Filipinagirl04 - Kazuo is usually the male version of Kagome, but in this case, he is an OC. Souta is still in there and will appear briefly in this chapter and will have a more extended appearance along with Mrs. Higurashi and their grandpa.

Chapter Two: Going Back To The Feudal Era

Souta sat silently at the table eating his Donburi as he watched as his two heroes eat their lunch which consisted of Oden for Kagome and Soba for Kazuo while they joked around with their mother and grandfather.

Even though he could see the smiles on their faces, he could tell that they were putting on an act. He didn't know why but sometimes it felt like he knew them better than their mother and grandfather did.

He smiled at something his mom said. While he wondered what happens on the other side of the well, he knew it was something they could handle.

They finished lunch and Kagome, and Kazuo got everything they needed before saying their goodbyes and jumping into the well.

Appearing on the other side of the well, Kazuo climbed up the later before helping Kagome up the rest of the way. He smiled softly at her as they made their way through Inuyasha's forest to Kaede's village.

Not long after walking they see Inuyasha jump down from a tree in front of them. "What are you two doing back early? Usually, I have to drag you both back." Inuyasha asked them both.

"We can't come back early?" Kagome asked raising her eyebrow. "You don't wanna see your precious Kagome earlier than planned?" Kazuo teased him with a grin on his face. He tried not to laugh when both Kagome and Inuyasha both blushed a beet red and Inuyasha stumbling to try and deny his accusations.

Chuckling softly when Inuyasha finally figured out he was messing with him, he watched as Inuyasha crossed his arms and turned his head with a feh as usual. "We came home because we have something to tell everyone," Kazuo said.

Inuyasha stared at him for a while before fehing and walking the rest of the way with them. Silently he wondered what could be so important that they had to come back early.

"Hey, guys!" Kazuo called out with a smile as he walked in. He held the screen up for Kagome as she walked in. He smiled and caught Shippo when he jumped on him.

"You're back! Did you bring me anything?" Shippo asked with a grin as he looked up at his uncle. "We did, your mom has everyone's stuff," Kazuo said letting him down. He watched him run over to her and smiled, and she hugged him happily, and he started to tell her everything that happened while they were gone.

He grabbed the bag from her while she was doing that and started passing out snacks and other stuff to everyone.

"Lollipops, chocolate, coloring books, and crayons for Shippo. Mochi, chocolate, cookies, a brush, and for Sango. Chips, pocky, magazines and ink for Miroku. Catnip treats and new toys for Kilala. Chips, soda, and pocky for Inuyasha. And more medicine for Kaede." Kazuo said as he passed everything out. He heard everyone say thank you, well Inuyasha said something keen to a thank you, he nodded and sat in his usual spot.

"Are you two going to tell us why you're back early now?" Inuyasha demanded. Kazuo looked at Kagome, and she sighed before telling everyone what happened at the grocery store while passing out the books.

After passing out the books, Kagome and Kazuo watched as everyone looked over their books. Kazuo had Sesshomaru, Rin, Koga, and Ayame's books still inside of the drawstring backpack.

"Where did you say you got these books from again?" Miroku asked tearing his eyes away from the back of his back to look questionably between Kagome and Kazuo.

"A man gave them to me," Kagome answered him. "And you have no idea who this man is?" Sango asked her this time. "No, but he knew who I was," Kagome answered looking at her. Kagome glared at Inuyasha when she heard him snort. "That's the stupidest thing I've ever heard. Why would you accept something from a man you don't even know?" Inuyasha said gruffly as he crossed his arms. "I told you in the story, it felt like the bag's mine." She huffed.

"But to vanish into thin air, maybe he was a demon?" Kaede suggested. "That makes it even worse!" Inuyasha yelled.

"I thought there weren't any demons in your time?" Shippo asked as he ate one of his lollipops. "We haven't sensed any, but they could be hiding their auras or too far away from us after all Tokyo is a large city," Kazuo said.

Kaede nodded and looked at everyone's book's from her spot when she caught sight of Kagome's and Kazuo's. "It appears that the back of ye's books holds a small piece of them," Kaede said as everyone looked again at the back of their books.

"Then why is Bankotsu on Kazuo's and Midoriko on Kagome's?" Sango asked. "Maybe they're their reincarnations?" Shippo suggested. Inuyasha snorted in the corner. "Kazuo does look similar to Bankotsu," Miroku said with a thoughtful look on his face.

"Even if that was the case there is no way a weakling like Kagome would be Midoriko's reincarnation. I have a hard time believing she's even Kikyo's reincarnation! She's nothing like how Kikyo was!" Inuyasha said missing Kagome start to shake along with Sango and Kazuo sending him death glares.

Kagome took a deep breath trying to calm down. "Moving on, I think it would be a good idea to give Sesshomaru, Koga, Rin, and Ayame their books." She suggested while looking to see what everyone's reaction would be. She smiled when everyone agreed but frowned when she heard Inuyasha speak up.

"There is no way in hell we're going to find that mangy wolf or my bastard half-brother!" Inuyasha yelled jumping to his feet glaring down at her.

"It's only fair Inuyasha; we have ours. They should be able to have theirs too!" Kagome said glaring back at him.

"Listen here wench-"

"Sit boy!"

The rest of the Inutachi sighed and shook their heads as Inuyasha was slammed into the ground.
