Chapter 7: Enacting a Crazy Plan
Earth 1: Central City, August 14, 2015: (Team Canary)
Everything needed order. All of these people, and not one calculated their actions. One parent couldn't control their offspring and had to yell at them in response to the child throwing their ice cream cone on the ground as part of a tantrum. Two human mates couldn't seem to get along with each other, despite them being of the same sex, as they constantly bickered to one another. Everything needed order and humans surely didn't have that mindset. They were reckless, they were selfish, and most importantly they were weak. That was why he was created. To terminate the weeds in the garden.
The machine walked in a stiff manner until he turned his direction from the sidewalk, and into an alleyway, where he stalked up to a door and knocked on it.
The door opened, and a man peered out of it and looked up at the machine. "State your name and business." He said with seriousness.
"You have an arsenal of black market weapons." The machine stated stoically.
"Who did you hear that from?" The man inquired confusingly as he looked at the lifeless expression on his face.
"The men I killed approximately twenty-seven blocks from here." The machine answered blankly.
"What the fu-" Before the man could react, he was grabbed by the neck, and sent flying inside, with the machine chasing after him and closing the door behind him. Muffled gunshots and screams were heard from behind the closed door until it went silent. A few minutes passed, and the door opened again, but this time with the machine being riddled with bullet holes, and carrying a large duffle bag with him.
On the streets, people only glared at the machine, but only for a short moment as they had other concerns and business to take care of. He noticed this and looked down at his chest and saw the vast amount of bullet holes that covered his torso. He no longer blended in at this state. He would need a change of clothes and something to remove the bullet fragments.
The machine found the nearest clothing store, and paid for a new coat and shirt with the money taken from the underground black market, and went into the bathroom in the back. Using his fingers to dig out the embedded bullets, until he was finished and got dressed in the newly acquired clothing. Now he could continue his hunt.
He left the bathroom in a bloody mess and went back into the outside world with one thing that flashed on his heads-up display. Find and terminate John Connor and Cameron Phillips.
After walking amongst the crowd of people for miles, the machine ended up in Central City's downtown district. Everyone was still clueless about what would happen in three years. Their entire race will become extinct, and his creator will have finally won. All was needed now was to find and kill John Connor. The machine: Cameron, was his best option in locating him.
Suddenly, every television within the entire block and everyone's smartphones went black, before a video appeared. The machine walked up to the window of a nearby pub and tunes his ear receptors to hear the sound from behind the glass.
"If you're looking for John Connor, then you have to earn the right to terminate him. Come to find me at Star Labs, and prove to me that Skynet has sent it's best terminator for the job."
It was a short message, but it was enough. It was intended for him, and Cameron seemed to have come to start following her core programming and gave into Skynet's wishes. But she wanted him to prove he was worthy of killing the future leader of the Resistance? There was no comprehension on how this machine developed such a sense of pride and determination. It was illogical. But now that he knew where to find Cameron Phillips, and possibly John Connor, he was already stalking down the street, in pursuit for his main mission- his only existence in life.
•••
Well, here they were. Standing in the Star Labs parking lot, like a bunch of idiots with nothing but a few company issued vans surrounding them, and crates surrounding the entrance in case their plan went south. If nothing worked then they could just lead, and trap the terminator in one of the metahuman cells until they could figure out what to do with him.
"Okay, so can I back out now?" Summer asked with worry.
Everyone looked at the woman approach them wearing her little costume. Harry suggested that she take off what little makeup she had, and do her best to replicate the style of clothes her television counterpart wore, using Laurel's clothes. Sure enough, she looked just like the terminator she portrayed, if not a little older.
"You'll be fine, Summer," Laurel assured with a smile. "Me, Harry, Joe, and Iris are gonna provide you with some additional support if anything else goes wrong."
Summer gave a weak smile and took a deep breath. "Thank you for explaining," she said in a blank, emotionless tone.
"That's the spirit, Ms. Glau!" Harry applauded. "Keep that up and the Terminator may only shoot at you a few times." He then said jokingly. He immediately regretted saying that as her eyes widened, and she looked at him with an even more concerned and fearful expression engraved on her face.
"He's only kidding." Iris then reassured, while also making sure to give Harry a long and enticing glare. "Right, Harry?"
Knowing what she meant, he only nodded. "Uh, yeah. You'll be fine with this." Harry scrambled for his bag and pulled out two weapons. He then proceeded to hand one to Summer in which she took and looked at with uncertainty.
"What is this?" Summer inquired with confusion.
"Is that Leonard Snart's cold gun?" Joe exclaimed with disbelief. He remembered that weapon being used in several bank robberies as well as killing someone and hurting Barry.
"It's a replica of the weapon, yes." Harry acknowledged. "I built one of these back on my earth to battle Deathstorm, as well attempted to use it on Zoom….. it didn't work on him, sadly."
"So this is an ice gun?" Summer asked with curiosity.
Harry lowered the weapon that Summer accidentally pointed at him and Joe. "Yes, and please don't shoot us."
"Sorry." Summer apologized.
"You do know how to shoot a gun, right?" Laurel asked the actress with concern.
"Yes, I've had training in how to use a gun," Summer rolled her eyes. "Not everything in the show was special effects, you know."
"Good." Joe mused. He looked at the woman, and back down at his police-issued kevlar vest. An idea came to mind, and Joe undid the vest and took it off, before handing it to Summer. "You know what, here. If you are putting yourself in the line of fire, then maybe it's better to be safer than sorry."
Summer reluctantly complied and put the vest under Laurel's black leather jacket. It made her chest puff out more, but other than that, you really couldn't tell the difference.
"So are we ready?" Laurel inquired.
"Yes," Harry nodded. "I'm sending the broadcast to every television station in the city. With our luck, the terminator will see it and will come here." Harry pressed a few buttons on his laptop, taking the time to access every single station around the coast. In place of most anticipated reruns of Firefly, he purposely looped their broadcast over. With that done, not all they had to do was wait. "There we go. It's sent."
"We better get into position, then," Joe suggested. Everyone nodded in agreement and began to hide behind the vans and crates, waiting to ambush the machine when they least expected it.
Before Laurel got into her position, she felt a strange queasy feeling in her gut. Ugh, maybe I shouldn't have eaten all of Cisco's pizza rolls, after all. She brushed off that feeling and walked over to the actress, and gave a bright smile. "You ready?"
"No." Summer said shyly. "What if he shoots me in the face?"
