II Chapter 6: Phoenix Falls, Dragon Rises

To answer some questions:
Reaper: Yes Seras is definitely strong enough to beat Raiser

Observatory room
Watching the events unfolding were the parents of Raiser & Rias, Grayfia Lucifuge, and the ruling Satan Sirzechs Lucifer himself.
Rias's father, Zeoticus Gremory, appears as a middle-aged, handsome looking man with long crimson red hair that is tied in a loose ponytail with a black hairband. He has bright blue-green eyes and a short red beard/stubble.
Rias' mother, Venelana Gremory, looks very much like her daughter with shorter flaxen hair and violet eyes much like the natural born members of the Bael Clan. She appears to be around the same age as her daughter despite this.
Raiser's father looked like an older, yet a much less narcissistic, version of his son.
Raiser's mother looks exactly like her daughter, Ravel, in her early twenties with the same blonde hair and blue eyes, with the only exception of her hair being done up very high with ornate hair decorations.
Sirzechs Lucifer (formerly Gremory) was a handsome man who seems to be in his early 20's. He has shoulder length crimson red hair and blue-green eyes inherited from his father, Zeoticus, simi-lar to Rias.
"I must say, I'm quite shocked that your daughter has managed to make it this far Zeoticus."
Lord Phenex comments.
"True, I have never anticipated for her to manage to take out all of Raiser's peerage save for his Bishop."
Zeoticus was surprised yet he also sounded proud.
"Yet most of her progress, I believe, is credited to her new Pawn."
Lady Phenex remarked.
"She is remarkable…"
Venelana spoke, however she then frowned.
"However, it's obvious that she was greatly weakened by Yubelluna and her last attack, despite her regeneration."
She then looked worried.
"As well as Rias' Queen is too weak to fight, her Bishop's power is too diluted to function proper-ly, while her Rook & Knight have none of the raw power needed to take down Raiser."
Despite agreeing to the marriage contract she and her husband did NOT like it any more than Rias did and were actually hoping she'd win. However even they could see her chances are low, her peerage was weakened from fighting Raiser's, and though Raiser relies heavily on his regenerative powers he was definitely no slouch when it comes to power and fighting skills.
"I wouldn't count her out just yet mother."
Sirzechs spoke.
"I have a feeling that Pawn of her's has more tricks up her sleeve than just Boosted Gear and Sword Birth."
He then grinned.
"Besides I seriously doubt a student of the Blue Satan will lose to someone like Raiser. Isn't that right… Akuma?"
Akuma appeared out of shadows, startling the group.
"Trust me this will be a fight that Raiser will never forget."
"Shit!"
Raynare barely managed to dodge a fireball from Raiser before throwing a light spear at him.
Her & Rias were showing signs of exhaustion, their clothes were torn up, while Raiser looked as fine as he can be. Despite Raynare having the ability to use light her status as a Fallen Angel and a Reincarnated Devil has severely diluted the light power so though it's far more painful than any other attack it still did nothing against Raiser's regeneration. Even though Rias has far more destructive power he didn't even flinch from them.
"I must commend you for coming this far."
The two gritted their teeth as despite the compliment the condescending tone and look he was giv-ing them sounded more like an insult.
"Not many have managed to come this far without me letting them on purpose yet you two have managed to exceed my expectations."
He then looked upon the horizon, most likely at the direction of Rias' servants.
"Your servants themselves are certainly more powerful than I give them credit for… yet I have the feeling that the credit really goes to that demon pet of yours."
Rias & Raynare were enraged at hearing him call Seras a pet.
"In fact, I believe once I win this I may have her first in my bed. Other than succubi I have never bedded a demon woman before and I am willing to bet it would be quite pleasurable."
"Bastard!"
He was bombarded by blasts of destruction & spears of light causing him to explode, however he instantly however his body was instantly reformed looking as fine as he was since the start of the battle.
He laughed at their attempts.
"Even at the face of defeat you continue to fight. I can't tell if it's admirable or just plain pathetic."
Flames surrounding his body and started heating up the entire area.
"But the show is over, and it is time Rias for you to accept your rightful place by my side!"
Before Raiser can launch his attack he was interrupted.
"I don't think so."
Suddenly his entire skull exploded, and his body was launched into the school building.
Rias & Raynare widen their eyes in shock and surprised seeing that it was Koneko who struck.
