Chapter 4
Ginny saw Malfoy twice more that day. When he went to lunch and when he left for the day. Both times he winked at her and Ginny had never felt more scandalized in her life. She tried talking to Harry and Ron about his becoming an Auror, but they told her she was being whiny and sent her on her way. She never thought that she would hear the words Malfoy and changed in the same sentence; especially from Harry and her brother. She figured if they could forgive Malfoy than she should too. She spent all day trying to remember ever having a single conversation with him back in school and she came up dry. He never messed with her the way he did The Trio.
She was brought back to reality when a paper plane landed on her desk. The message was a surprise, that's for sure.
Ginevra,
Meet me downstairs in the training rooms in five minutes.
Yours,
DM
Ginny squinted her eyes as she read the letter three or four more times. What could he possibly want? she thought. She glanced at her watch and saw that it was indeed quitting time, so she gathered her things and made her way swiftly to the lifts.

I hope she comes, I hope she comes, I hope she comes, Draco repeated his new mantra to himself as he waited and waited for the redheaded beauty to meet him. He kept one eye trained on the lifts and his other on his watch. She wasn't coming, he knew it. It had been ten minutes. Ten painful, rejection-filling minutes. He turned around to load onto an empty lift to go home and he came face-to-face with the most beautiful girl he had ever seen. She came.
