Lucy stared at the stranger as he sat at the seat next to her. 'Should I redo my introduction now? Geez everyone is staring at me now.'
"Sorry for the interruption. Please introduce yourself again," the teacher apologized.
"Hello, my name is Lucy Heartfillia and I look forward to getting to know you all." Lucy said hurriedly and sat down.
"Thank you, I look forward to being your teacher. Okay class take out your homework from last week and we will go over it. Lucy you can sit this one out, and for those who didn't do it, meet me after class."
Lucy noticed the pink haired boy display an expression of worry. 'Guess he didn't do the work huh. Well expected if you never came to class...' Lucy tried her best to focus on the teacher, but it was hard when she didn't know what the teacher was talking about. It also didn't help that she felt people staring at her the whole class. She tried her best to avoid the glares, but ended up acting more clumsily, and dropping her pencil more than she should have. 'Please let class be over already...'
The bell rang and she sprung from her seat. She ran out the door and her tense shoulders relaxed. 'I hope I never have to experience that ever again. Now I wonder where the cafeteria is...'
After walking around for who knows how long, she finally managed to find the cafeteria. The cafeteria was packed and she could hardly find her friends. She looked around until she saw Levy waving her hands at her.
"Hey Levy! I'm glad I spotted you, otherwise I would've looked really weird standing there all alone..." Lucy said.
"Haha no worries! Oh meet my friend, Juvia. Juvia this is Lucy." Levy introduced.
"Hey," Juvia said, not really paying much mind to her.
'There's something off about this girl, why do I feel like she already hates me?' Lucy thought. "Hey. How did you get here so fast?"
"Our class is right across from the cafeteria, plus Juvia actually knows her way around the school," Juvia smirked. "Oh here comes the others."
Erza, Wendy, and Gray had entered the cafeteria. Lucy and Levy waved frantically at them to get their attention. Erza and Wendy sat across from Lucy and Gray sat across from Juvia. 'Was it just my imagination or did I see Juvia turn a little pink?'
"Oh right, I have to tell you about the gangs!" Erza exclaimed.
Everyone quickly spun their heads and the cafeteria went silent.
"Quiet down Erza! People can hear you." Wendy exclaimed.
"Uh sorry I was talking about other stuff..." Erza told the others in the cafeteria.
"Tch lame!" They all turned back and the cafeteria started bustling again.
"ERZA! YOU'RE NOT ALLOWED TO TALK ABOUT THAT STUFF!" Levy whisper-shouted.
"Did you guys forget that I'm part of the gang and I'm right here?" Gray asked.
"But Lucy needs to know about them!" Erza said, ignoring Gray's remarks.
"She did promise…" Lucy said looking down awkwardly.
"Well you were bound to find out eventually..." Wendy responded with a smile.
"Juvia does not think it matters if Lucy finds out."
"Excellent!" Erza responded, "Now here is..."
Erza's List Of Gang Knowledge
1. DO NOT GO NEAR THEM! They are highly dangerous!
2. If you are having a fight with one of them, surrender immediately!
3. NEVER insult them or make them angry.
4. If you are going someplace near them, go in a group.
5. Do not have any weapons near them! They will take them and hurt you.
6. NEVER GO NEAR THE TOP PEOPLE OF THE GANG! Their names are Natsu Dragneel and Gajeel Redfox (though Gajeel is more laid back). *Shows pictures*
"And that is all you need to know," Erza says.
"Hold on a second. That person Natsu is in my class - and he sits next to me!" Lucy exclaims. "And wait doesn't Levy have a crush on Ga-" Lucy stopped as she turned around to see Levy with a wicked grin on her face.
"Natsu sits next to you?!" Wendy exclaimed.
"Yeah, third period..."
"Juvia thinks things will not go so well."
"Calm down guys. Natsu isn't going to do anything unless you insult him. Besides he's a huge dumbass," Gray said.
Despite Gray's reassurance, Lucy was still worried.
"So what about Gajeel?" Wendy asked Levy, changing the subject hastily.
"What? Wendy!" Levy exclaimed, blushing a vibrant red.
"Admit it," Erza said.