Rias looked closed and saw that Koneko was covered in a blue aura while her arms seemed to have strange markings on them.
'Touki! Youjutsu!'
Rias thought shocked at this.
Koneko landed on the ground, and upon noticing her master's expression, her response to it was a thumb up.
"You dare!"
Despite the power boost it did nothing to Raiser as he once more regenerated, looking pissed at the attack.
"Yeah we dare."
Seras walked casually toward Raiser, her left hand covered in a crimson gauntlet while her right holding a large bastard sword.
She casually glanced at everyone.
'Akeno is extremely weakened from her fight with that Bomb Queen to the point she should have retired, Rias is weakened from her fight with Raiser, Raynare's powers are essentially useless against him, while Yumi & Koneko are the only ones still capable of fighting yet they have no-where near the power or skills to take him out.'
Seras was still capable of fighting, had a lot of raw power, and had the necessary skills for taking down Raiser.
'Except I'm pretty weak right now and judging from Raiser's energy levels, he barely did anything when fighting Rias & Raynare.'
(So what do you propose Seras?)
'Weaken him as much as possible and finish him off with some holy attacks.'
Even if Raiser is a devil, that Phenex regeneration of his is extremely powerful so if she wanted to be thorough she would have to weaken him greatly.
"Oy everyone!"
She grabbed the attention of her group.
"I want all of you to stay out of this fight."
They looked completely shocked at what she said.
"What?! No! Seras why would-?!"
"Because we don't have a lot of options here."
Seras interrupted Rias.
"Right now you, Raynare, and Akeno are too weak to have any use right now while Yumi & Kon-eko don't have the raw power needed for this."
Both Koneko & Yumi felt ashamed of the fact they really couldn't do anything to truly help against Raiser.
"Thanks to my Boosted Gear I got enough power to take down that flaming chicken as well as the diversity."
'Plus I still have my ace in the hole.'
"But still Seras, you can't just expect to just stand there and watch!"
Rias argued.
Despite how weak she is, she WILL NOT just let Seras fight on her own and risk getting hurt… or even killed.
Seras looked at each of the girls that hold a deep place in her heart. Even if it was logical they would not just abandon her like this.
"Huh, are you guys really going to stay and fight?"
Despite asking she already knew the answer.
"Just what do you take us for?!"
Raynare glared at her and looked genuinely offended that Seras told her to leave her
She noticed that Raiser had already recovered and was now glaring at them.
"Shit, no choice."
The Boosted Gear was then covered in glowing crimson runes. She punched the ground, creating a large magic circle in the area.
"What-?!"
Suddenly the girls were pushed out of the area with tremendous force, yet oddly enough it did not hurt them in the slightest.
Seras smiled as she created the barrier. She was secretly gathering enough power to create this bar-rier since the start of this battle. There was absolutely no way she was letting any of the girls fight Raiser.
"What is this?"
Raiser looked at the barrier with narrowed eyes, suspicious and wary of its function.
"It's amazing what you can do when you mix youjutsu with devil magic."
Seras responded with a tired grin.
"The only way either of us will escape this barrier is if I bring it down myself… or I retire."
Raiser seemed to grin at that.
"Such a foolish thing you've done white rose."
Flames covered his body while two wings made out of fire burst out of his back.
"I will put you down white rose, and after I am done with your King I will finally get to enjoy my prize."
Seras scowled, before it turned into a malicious grin.
"You'll have to get through my stone-cold corpse before that ever happens. Also…"
She unsheathed her blade.
[BOOST!]
"You seem to be under the impression that I'm stuck in here with you…"
A demonic aura covered her body.
"When the truth is you're stuck in here with me."
Raiser grinned at this, yet it wasn't one of his arrogant ones, rather, it was one of anticipation.
He landed softly on the ground.
"Come on!"
"Ok…"
Seras got into a sword stance.
"Lets dance!"
"Dammit!"
Raynare kept stabbing the barrier with a light spear.
Rias tried blasting it with her Power of Destruction to no avail, Yumi kept striking it with her blades only for them to break like glass, while Koneko kept punching it even when her fists be-came bloody.
At first Koneko tried to use Hougetsu Jigen-Tou to get through the barrier but everyone was shocked when she couldn't get through. She soon sensed that the barrier was partly made out of Yoki making them realized she had use youjutsu to make this barrier.
Akeno could not do a thing a she's still recovering her lost mana.
"… You idiot!"