"Don't worry, he won't. You'll be fine. After all, you are equipped with a weapon that can even take down the flash." Laurel explained with a smirk. "Just tell us when you need us, then we'll have your back."
"I still don't know about this," Summer persisted.
She is pretty scared. An idea suddenly popped into Laurel's head."You know what, think of it this way. We are shooting another episode of the Sarah Connor Chronicles. Think of yourself as Cameron, and this is your biggest foe yet."
"Oh! Okay. So just play it out like a rehearsal? We used to adlib for fun during breaks to see if we could improve the choreography for fight scenes."
"Yeah, see! Now, you got it!" Laurel happily acknowledged. "Just do that and you'll be fine."
Before Summer could say anything else, Laurel had already stepped away, leaving her standing on the steps, near the Star Labs entrance, alone. It was quite silent as the minutes passed. No sounds, aside from the cars along the main interstate, passing by. This was taking too long. What should have been a few minutes, seemed like an hour at this point. Where was this man? This machine that everyone is calling it. Machines didn't exist. At least in the sense that these new people she met, explained. Terminators were fictional. She would know considering she spent a year and a half acting like one.
I wonder why this thing hasn't started looking for Thomas yet.
Suddenly, a figure stepped out of the shadows, and slowly, Summer saw who it was. The same man who attacked her at the Comic Con. The supposed machine. He did look similar to one of the actors that played one of these things a few years ago, but by the way, he was trying to kill her, it wasn't that one.
"Guys! He's here!" Summer quietly exclaimed into her earpiece.
"Don't worry, Summer, just remember what we practiced," Laurel quietly encouraged over the comm channel.
Summer silently acknowledged what Laurel said. She took a deep breath, beginning to compose herself, and tightly grasped the cold gun, as the machine had walked closer to her, and stopped dead in its tracks. Her face went stoic, and she looked at the machine with no fear being displayed on her face.
"I've been waiting for you."
"Cameron Phillips." The machine replied blankly. "Where is John Connor?"
Well if this were indeed just a fan, then Summer had to admit that he was doing one hell of a job at the acting part. If he wants to play this game, fine. "Far away from here," Summer acknowledged in a flat, blank tone. "I suggest you leave right now before I… terminate you."
The machine didn't immediately reply, and his eyes began searching around Summer, where he silently studied the surrounding area. The gun she was holding was unknown to him, but it was giving off a cool temperature from what he could analyze. There was no capturing this terminator without sustaining any damage to his endoskeleton, and possibly risking termination on himself. Her model was trick and required a different approach.
Before Summer could blink, the Terminator took out his MP5 and fired a burst of fire at her. In turn, she immediately flew back and landed on the steps.
Seeing this, Iris and Harry rushed to her aid, whilst Joe and Laurel provided cover fire for the three. Harry and Iris both dragged Summer behind one of the vans and eased her against the vehicle. Joe took Summers cold gun and immediately joined the three. Harry immediately ripped open her jacket, fearing the worst. He sighed in relief as he found the four bullets to have had hit the vest Joe lent her.
"H-h-h-he shot me!" Summer exclaimed in absolute horror, wincing in pain at the feeling of the impact welts that she felt lingering underneath her T-shirt.
"Guys, we need to get inside right now!" Joe strongly suggested. Everyone agreed without hesitation, and Iris and Laurel grabbed Summer and started guiding her inside. Both Harry and Joe stood up and began using both the cold gun and the Mercury Labs plasma gun, to concentrate fire on the machine with attempts to push him back. They were both surprised to find that instead of this machine standing in place like they half expected, he was instead dodging every shot with absolute ease.
"Fall back!"
Both Harry, and Joe ran inside the old Star Labs lobby, and Harry immediately ran for the emergency shutter switch. The doors automatically shut, and metal shutters fell in place of the glass, windows, and doors, sealing them all in.
"That worked out well, didn't it, Harry!?" Iris angrily quipped.
"Well, I'm sorry Ms. Glau here didn't shoot the damn thing as we discussed!" Harry argued back.
"I didn't shoot because I wasn't ready to believe you crazy people yet!" Summer shouted in irritation. "I didn't want to accidentally murder someone!"
"Well do you believe us now?" Laurel asked.
"Hell if I know!" Summer shrugged.
Joe shook his head on defeat. "I'm calling for backup. How long will those shutters last?" Before Harry could answer, the fist impression in the steel, making itself visible, was. Summer looked at the door with her eyes widened as the glass shattered due to the shock of the impact.
"I'd say five minutes if we're lucky enough," Harry simply responded.
"We'll take what we can get, then." Joe accepted. He aimed the cold gun at the walls and fired a beam of ice at the door, making an ice wall. "That should buy us a few more minutes." With that out of the way, Joe took his phone out and began dialing the Central City police department, and called in for some backup.
"Okay, I believe you guys!" Summer stated in horror.
"It took you long enough!" Iris groaned. She looked back up at her father and Harry. "What next?"
"We have to wait until backup arrives," Joe answered. "Until then, we need to block off any exits and entry points we can. That machine will be coming for Summer, so she is our main priority."
"I hate how I'm being put into this John Connor role now!" Summer quietly berated herself, causing the other four occupants to look at the woman with concern. She appeared to be having some form of a tantrum.
"Don't worry, help is on the way," Laurel assured. We are so gonna need the National Guard for this.
Earth 716: Los Angeles, California, February 5, 2008: (Team Arrow)
Oliver wondered why he even accepted this. Why did he agree to leave the already crazy reality that was Starling City- his own responsibility, and agree to come to this foreign world where nothing was recognizable. Being a fish out of water never really suited him. Even coming to terms that Barry was the impossible was still a very difficult concept, considering the only thing that remotely came close to his abilities, was Slade Wilson and his Mirakuru.
Cameron was their main priority right now. That's what he apparently signed up for instead of doing what he came here for. To stop the artificial intelligence threat that was Skynet. Instead, he felt like he was babysitting everyone. He was the only one. Aside from Jesse, and Jane Henry, that was capable of handling themselves. Even then, he was forced to watch over Caitlin, John, and Cameron's inactive body.
Oliver now wondered why the hell they even brought it with them. Lugging it into their van was quite useless considering they were only finding a chip for Jane Henry and planning on separating the two back at the house.
He was worried about Felicity right now. Was she safe? Was everything in Starling City safe with Diggle and Laurel watching over it for him? He looked back at Cameron's body and then at John who sat across from him.
That was another thing. He remembered when Isabel had seduced him in order to lower his guard and take his father's company. Maybe coming out and saying that he had relations with this machine's one of many Earth-One counterparts was best a discussion better left not bring up… ever.
