allow better movement than ever before. Bulma grinned, yes, now she was in comfortable combat boots – ready to climb any mountain in her path – she was unstoppable!
Bulma let out chuckle as she strode across her room and picked up the telephone from the counter top dialing for her father. It rang a couple of times, but sure enough her father answered, Scratch meowing in the background for attention.
"Hello, hello," Her father's voice came, irritation ringing in his voice on the second breath. "Stop it would you Scratch!"
"Dad, its Bulma." She announced pausing knowing her dad must have been fighting to put Scratch down from his shoulder. "Sorry if I worried mother and you, but I've been dealing with some events over on New Namek."
"Oh that's great!" Her father exclaimed earning a question mark appearing over Bulma's head in curiosity. She tilted her head slightly into the phone more to make sure she was hearing correctly. "Did you get the chance to speak with Moori yet? We were in touch, but after the incident everything has gone south."
"You mean the attack?" Bulma questioned, now realizing what Lusc was referring to. The Namekian council wanted to speak to her on behalf of her father.
"Aa," Her father's voice came as she heard him scrambling around papers looking for something. "Here it is. The Biome project."
'Biome?' Bulma echoed soundlessly, a million thoughts rolling in her head. Was the result of the unnatural growth on Namekian – her father's fault?
"If my calculations are correct they should be in full notion to start exports to our planet. Can you imagine?! An unlimited supply of Sensu beans!"
'Sensu?!'
"But unfortunately the attack on New Namek has been a bit of a bother. The drone hasn't been arriving each time we send it out into space—Well it reaches the planet but someone keeps shooting it down! I assumed the planet had invaders but communication has all but stopped. I fear the Namekians are hiding to prevent being found out. I'm glad to hear from you Bulma but this confirms my suspicions and is frustrating to hear..."
Bulma felt herself in an odd position, all she could do was part her mouth and give her own share of 'aa.' The new information being processed into her brain. To think - Sensu beans being mass produced on Namekian – wonderful – but also fairly dangerous. What if it fell into enemy hands? "Bulma," Her father called, shaking her from her thoughts. "Please inform Vegeta, if not Goku, that this matter is an important benefactor to us. I've already started working on another GR that can travel into space."
"You don't have to worry about that." Bulma insisted, realizing her parents were still in the dark about Vegetto. "Goku," Bulma dragged out dryly as a bead of sweat rolled down her head. "Has mastered his Instant Transmission technique and now is able to port from planet to planet – easily. That's how we got home."
"Great Scott! That's excellent! I look forward to hearing from Moori soon then! Yeowch-!" He cried and a hiss from a Scratch echoed over the line. Bulma felt herself chuckle.
"I see your hands are full so I'll let you go." Bulma said as she drew the phone away from her ear to hang it up.
"Sorry about the guest!" She heard her father's voice but before she could question it again the line went dead. Bulma blinked a couple of times, and then pondered if she should call back. Her finger hovered over the number, and before she could press-she felt a presence behind her.
'Vegetto.'
Her mind grumbled, before relaxing. It was when he put his hand on her shoulder that she put the phone down, and grumbled. Honestly, he always appeared at the worst times. She turned to face him but as she did her heart leap up and she screamed causing her guest to flinch too.
Bulma stumbled back, placing a hand over her heart as the visitor – whom was clearly not Vegetto started laughing.
"Hey mom its been awhile!"
Bulma felt her mouth gap and then she somehow her lips settled into a beaming smile.
"Trunks. You're back. I don't know what to say."
"It's okay. Besides we need to talk." He stated very forwardly and Bulma need not any explanation.
"More enemies."
"Yes and much worse than before."
Bulma felt her heart sink in an instant.
"Tell me everything."