Raynare noticed Rias got tired and was resting her forehead against the barrier.
"Why? Why did she have to try and face Raiser by herself?"
Raynare couldn't help but stare at Rias, knowing the answer to that.
"… Because Sensei cares about us."
Koneko spoke.
"… She cares deeply about us… and yet… she has no value over her own life…"
That was a hard thing for her to say.
It also pained the others to hear the truth out loud.
They were very much aware how very little Seras valued herself. After all… they still had no idea if she still wished to end her life or not.
All they could now was watch and wait for the barrier to be brought down.
[BOOST!]
Raiser widen his eyes as Seras was right in front of him.
He didn't have time to even utter a word before being completely bisected from head to toe.
She backed up quickly, knowing full well that that wasn't enough and that he will regenerate quickly.
However instead of reforming he disappeared in a cloud of smoke & embers.
Her eyes widen in alarm quickly turning her head to whichever direction he might appear.
She suddenly felt tremendous heat coming up high and narrowly dodge a fireball.
Seras gritted her teeth as she still got a bit burned from the flames, though the wounds quickly healed.
"You're fast as well as strong girl, I'll give you that."
Three large fireballs appeared.
"This simply means that I shouldn't hold back anymore!"
He threw the fireballs at her.
She tried dodging except one actually honed into her.
She only had time to widen her eyes before the fireball collided against her.
She gritted her teeth as the flames engulfed her form; Morningstar glowed before unleashing a large wave of demon light dispelling the flames.
Though she healed quickly, her clothes on the other hand were completely damaged and left very little to the imagination (though she quickly thanked the heavens that she wasn't naked).
As two of the other fireballs honed-in, she sent two waves of demon light at them.
The resulting explosion engulfed her view preventing her from seeing anything.
[BOOST!]
She felt a presence behind and was able to use her sword to block the punch.
Her sword ringing from the tremendous force; redirecting the blow she cut his arm off before be-heading him.
He once more teleported away.
She sensed fireballs heading her way and created a barrier of swords to protect her.
She looked around trying to find Raiser as he teleported once more.
It was only by luck that she noticed, through the corner of her eye, a kick heading towards her head. Narrowly dodging the attack, she grabbed the offending limb and slammed Raiser hard into the ground, cratering the area around them.
She tried stomping on his head only for him to trip her.
[BOOST!]
She landed on her hands and delivered a kick to his head.
He skidded a few feet away from the force his head bleeding from the blow though he wiped it off while the wound healed.
He grinned at her before flapping his wings high up on the air.
His hands glowed and suddenly a magic circle appeared beneath her.
She barely had time to move out of the way as the ground was ignited by pure white flames.
Seras widen her eyes at this.
'Shit I did not think he actually had that much firepower.'
Another circle appeared and Seras dodged the blast once more.
Soon the whole area was engulfed by white flames as Seras avoided each blast.
Eventually the barrage ended with Raiser actually looking a bit winded from his attack.
The flames weren't white because of a mystical property, rather they were white because of the sheer intensity of it. As such it would require a significant amount of power to produce flames with that much heat.
"Now where did she go?"
[BOOST!]
Raiser was suddenly slammed into ground hard enough to crater the entire area.
Raiser groaned and slowly got up.
Standing before him was Seras only different: She was wearing black armor that was covering her exposed flesh (though if anyone were to ask the armor seemed to make her look more erotic), her eyes were glowing red, her horns & ears were much longer making her look like a horned elf, and two metallic wings spread out behind her back like angel wings.
Raiser was briefly captivated by her beauty but was snapped out of it when she suddenly disap-peared.
He was uppercut to the air, stunning him from the sheer force of power. Seras appeared above him this time and punched him back to the ground.
Somehow, to his disbelief, she was able to turn the battle completely to her side.
He was then met by a barrage of punches & kicks strong enough to shed his blood and fast enough to keep him from teleporting.
Seeing a window of opportunity Raiser retaliated with a large fire blast, blasting her a few feet away.
Raiser quickly flew as high as possible to put some distance between the two of them.
Seras stopped a few feet away though oddly enough she didn't press on with her attack.
'He's wearing down… yet it still isn't enough… and I'm starting to tire out.'
Seras dodged the incoming projectiles.
{Seras your body is taking too much damage, if you don't use THAT right now you'll be finished}
'I can't do it now, I still don't have the power necessary for it, and I need Raiser to waste as much energy as possible.'
