HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Days turned into months and months turned into years and soon both Brianna and Nicole had grown into beautiful young women. Unfortunately for Brie she wasn't able to go out and do much because of her eyes, Her grandpa Afa and her fathers had told her the story of her parent's love and the meaning behind her silver hurt her to know that her Father Roman was forced to marry someone else against his will though she was excited to know she had a sister. Brie decided to take a walk along the beach while she waited for Dean to return , he'd left earlier in the day for water and had yet to return not to mention it was pretty much the only place her father allowed her to go because it was right behind their bent down to pick up a beautifully colored shell, she barely had time to feel the pain before everything went black.

Tomorrow was a very important day for the crown Prince. Tomorrow Roman and Seth would be sworn into the throne as Kings of Mahavia and What was quickly becoming more important,later in the evening there would be a celebration in honor of Princess Nicole that Seth called her 'Coming out ceremony' to introduce her to the didn't even begin to know what it was because they had no such tradition in Mahvia but according to Shawn it was a HUGE deal in their kingdom. Seth was busy making sure all of the preparations were in order while Sika had spent the last ten month preparing Roman for the day that he and Seth would take over as kings. Once his 'Lessons' for the day had ended Roman rode back to his own castle albeit slowly. Nothing nothing irritated him more than watching his husband and baby girl storming around the castle frightening the slaves.

He entered the gates and was instantly met by Becky , the flame haired stable hand who was all too eager to help him down. Roman also noticed Bayley , Tara ,who had become their cook as well as Seth own handmaid Ettore were all too eager to help him. Which didn't help him the feeling of impending doom he'd already had giving the knowledge of how pushy Seth and Nikki were when it came to getting their way.

"Father , Thank goodness you're home , these idiots are ruining everything."

Before he could say anything else Nicole grabbed his arm and pulled him into the castle.

"WHERE THE HELL IS ROMAN?!"

Roman shuttered at the anger in Seth's voice, something told him to take the long way home but, there was no use delaying the inevitable.

"Papa I found him."

"Roman , thank goodness you're home , these idiots are ruining everything "

Seth held up what was perhaps the ugliest hunk of metal he'd ever seen. Roman raised an eyebrow Nikki had always been more like Seth no matter what he gave them they always demanded more. She stood before him in a beautiful gown made of the finest materials .Most kingdoms could feed their children for generations on it's worth alone and last night Seth had given her a beautiful dress for the occasion but, all she cared about was a tiara.

"You're asking people to make something they know nothing about . Yes we have jewels and metals to make them but we in Mahavia use feathers,leather and beads to make things such as headdresses...or tiaras as you call it and jewelry. You would have done better to send off a message to Your father asking him to get it."

He set the gaudy hunk of metal on a nearby table .This was his home life, Seth and Nicole would start something and steamroll their way through it while forgetting about the details until the last minute and then they'd come crying him about all the things that were going wrong. Though Roman never complained , mainly because Seth had stopped bugging him about his rides out into the country.

"And THIS is why you should have been here sooner, there's no time to get one now .Why can't this coronation wait until AFTER Nicole's coming out ceremony?"

Roman took a deep breath and motioned for the poor soul who had been forced to deal with both Seth AND Nicole for god knows how long to leave , fighting back the laugh at the speed at which he left.

"Seth , we have traditions in this kingdom JUST like you do in Helmsley , my father is getting older and less cunning. That can be seen as weak by enemies, I….we need to take over ruling as to avoid being bum rushed by opportunistic kingdoms who would just LOVE to overthrow the Mahvia rule and I need to make sure My family stays safe."

"Father , I STILL Don't have a crown for tomorrow."

Roman pulled Nicole into his arms and kissed her temple.

"I'll go to market and see if I anyone there has something worthy of my princess."

Nicole's eyes lit up, She'd always wanted to visit the city but, Seth was so overprotective that she'd never so much as set foot outside of the castle walls. Nikki turned her big brown eyes toward Roman .

"Father can I go with you?"

Seth was shaking his head no before she could finish.

"Nicole you know the rules"

"Papa I Promise I won't leave Father's side. Please."

" Roman , help me out here,"

"Nicole as much as I would love to take you with me , When Papa says no I have to agree with him."