The van soon came to a halt. "We're here!" Jesse announced loudly.
Everyone stepped out of the vehicle, in which John looked on in amazement as he recognized the place. "What are we doing at my high school?"
"A better place to lure a piece of scrap to," Jesse explained. "If shit were to go sideways, then there are more places for you to hide."
John only glared at the woman after hearing her snippy comment. He decided to ignore it and went straight to the point. "So how the hell do we lure a terminator to us?"
"I have already taken care of that." Jane Henry announced.
"How?" Catlin inquired. "I thought you couldn't access the Internet or anything with Cameron taking up space in your chip?"
"Correct, I can't." Jane Henry acknowledged in a bright tone. "But, I've already taken the time to analyze the chip's contents and found that like all other terminator models developed by Skynet, each model, no matter how obsolete or damaged, can send transmissions that any other terminators in a twelve-mile radius can pick up."
"So you've already sent one out I'm assuming?" John asked, already knowing the answer.
"Yes." Jane nodded. "You must be very proud to have someone like Cameron. Her chip is more unique than the one that once inhabited this body."
"Yeah, let's not talk about that one." John requested. Jane Henry nodded in acceptance and got back to focusing on the task at hand. Oliver pulled a duffle bag from the back of the van, and pulled a few firearms and handed one to Jane, John, and even handing Caitlin a handgun. With that, he retrieved his recurve bow and his quiver of arrows.
Jesse looked at everyone. Each had a weapon of some sorts. Even Oliver had his stupid bow and arrow that would never work against a fight with a machine. "Where's mine?"
"You don't get one," Oliver said calmly.
"What!?" Jesse exclaimed in outrage. "Why? Why does the redhead get one and I don't? I know how to kill metal! I've been fighting the damn things since I was just a little girl!"
"And how do I know you won't turn the gun on me? Or John?" Oliver mused. "Do you not remember what you were doing with him, or do you just like to forget that you have had an innocent blonde girl play games with him, and more specifically, why you betrayed him in the first place?"
"I was trying to get the metal away from him!" Jesse spat. "That thing corrupted my General and I was the only one who wouldn't have any of that shit! But look at me now. I'm here to help the damn piece of scrap!"
"You're not getting a gun and that is final." Oliver persisted.
Jesse approached closer to Oliver and spat in his face, causing him to flinch slightly. "Go to hell!"
He rubbed off the spit "Get back in the van," Oliver demanded with calmness.
"Or what? You gonna shoot me with that fancy bow of yours?" Jesse chuckled. "Try me. I have been shot with far worse weapons than a stupid Robbins Hood playset."
Oliver sighed and looked over at the perky blonde AI, and motioned her to Jesse. "Jane Henry, will you please."
"You gonna have the dumb blonde Tin kill me?" Jesse asked.
Her answer was ultimately displayed as Jesse was met with a foot in her chest and went flying back into the van. Oliver closed the door behind her and locked her inside with the keys, throwing them in his pocket. "Thank you, Jane Henry."
"Did I hurt her?" She asked with concern. "I tried to only exert enough force to knock her oxygen levels out, but this body is hard to calculate the exact force I used. I hope I didn't break her ribs."
"Maybe she'll learn to shut up then," Caitlin mumbled and looked at her gun. She handed it back to Oliver in a fearful attempt. "I'm not sure I feel comfortable using this."
Oliver walked over to the redhead and wrapped her hands around the gun, implying that she keep it. "Just in case something bad happens, and I can't protect any of you, then I need you to be able to do that. Can you do that for me?" Oliver asked. Caitlin reluctantly nodded and took the gun and held it with caution. "Okay," he then looked back at Jane Henry. "When does this terminator show up?"
"I don't know. But given our location, and the twelve-mile radius the transmission can reach I would estimate about fifteen to twenty minutes."
"Good," Oliver smirked in satisfaction. "That gives us plenty of time to set up an ambush then." With that said, Oliver looked at John. "How do we take down a terminator?"
"Uhh, well...the only ways I've ever weakened a terminator were when I've exposed it to electricity. Typically when a wire is exposed to a body of water it can send them into a reboot, giving us only about 120 seconds until they reboot themselves'" John explained.
"So if we can expose the machine with enough electrical output, we can easily disable it and take out its chip?" Caitlin asked to which John nodded. "So how can we do that here? I see nobody of water anywhere in this city except for the ocean that is at least miles from here."
"Then we need to find something that has an equal electrical charge," John affirmed. "We can find one in the school's power box and make a trap."
"The problem is that we'll be rendered blind. We won't be able to see if the power were to shut off." Caitlin then pointed out.
"I have multiple ranges of vision settings. I can see perfectly in the dark." Jane Henry acknowledged.
"I've been the hood for a short occasion, so I know sneaking around in the dark quite well." Oliver too mentioned.
"Great. What do we do then?" John and Caitlin asked.
"Distraction. Keep it busy while I and Jane Henry can rig a trap and you and Caitlin can lead the machine straight into it." Oliver explained.
"This isn't Scooby Doo, Oliver." Caitlin pointed out.
"I know but that is the only plan I can think of, right now. So unless any of you have something better than we are gonna stick to doing it my way." With no protests being heard from anyone, Oliver and Jane Henry disappeared for a few minutes and began setting up the small trap to catch a terminator. Meanwhile, John and Caitlin patiently waited by the van outside the empty school parking lot until they returned.
With nothing to do in the meantime, John leaned against the van and sighed heavily. Why did Cameron have to hand over her chip to Jane Henry? She sacrificed herself for some stupid AI. He just hoped that this wouldn't be a bust. He just hoped that he could get Cameron back.
"Don't worry, we'll get Cameron back," Caitlin assured, also, in turn, breaking John out of his deep thoughts.
"How did you know I was worried about her?"
"I'm a doctor, John." Caitlin clarified. "Plus I always have to deal with Barry and Cisco's relationship problems so I understand what you're going through."
"Did you have… or do you have someone?" John asked curiously.
"I did…" Caitlin replied grimly. "My fiancé… died a while back."
"What happened?" John then inquired.
"He died a hero. He helped Barry save our city."
"I'm so sorry, Caitlin," John said apologetically. "I didn't want to ask if it brought back some uncomfortable memories."
"No, no, it's okay." Caitlin forced a smile. "Just promise me that you'll never let Cameron go. After we find her a chip and get her back, you have to protect her, and she will have to protect you."
