Mudwater Hollow
"Okay, so where's the first spirit we need to find?" Ice asked the team.
"The Ancient Flashfin," Marlon said, "He's located in Mudwater Hollow. Kasumi, the Water Dragon, who's around Buck's age, asked about it and I mentioned it to her."
"Kasumi?" Colleen asked, confused, "Who is Kasumi?"
"She's a water Dragon," Buck said as he arrived on scene, annoyed, "Didn't Marlon mention it? Anyway, she doesn't like peppers, carrots, and she dislikes bugs, so be careful."
"I'll remember that," Colleen spoke, slightly suspicious of how much Buck knows about this female dragon.
"Let's just find the Ancient Flashfin, and fast, before Kaos corrupts it," Marlon said, as a select few of them left for Mudwater Hollow. The trip was rather quick, but uneventful.
"This is the place," Luna said, hands on her hips and looking around, "The home of the ancient Flashfin."
"Yeah, nice place, but I was expecting it to be taller," Flynn said, as they were flying toward the cove.
"Well, you're in luck. The Flashfin is right up ahead and oh no…." Roark groaned, as they arrived to see the ancient Flashfin. Malefor, however, was not meant to be there, as he seemed to be pouring gaseous darkness magic into the creature's mouth, corrupting it. And to make matters even worse, Malefor brought some of his Bat-Khan, "Guys we've got company."
"Bring it on," Flannery challenged, as she and Link combined powers for the Tornado flame attack, that roasted most of them. Soon after, they got looks from Drago, Ice, and Hsi Wu, "What, you didn't think Ventus and Shasta taught that trick to Ice and Chrissie, did you?"
"No, we did not, and in the issue of the volcano ceremony, I have more good news," Buck said cheerfully, "The Governors of the Arkeyan Sorcerer Empire have decided to eliminate Ice's evil bratty sister once and for all. They plan to move her to Chor Gum Prison."
"Didn't Queen Reina and Queen Rita rip her in half?" Link asked, confused.
"They did, but Adinda revived her using Porunga behind our backs as soon as they did that, before cleansing the Dragonballs again," Buck hissed, "Either way, they decided that moving her and those who dishonored our people to Chor Gum Prison is best."
"Chor Gum Prison? Isn't that the deepest, darkest, and most brutal prison built in the most hostile conditions in the underworld of Skylands?" Tessa asked.
"Yes, it is, but how do you know about it?" Buck asked.
"Because Luna and her team told me about it," Tessa said as they landed, "They said that Chor Gum Prison was created by the Original Gaia Arkeyan Governor and his team, with the help of the Eternal Earth Source, and it's the highest maximum-security Prison in the entire universe. Only the worst of the worst of those who dishonored the Arkeyan Sorcerer Empire are sent there for life."
"Let's hope we don't have to find out about it anytime soon," Ice spoke anxiously, as they continued their journey to find the ancient Flashfin.
On Dragon's Peak, Ramses was observing events, when Flavius showed up in person. The man had a very serious expression, something was up.
"Your Highness, we've got problems," Flavius said urgently, "I had a vision. I said that Cloudcracker Prison would be attacked and destroyed in the future."
"But that's impossible," Blaze said in shock, "Cloudcracker Prison is one of the most impenetrable prisons built in all of Skylands, and second only to Chor Gum Prison, which was built by the Arkeyan Empire. Nobody has been able to escape the prison."
"Blaze, you have a lot to learn about being a guardian," Cyril said, shaking his head, "Like nothing is impossible, and to be ready for anything."
"Indeed, Cyril," King Ramses said, turning his head to the shadows of the room, "Bonnie, Eureka, show yourselves."
"You called for us, your highness?" Eureka asked respectfully, carrying Bonnie on her back.
"You and Bonnie are to fly to Cloudcracker Prison and tell the warden to double the guards, double the weapons, and double everything," Ramses said, "Kaos does not get near that prison, and the villains held there do not get out."
"There are only eight trap masters, sir, but I can tell them to get some Core Skylanders to help protect the place," Bonnie said, "As for doubling everything else, sure."
"Then go."
Eureka and Bonnie left for Cloudcracker Prison to deliver the message, retreating out of the double doors. After the two were gone, the others in the room continued their conversation.
"King Ramses, are you sure we made the right choice sending Eureka and Bonnie?" Volteer asked, "You know how her relatives are sure to get if they find out about this."
