no because why am I so excited to write more of this story!

I know the chapters aren't long but it helps me make more consistent updates

When Lucy opened her eyes after a restful sleep, her hand went straight to her lips, still muddled in the sensation of Natsu's kisses.

Of course she let him kiss her, he was so soft and sincere with his ask that she'd never be able to refuse him. Lucy was sure she'd always have a hard time telling him no when it felt so good just being at his side.

Since they had the opportunity to be alone, why not take advantage of the moment? She wanted nothing more than to be the center of his attention, craving the heat he emitted with every touch.

He shielded her from the growing cold, neither bothering to pay attention to how subtly the moon moved. Lucy wasn't sure how long they stayed lip locked, but it wasn't enough to satisfy her want for him.

She remembered the way his hands felt in her hair, gently cupping the base of her neck, fingers tangling and tugging.

He moaned when his tongue slid against hers; she would never forget the sound, the audible vibration rising from his throat to grace her. His greediness that he spoke of claiming every purse of her lips, the sensation of his teeth biting her still present.

If Lucy closed her eyes she could feel the heat that radiated off of him, warmth so thick she could almost feel it slipping into her stomach.

He was honest with every touch, but she could feel him holding back. His fingers twitched as if wanting to roam elsewhere on her person, her own nervously never crossing past his shoulders. Any time she crooned when her back went deeper into the wall he stopped himself, readjusting the inclination he had; to do what, she wished he shared.

It was decadent and provoking, every nibble on her lips, every stroke of his tongue. Natsu was alluring and bewitching, crafting a cage around her with every second that passed. Her heart belonged to him, she would never doubt that simple fact. Did he know he was stealing every last part of her? Reaffirming every thought she'd ever had, that he was more than his cheerful smile and brawn. That in the addicting moonlight, he was a captivating siren destined to steal the hearts of unsuspecting girls.

Natsu was dangerous in a deliriously, euphoric way.

Her own selfish whimper came when Natsu finally pulled away, a salacious string of saliva connecting them momentarily.

He didn't go far, both panting while refusing to look anywhere but the others lips. He kissed her one last time and she melted, thoughts too dazed and pillowy to wonder what this night would mean for them.

His eyes, those eyes she finally managed to meet, left her breathless and ever so curious. Lucy would stand to recite everything she knew about Natsu from what the book shared, but most importantly that his eyes were the most gorgeous shade of emerald she had ever seen. Not too light, not too dark, much more dazzling than any gem that ever sat upon her collarbone. She could never find a fabric that suited the illustrations of him, past wishes of wanting to wear his color.

His pupils had narrowed into a shape that reminded her of a snake, reptilian and striking, almost tempting her back into his arms. Their color was still emerald closest to the center, but an indulgent gold was leaking in an attempt to swallow him whole.

She could see thin red scales that adorned his features, feeling them now as her hands slid down his arms. Oh, right, he was a…

Lucy stilled as Natsu leaned in again, instead choosing to rest his head on her shoulder, his breath tickling her nape.

"Luce," His voice was rough and low, riddling her skin with goosebumps. Her head spun as he placed another kiss there, right where her pulse was beating the fastest. "I'll see you at the guild,"

All she could do was nod, knowing that if she spoke, she'd only ask him to stay.

He took off after one last smile, the sound of his wings beating in the distance.

She fell asleep quickly once she laid down, wondering if his kisses were a fine replacement for a mug of warm milk.

Lucy could feel him with every step she took to get ready, knowing it was already about time for lunch. Her bath felt similarly warm to his touch, wondering if he held her, would it feel like this? A healthy splash of water on her face did nothing to drive her thoughts away.

When she combed her hair, she could feel his hands tilting her head and a kiss so deep that her knees wobbled in response.

Staring at herself in the mirror as she dressed only reminded her of him even more, of where his hands had been, how it felt to have his lips on her, his body against hers. Her lips were slightly puffed from his intensity, her tongue dragging along its curve to mimic the sensation of his.

"What's gotten into me?" Lucy held her face as she walked down the hallway. She was tainted by his memory, feeling forever trapped in his golden gaze. Dangerous could only begin to describe their relationship.

She followed the scent of warm bread and cooking meat, finding her way to the first floor, another hallway leading off from the lobby.