"I… I promise." John agreed. Both he and Caitlin shared a small hug, until awkwardly releasing and stepping back from each other. "Well… maybe we should-"
"Yeah-" Caitlin agreed without knowing what John intended to say.
"Good." John accepted. "I'll go stand over here and report if I see the T-888."
"And I'll go over here and… and do the same." Caitlin reported and stood opposite of John.
"Will you lovebirds cut it out!"
Both John and Caitlin stopped what they were doing upon hearing a muffled voice come from inside the van. They knew who it was. Oliver locked Jesse because she could not be trusted whatsoever. But she was in there with Cameron's body. What if she was mutilating it or something? He didn't want anybody to touch her. John opened the van door with worry for Cameron's endoskeleton
Luckily it wasn't touched and Jesse was nowhere near it. She was instead sitting on the floor, twiddling her thumbs. She looked back up at the two with a smirk and stood up. "Did you have second thoughts?"
In response, John shook his head. "Oliver had a point."
"I was only spying on you." Jesse immediately answered. "I haven't done anything! Did you think I was gonna kill Riley?"
"I don't know for sure." John hesitated. "But you still betrayed us and my future self."
"Save me the bullshit!" Jesse hissed, while accusingly pointing her finger. "I was doing the right thing and that won't change my mind-" Both Caitlin and John looked at Jesse with confusion as she stopped mid-sentence and her finger slowly curled back into her fist. "Get. In. The. Van."
"What?" John inquired. He stopped to see an old motorcycle pull up into the parking lot, and stop not too far away from them. The man that got off the bike wore heavy leather and sunglasses in the dark. His face displayed no ounce of emotion or expression. He knew what it was.
Without another word, Jesse grabbed both John and Caitlin by the arm and pulled them inside before closing the door.
"Okay, there is a Terminator outside!" Caitlin loudly whispered. "What do we do!?"
"Shut it, Red!" Jesse snapped at the woman. "We need to disable it."
"Oliver and Jane Henry left to go set up a trap," John explained. Jesse took that into acknowledgment and peered out the glass window to see the machine start stalking up to the van. In hindsight, it wasn't smart to park in the middle of an abandoned parking lot when there were no other vehicles present, and they were trying to ambush the cyborg.
"Okay, we don't have much time," Jesse announced. "We need to move quickly. I'll provide cover fire while you make a run for it, and lead the damn piece of scrap into Robin Hood's trap."
John and Caitlin agreed to Jesse's small plan, and John quickly called Oliver and explained to him what was happening. Both he and Jane Henry were in the school Cafeteria covering every inch of the room with water. Exposing a live wire will surely fry anything that came to contact, that included a terminator. Even him. He made sure to request a table or something to lift himself up last second so he could avoid becoming a school lunch item.
This terminator was after him. He would need to be the bait and he would need run as fast as he could. He would need the cover fire so he had a chance to run. If not then he'd be gunned down almost immediately without any cover. He didn't trust Jesse and he wasn't sure if Caitlin knew how to even fire a gun. There were so many possible outcomes if he were to give her a firearm. She could possibly turn it on him if he was unlucky enough.
John peeked out the van window one last time and saw the machine already a few meters away. Well, I'll be dead either way.
"Here," John said, giving his gun to Jesse. "If you're providing cover fire then you'll need this."
"Thank you, General." Jesse snickered. She undid the safety and checked for a fresh round in the chamber. "Let's do this."
With everything set in motion, John climbed through the front seat and through the passenger side, while Caitlin and Jesse opened the back doors and stepped out. Immediately, they both began to fire their weapons at the machine, with most shots coming from Jesse as Caitlin didn't react too well to the loudness and kick.
After their guns went empty, both ran for cover as the machine pulled a shotgun from behind and began concentrating fire onto the two women.
As John was now at the school entrance, he stopped upon hearing the gunshots and saw Jesse and Caitlin rush behind the van for cover. This was his cue. He wasn't out in the open, and he was closer to the school. It was just time to get the damn thing's attention.
"Hey!" John waved his hands back and forth. The machine didn't seem to react to his shouting. He needed a different approach. "It's me! John Connor!"
That surely got the terminator's attention. The machine stopped and looked at John before dropping his shotgun and began to stalk towards Jonn.
If all wasn't as bad as it seemed, the machine turning from slowly stalking to a full blow sprint was even more terrifying. John immediately turned and ran into the school building and down the halls with the machine closely pursuing, getting closer and down closer to him. He ran with all of his might. Finding the cafeteria was quite difficult, especially at night. At this point, he felt like he was running in circles.
Soon he began to feel his chest burning and his breath becoming heavy. He couldn't take much of this for too much longer.
As John came around a bend, he lucky found the lunch room doors, and immediately busted through, almost slipping as the result. The lights were luckily on, and water covered about a half inch of the floor, which meant that whatever Jane Henry and Oliver had planned was ready.
Right behind him the machine was already through the doors and targeted John who slowly backed away. This was it. John felt for a table right behind him and slowly climbed on, until his feet were no longer touching the water, and were instead on the plastic tabletop.
"Now!" John shouted.
On the opposite table across the room, Oliver drew an arrow and aimed at the machine's feet. The arrow flew across the room and embedded itself in the leg of the machine, causing it to jolt erratically before falling back onto the wet floor. John and Oliver got off the tables just in time for Jane Henry to come rushing out from the kitchen with a toaster plugged into an extension cord.
"I found something that will work-" Jane Henry stopped when she looked down to see the terminator laying on the floor. "Oh…. I don't understand why we had five minutes, and six seconds to cover this room with water, but it only took two minutes, 25 seconds for you to come in here."
"We need to act quickly," John announced. "There are 120 seconds before the system reboots. I need a knife."
Jane Henry looked around for anything for John to use. So far, there was nothing except for the kitchen having such utensils. She instead opted for taking an arrow from Oliver's quiver and handed it to John. "Here you go."
"Thanks." John accepted and took the arrow. Oliver glared daggers at Jane Henry who in which smiled gleefully in response. John began to cut into the terminator's scalp until he saw the port seal. Taking the time to lodge the arrowhead into the small crevice of the seal, Jane Henry spoke.
"Did you say 120 seconds until the system reboots?" Jane Henry asked.
"Yes." John nodded. "Can't you like go back and remember every conversation?"
"Yes." Jane Henry nodded. "I just didn't know how to tell you that it has already been 115.4 seconds."
John dropped the arrow and looked back at the cyborg with confusion. "Wait, what?"