"Calm down, Volteer," Cyril said, "Ramses knows what he's doing. Terrador would've gone, but he's teaching a class of Earth Dragons right now."
Volteer had to be content with that, settling back into his seat with a small sigh.
Meanwhile with the Swap Force, the JTeens and the Arkeyans they were currently traveling along Woodbridge Way. It was a rocky area, with wooden bridges that connected the many plateaus. It was also where they ran into some Shadowkhan. Fortunately, Chrissie was leading with Free Ranger, and Swarm as Skylanders of the Air Element were stronger in that area, and they had Link to help.
"I see the Flash Fin," Hsi Wu said, looking over to a distant plateau, "Just let me fly over there, and save him."
"Go right ahead," Flannery said, punching a ninja-khan off their current platform, "You and the Dragon Skylanders that can fly can distract the Bat Shadowkhan, long enough for us to get there."
The Sky Demon and the Dragon Skylanders, along with the flying Skylanders, went to lure away the Bat Shadowkhan that were guarding the Ancient Flash Fin. The Shadowkhan were making sure the Greebles, that were trying to evilize the Ancient Elemental, were doing the job.
"That should keep those Shadowkhan busy," Roark said, as the others made their way to Froghollow Fishin' Pond, where Skylanders of the Air Element were strong. The place looked like a giant fishing pond with a dock on either side.
The heroes then captured the piranhas, allowing them to form a bridge to cross over to Billy's Bend, which more or less resembled the other areas of the Mudwater Hollow so far. They ran into some more Shadowkhan, but they used their elements and their fighting skills and fought their way to Snagglescales Swamp. There another slew of new enemies awaited them in a swamp like area that had a cokd, a tube, and a life gate.
"These enemies are getting annoying," Link said angrily, as they sailed down the Quiet Sound on a tube, until they arrived Lazy Lock Isles which had more docks on stone islands next to a gate.
"What did you expect?" Rose said, equally irritated, as Ice led the attack with Hot Head and Blast Zone. This was since Skylanders of the Fire Element were stronger in the areas, as Flannery went to go get the Gear for the Lock. She returned with it and placed it in the lock to open the gates, allowing the group to return to the boat and sail downstream.
"Next time I say I want to play hero, please slap me upside the head," Hsi Wu spoke, as they were running interference and fighting off the Bat Shadowkhan.
"Don't worry, we will," Sonic Boom, a griffin, said candidly, using her sonic screech to fight off the Shadowkhan, while Spyro used his fire breath to roast some of them.
"We can discuss this later," Spyro spoke seriously, "We've got work to do."
The other flying Skylanders continued doing just that, as they continued fighting off the Shadowkhan. While they looked outmatched, they weren't trying to defeat them, they were merely trying to reduce their numbers.
"At last," Marlon said, as they were near the Ancient Flash Fin, "Let's go save him."
"We need to destroy the crystals first," Kasumi said, "If we split up and take one crystal, we'll save him."
The heroes followed Kasumi's advice, and destroyed each of the crystals, freeing the ancient Flash Fin.
The Flash Fin then teleported back to Woodburrow, safe from Kaos' reach.
"That's one Elemental down," Rose said, sighing with relief, "Let's get back to Woodburrow."
The others nodded, as Rose and Sara teleported back to Woodburrow, where to their surprise, Emperor Drake was there.
"Excellent work everyone," Drake said proudly, "Thanks to your efforts, the Ancient Flashfin is safe, and his power has returned to Woodburrow. Follow me to the Docks. A friend of ours is waiting."
The group followed the Emperor to the Docks, where the Chieftess was waiting alongside Master Eon's floating head. They seemed to have been waiting for a while, mildly anxious to see their friends.
"Good work, Portal Masters, you and the Skylanders have done well," Eon said, smiling, "Now is the time for you to take the next step."
"How?" Chrissie asked, curious.
"Just as your Skylanders can grow stronger, you too can grow stronger," Eon said, as the Chieftess spoke up.
"Tessa and Snagglescale think they might have a clue as to where those terrible evilizer devices are coming from," the Chieftess said.
"Then let's go see them at once," Cody said, determined, "Once we stop them, we'll be one step closer to saving the elementals."
The team nodded as they headed out to find Tessa at once.