Seras flew up and with her wings sliced him to bits; just as he was about to reform Seras instantly sliced the body parts, not giving him the chance to recover.
Before she could go for another strike, her body froze up, every nerve in her body flared up as if she was being electrocuted, and she crashed down on the ground hard.
Black sparks occasionally appeared around her body as she struggled to get up.
'Dammit, what the hell?! I can't move my body!'
"My it seems you have reach your limit."
She felt something collide against her back pushing her further into the ground.
"You are powerful white rose, in fact you are a better fighter than I am."
He grabbed her by the hair before slamming her back onto the ground and kicking her a few feet away.
"If I were not from the Phenex family than I would surely be beaten by you."
Seras got off the ground; thanks to the armor she wasn't able to feel any of the blows and the dam-age was somewhat negated. However, that still did nothing to lessen the exhaustion, the energy loss, and the pain she was already baring within.
'Fuck! Why can't I fight back?!'
{That power you have, it's damaging your body far more than we thought}
"Tsk!"
She honestly should have known that using that unknown power of hers would have some dire consequences to it (especially when she used Boosted Gear on it); though she was seriously hop-ing that she would have had to deal with this when the battle was over.
The pain suddenly intensified causing her to almost collapse once more; cracks than appeared around her armor causing her to widen her eyes in shock.
Raiser noticed the cracks on her armor and grinned before teleporting away.
Seras looked around frantically, trying to locate his presence.
She then felt tremendous heat from above and looked up, shocked to see a large bird made com-pletely out of fire coming towards her.
'Shit!'
She was then engulfed in flames.
"Seras!"
The girls could only look on in horror as they watched Seras engulfed in flames.
"Dammit! Why won't this thing open up?!"
Raynare kept slamming a light spear on it only for it to break like the others.
At the corner of her eye she noticed the other girls were now rushing their efforts into breaking the barrier.
As the smoke cleared they could see that Raiser was the only one there.
The girls were about to despair however they noticed one thing: There was no announcement of her retirement or, god-forbid, her death.
"Where is she?"
Yumi asked worriedly.
Everyone, including Raiser were looking around searching for any sign of her.
[BOOST!]
All the viewers were shocked when a large scar appeared on his chest while something crashed to the ground.
'I didn't even see her move!'
Before Raiser could register the wound he was engulfed in bright white flames causing him to ac-tually scream out in tremendous pain, shocking once more the audience.
Observatory Room
"Those flames, are they -?"
"Yes, they are holy in nature."
Akuma answered Lord Phenex's question.
"But how is that possible?"
Venelana asked.
Sirzechs was looking very closely till he noticed something.
"I believe that answers your question mother."
Seras was currently struggling to stand up. Her body was covered in burns, yet oddly enough she still looked relatively fine at least physically; most of her armor was destroyed and her clothes were mostly burnt up strips of cloth. However, what everyone was able to see was that her arms were badly burnt to the point that even some of the skin was missing, while where Boosted Gear should be was instead a single orange jewel. Judging from how her arms were limp it was safe to say that she couldn't use her arms anymore.
At the very last second she focused a majority of her power to create a shield however because of this her arms took most of the damage.
She was clutching something in her mouth, the tip of it was covered in Raiser's blood; at closer inspection the object was revealed to be a cross, more specifically Asia's.
Seras was breathing deeply; the pain was great, but she was able to bear with it.
'Ddraig…'
(Don't worry partner I'm still on it)
She grinned at that remark.
"Y-you…"
She stared at Raiser, her grin widening seeing him covered in burn marks.
'Thank you Asia.'
Raiser was glaring quite murderously at her. For the first time ever, he had felt true pain… and he did not like that. Not one bit.
Forget about making her his, right now he just wanted to cause her absolute pain in retaliation and if she died from it… then so be it.
Gathering the absolute amount of flames he can produce, he created an oversized spear made out of white flames.
He tossed the spear with such speed that Seras could only glare defiantly.
The entire area was engulfed in a pure white explosion.
The girls could only watch horrified at the amount of abuse Seras took.
As the view cleared, everyone could see that Raiser was deeply tired from that last attack.
Though to everyone's amazement they could see Seras miraculously still standing. That amazement quickly turned to horror.
Every strip of clothing, every piece of armor was gone; her flesh was marred with burn scars; she had a completely dazed look in her eyes as if she had passed out from pain; the cross was embed-ded to the ground; but worst of all was that her right arm was gone, completely annihilated.
