Digimon: Digidestenies Chapter 4: The Town of Citysville, a digimon fanfic

The Arukenimon's house was pretty homie, the walls were a pale blue and all the furniture and decorations were in the color hues of purple and blue. Chester and Lucas had placed Sapphire on a purple couch and Lopmon and Gaomon were sitting down by her feet. The digimon told the Arukenimon what had happened and about the dark ring and she became frantic.

"Oh dearest me! I'm so sorry! Here, I'll get home hot cocoa for the digimon! Do humans eat chicken soup?" She asked

"Yeah, we do." Replied Kimberly

"Then I'll go make some! I have a first aid kit in the bathroom. Please! Make yourselves at home! It the very least I can do!" She skittered her way into the kitchen before yelling, "Again, so sorry!"

"Well, she seems nice enough. I'm glad we got her out of Malomyotismon's control." Said Lunamon. Renamon went to fetch the first aid kit

"What do you mean? She put webbing on my mouth!" Yelled Hailey

"I mean, I'm pretty sure anyone would do that to you." Said Bearmon

"ExCUSE me?" Yelled Hailey

"Guys shut up." Commanded Lucas, "Sapphire needs to rest." Renamon came back and handed the kit to Lucas.

"You know what your doing there Lucas?" Asked Kimberly

"Kimberly, Sapphire is asleep and actually has very minor injuries, it's not that hard to treat." Said Kudamon

"Kuamon's right. Besides, my little brother and some of the younger kids I help teach swim have gotten into their fair share of injuries. Plus, as a lifeguard they teach you these basic things."

"Wowie! Thats pretty neat!" Exclaimed Gomamon. Kimberly put on an annoyed face.

Lucas put bandages on her arms and legs along with a roller bandage on her head. That's when the short girl started to stirr.

"Mmm, what?" She mumbled half awake.

"Sapphire! How are you feeling?" Asked Gaomon

"Hmmmm, boy that was a wicked ass nap." She chuckled a bit.

"She's fine." Gilly and Richie concluded.

"The hell happened? Where are we?" Sapphire asked as she sat up and looked around the room.

"You know that Arukenimon we were fighting? Yeah, she demolished you, Gaomon digivolved, broke the dark ring, and the spider woman is taking care of us now." Richie explained quickly.

"Oh...WAIT GAOMON DID WHAT." Sapphire looked at her digimon partner

"Yeah, what the heck was that? It was cool." Asked Kimberly

"He digivolved! That means he went to his next form to get stronger!" Said Lopmon

"Yeah! We all are currently at rookie level, then there's champion, ultimate, then finally mega." Continued Gomamon

"But we can't stay in those forms, it drains our energy so we have to turn back to rookie as soon as we see it is safe." Finished Kudamon

"You mean Gaomon did some awesome cool thing and I missed it? Awww!" Yelled Sapphire in distress

"I have one last question," Started Gilly, "Gaomon, like, changed his name when he digivolved, Gaogamon I think? What's that about?"

"Our different forms have different names too." Explained Gaomon

"Ughhhhh, more memorizing? It's enough I have to learn about all you people!" Hailey groaned as the others gave her death stares. Dexter had to stop Bearmon from going and clawing her. Hailey turned to Lunamon, "Right Lunamon?" Lunamon squirmed uncomfortably in a small stool she found on the floor.

"I'm back!" Arukenimon came back with two platters that had a bowl of soup and some hot cocoa mugs, "Oh you're awake! How wonderful! I made you some soup, and I made hot cocoa for everyone!" She set the platter down and handed Sapphire the soup. As the digimon and digidestined passed around platter and got their hot cocoa, Arukenimon sat on the floor by tucking her eight lower legs under herself. "Oh! Darling, do you want some cocoa too?"

Sapphire, in the middle of eating, quickly swallowed. "Oh! No thank you! The soup is fine."

"Well, thank you so much Arukenimon, but we can't stay long. We have to get to the Digimon Town nearby so we have to leave in a bit." Said Lucas

Arukenimon's friendly smile fell as she looked concerned and looked around concerned, "I don't know if that's a good idea."

