Albus' POV.

Letters to My Brown Eyed Beauty

Chapter Twenty Five

"C'mon you lazy asses; time to get up!"

A groan was emitted from the tired boy sleeping under the duvet. He quickly buried his head in the pillow, attempting to block out the voice of Amy Scarlett. She was sprouting a fresh look and was eager to hear the opinions of the two most important boys in her life. Despite them getting in late, she looked well rested and extremely excited for the day's events.

"Are you prats getting up?"

"Are they not up yet Amy?"

"Al, please, get up."

Amelia, Dominique and Rose.

Albus Potter peeked an eye open and looked around as he noticed Dominque calling Amelia 'Amy'. He pushed the pillow off him, rolling on to his back and sitting up. Scorpius was already faster than him, sitting straight up already.

"Amy?"

Amy smirks, "Get up fat ass!"

Green eyes trailed her lips, thinking about the forbidden events of last night. He couldn't believe he'd kissed her and that he hadn't told Scorpius yet. He knew he was going to get into a lot of trouble, but it was worth it.

There was something different about Amy but Albus was half asleep and couldn't work it out. He chalked it up to their kiss last night – it must've been as good for her as it was for him.

"Did you just call me fat," asked Scorpius, in mock-disbelief.

Amy hums and nods, "Yep."

As if on a cue, the two of them ran out of the room, laughter ringing down the hallway and flashes of blonde hair flowing in the back. Albus sat up and chuckled, "They're a pair, aren't they?"

Albus had never been that close to his own sister, Lily, and he wondered if that had a lot to do with the fact that they were two years apart instead of one. This year was the longest Scorpius and Amy had spent together in one given sitting. They looked closer and happier than ever – Albus felt himself a tiny bit bitter about the fact he could never have that relationship with his own sister.

Things were just too different for them.

He would always have Lily's back, but he couldn't talk to her the way Scorpius talked to Amy.

Rose smiled, "Are they always like that?"

Albus furrowed his eyebrows, confused as to why Rose seemed genuinely okay with having Amy around. He wondered how much she knew about what was actually going on. He thought he was the only one who knew about the two kids being siblings. He also thought Rose couldn't stand the poor girl. She must've known something – something more than she let on.

'Maybe Scorpius just told her Amy is there to stay and she just has to accept it,' he thought for a moment as he chose his words carefully, for they could have dire consequences for everybody involved.

"Earth to Al," comes Dom's voice and Albus shook his head in response, "Yeah?"

"You zoned out cousin," commented Rose. With a shrug, Albus spoke once more, "I'm just thinking," he mumbled to himself. He was doing a lot of that these days he realised.

"Okay, well you can think while you're getting dressed," clipped Dominque with a smirk. "You only have ten minutes and then you have to be down stairs to help us set up."

Albus raised an eyebrow as her words registered inside of his mind. "What do you mean 'set up'?" He asked with a hint of fear. He didn't enjoy setting up, not even for a moment.

"Victoire and Teddy's wedding is in four and a half hours! Go take a shower!"

"Okay, okay, I'm going," he retorted back, flying out of the bed in a rush.

"That wasn't a suggestion; it's an order," Dominique said, smirking. There was a moment of silence before she spoke once more. "Why don't you wear clothes to bed, Al?" She asked, trying to look anywhere but at her cousin. A deep, scarlet red found it's way onto his cheeks. He looked down with wide eyes, realising he was only wearing his green boxers. They were the comfiest material but probably not the best around his family.

"Every male sleeps like this," he shrugged with a smirk of his own. "If they don't, then I bet they're self-conscious of their weight."

With a snort, Rose spoke up this time instead. "That was rather nice of you," she said with sarcasm lacing every word beautifully.

"Whatever, just get out!"

Albus pushed his two cousins out of the room.

"Whatever!"

The chorus came from the two redheads as they rolled their eyes on their way out.
