Gaara glanced at the contestant besides him; Uchiha, Sasuke. He seemed quite powerful, and Gaara was looking forward to the challenge. Awkward dread, excitement, and devilish anger built up in his gut, slowly rising to his throat. Pushing it down, he closed his eyes. He couldn't risk fighting yet. The plan had to move forward.
"Uchiha, Sasuke. Subaku no Gaara. Please take your place here in the arena!"
Gaara smirked. He would get to tear this boy... This boy most likely weakling(compared to him) apart. He'd been interested in him before, but that was before he knew Naruto as much stronger- despite his first appearance.
"Good luck, Sasuke-kun," his pink haired teammate said.
Gaara began to make his way down the stairs, he heard Sasuke's footsteps grow faint for a second. He glanced up to see Naruto grab Sasuke's shoulder. "Be careful, Sasuke. Good luck."
Naruto released his shoulders, and the two trudged down the stairwells. This battle would be fun. Gaara knew it would be. Mother would get blood... Shukaku, the sand demon would get the blood of the Uchiha boy. Then maybe Shukaku would let him sleep. Just maybe the bloodlust would stop. Just maybe...
Gaara felt a faint stare from Sasuke as they entered the arena and stood before the Procter.
Genma
Genma glanced at Gaara, remembering the talk of a red-haired boy who nearly killed a boy after Hayate called the battle off. He dearly wished that it didn't happen again during this match. "Begin!"
Sasuke jumped and did a backflip before skidding away from Gaara; putting some distance between them. Activating his sharingan, Genma watched as Gaara shot bolts of sand towards Sasuke.
Jumping up, Sasuke jumped over the first, before ducking under another and sliding to the left for the next. Sprinting towards Gaara he threw kunai at him before kicking away a the last bit of sand.
Gaara glanced at the kunai and put up a ball of shield around him. An explosion from a paper bomb blasted through the sand but hardly. Gaara smirked and formed an eyeball with sand outside of his shield. Genma stared at it. It was creepy.
Sasuke ran forward when a wave of sand appeared before him. Jumping over it, he threw more kunai and shuriken at Gaara's shield when suddenly, something caught his ankle. Hanging upside down Sasuke looked at a hand of sand holding him. Squirming, Sasuke tried to get out when it started waving him all over the arena around, smacking him against trees and the ground.
Channeling Chakra into his feet, he twisted his body smacking the sand holding his ankle and then twisted again during the fall to destroy the handpiece of the justu all together. Genma could hear Gaara snickering creepily from inside the ball of sand.
Sasuke did quick hand signs and lightning started to pour out of his hand. Blue, visible chakra chirped like hundreds of thousands of birds were all singing together in the arena.
Minato
"I see you taught Sasuke Chidori, Kakashi..."
Kakashi chuckled, recalling all the training Sasuke had put into it while Minato had been teaching Naruto the Rasengan. "Yes... It works well for him; with the sharingan I mean."
Minato glanced back at the battle, Sasuke dashing toward Gaara's ball dodging sand bullets after sand bullets with the extra speed given from the justu. "Lightening when it strikes sand makes glass you know..."
A dreaded, bloody scream echoed through the stadium, and everyone could see it wasn't Sasuke.
"G-GAARA!" The sand siblings leaned over the railings to see what was happening, both horrified and freaked.
Sasuke pulled his arm away, blood and a few small shards of glass in his arm; nothing too bad. For Sasuke at least. The sand crumbled halfway and much of the audience could see Gaara. Not only did Sasuke pierce Gaara's shield, but his sand armor on him as well. Sand just drifted away in the wind and a sadistic, psychotic red-head just stared in horror. "WHAT IS THIS...!"
Blood dripped from Gaara's side, and all over his arm and hand trying from trying to prevent the attack from Sasuke. A few shards of glass also stuck in his skin. Gaara's hand started to shake uncontrollably. "Blood... Blood... Mother want's the Uchiha's blood...!"
The audience felt a chill in the air, and Kankuro and Temari shivered in fear. "Nono... Not yet Gaara..." Kankuro muttered.
"Kankuro! Look at him! He's insane! You're worried about that? A jinchuriki rampage is much worse! He's never bled before!" Temari shuddered, eyes wide. "First he gets injured... Now he bleeds... What type of Ninja does Konohagakure train...? Much stronger ones than in the Sand! We can't fight them!" Grabbing into Kankuro she clung to her younger brother forgetting her pride for a mere minute in terror.
"The Winner of this match is Uchiha Sasuke!"
Minato glanced at the Sand Siblings nearby. Something was up... Flashing down to Gaara, he put a suppression seal on him, before teleporting them both to Baki, Gaara's sensei. "Take him before he tries to hurt someone else again."
"Blood... Blood... I want his blood..." Minato looked at Gaara; who still seemed to be in his emotional phases caused by Shukaku.