"What? Why? That town is my hometown! It's not bad at all." Said Lopmon

"Well, there are recent movements that are making the town anti-human." Arukenimon stated earning concerned looks from the humans and a surprised look from Lopmon

"There are anti-human movements? We're the only humans that have stepped foot in the Digital World." Said Chester

"Oh yeah, the Digital World is basically the internet so they know all about are web trends and crap." Sapphire said remembering her conversation with Gaomon

"All of them?" Asked Richie, slightly worried

"Even the dark web." Said Bearmon, sipping his hot cocoa calmly.

"Okay, I can see why they have them now." Said Richie

"But the Town of Citysville isn't anti-human!" Yelled Lopmon

"Whoa whoa whoa, pause. The Town of Citysville? That's what this place is called?" Asked Gilly

"Yeah? So what?" Asked Lopmon

"Nehhh…" Gilly tried to make a sentence, but ultimately gave up, and drank her cocoa

"But yeah, it's not anti-human, I've been gone for a week!"

"When you left, some weird digimon came to town and made their, apparently compelling, argument." Explained Arukenimon

"Ah trust me, it's not that hard to make that argument." Said Richie

"You are not helping." Said Lunamon

"But it's true! I know a ton of humans that are just plain annoying, don't listen, and are just super selfish!" Yelled Hailey

"And there's exhibit A." Said Richie pointing at a slightly offended Hailey

"Yeah, actually, Hailey, when we get to the town, just don't say anything." Requested Kimberly. Hailey rolled her eyes, and put up her middle finger.

"Can I punch her? Can I PLEAAASE punch her?" Asked Bearmon

"H-how about we d-don't start fighting?" Said Renamon quietly

"Yeah guys, this isn't the time to start in fighting." Said Lucas. He set down his empty mug, sat up, and turned to Arukenimon, "Thank you mam for having us, but we really should go."

Arukenimon smiled, "Of course, I understand. I hope you all stay safe! I'm always here if you need me! It helps that house is just on the outskirts of the town. Oh, don't worry about cleaning up! I got it."

"Thank you thank you so much!" Said Sapphire happily.

The group said their goodbyes and thank yous to Arukenimon, and made their way to the town, with Lopmon leading the way. Arukenimon was right that it was close to her house, the group were on the top of a hill and could see the town down below. It was relatively big. The group could clearly see wide, grey brick laiden roads that mark entrances to the city and continue through towards a large clearing that had a fountain at the center. Most of the buildings were two story and seemed very traditional with brown-red bricks and flat, grey roofs.

"And there's a motel further into the town! Nice place huh?" Said Lopmon proudly

"Yeah, its cute!" Said Kimberly

"I'm just worried about what Arukenimon said." Lamented Gaomon

"Aw come on, she was nice and all but she was probably exaggerating. Besides, there worries will be vanquished once the meet you guys!" Said Lopmon with confidence

"Oh that reminds me." Said Bearmon, "Hailey, you gotta keep shut."

"You wanna fight you living floor rug?" Yelled Hailey. The girl and bear growled at each other. Renamon held back Bearmon while Chester handled Hailey

"Hailey, please don't do this!" Lunamon pleaded

"Guys, knock it off!" Yelled Lucas, "You both need to keep it together okay? We want to make a good impression."

"Yeah." Richie continued, "We don't want them to kick us out the moment we step into town."

Hailey and Bearmon huffed as Bearmon walked towards a flustered Dexter to stand by his side. The group finally started walking towards the town. As they walked through trying to find the motel Lopmon was talking about, they started to get stares from the towns-digimon. Some stares were bewildered while others were flatout scared.

"I don't like all these digimon staring at me." Dexter said quietly

"Hah! This is what I'm used to." Hailey said as she started strutting

"Hailey, manners." Lunamon reminded her. Hailey sighed and started walking normally

"Don't worry! They are probably wondering why the heck there are humans here." Lopmon reassured in a shaky voice.

"You sound worried." Said Emily

"I'm fiiiiiine." Lopmon said, voice squeaking

"That sure is reassuring." Commented Gilly

"Hey! Stop!" Yelled a deep , male voice behind the group. The digidestined turned around to find a white, bipedal, hedgehog like creature that was no bigger than the other digimon partners, with the exception of Renamon. It's spikes were silver with the tips are yellow. He had a yellow arrow below its eyes. It also had a yellow, three pointed star on it's stomach and its claws, both hand and feet, were a pastel red. He had a quivering smile and his hand were clasped together. "Welcome to the Town of CItysville. I am the mayor, Herissmon." He slowly held out his hand

The group instinctively looked at Lucas for the first move. He walks towards the small creature and shook his hand. The interaction had actually attracted a crowd who gasped at the interaction.