"119.6 Seconds- Oh maybe you should back away." John did so, and sure enough, the machine's eyes shot open and it sat up.
Oliver immediately shot an arrow at the machine. However, like the last time, the machine didn't react. He pulled the arrow away from his chest and stood onto his feet. "Jane, you better enact what I taught you!" Oliver shouted.
"I don't want to kill him." Jane Henry hesitated. "James Ellison taught me that all life is sacred."
"Forget what he said!" John shouted.
"If you don't do anything, it will kill you instead!" Oliver too encouraged. Never did he think that he'd be here trying to get a machine to follow his orders.
"Okay." Jane reluctantly complied. She got into position right in front of the two and confronted the terminator head on. "I'm sorry." Jane Henry threw a punch at the machine, successfully colliding with its metal jaw, and knocking it back slightly. Jane Henry smirked at her display of strength and closed in for another attack. However, the machine predicted Jane's attack and immediately went on the defensive and caught her incoming fist.
She yelped as the machine grabbed her entire forearm and swung her around and tossed her into one of the nearby tables, causing it to explode into a million pieces. Instead of continuing to terminate John, the machine went for Jane Henry once more and grabbed her by the shirt, and threw her again, this time, into a nearby wall. Her body weight caused her to be embedded into the bricks, and the machine sprinted at her through the wall, and into the school hallways.
This was getting out of hand. Oliver ran to the rescue and shot a bolas arrow at the terminator's feet, causing it to stumble and fall to the ground. That gave Jane Henry enough time to recover and get back onto her feet, just in time for the machine to rip the rope off of his feet and get back up.
Jane Henry took the offense again, and struck the machine's head with a side whip kick, followed up by locking the terminator into a choke hold. The machine reached for Jane Henry and threw a punch into her abdomen. She was confused as to why he attempted such a strike when she didn't breath. She even wondered why she had him in a chokehold when he probably didn't either. She decided to let him go and shoved the machine into one of the lockers.
As the machine turned around, he didn't expect to see Jane Henry come sprinting at him, with her using the opposite side lockers as a platform for her to wall run off of before doing a mid-air jump kick to the machines face. In turn, he went flying further down the hallway. As she stalked down the hallway, she was interrupted by Caitlin speaking over the comms channel.
"Jane Henry. We have a new plan. If you can decapitate the triple eight, we can successfully remove its chip without any interference."
"How do you want me to do that?" Jane Henry asked.
"Theoretically, you are much stronger than a T-888, so if you can overpower it, then you can rip off its head, disconnecting it from the body, and rendering it immobile."
"Ellison told me to preserve all life. If I do that I am taking its life away."
"It's either you or it, Metal!"
Jane Henry was shocked to hear Jesse yell over the comms channel, but took that into consideration. She had to do what was necessary. She knew James Ellison wouldn't be happy to hear that she ripped off a terminators head.
With the terminator already back on its feet, she took a running start and again, started sprinting at the terminator, and it to her, as almost two freight trains were about to crash into each other. Soon the two collided, and both grabbed each other by the shoulders. The tile floor underneath them began to crack under pressure, and their feet slowly sinking in. The machine whirled Jane Henry around and used it's right foot to kick Jane Henry into the nearby library window, where she softly landed on the checkout counter.
The machine jumped through the broken window, and grabbed Jane Henry by the collar and swiped her body across the countertop, wiping all contents off along with her as the terminator let her slide onto the floor.
The machine didn't relent. He did not allow Jane to get onto her feet anymore, and kelt down in front of her, and began landing punch after punch on her face, successfully ripping bits of her skin off as the result. With her metal skull exposed, the machine calculated a weak point in a T-950's endoskeleton. The machine pulled out a handgun from the back of its leather pants, and aimed at Jane Henry's right eye, and began to lightly squeeze the trigger.
Everything within Jane Henry's mind went by in a millisecond. Everything from her creation, to Cameron's memories that were locked away. How could something do this? Take a life like this machine was about to do? It was her evil brother's creation and it was about to kill her and far as she knew.
As the trigger was pulled, the gun suddenly was swooped away by an arrow redirecting the gunfire onto the carpet floor only a few centimeters away from Jane Henry's head.
The machine jolted and looked behind and saw the man holding a bow, aiming another arrow at him and releasing. The projectile exploded into smaller arrows and all embedded themselves in his chest. With the machine distracted by Oliver, Jane Henry crawled out from underneath the machine and towards a nearby metal bookshelf that read science fiction. She swiped all books off and grabbed the shelf, and ripped it off the wall. She ran at the machine and smacked it across its face, causing it to immediately fall to the ground where she was just at. She then used the shelf and turned it on its rigid end and slammed the piece of metal down in the terminator's neck in one, strong, swift blow.
The machine's head popped off like a beer cap, and rolled away slowly, as the glowing in its eyes began to fade away, and went dim.
"Good job, Jane Henry. Guess you're a fighter after all." Oliver smirked.
"Thank you." Jane Henry acknowledged. She tossed the head at Oliver, who caught it, and grimaced at the fact that he was holding a severed head. It was only a terminator head and not a real one, but still a head nonetheless.
John ran in with Jesse and Caitlin following and had a concerned expression. "We need to go. The police are on their way."
"Alright." Oliver accepted. "Jane, grab the body. We need to leave zero traces of what happened here." He then turned to Jesse. He was surprised at the fact that she was here, and even more so that she had had a gun and hadn't aimed it at him. "Jesse, Caitlin, get the van ready." Giving John the Terminator's head, Oliver spoke once more. "We need to move, people."
Earth 716: San Diego, California, February 5, 2008: (Team Flash)
If anything never made sense, these last few days surely took the cake. Only learning that your existence- everything around you isn't special. You are part an alternate universe where your very own life was a form of entertainment, didn't sit well in her stomach. The mere thought of almost anyone knowing about her private life was just too much. Your existence is one of many possibilities, and she wasn't sure if she was ready to accept that. Hell, even coming to terms with machines being real took her a while to take in. But this… this whole reality she lived in. What ways to say what else lingered out there in the extended universe? If there was one that could come here, then surely there was another, right?
Now Barry… he was a different story. A man who had the capabilities to run faster than almost anything in the world. How would she even begin to explain something like that? Science was never her strong suit, but it had to be impossible for him to be able to accomplish such a feat. He was impossible, the reason for them being here was impossible. Everything just shot out at her like a speeding bullet, and that scared her even more.
Luckily she made him sit in the back with Cisco and Felicity.
