Chapter Four:
Miroku's eyes widened. "Ar-Are you sure?" Miroku asked him shocked. 'Naraku murdered their murder...but how?! How could Naraku murder their mother when they're from the future.' He wondered.
"I don't know how he did it for sure; I can only assume he used his part of the jewel. But not only do I plan to find out, but I also plan on stopping it from happening. I figured it hadn't happened yet in this time and if we can get to Naraku before it happens, then I can prevent it from ever happening. My dad will be alive, and Souta can grow up knowing who he is." Kazuo said looking down at the end.
Miroku gently touched his shoulder causing Kazuo to look at him. "We'll defeat Naraku, save your father and avenge our loved ones," Miroku said with a soft smile.
Kazuo smiled back. "Thanks."
"You two ladies done bonding?!" Inuyasha called out to them. "We're setting up for the night!"
Neither one of them had noticed that not only were they not in the forest but they had also stopped walking.
Shaking their heads, they caught up with the rest of the group and helped set up camp for the night.
Kagome cooked ramen noodles while she and Sango talked. Miroku leaned against a tree while he thought of a way to grope Sango without getting hit. Inuyasha was sitting above him in the tree branches as usual. Shippo was sitting next to Kilala coloring.
Kazuo stretched a little as he settled against his tree before picking up his book. He had been wondering what was in the books and now seemed like the best time to see. Opening the book he got comfortable and started to read.
It was an early Friday morning, a young mother laid exhausted from the events that had taken place the night before. Looking up at her husband she smiled lovingly as she gazed into his warm blue eyes. She could see the pride shining in them as they looked down at her.
"You did it." She heard him say softly. She shook her head. "No, we did it." She smiled and looked at the two precious bundles of joys they had brought into the world.
"What should we name them?" She asked him softly as he carefully handed her the baby wrapped in pink. She watched her husband make a pensive face. "How about Kazuo and Kagome?" He suggested sitting next to her.
"Those are great names Kiyoshi." She smiled down at the babies.
"Welcome to the world Kazuo and Kagome Higurashi." She said softly and smiled when they both opened their eyes and looked up at her. Their blue eyes just like their fathers staring up at them curiously.
Kazuo dropped the book shocked at what he had just read.