It opened into a larger room that some of the girls were lounging around in. Off toward the right was a comfortable seating area with pink couches and plush chairs, a coffee table in the center of them. They faced a large lacrima screen that projected a show Laki was watching with Kinana. Closer to the wall there were a couple of long tables in front of three bookshelves, Levy sitting at one while she sorted through a stack of papers.

The left half of the room was where the scent led her to, a large spread of food congregated upon the wider dinner table. It was a long style table that stretched across most of the room, wooden benches placed on either side for seating. There was a set of wooden swinging doors behind it that led to what Lucy assumed was the kitchen as Juvia came out carrying a basket of apples.

"Yaho, Lucy! Come sit with me!" Cana waved from her place at the table at the other end of the room. "You've been asleep this whole time? Last night must've really knocked you out!"

"It just took me a little longer to fall asleep," She shrugged with a light smile as she approached the brunette. "I'm a little used to having someone wake me up, if I'm being honest."

"Oh yeah? What were you in your home world? A princess?" Cana took a swig from the stein she was drinking from, raising an eyebrow in Lucy's direction.

"My father owned a railroad corporation," Lucy shook her head as she served herself something to eat, going for the fresh fruit and chocolate braided buns. "We just had a lot of people around to take care of the house."

"Oh, so a rich girl, huh? Sounds boring! You were probably always cooped up if you had people that even doing the waking up for you. I'd cry if I didn't have the freedom we get here,"

"It was pretty stifling," Lucy laughed, feeling a small ache of guilt at the mention of her home. Natsu had been all she was thinking about, so much so that she forgot to think about everyone she left behind. "I had a strict schedule most days, my father focused a lot on my education."

"Yikes, no wonder they wanted you to come here," Cana said as she took a bite out of the chicken leg on her plate.

"They?" Lucy asked as she popped a couple of grapes into her mouth.

"Master'll tell you about it later, don't worry. Most of us are born here, but some of you get stuck and Natsu or someone else'll go pick 'em up,"

"Natsu's not the only one?"

"Sometimes Gajeel or Laxus does, or there are other dragons in Crocus who do too,"

"For example, Gajeel is the one who brought Levy to us when we were kids," She shoved her thumb over her shoulder, Levy's nose stuffed deep into one of the books she was looking at.

"That's enough of the boring stuff," A familiar face threw Lucy a snakeish grin as she sat herself on top of the table.

"Oi, Evergreen, get yer ass off the table. I'm on cleaning duty today, I don't want to have to scrub your grime off the surface," Cana waved her hand, motioning for her to move, Evergreen ignored her and continued to stare Lucy down, taking out a burgundy fan to point suspectedly.

"Looks like someone made out with the dragon boy again,"

Choking on a bite of her bun, Lucy felt her skin burn under the multiple pairs of eyes that shot her way.

"Seriously?!"

"Ah, Juvia wants to know everything! How romantic!"

"What the hell! When did this happen?! You just sat here and didn't think to tell me anything?! That's what you start with when you enter a room of girls!"

"H-How did you know?!" Lucy coughed out as she finally managed to swallow the food stuck in her throat. Levy was somehow already by her side, pouring her a cup of water to help. The rest of the girls in the room and anyone else in the kitchen congregated around the table.

"My eyes can see everything," She smirked, flexing out her fan to wave toward herself. "So? Spill, none of us thought Natsu would ever find a girl interesting enough to kiss her,"

"Natsu…doesn't find girls interesting?" The blonde perked slightly at the tidbit of information Evergreen offered, everyone else quickly taking a seat.

"Never so much as looked at anyone as far as we could tell," Cana said first, everyone nodding in unison.

"Juvia thought he liked Lisanna-san for a little while but then she started dating Bickslow-san,"

"We've tried teasing him before, but he never really cared," Laki chimed in. "He always manages to get away from the table to have a brawl with Gray."

"Did he come to see you?" Levy asked, swallowing her own embarrassment. "I can't believe we even saw him kissing someone in the first place, he's so…well, he's Natsu!"

"He came to apologize for what happened last night," Lucy nodded, blushing under their gasps and interested expressions. "And…um, well…"

"You don't have to tell us anything if you don't want to!" Kinana stopped her from forcing out any other words. "It's enough to know he even went to see you, I can't believe it myself!"

"So what, are you two just makeout buddies? How did this even start? Who kissed who?"