They have had been driving for hours, but finally made it. It was some warehouse located just outside of San Diego. It was strange, really. Where almost every corner was all sun and palm trees, this place had an eerie and ominous feel to it.
"So this must be it," Derek mentioned. He too thought what Sarah was thinking, and felt that same feeling she felt. If there was anything in this city, this warehouse definitely would have what they were looking for. The truck came to a stop, right outside the gate, and everyone piled out, where they all took in location.
"It's always the bad guys that pick the scary warehouses," Cisco muttered to himself.
Felicity diverted her attention from the structure and looked down at her tablet, where she immediately connected to the areas Internet. To say the very least, she was surprised by what she found. "There is definitely a strong signal coming from inside."
"Then this place has to be it." Sarah agreed. She looked around and accounted the people who accompanied her and Derek, and gave a head count. There was Cisco, Felicity, and… she looked one more time, trying to find the other person, but came up blank. "Where the hell is Barry?"
Suddenly an audible woosh whirled around her, and as soon as she blinked, Barry was already standing next to Cisco.
She clenched her fists, and her face turned red. "How many times have I told you to stop doing that!?"
"Six?" Barry confirmed, to which the fiery woman took a predatory step forward. He stepped back and rose his hands in surrender. "Okay, okay, I'm sorry."
She also noticed that he was yet again wearing his brightly colored scarlet suit again. "Take off that ridiculous costume."
"For your information, this suit is heat resistant, and has a thin layer of Kevlar," Barry explained exasperatedly. "If there is a gun-wielding cyborg in there, then I kinda want to keep this on."
"Unless the metal has a pea shooter, then that won't do anything. I suggest you do as she says, speedy." Derek then strongly suggested.
Barry rolled his eyes but accepted and quickly changed back into his casual clothes. "Happy?"
Everyone nodded in response.
"So is there any guards around the place?" Cisco inquired.
"No." Barry shook his head. "This place is definitely abandoned by the looks of it. But the inside appears to be very well in stock with crates and other items."
Derek checked his gun and placed it back into his jeans. "Then let's not waste any time."
Both he and Sarah loaded up their weapons into a duffle bag and checked for fresh ammo in their clips, and magazines. It was better to him over prepared and not need them than to be underprepared and definitely need them.
Once everyone was ready, Derek opened the gate, and the five slowly made their way inside the shipping yard and approached the warehouses front entrance. Everyone looked at each other and silently nodded in agreement. Derek and Barry opened the door, while Cisco and Felicity steered clear and hid just in case.
As the door was fully opened, Sarah sprung into action and was the first to have her gun trained on the place. As far as she could see, there was nothing. Yet. They would still need to be on their absolute guard just in case. "It's clear!"
Now having confirmation that it was safe, everyone cautiously walked inside and looked at the boxes and crates that littered every square inch, but neatly stacked upon each other.
"So this is where the coltan is being kept?" Derek inquired. The place didn't look like much, considering the structure appeared to look like it was about to crumble above them.
"This is the location I found in that guy's pocket." Barry nodded. "The coltan shipment should be around here somewhere."
"Well we better start looking because I don't see much from here," Derek suggested. Everyone nodded in agreement and all split up, and began to start searching for anything that would possibly contain the heat-resistant metal. Cisco and Felicity searched the up and down the left, while Sarah and Derek searched the right of the warehouse. Barry instead went lone wolf and took to searching the middle section of the building, that ultimately led to a stairwell. By the looks of it, there was an old office located just above. He had no luck downstairs, so he decided to check the upstairs office, and walked up the stairs.
Once inside the old office, he noticed his foot making creaking sounds as they came into contact with the floor, almost sounding as if he were going to fall through at any given moment.
What Barry was quite unusual. There was an old dark cherry wood desk. A lamp sat on top of it, and underneath it, there was a yellow folder. Again, he cautiously walked up to the desk and looked closely at the documents. He opened the envelope and took out its contents, and carefully looked them over. He was appalled at what he found. "Cyberdyne Systems?"
Before processing another thought, he heard mire creaking coming from behind him. Expecting either Cisco, Sarah, Derek, or Felicity, he turned around calmly, ready to inform them on what he found.
However, instead, there was a petite female looking at him with curiosity. She immediately swung her fist at him, but thanks to his super speed, he managed to run to the far side of the room. "Whoa, I'm not here to hurt you!"
"This is a restricted area." The girl responded with a flat tone.
"I got lost?" Barry shrugged.
The girl pulled a gun on Barry and fired off three shots. Luckily he was able to dodge them, and quickly disarmed the girl. "Look, I don't mean any harm! Can we just talk about this?"
"No."
What Barry saw that brought shivers down his spine were the fact that her eyes faintly glowed red. He immediately knew what she was, and understood why she was so hostile. He ran out of the room, making sure to grab the folder on the way out. He rushed over to where Sarah, Derek, Felicity, and Cisco were at, and joined them.
"Being a little too light on your feet, speedy?" Derek inquired confusingly.
"There's no time, I found documents you may want to see, but we have another problem," Barry explained hastily.
"Problem?" Everyone asked.
The door above them swung open, and they looked at the little blonde girl stalked down the stairwell, towards them. "A small problem."
Derek and Sarah noticed the way this girl walked, and immediately knew what she was. "Metal!" Derek shouted. He unholstered his gun and so did Sarah. Together, they both began to shoot the girl, who just shrugged the bullets off as if they were nothing.
The terminator withdrew her gun and began concentrating fire on five, forcing them all to flee for cover. Now sitting behind a few wooden crates, Cisco began hysterically laughing, which Sarah looked at the man in utter disbelief. "Why are you laughing!?"
"Because the machines can never hit anything unless the plot requires it," Cisco explained with a heartfelt snicker.
"Cisco, stop talking, and what do we do?" Felicity asked from across the two.
"I got this," Barry mentioned. Taking a deep breath, a yellow lightning bolt flashed in his eyes, and the whole room slowed down. Bullets were in midair, and he even noticed Sarah about to strangle Cisco. There was focusing on that now. He needed to take care of this terminator. He ran up to the female machine and stopped a few inches away from her. He vibrates his hand with such great speeds that his hand went straight through the machine's chest, where he pulled out her internal power core.
As time came back, the machines went limp and immediately fell to the ground in front of him, with a heavy metal thud being heard.
"Okay. You guys can come out now!" Barry called out. Everyone hesitantly peaked their heads over their places of cover and saw Barry holding the main power supply in his hands and the female machine on the ground in front of him. Everyone walked up to Barry and looked at the machine in curiosity.