"Hello sir, I'm Lucas, and these are my friends."

"Hello Herissmon!" Lopmon said, hopping towards him, "It's nice to see you!"

"Aw yes, hello Lopmon." Herissmon said. He quickly brushed her off though, "So, , may I ask why you and your friends in our fine town?"

"Well sir, we needed a place to stay and Lopmon said her hometown was close by and a nice place." Lucas' statement caused murmurs and quiet talk among the crowd.

"Ah yes, well for how long?"

"Umm, pfff." He turned back to his fellow humans. Kimberly shrugged, Gilly was calm, Hailey was uninterested, and the others were just bewildered and confused. Lucas turned back to the mayor, "We actually didn't get that far. I unfortunately do not know how long."

"Um." Herissmon stuttered, "Yes well-" the crowd started to act up

"They're trying to invade!"

"They want to hurt us!"

"They want to abuse our powers!"

"They're going to take over! First our town, then the digital world!"

Yells filled the air, causing the humans, digimon, and even Herissmon to get concerned or agitated. "Citizens! Citizens! Please stay calm!" yelled Herissmon. The crowd started to quiet down

"Yeah!" Lopmon stood up for her new friends, "These humans are great, and they are going to save the Digital World, not take it over! They are the digidestined!" This caused the crowds to start yelling at them more. "Huh? Guys, we have known the digidestined would be humans for a long time."

"Actually, your wrong." Said another voice. The crowd parted a bit so a human-like digimon could fly through. He had short, wavy, bleach blonde hair and eight angel wings. He had a pair of small wings on his had and a white toga that exposed half of his chest. He had purple marks all over his body and golden rings on his ankles and wrists. He carried a binder under his arm.

"Ah! Lucemon!" Herissmon said happily as we walked over to the angel digimon, "Yes! Please explain to the young digimon about the new information!"

"Young?" Lopmon said in annoyance, "I'm 117!"

This caused the humans to look at Lopmon in surprise. "Yeah, I forgot to mention the digimon age thing is way different." Sapphire said quietly

"Well, little rabbit digimon," Lucemon started as he took out his binder filled with papers in the folders and pages in the rings. "Me and my association have actually made more discoveries within the digimon prophecy and have discovered missing parts of the story." He flipped through the pages and found a page, "Yes, it actually says that the digidestined are a group of nine digimon and the darkness to the world is actually the invasion of humans. Our research has also concluded that the dark rings were man-made as well. It only makes sense." He now started to address the crowd, "I mean, we all have heard the stories! The stupid fights they start, the anger and sheer lack of common sense they have. They fight and debate each other while not listening to each other thus imploding in their own stubbornness. Some have a sheer lack of understanding and refused to listen to cold, hard facts! They are trying to invade us, and then we'll have to take on their problems!"

This caused the crowd to cheer, some even started the chant "Kick out the humans! Kick out the humans!"

"Well, this is unfortunate." Said Gilly

" I think we should be a bit more concerned then that." Said Elecmon

"Um, may I say something?" Asked Kimberly, the crown quieting down again

Lucemon shrugged, "I don't see why not, I mean, we outnumber you anyway so whatever shenanigans you pull won't cause much." He gestured for KImberly to start, "Please, go ahead."

Kimberly smiled, "Well, I noticed that you never stated the name of your association, just simply calling it the "association." Also, your story is vague, you say you found more parts of the prophecy that tell more about the whole story. Can you please show us the information?"

"Ah yes! I am with the Digital University for Friendship and Fortitude!"

Kimberly thought about it for a moment, "...DUFF?" It took all the power the others had to not burst out laughing in such a serious situation.

"We have found special ancient scrolls that actually describe more of the prophecy to us. In fact, they are missing parts. Humans aren't going to save us, they are the reason for our downfall! Myotismon is working with them, and nine digimon are going to save the Digital world." Lucemon slammed the book close, "As the Digital World is for digimon." With that note, the digimon crowd cheered and some sneered at the humans once more.