"FINE!"

Nicole then stormed out of the room leaving Seth completely stunned while Roman was more than used to being on the receiving end of both Nicole and Seth's bad moods.

" She used to be so sweet. What happened to my little girl?"

Roman gave Seth an amused look before he collected his thoughts.

"I'll try to be back before sundown."

With that he turned and headed out of the door calling for Becky to have 'pele ea' saddled up so he could go into town and hopefully find a suitable crown for Nicole.

Roman arrived at the market and dismounted the mare before leading her into the crowd. Needless to say his presence had instantly garnered the attention of every merchant. What better way to prove the value of your goods than telling other potential buyers that the prince himself had as well. Being the kind person that he was he made a show of viewing the items at each stand before politely declining. Roman didn't know how long he was there before something caught his eye. The cart was covered in breathtaking headpieces made of seashells and coral, some had silver and diamond accents on them as well. The shop owner looked at Roman in shock, like all of the other merchants he'd instantly been aware of the crown prince's presence. Roman hadn't stayed at any of the other stands for too long and for him to so much as look this interested in purchasing one of his pieces was a big deal.

"Prince Roman , it is such an honor to be in your presence. Is there anything I can help you find?"

Roman smiled at the shop keep who looked ready to pass out , he always tried his best to put everyone at ease, especially when they could help him. Unlike his husband he wanted to make allies who helped out of will not fear.

"Yes, As I'm sure you are quite aware of the Coronation ceremony ...well it will also be where My beautiful princess Nicole will make her official debut and I need something worthy to be worn by my la susulu"

The shopkeep took a deep breath and Roman could see him physically relax and return his smile.

"Ah yes Princess Nicole , I bet her smile would put the sun itself to shame."

The shop owner then proceeded to give him a detailed description of all of the 'Mermaid headpieces' as he called them but none of them felt right . It wasn't until he held up a beautiful white piece draped in silver chains. What really stood out to Roman were the jewels , each one reflected the colors of the rainbow beautifully in the sunlight. The silver pendant that hung from the cascade of silver in the very center was a wonderful touch as well. Roman smiled from ear to ear,

"This is perfect , Nicole will love it. Thank you"

Without thinking Roman reached for his Ruby satchel and loosened it from his waist before handing the entire pouch over to the Merchant and mounted his horse.

"Have a wonderful day"

He called over his shoulder as he carefully rode off.

Roman arrived back at the castle after sunset and was promptly met by Seth the moment he'd stepped foot into the foyer.

"Roman It's GORGEOUS."

Seth rushed over and without damaging the crown threw himself into Roman's arms.

"I just hope she likes it"

Seth pulled away from Roman and carefully took the crown from his husband's hand.

"Are you kidding she's going to love it , and hopefully this will make up for earlier.I really wanna let her do things but, I….I don't want anything to happen to her."

Roman could tell by the sound of his voice that Seth was still hurt about what happened earlier with Nicole. Roman walked up behind Seth and pulled him into his arms and pressed his lips to Seth's temple.

" You're her father Seth she's always going to love you. It's just that You've never told her 'No' and I've rarely done it so for the both of us to stand firm was new to her, she'll be fine. We're gonna be Kings soon ...We gotta learn to stick together or this kingdom won't survive."

Seth turned around to face Roman.

"You've always been my voice of reason."

Seth then pressed his lips to Roman's for a quick kiss.

"I love you"

"You should rest."

"Brie?"

She could hear a familiar voice whispering her name her eyes fluttered open as she tried to shake off the fuzzy feeling.

"Daddy" Dean moved closer to where Brie laid helpless on the hard floor

"Don't move" He used a tattered piece of his shirt to clean the dried blood from the cut in back of her head.

"Where are we?" Truthfully Dean had no idea where they were but he knew a dungeon when he saw it. He'd feared for a second that Sika had found them but he'd seen the inside of THAT dungeon enough to know he wasn't there and Afa's castle didn't have one so the only other Castle was Roman's...but why bring him HERE?

"I don't know baby but, we're gonna get out of this." He hoped he could break out of this place and find Roman but, first he needed to murder whoever the fuck it was that put their hands on Brie.