"Now I wish I had super speed," Derek mumbled and put away his gun. He knelt down and pulled a knife from his back pocket and began cutting into its scalp.
"Good job, Barry." Felicity admired. "Oliver would have just shot it with arrows until it went down."
"Well on the bright side, we have a chip for Cameron," Sarah mentioned. She pulled out her phone and began dialing her son's number. "I'll call John and let him know that their search is done."
"I wouldn't give him so much hope," Derek spoke up. Everyone looked at him and saw that he pulled a charred terminator chip.
"What happened?" Barry asked, taking the chip from the soldier.
"Crap!" Cisco exclaimed and snatched the chip from Barry. "In the show, Skynet started implanting a self-destruct feature on the chips when they were exposed to air."
"Why would it do that?" Sarah asked.
"So your son can't reprogram any," Cisco explained simply. "Having a terminator army before Judgement Day will put pressure on Skynet so they want to stop John from learning to at all costs."
"Well since the chip is singed, guess we can't exactly find out why it was here, now can we?" Derek pointed out. He was surprised to see Barry shake his head and waved around the documents he wound up with, in the office. "What is that?"
Sarah took the folder from Barry and began to look at its contents. "Cyberdyne!?"
"The old computer factory?" Derek inquired.
"That's impossible! After Miles' death, the whole company went bankrupt. It was chewed up by other corporations but it no longer exists."
"What is the date?" Felicity then asked.
Sarah searched for a proper date, finding a chilling answer. "February 2nd, 2008. This was only a few days ago." She closed the document, and stomped around in circles, trying to calm herself. "Sonofabitch!"
"What does it say, Sarah?" Derek pressed.
"The government is rebuilding Skynet!"
"How can you be so sure?" Derek then asked.
"Cyberdyne," Sarah said simply. "They acquired copies of Miles' research and are requesting coltan for construction of their own military controlled terminators."
"You said that you destroyed everything. All of his work," Derek mentioned. "How can there still be copies?"
"Well, I didn't know there would be copies, okay!?" Sarah hissed. "There must have been backup servers, or something in another compound before we destroyed its headquarters."
"Is there a location?" Felicity asked. "Anywhere that mentions where Skynet is being built?"
Sarah scanned through the folders until looking back up at the blonde techie. "No. It only mentions an Eobard Thawne being the head of the project." Both Barry's and Cisco's eyes went wide, and they both looked at each other. "What is it?"
"Eobard Thawne? Are you sure?" Barry asked.
"That's what the document says." Sarah acknowledged. She handed the folder back to Barry whom carefully looked over it with Cisco. "Do you know who he is?"
"He's from our earth. He's a speedster like Barry, but evil." Cisco explained.
"Well, maybe it's not the same guy?" Derek nonchalantly mentioned. "Maybe he has the same name but isn't your speedster buddy."
"This has to be a coincidence, right?" Felicity inquired timidly. "Didn't Thawne die when the wormhole formed in Central City?"
"That's what happened." Cisco nodded. "But he did somehow come back." Everyone looked at one another in confusion as to what Cisco explained. "How is this possible?"
"I don't know." Barry shrugged. His face turned pale as he looked at the name closely. "Thawne, how are you alive?"
Suddenly everyone heard clapping from behind. They all looked and saw a face that was a bit too recognizable.
"It's quite interesting really."
Earth 1: Central City, August 14, 2015: (Team Canary)
The door finally gave and went crashing down. The machine walked through and aimed his gun at the last heat signature his sensors picked up before the shutters closed. They weren't here, however.
Even Cameron Phillips was absent. Why was she acting so cowardly? The Cameron he encountered in the future was far more incompetent and would never flee from a fight.
There was a hallway that did lead further into the building. He walked down it until he came up to an elevator. He entered inside it and pressed the button before ascending upwards.
Meanwhile, back in the Star Labs cortex, Iris looked closely at the monitor, watching as the machine was riding the elevator up. "Guys, he's coming!" Harry ran over from Summer and looked at the monitor alongside Iris. He typed on the control console and the whole building went dim. "Why did you do that?"
"I turned off the building's power," Harry explained. "That should keep him locked in there until help arrives."
"And do what besides trap him?" Iris exclaimed. "Trap us too?"
"Iris is right," Joe agreed with his daughter. "There is no other way out other than the elevator."
"Thank you, Harrison Wells, for such a poor building design." Laurel huffed. In return, Harry looked at Laurel with a frown. "Not you!"
"We need to destroy this thing." Summer spoke up.
"Ms. Glau, I'm sorry, but we can't." Joe shook his head in disagreement. "We'll all die."
"Well staying here isn't going to do us much better, is it, Detective?"
Joe had to admit that he was stunned. This woman was very incompetent. She seemed very brave at times. "What do you suggest then, Summer?"
"Okay so in the show, electrocuting was what we mainly did to 'incapacitate them, but I'm not sure what will happen if we do it to a real one."
"What if we severe it's head from its body?" Laurel asked.
"Or remove its power cell?" Harry then suggested unsure.
"Either may work. But I'm sure as hell am not baiting again." Summer demanded. "Being shot hurts."
Everyone looked at Harry as a smile appeared on his face. "I have a plan."
"No offense, Harry, but your plans suck." Iris opinionatedly stated.
"This one might work, though!" Harry shouted in exasperation. "Just follow my lead, okay!?" Everyone reluctantly accepted and did what Harry was doing, as he began to overturn tables and bookcases.
•••
It was dark inside the elevator. There must have been a power surge because as he was about to pry his way out through the top of the elevator, the lights suddenly came back on and the lift began ascending up again. Soon, the elevator came to a halt and the doors slid open. The main corridor ahead of him was dark. But he could still see, given that he immediately switched to night vision. He continued to silently stalk through the hall's until he came into the cortex. There was nothing he could see. He switched through multiple forms of vision until he caught the heat signatures of the five individuals hiding behind cover.
The lights suddenly switched back on, and his vision immediately went blurry.
"Now!" Laurel shouted. Everyone popped up from their places of cover and began concentrating fire onto the visually impaired machine. Each blast it took from Summer's cold gun, and Harry's laser Mercury Lab's weapon had begun to tear through the terminator's skin like a hot knife through butter until all they could see on its chest was the glistening metal breastplate.
"Holy shit, It actually is a terminator!" Summer exclaimed in absolute horror and astonishment.
