Apollo POV
For once, I really didn't want to wake up. I had been having a wonderful dream. It had been so easy in my dream, sitting on the couch with Percy. It was Elysium to have my arms around the son of Poseidon, exchanging innocent kisses. It was a little hard for me to think about now that I was up though. The dream felt way too real.
It was still an unusual experience for me. Dreams were something that I had never experience until my nightmare. If good dreams were like that though, I could understand why so many mortals used to sacrifice to Morpheus.
No matter how little I wanted to get up though, there was no point in staying in bed. I knew from experience that once I was awake, I could never fall back asleep. I sighed and reluctantly started getting ready to face the day.

I had finished my shower and was drying my hair when I heard Percy in the kitchen. I internally winced at the still vivid memory of my dream, but it wouldn't be the first time I had dreamt about holding and kissing the young god. I would just act as I had always done and pretend that nothing was different. That I still only thought of him as my friend.
I sighed as I tossed the towel into the laundry hamper and went to say good morning.
When I got to the kitchen, it was immediately noticeable that something was up. The son of Poseidon hardly ever cooked. If he did it was always pancakes. Yet here he was, with a frying pan on the stove and bacon and eggs on the counter.
I froze for a moment, trying to figure out what he had done that he was trying to make up for. Before I could get too far with my thoughts though, he turned around, saw me, and promptly dropped the egg he was about to crack. Naturally, it cracked open and egg went all over the floor.
The son of Poseidon jumped away from the mess with a curse, "Di Immortals!" One of my eyebrows jumped. I couldn't remember hearing Percy swear before. Before I could tease him about it though, he turned his attention back to me. His face was bright red. "Oh, hey Apollo. I... I thought you'd be longer in the shower. I figured I would at least have time to start breakfast."
I was really confused over Percy behaviour. First he was actually making breakfast that wasn't blue, and then he was blushing like he'd just had his first kiss. It was almost like... I felt my eyes widen in realization.
Holy Aphrodite!
I felt my heart starting to beat faster. It hadn't been a dream. I walked over the son of Poseidon and finally gave in to the urge to wrap my arms around him. I nuzzled my face into his neck and smiled. "Good morning beautiful..."
Judging by the gigantic smile he graced me with before enthusiastically returning the embrace, he liked the greeting.
"Good morning to you."
I pulled back just enough so that I could lean my head against his, simply basking in the fact that I now could. We stood like that, our arms around each other, for several minutes before the smell of something burning caught my attention.
I glanced over at the stove before doing a double take. There was smoke billowing off of the pan. I quickly pulled away and ran towards the stove. There were no flames, but it was still too late to save the eggs. They were completely black.
The son of the sea god came over beside me and glanced at the inedible food. He winced. "I... kinda forgot that I put those in the pan."
I couldn't help it. I started to laugh. Judging by his face, Percy didn't appreciate the reaction. He frowned and looked away. I had a feeling that the blush on his cheeks was more from embarrassment that anything else right now.
Before he could get too offended, I shook my head and put the pan on a cool burner. I wrapped my arms around him and leaned in to steal a quick kiss. Even if he was upset, it still didn't stop him from returning it. If my heart beat any faster than it currently was, I wasn't entirely certain that I would live.
I pulled him close and tilted my head so that I could see his downcast eyes. "How about we just consider that one a burnt offering to Aphrodite?"
He bit his lip, but I could still see the smile. He mumbled something but I couldn't quite hear what it was.
"What did you say?"
He looked highly embarrassed, but he did repeat it. "I said... she deserves some kind of offering."
My breath caught in my throat, and I tightened my arms even more. "That she does. What do you say, you clean up the mess and I'll start on pancakes?"

Authors Note
Dang I've really dropped the ball this week. This is kinda a filler chapter, but was too cute for me to not want to write it. I do apologize for the second overly short chapter but if it helps, I am planning on updating again tomorrow. So please don't mention length, I already feel bad.
I've really had no desire to write this story for the last few days. My mind doesn't want to focus on writing. I'm too excited. My husband and I are planning our first ever vacation. I just got and AMAZING deal on our hotel on expedia (50% off!), so now all my brain wants to do is shop around for deals on our flights...
Next update will be January 17th
Next Chapter:
The son of Leto shook his head. "I'm not pushing Perce. It's your call about when we want to tell people."
"I..." I had no idea what I should do. I had never been in this position before. When I had kissed Annabeth for the first time, nearly the entire camp had seen us. There was no question of remaining a secret. Then again, there was no worrying about having to hurt Annabeth then either...