Observatory Room
"We need to stop this."
The observers, including Lady & Lord Phenex, agreed that this was going to far. The young de-mon had already reached her limit and any second she would most likely die.
Just as Grayfia was about to retire Seras only for Akuma to stop her.
"What is the meaning of this Akuma?"
Grayfia glared at him.
"I believe all of you should wait."
Everyone was looking at him incredulously.
"My student will not fall. Besides…"
Everyone was shocked when they saw him grin.
"Raiser has played directly into her hands…"
Raiser was now glaring at the still standing form. At first the fight was fun due to the simple fact that she was stronger than any opponent he has ever fought, however that all changed when she had actually managed to HURT him. Because of him being a Phenex it was impossible for him to feel actual pain, however when she actually caused him to feel pain fear overtook him and when he saw how he panicked. However, because of his own pride & arrogance that fear & panic quickly became rage which was only made worse seeing that the girl was STILL standing even after using one of his most powerful attacks.
Unfortunately, he can't pull any more attacks like that and his magic was severely low.
Though despite surviving he couldn't help but grin at her state; this battle was all his now…
The girls they were all so horrified by Seras' state of injury they ceased all actions of trying to break through.
Though with Rias it was much worse.
Seras was in this mess because of her, she was like this because of her desire to be free.
She could have stopped this, she could have trapped Seras somewhere, or admit to the officials that Seras wasn't really her Pawn.
But no instead she let her desperation to guide her thoughts and allowed Seras' words to influence her decisions.
Because of her choice the person who trusted her beyond belief, who swore to always be by her side, the person… she came to fall in love with was now nearing death.
"Seras please stop!"
She had no idea if Seras could hear her through the barrier, but she didn't care.
"You've already done enough! Just please stop and take down this barrier! The rest of us can fin-ish him off!"
She knew that last part was a lie. Though Raiser was severely weakened he was still in far better shape than the others who still haven't recovered (it also didn't help that they've been spending most of their energy trying to get in).
Despite her pleas they ultimately did nothing. There wasn't even a twitch of her fingers to show she heard.
'Is Seras…?'
Rias then grit her teeth in anger when she came to a conclusion of Seras' condition.
'Why hasn't she been retired yet?!'
Her eyes widen in terror when Raiser starts to approach Seras' still form, his hands ignited in flames.
'To hell with this! My freedom isn't worth this!"
Just as Rias was about to concede defeat in order to spare Seras anymore pain, she suddenly moved. A slight tilt to the head that would have been dismissed, however a grin appeared on her face right then.
With a swift movement, she grabbed the cross, with a bright flash of light the cross was now a sword.
[TRANSFER!]
With that one word the battle was at the finale.
Everything should have hurt; hell, she should be dead right now if it weren't for her regeneration and even still she should have passed out by now.
Even still she couldn't help but smile as she was at the epicenter of a large twister made out of ho-ly… no… divine energy.
She could see Raiser now fully panicking.
"That power… Is that a Divine Sword?!"
Seras smirked at him.
"No, it's just a simple holy sword."
Raiser looked like he wanted to object however Seras interrupted him.
"However, let me ask you this: What do you think all those Boosts were for?"
He was about to answer but then stopped when he gave thoughts to their battle.
His eyes widen when he came to a realization.
"All those times you used Boosted Gear, I never once felt your power increase…"
"During the last day of my personal training with Akuma I had him going at me with the intention to kill. Comparing that to this…"
She couldn't help but chuckle.
"That is impossible! You should be dead if that were the case!"
"Believe it or not it doesn't matter, after all…"
She then glared at him.
"This is the end for you Raiser."
"W-wait! Don't you even know what you are doing!? This engagement is important and necessary for the future of Devils!"
Her glare became fiercer.
"You honestly think I care about all that. I'm a selfish person who only cares about fulfilling the desires of myself and those close to me. And right now Rias' desires her freedom."
She grinned viciously at him.
"Even if this kills me I will fulfill Rias' desire."
Raiser stared fearfully at her.
"Now… Disappear!"
With a wave of her sword the entire area was enveloped in such powerful divine might, that even her barrier was completely broken apart forcing the girls to quickly get out of the way lest they get caught.
As everything cleared up they saw that the entire School building was gone, in its place was a massive scar spanning miles on end.