"Yes, well, with that I have to ask that you humans leave." Said Herrismon

"Bruh, why you gotta be like this." Asked Gilly

"Well if they have to leave, then I do to!" Yelled Lopmon

"See! Look!" Yelled Lucemon, "They have mind controlled these poor digimon to be on their side! They probably have dark rings hidden somewhere. We have to run them out before they start to attack us!"

The digimon crowd yelled and started to march towards the Digidestined.

"What! No!" Yelled Lopmon, "Please, this is all wrong!"

The yelling got louder, some of the digimon started charging up their powers. "Yes! Run them out of town!" Yelled the Lucemon. He pointed at the group as a gust of wind started blowing through causing Dexter to see something.

"There's, there's a-" He spoke too quietly for anyone to hear, but Hailey noticed.

"Come on you idiot! We're gonna die anyway might as well say your last words!" She commanded

"HE HAS A DARK RING!" Dexter yelled surprising everyone. The town was at a standstill as Dexter pointed his finger out. There, on Lucemon was a small ring on the top arch of his ear.

"Oh." Lucemon started to sweat nervously, "Thats-thats not a dark ring! No no no no. Its, it's just. Well. Um…"

"OOOOH! Exposed!" Yelled Bearmon. The crowd started murmuring.

"Is it true?"

"Oh my god!"

"What does this mean?"

"Have we been fooled?"
Lucemon looked around and saw his supporters starting to become skeptical. "Ha!" Started Lopmon, "You can't fool the Digidestined that easily!"

Lucemon stared at the eighteen newcomers and became filled with anger. "You fools! You ruined everything!" His eyes became white and a dark grey fog enveloped him.

"Oh, this escalated quickly." Said Sapphire

The fog got bigger and bigger and cleared to reveal a large man with long, blond hair. Half of his eight wings were white and the other half were black. He had white boots and gloves and his body clothes were black. He had red markings all over his face.

"Face the wrath of Lucemon: Chaos mode!" Lucemon yelled.

"You see, this is why we shouldn't trust people named after satan." said Richie

The towns people started to panic as Lucemon started punching the ground near the Digidestined and destroying the road.

"Gilly, Renamon, Chester, Salamon, Dexter, Bearmon, Kimberly, Kudamon, you guys help keep the citizens safe and under control. Everyone else, focus on taking down Lucemon!"

"Gaomon! How do I digivolve you?" yelled Sapphire

"Just raise your digivice and yell 'Gaomon, digivolve!"

Sapphire took out the black device from her pocket and held it up, "Gaomon! Digivolve!"

A black light enveloped Gaomon once more, "Gaomon digivolve too…" The light became bigger and revealed, "GAOGAMON!"

Sapphire stood in shock, "...Oh HELL yeah!" Sapphire got on top of Gaogamon, "Lets go boy!" Gaogamon sprinted towards the angel digimon.

"Dash claw!" Gaogamon used one of his scarf claws to scratch Lucemon across the body.

"Tear shot!"

"Super thunder strike!"

"Karate fist!"

All the fighting digimon launched their attacks at Lucemon while their digidestined made sure leftover digimon got out of the square and into the safety of the digidestined and digimon in charge of helping the townspeople. Kimberly was about to run off with the fleeing digimon but felt a tug on her coat. She turned and saw a worried Lopmon.

"Please, if you find my parents make sure you take care of them! They're the only other Lopmon in town!" Lopmon said

Kimberly was about to say something but was interrupted by Kudamon, "Lopmon, if that's the case, isn't that your parents right there?" Kudamon pointed, unfortunately, towards the battle. Two scared Lopmon were stuck between some debris in the panic of the fight.

"Mom! Dad!" Lopmon ran towards them but was cut off by Lucemon falling in front on her due to Gaogamon and Bearmon tackling him.

Emily ran up next to Lopmon, "What's going on?"

"My parents are stuck in all this madness!" Lopmon started to tear up, "Malomyotismon's evil has already started destroying my town, my family, my everything."