"I don't like him!" Levy said.
"You do," Lucy said, getting back her mojo.
"I don't."
"You do."
"I don't."
"You don't."
"I do… Lucy that was a horrible trick!"
"Trick? I did nothing."
"Lucy!"
"But it's the truth."
"Don't tell anybody."
"We won't," they all smirked.
Before long they had already dropped the conversations about the gang. 'I'm so glad I was able to meet such nice people. This school seems so lively as well!' Lucy looked around then stopped as she saw Natsu and Gajeel sitting a few tables down from them.
"Isn't that Natsu and Gajeel?" Lucy whispered to the table.
"SHIT, how did we not notice them?!" Levy whisper-screamed, blushing instantly.
"Just ignore them, especially Natsu," Erza said.
"Okay. Hey what's free time? I have it on my schedule." Lucy asked, diverting the conversation.
"Oh, it's when you're allowed to go anywhere in the school as long as it's not disturbing anybody. During that time, you can do homework, play games, anything you want," explained Wendy helpfully.
"Oh, thanks! It seems exciting."
The bell rang and everyone hurried to class. Surprisingly, including Natsu and Gajeel.
'What were they doing sitting next to us? I expected them to eat outside or something...' Lucy wondered as she walked to her next class.
Natsu's POV (Before 3rd Period)
Natsu had never wanted to go to class. Every time, he would just sleep. Besides, he would much rather prank Gajeel or pick a fight. Speaking of pranks he had just set his banana peel prank in motion. Not original, but a birdbrain like Gajeel was sure to fall for it.
"You fell for it again!" Natsu said, as Gajeel slipped and fell.
"Wow, you sure are original for that one!" Gajeel insulted him, about to land a punch in his face.
"So, anything new going on?"
"Heard there's a new kid. 'pparently she comes from a rich family."
"So, nothing interesting."
"I dare you to go and see who she is."
"Why don't you do it yourself?"
"Are you a chicken?"
"Fine, but you have to do a dare, too."
"Sure, what do you have for me."
"That's a surprise."
"That doesn't sound good. Anyways, I got her schedule."
"Continue… stalker."
"C'mon you know they have weak security in the teacher's lounge. She has Social Studies, Free Time, and Gym/Health at the same time you do."
"Hmm... but what time do I have those classes?"
"You're hopeless."
"We're hopeless."
"Get going already, before you are late."
"Ugh fine, but don't forget you still have a dare you have to do."
"Gee Hee."
"We really need to talk about that stupid Gee Hee of yours. So long, you piece of crap."
'That fox, does he really think I can't manage to attend at a few classes? Watch me you jerk, this is going to be a breeze.' Natsu thought as he walked towards his classroom as he heard the bell ring. He slammed the door open and entered the classroom. 'Oh shit, that was loud.' The new girl was already introducing herself. Everyone looked up at him. He glared back and they quickly turned away.
"Sorry I'm late," he exclaimed.
"That's not an excuse. Not to mention, you never come to my class," the teacher said.
"Well, I heard there was a new student, that's all."
"Take a seat and keep your disruption to a minimum. Sorry for the interruption. Please introduce yourself again," the teacher apologized.
"Hello, my name is Lucy Heartfillia and I look forward to getting to know you all." Lucy said hurriedly and sat down.
'Lucy huh,' Natsu thought.
The rest of the period, Natsu stared at Lucy. He had this weird feeling coming from her. Every time the other kids looked at her, they would notice him and quickly turn around. 'This was pointless, well next period is lunch. Perfect time for Gajeel's dare,' Natsu thought smiling and resting his head against his desk.
Hey guys! I did it, I finished chapter three! Plus, it's a longer chapter than before! Anyways, the next time you'll see me update is probably Thursday. I'll try, at the very least.
'What were they doing sitting next to us?' Lucy thought. - Oh, maybe just hearing everything you said - not to mention, there still is Gajeel's dare. Yeah, I know Natsu's dare was stupid, but Gajeel had heard rumors about Lucy being Levy's best friend (Okay, that's a lie. I just needed Natsu to meet Lucy, ok? I was getting a bit desperate.)
