As I promised another chapter! I don't own Rurouni Kenshin!

Screams of terror echoed as Kaoru made her way to the upper room cutting down any and every one in her way. One of the rotting corpses informed her where to find Tomeo and Akira. In return she'd make his death quick.

When she finally reached the room it was empty. Flying out the room she screamed in frustration. No one was allowed here but her. Since she was a part of the head family she could drench the grass in blood if she wished.

The only thing she wanted was to kill the bitch that took her love away. Instead she was playing hide n seek as if this was a game. If they wanted to play then it would be to the death.

Hiko

Hearing her scream Hiko ran to the main hall. Looking up he saw Ruka. No Kaoru Ruka's daughter. Seeing her reason for distress he figured the girl was losing her mind. That is until she addressed him.

"What did you do with them?"

"What?"

"That bitch that had Kenshin killed where she is?"

"If I had seen Tomeo I would have brought you her head."

"You may have been Kenshin's master but if you take her death from me. I will kill you."

Hiko smiled at the young woman before him. Death by Kaoru's sword was the only way for him to die. Any other way would dishonor him. Until she took his life Hiko would help her find Tomeo and kill anyone else in their way.

"You have my word Blue Rose."

Sanosuke Sangara

He watched as Megumi slept. Sano had once again chosen this woman over his family. There wasn't much he could do but with Yahiko's help he could set one thing right. The kid was right he should have been there for her.

Kaoru was his sister and best friend. Even though he only brought more pain and death to her. She still didn't kill him. Not many could say the same. He owed her his first born if he was going to be honest.

It was time the rooster helped out in the hen house.

Enishi

Enishi overheard his sister's conversation with her husband. Yes he had to agree his sister had a thing for using people. To get to the top some people had to die while other were put under your thumb.

Entering the room he almost killed Akira. Though he could care less about his life Tomeo truly loved him. There was nothing he wouldn't do to keep his sister happy. If that meant keeping her husband by her side then so be it.

"She has yet to make it to our floor but we must move quickly. Come sister we will move out the back."

Without another word they moved keeping in mind that they only had to live till the sun rise. While there was nothing they could do this night in the morning they would find who brought the Blue Rose here.

After they would announce this as an act of war and rise to power. In theory it was simple enough but putting into practice was another story. They still didn't know if it was a one woman army or if the Blue Rose had help.

Either way they were on their toes and on the run. The morning couldn't come soon enough.

Kaoru

Everything in the house was dead. None of the dead was the one person she wanted most of all. Tomeo had somehow slipped out into the night. In a few hours the sun would rise all of this would have been for nothing.

Her beloved was stilled dead and his killer still alive. Kaoru's anger was slowly eating her up inside. You'd think killing over a hundred people would have worn her anger away from her. Instead the fact that she didn't kill her prey increased her anger into rage.

Calling to Hiko she asked him to fight her until she couldn't lift her sword. If she didn't tire herself out then she'd kill go on another rampage. This time kill anything that moved.

That wasn't the person she was. Turning into a monster would only take away the life she wished to have with Kenshin. The more time and effort she put into killing that Tomeo the less she saw of that future.

Drawing her sword she prayed the old man could keep up.

Aoshi

Misao kissed her lover knowing today may be there last. Kaoru had not returned to them. While that could have meant she was too tired to do so. There also was the possibility that she was dead or didn't kill Tomeo.

With her alive they would have to go to war. Aoshi sat for the longest time deep in thought. Something was nagging at him for the longest. There had to be a reason Kaoru was still of interest and it couldn't be because she was Ruka's daughter.

Technically there was nothing keeping Kaour's family in power. So why did hadn't there been a meeting naming another head family. Today instead of making threats of war they would find someone answers.

With his man made up he turned to see his he had a visitor.