The machine fell onto its knees as the increasing damage being inflicted onto his endoskeleton was becoming more erratic. He wouldn't survive much longer like this. It was time to initiate his contingency plan.
The machine grabbed a grenade from its pocket and undid the pin before tossing at the group. Joe, who immediately saw the weapon, dropped his gun and looked at his teammates. "Get down!"
*KABOOM!*
The building shook, and due to the tight space, smoke engulfed the entire room. The machine stood up and limped its way towards Summer who was coughing nonstop. The machine grabbed her by the hair and hoisted her up.
"Where is John Connor?" The machine asked in a metallic tone.
"I-I'm not Cameron you idiot!" Summer spat. "I'm human!"
The machine looked at Summer closely. She did indeed display a pulse and was quite cowardly. She was telling the truth. "Then you are of no use to me." The machine stated. He withdrew a handgun from his holster and aimed at the woman, and began to squeeze the trigger.
A loud, high pitched scream, followed by a gunshot, rang throughout the whole room. It was silent for a moment before everyone slowly looked up, trying to see through the smoke. Iris and Harry were the first to stand up, where Harry helped up Joe. They all saw Laurel holding Summer in her lap and the machine impaled by a support beam.
"Oh my God!" Iris screamed and rushed over to Laurel. "Is she okay?" she asked with concern.
"It was just a graze, but the shock knocked her unconscious," Laurel reassured. Iris sighed in complete relief and helped Laurel help the young actress up. Getting her into the next room was their first priority. That and airing out the room before cleaning out the mess that this terminator caused. Both Harry and Joe walked over to the machine and inspect it closely. Its inner power core was ripped out and was lying on the floor a few feet away.
"What happened?" Joe asked in confusion. He heard the gunshot. There was no way that the blast caused this. This machine's gun was nowhere to be found.
Harry simply looked at the two woman aid Summer. "I think I have a general idea of what happened."
•••
Slowly, she came back to conciseness. Her eyes slowly opened and she had a clear view of the ceiling above. Looking at her surroundings, she saw Laurel sitting in a chair next to, whom which gave her a gleeful smile.
"Hey."
"Hey," Summer smiled back. She touched the side of her face, and felt a bandage on the side of her right cheek, and winced slightly. "Ow! So I have a sprained wrist and a cut?"
"Guess you do." Laurel chuckled. "I'm sorry for the pain in all of this." She then added with sorrow.
"I'll live." Summer assured. "Thank you for saving me. Who knows where I'll be if it weren't for you and your friends."
Laurel returned the smile until Summer got off of the hospital bed. "Hey, hey, hey, you should be resting!"
"I'm fine. Really." Summer insisted. "I can walk, remember. It's just my wrist and getting shot being my injuries." Although Laurel didn't like it, she accepted and helped the woman onto her feet. She led Summer out into the cortex where Iris, Harry, and Joe were cleaning up the debris and had the inactive terminator laid out in the middle of the room.
"Good to see you up and walking again, Ms. Glau." Joe acknowledged delightfully.
"As long as I can go home now, I'll be fine." Summer chuckled.
"As soon as we're done here, I'll take you back to National City, personally," Joe explained. He went back to work, helping Harry move a support beam out of the way of the Flash suit mannequin display.
Summer curiously walked over to the inactive terminator body and closely examined it. Laurel noticed the chills that the woman had, and stood by her, reassuringly putting her hand on her shoulder. "You okay?"
"Yeah…. Just can't believe these things are real."
"Same." Laurel agreed. "Just yesterday, me and Harry, and Iris were watching your show. Never did we expect to be fighting one."
Summer looked away from the terminator, and at Laurel with a serious expression. "I want the truth. Where did this thing come from?"
"Summer-"
"Tell me!" Summer demanded.
Laurel hesitated, until looking at Iris, Joe, and Harry who stopped what they were doing and looked at the two upon hearing Summer's loud tone of voice. "This... the machine is from… a different universe."
Surprisingly, Summer didn't break out in laughter. She instead looked at the machine and nodded with acception. "I guess that explains it."
"You believe us?" Laurel asked with complete disbelief.
"Yeah?" Summer nodded slowly. "I mean, if the Flash exists, then it's not entirely impossible, right?"
"Right. I'm just surprised you believe us so easily." Laurel explained.
"You guys haven't lied to me before. So far, all of you have told me the truth. Well except for this being the Flashes base, but you were just trying to keep me safe. Who knows what would have happened if you let me walk out of that door."
"Well, I'm glad you stayed Summer." Iris smile and gave the woman a hug. "It was amazing to meet you and fight machines together."
"It-it was." Summer smiled with a slight cough.
"I'll get you some water, Ms. Glau," Joe announced and walked out of the cortex.
"So, Summer," Harry spoke up. "I'm sorry for coming across as weird before."
"Don't worry about it, Harry." Summer assured. "I'm glad you did warn me before anything crazy happened."
"By the way," Harry asked once more. "I did lose those autographed pictures, so you think you could resign them?"
"Uhh, sure," Summer shrugged in acceptance. "Just give me a pen and what you want signed, and I'll make something for all of you."
"Here you go." Harry almost immediately said, holding a marker and the season one disc that he stole from Cisco. Summer was surprised with how quick he came prepared but happily took the disc and began to sign her name with the marker.
After a minute, Joe came walking back into the cortex, holding the cup of water for Summer. "Alright, I got your water, and we should be heading out soon-"
Joe stopped what he was doing when he saw something maybe a bit too familiar. The liquid from Summer's water cup rose out of the cup abnormally, and when be looked back up at the four, he saw what he thought was a ghost. The man in the yellow suit, holding Summer by the arm.
The Reverse Flash.
Before he could even react, Joe watched in horror as Summer, along with Laurel, Harry, and his daughter be taken right before his very eyes.
"No!"
There was no use. They were already gone and he stood in the exact same place as the silence grew more and more. Barry was gone, and so was the Green Arrow. There was no one to call for help. He was on his own. His daughter and friends were taken away right before his very eyes.

Authors Note: More Cliffhangers, I know. But they are pretty fun to see their outcomes so why not? I apologize for taking so long to update this. I had to deal with some personal business and hadn't had a lot of time to write. And when I did I was only really updating my main story so this one was more or less a second thought.
But alas, here you go and I hope you enjoyed this chapter and are excited for the next. If you're not then too bad I guess because I still have a lot planned for this story!
Reviews and constructive criticism is gladly appreciated and highly encouraged! I like to see you're responses and opinions about what went through your mind after reading!
