Chapter Five

"What's wrong Zuo?" Kagome asked him worriedly.

Kazuo wordlessly handed her his book and indicated for her to read it.

Kagome looked at him before looking the rest of the gang curiously but read it.

"What does it say Okaasan?" Shippo asked her.

"It... it's the day Zuo, and I were born." Kagome said looking at everyone just as shocked asKazuo.

"How is that possible?" Miroku asked them.

"I... I don't know. What do your guy's books say?" Kazuo asked them.

"How about we read them out loud starting from Kazuo going to Sango, me, Shippo, and then Inuyasha," Miroku suggested seeing everyone nod he looked to Kazuo so that he could reread what he read.

Kagome sighed before opening her book to a random page. There was no reason for her to read the first page since she was sure it was going to be the same as Kazuo's.

Five-year-old Kagome looked up at her parents wondering why she had to go to school. She didn't want to be there; she wanted her parents to be there with her.She looked at Kazuo who was sluggishly walking beside her. He looked tired and judged from the look on his face he wanted to go home.

They stopped in front of the classroom, and Kiyoshi bent down so that he was the same height as them. "You two are going to love school. You're going to make lots of friends." He said with a soft smile.

Kagome saw Kazuo frown while she put on a fake smile for their father. They both knew they wouldn't make any friends because of their eyes. It was the same with the neighbor's kid. He had refused to play with them and called them freaks.

Kunlun kissed both of them on top of their heads. "I love you both." She said before their teacher came and introduced herself. "Hello, My name is Mrs. Takahashi (hint hint), we're gonna have so much fun today!" She said while Kagome and Kazuo walked inside the classroom uneasily.

Kagome looked up from her book and saw everyone's expressions.

"Did that happen?" Sango asked her. Kagome nodded. "Yeah," Kagome said, and everyone but Kazuo frowned.

Sensing that Kagome and Kazuo wanted to change the subject Sango picked up her book and like Kagome opened the book to a random page.

Seven-year-old Sango was walking beside a two-year-old Kohaku who was holding their mother's hand while Kilala walked beside them as she walked to where their father was waiting with her surprise.

"You're turning seven years old, and as promised you can start to learn hand to hand combat. When you turn ten, you can learn how to use a weapon. Do you have one in mind?" Ayako asked her.

"I want a hirakotsu just like you!" Sango smiled wide up at her.

Sango wiped her tear away and smiled softly when she felt a hand on her shoulder. Looking to her left, she saw that it was Kazuo. "Thank you." She said hugging him. "You're welcome," Kazuo said hugging her back.

Miroku watched the two with hidden jealousy; he wondered how Kazuo and Sango were so close. They were almost always together, at first glance at their relationship one would think they were lovers but he knew that wasn't the case. He watched as they both stopped hugging and Kazuo sat beside her.

~ With The Mysterious Man ~

The man walked into a mansion where others were waiting for him. "Do you think this is the right thing to do?" Future Kagome asked them.

"Past you need to grow to defeat Naraku and for her to grow she needs to know everything about her life. Even what she doesn't want to know." Midoriko said as she stood next to Aramitama, Kushimitama, Sakimitama, and Nigimitama.