Seras simply stood there waiting for the announcement.
[Raiser Phenex retires. Rias Gremory wins]
Seras grinned before collapsing on her knees.
'Damn can't believe that worked.'
(I can't believe you're still alive)
"Seras!"
She was suddenly tackled by a red blur.
Getting to a sitting position she was surprised to see Rias clinging onto her form, as if afraid that if she let go she would disappear.
"Rias…"
"Y-you idiot, why did you have to do something so idiotic like that?!"
She lightly hit her shoulder while calling her 'Stupid' with each hit.
Seras' gaze soften and tried to comfort her.
"You know we had no choice. He was just too strong. Besides do you honestly think I was just going to let you be taken by him?"
Rias couldn't help but smile despite the tears.
"What am I going to do to you?"
Seras grinned.
"Sorry to say, but you're stuck with me for the time being."
Rias chuckled despite herself.
Though that smile disappeared when she saw the state of Seras' right arm… or lack thereof.
"Hey none of that."
Seras noticed her gaze.
"You're free now so don't be sad over something as trivial as this."
She gestured to her missing right arm.
"You know that this will not be the end of it. A new engagement will probably be brought in."
"And yet it won't matter, after all I'll still fight to save you every single time that will happen."
Before anymore could be said Seras (along with the entire audience save for Akuma who was chuckling in amusement) were caught by surprise when Rias leaned forward and kissed her on the lips!
'W-what?!'
(Finally!)
She could hear Ddraig cheering while Sparda sighed at his antics.
A minute passed before Rias broke away.
"My first kiss. Isn't that something most human girls cherished?"
Seras simply nodded, still shocked at what she did.
"Come now aren't you happy with your reward?"
Rias asked teasingly.
Seras snapped out of her daze.
"N-no that's not it, I was just surprised is all!"
Rias giggled.
"Though I do wonder was that your first kiss as well?"
Seras stiffen before looking away.
"Yeah… sure let's say it was."
"Wait don't tell me-?!"
"That's so not fair!"
Seras was once more tackled only this time by Raynare who clung to her possessively (while coincidently hugging her head to her ample bosom) while glaring at Rias.
"I've known her the longest and yet you end up kissing her first! Well hands off she's mind!"
Rias smirked.
"Oh? Should I take that as a proclamation of war?"
Despite her pleasant exterior she was glaring at Raynare, with her returning it, the two not willing to back down.
"Well I do believe things will get more interesting from now on."
Akeno remarked while giggling with amusement.
"Y-yeah I guess you could say that."
Yumi smiled though it looked fake.
"… No fair."
Koneko pouted.
Seras couldn't help but sigh.
'When the hell did my love life become so complicated?'
Author's Notes
Well this ends the Phenex arc! Also I am so sorry for taking so long. Ended up binge playing Fate Grand Order, Age of Ishtaria, Monster Hunter World & Darksiders 3 (which gave me A LOT of ideas, especially the former two)
Also watched Tensei shitara Slime Datta ken which also gave me some ideas for new fics.
Also didn't help that my cousin came for a visit.
Anyway for those of you who didn't get Seras' plan here's the gist of it:
All those Boosts were not for increasing her power. What she did was tire Raiser out and have him waste as much magic as possible. All the Boosts were stored up. When Raiser finally wasted enough energy Seras transferred all the Boosts to a Holy sword (in this case she used Asia's cross as a conduit due to how it would take less energy than trying to form one out of nothing) giving it god-class power to finish off Raiser.
Some of you may think she may have overdone it but in canon Raiser was powerful enough to go up against the Balance Breaker of Boosted Gear and would have won if Issei hadn't carried holy items. Even then Issei had to Boost their effects in order for it to do actual damage to Raiser.
Seras could have Boosted her own power but the problem is it takes A LOT of power to actually do something against a Phenex. As well Seras was still very weak from her previous fights and wouldn't have been able to handle all those Boosts (with Balance Breaker she would pass out before she could do anything). Even if she could the problem would be that the power would reset leaving her too vulnerable. Thankfully due to her training with Akuma she had enough power to hold her own against Raiser.
Of course her original plan was to take out both her & Raiser using an exploding unstable holy sword though thanks to having Asia's cross she was able to readjust her plan at the last minute.
Anyway for those of you who DON'T know about it yet are fans of my works, I have a poll set up in my profile about which of my works you guys will like me to work on; you get to vote for 3 options.