Emily wiped Lopmon's tears and said sternly, "Hey, hey, listen to me. You are a digidestined digimon. You are going to be the reason that stuff like this won't happen to the rest of the world, for BOTH our worlds. We are going to fricken destroy this Lucemon idiot and save your parents, ot it?"

Lopmon wiped off one more tear and Lopmon nodded, "Let's do this."

"Yeah!" With that, Emily's digivice started glowing purple, "Oh. OOOH." Lopmon became enveloped in a purple light. "OH HOLY SHOOT!"

"Lopmon, digivolve too…" From the light, Emily could see Lopmon's arms and legs grow longer along with the rest of her body so Lopmon was now the height of Emily herself. Her brown fur became a lilac purple and her pink fur became white. Yellow baggy clothes appeared on her, tied at the waist with a black leather belt. She wore a blue neck bandana and red boxing gloves. "...TURUIEMON!"

"YES! YES!" Yelled Emily in excitement

Turuiemon picked up Emily and had her ride on her back, "Lets go." Turuiemon dashed forward towards her frightened parents. "Mom! Dad!"

"Loppy?" Yelled out the mother. Turuiemon jumped forward and quickly grabbed her parents by the scruff.

"Take them over to me!" Yelled Gilly as Renamon hit away some debris coming at them.

Turuiemon ran towards the two girls and dropped off her parents. "Oh, my little Loppy! Is that really you?" Asked the father

Turuiemon gave them a thumbs up, "Yup, I'll be happy to catch up with you guys later, but I gotta go take down a demon." With that, Emily and her digimon were off to face Lucemon head on.

"AAAAAAAAAAAA!" Sapphire yelled. She and Gaogamon were currently caught in one of Lucemon's large fists while the others tried to get them loose.

"Gauntlet claw!" Turuiemon yelled as she leapt towards the dark angel. Spikes quickly sprang out of her gloves as she hit Lucemon's fist first then quickly ran and hit his face. Sapphire and Gaogamon were set free.

"Whoooo! We got another digivolution!" Yelled Chester from the side lines.

"Way to join the party guys!" Yelled Sapphire as she and Gaogamon landed

"Damn it!" Yelled Lucemon through the hand covering his face

"Come on guys, one attack all together now!" Yelled Lucas

"Digimon, Attack!" Screamed the digidestined

"Gauntlet claw!"

"Happy Paw!"

"Dash claw!"

"Tear Shot!"

"Super thunder strike!"

"Karate fist!"

"Holy Shot!"

"Diamond Storm!"

As all the attacks hit Lucemon, he was in so much pain he couldn't do anything but just stand there and scream in agony.

Turuiemon hopped up towards his chest. "ONE LAST PUNCH!" She and Emily yelled in unison as Turuiemon's paw made hard contact with Lucemon's body. He gave one last yell until his body dissolved into little pixels before they blew off into the wind.

"Well," started Kimberly through pants, "that was, interesting."

"WE DID IT! HELL YEAH!" Yelled Sapphire

"Sapphire, the fight's over, bring the sound level back down." Said Gaogamon as he turned back into Gaomon

"Sorry."

"My-my dearest apologies!" Started Herrismon running up to the group from one of the buildings he was taking refuge in. "Obviously we had been fooled by that dastardly digimon!" The towns people also started to come out of hiding and nodded their heads in agreement with the mayor.

"It was no problem sir. But, I did try to tell you about them." Said Turuiemon half-jokingly.

Just then, Turuiemon's parents ran up to the tall rabbit. "Loppy! My little girl!" They both yelled. They had to hop up in order to reach Turuiemon's arms to give her a hug, which she happily returned.

"I missed you mom and dad! I'm so glad you're okay!"

"So…" Emily said as she got off Turuiemon's back and walked towards her side, "You gonna introduce me or what?"

"Oh, yes. Mom, dad, this is my Digidestined: Emily."

The mom went up to shake the girl's hand (which emily had to bend down for), "Thank you! Thank you so much!"

"It's no problem at all. Your daughter is pretty amazing!"

"Ah yes!" Interrupted Herrismon, "I will set up a dinner for tonight for our great Digidestined guardians! Introductions can be done then and, of course, Mr and are invited." He turned towards Lucas, "You all may stay here as long as you like."

"Like YEAH we will. I-" Hailey was cut off by Richie putting a hand over her mouth.
