Lucy wandered through the halls. 'Where is Language Arts class?' she thought. 'I know Erza showed me… but she also showed me 267 other classrooms! I should've paid attention...'
She looked up and saw a light blue haired girl in an orange dress walking towards her from down the hall. "LEVY!" she called.
"Lucy! Are you lost already? We haven't even started the first class!" Levy teased.
"This school is way bigger than my boarding school. Do you know where Language Arts class is?"
"I have Language Arts too! I'll show you the way."
"Thanks Levy, you're a life saver."
Levy lead Lucy to the classroom. 'Go down the hall, take a left, go down the stairs, and... ugh it's hopeless I already forgot...' Lucy thought trying to remember the way. They entered the class and Levy went to her seat while Lucy approached the teacher.
"Hello, I'm Lucy and I just transferred here," Lucy introduced
"Let's see… You can sit in the empty desk next to Levy, the girl with the light blue hair. Oh she's waving to your right now," the teacher said.
Lucy went to her desk and cracked a smile at her best friend. She watched as more and more kids started entering. 'Wow they all have such colorful hair, and they all look so different, not wearing the same uniform and all. And wow, there's so many, I wonder how crowded the cafeteria will get.' The bell rang, loudly, whipping Lucy out of her thoughts.
The teacher did a quick call of attendance. "Alright kids we have a new student joining us today, please introduce yourself," the teacher announced looking in Lucy's direction.
"My name is Lucy Heartfillia, I look forward to getting to know you all," she said.
Almost immediately she heard whispers circling around.
"Heartfillia? Isn't that the super rich family?"
"But why'd she come here? I thought rich people went to their fancy boarding schools or were homeschooled."
"She's kind of hot, I should ask her out."
"Quiet dude she can hear you!"
'Just ignore them, you can't let a bunch of immature kids get the best of you. Besides there's still a chance for you to leave a good impression, you got this!' Lucy motivated herself.
"Anyways lets get started with class. Everyone open your textbooks to page 67. Lucy you can share with Levy until you get your book."
"Homework on my first day," muttered Lucy.
"It's not that bad, I'm sure the other teachers will cut you some slack!" Levy replied.
The bell rang and all the students started rushing towards their class.
"Oh no, class time already! We have to hurry!" Lucy exclaimed.
"What class do you have next?" Levy asked.
"Math."
"Oh. I have Social Studies. Don't worry math class is super close, just head down the hall and take a right, you can't miss it!"
"Thanks Levy, talk to you later!"
"See ya!"
Lucy hurried to class, weaving her way through the crowds of kids and managing to find it easily. She walked through the door just as the bell rang. 'I made it, glad I wasn't late on my first day.' She looked around the room and noticed Gray sitting in the very back. She waved at him, but he didn't notice her. 'Must be day-dreaming.' She walked up to the teacher.
"Ah, you must be Lucy! Have a seat in the middle row with the desk closest to the window," the teacher said.
"Thanks."
'I've only been in one class, but it's pretty stressful being the new kid. Well, only a few more classes to go!'
"How much homework am I gonna get?!" Lucy grumbled.
"Look on the bright side, it's not nearly as much work as you would get at your boarding school!" Levy reassured.
"Thanks, but that doesn't make this any better."
"Which class do you have next? I have Science."
"I have Social Studies. Another class without you..."
"Cheer up! We'll see each other at lunch!"
"Yeah."
A part of Lucy really missed Levy not being there, but she was relieved at the fact that they would see each other at lunch. She wandered down the hall and finally found her way to the Social Studies room. 'This would have been faster if I asked Levy for directions. Well I made it anyways!' She entered the classroom and walked up to the teacher.
"Oh, I don't remember you. You must be my new student, right?" the teacher asked.
"Yep," she replied.
"Hmm... you can sit at the desk in the back, the one second closest to the window."
"Alright."
When Lucy sat down, everyone was whispering to each other.
'Did I do something wrong? No, it must have been the rumors. They spread so fast though.' she pondered.
The bell rang and the teacher called on her to introduce herself.
"Hello, my name is Lu - " She was unable to finish her sentence because someone rudely slammed the door open. Everyone looked to the door.
"Sorry I'm late," a voice said.
"That's not an excuse. Not to mention, you never come to my class," the teacher said.
"Well, I heard there was a new student, that's all."
"Take a seat and keep your disruption to a minimum."
Lucy looked at the person that had rudely interrupted her. 'It's the pink haired guy from the bus!'
Silly me! I forgot to mention that this is my first fanfic I have ever written. I had an account, and a lot of people I knew wrote fanfics. So I started writing fanfics too. Unfortunately, I do not have a bit of talent compared to them. Will I still write? YES! This may not be my best story, but I have a lot of room to improve! Also, sorry for making these chapters short. I somehow rush the events together and I have to end because I want you guys to be wondering what's going to happen next.
Notice: So I'm trying to update every other day, but I will be going on vacation on Saturday. Don't worry, it won't be a long trip, probably just until Tuesday. So if I can finish a chapter today (which I probably will), I will update on Saturday in the early morning. Then, after that, I can probably update on Thursday. So if you don't see me, I'm on vacation! (I'll take the notice off of my profile when I come back.) Hopefully I'll get inspiration during my trip! I type too much *~*.
