Screams and yells echoed through the air. Each silence shattering voice was accompanied by the steady drip of blood from the blade's edge. Astarte swayed slightly, her legs trembling. It was clear that she only remained standing because of the blade. Amaimon, snapping back to reality moved to her.

"Astarte! Keep still, I am going to pull it out!" He said. He grabbed the handle of the blade and yelped as it burned his hand. "It's blessed!"

"Blessed by the very hand of our Lord and saviour. The very same hand that cast your spiteful father out of heaven." A powerful voice called. They all stared as an angel landed before them. "And it is that same hand which will welcome Evening's Dawn back and vanquish this vile beast that wears her face." He added.

"Michael." Astarte managed to hiss, blood frothing on her lips. "Why are you here?"

"I am here to rid this world of you, and to return innocence to heaven. As a added bonus, I will be able to get rid of those two false gods that lurk in you." He said. He walked forward, shoving Amaimon out the way. He looked at the class. "Watch and see what your teacher truly is." He grabbed the blade and yanked it out, watching as she collapsed onto the ground.

As he stood over her, he failed to notice Kitsune moving over to Amaimon. "Sir, my Mistress is surrendering to Nocte. We must get her away. I will go get Cassie and the others." He said before running off. Amaimon watched briefly before turning back to Michael. The angel was looking at Astarte's wings.

"How dare you wear these vile imitations of her wings." He murmured. He grabbed her wings and pulled. Inhuman shrieks left Astarte, making the class grimace and shy away. He pulled, tearing muscle, sinew, skin and blood vessels. Soon, the bones were visible under the torn flesh. A horrific crack sounded through the air as the bones snapped. Michael chuckled and tossed the twitching wings away, letting them land at Samael's feet.

"That's enough Michael!" a female voice suddenly said. As Cassie, Ryan and Drake approached with Kitsune, Evening's Dawn appeared. "My grandsons are present. Your granddaughter is present. Please. Don't take my daughter away from her sons." She pleaded.

"But Nocte is already doing that isn't she?" Michael countered. "All because of him." He added, pointing at Samael. "The traitor who tore my son from heaven. The worm that took your daughter's heart and stamped on it. Evening's Dawn, you must see sense and return. Humanity needs you." He said.

"I know. But my daughter needs me as well. Especially after what she heard." Evening's Dawn said.

"What did she hear?" Amixtri said. Both angels turned to face the class.

"And who the hell is Nocte?" Ron demanded.

"You mean she didn't tell you?" Evening's Dawn said.

"Nocte is a vile creature. She lives within the thing. She is darkness and evil personified." Michael said. "And she has been eating at Astarte's control since hearing the truth. That he doesn't care about her or Sora. That she is just a stepping stone for his plan." He said.

Astarte hunched up on the ground. Sora moved over to her, Jen unable to hold him back.

"Mummy? Is he right? Does daddy not love us?" He sniffed, his eyes watering. Astarte looked at him sadly and went to hug her son when a spear embedded itself in her arm. She shrieked, pulling her arm back.

"Enough. I have wasted enough time as it is. Evening's Dawn, you will return to us and I will rid the realms of this monster forever." Michael snapped. He picked his blade up again and raised it above her.

"Michael don't!" Evening's Dawn yelled, trying to run forward. He stabbed the blade down. But rather than piercing flesh, it was blocked by purple flames and shadows. A dark chuckle resounded through the air. The darkness crawled up the blade.

"Oh, Michael. Poor, foolish Michael." the voice said. It was old, older than what Astarte should sound like. "You should have known I wouldn't surrender her that easily." Astarte's head raised to look at him, blood running down her cheeks. Every demon stared in horror. The class looked at one another.

"Who is that?" Emiko murmured.

"It's the bogeyman." Chikyuu cried.

"It's darkness incarnate. It's Nocte." Yukio gasped.
