Percy POV
I tried my best not to blush when Apollo, Annabeth, Jason, and Reyna came back. Judging by the knowing smirk the sun god flashed me, he knew I had heard them. I swear that I wasn't trying to listen in to their conversation, but I couldn't help it. It was like trying to ignore the person beside you when you heard them say your name.
I couldn't believe that my friends would do that but at the same time, I understood too. I would be lying if I said that I wouldn't do the same for any of them. I was touched that they cared enough to try to protect me, but I was also mortified that they threatened him. I wonder if they still would have done it if they knew who he really was. Godhood wouldn't have stopped me from warning someone who was dating my friends, but I tended to be a little more reckless than the others.
I didn't want anyone else to know I had over heard them, so I signaled the sun god to follow me outside.

I was only waiting on the porch for a minute or so when I heard the front door open. I turned around and smiled when I saw Apollo step out. When he smiled back, my breath caught in my throat.
The last of the sunlight was painting golden hues on his skin, making him look as though he was glowing. It reminded me a lot of the time that I had gotten stuck in my immortal form. I had never seen anyone glow but me. It made me wonder if that was what his godly form looked like. If it was, I had to admit, he was stunning.
I wasn't really aware of the fact that I was staring at him until he smirked. "I know what you're thinking, and you're right. I am hot."
I instantly felt my face go bright red. There was no way that I was admitting to staring. He definitely didn't need an ego boost. I raised one eyebrow and tried to pretend that I hadn't been watching him. "Someone's full of themselves. I thought that Narcissus was supposed to be the one with the gigantic ego."
The god of the music looked surprised that I knew the myth, but rather than saying anything he just laughed and gave me a wink. "He is. If you think I'm vain, just wait till you meet him. However," He walked closer until he could wrap his arms around my waist. "I can't help but notice that you didn't actually deny it."
I didn't know how to reply, so I just rolled my eyes and looked away. I decided it was time to change topics. "I'm sorry about earlier. I didn't know they were going to do that, I swear."
The sun god shook his head. "Don't worry about it Perce. I didn't mind it at all. They're just looking out for you."
I smiled, relieved that he wasn't mad at them. I knew that most gods wouldn't be so calm about being threatened by mortals. I could only imagine what Zeus would have done if he was threatened by one of the friends of his many flings. He probably would have turned them into some kind of animal. I knew that Apollo wasn't like that, but I was a still a little worried.
"They are pretty great. I have to admit though, I was still a kinda surprised that they gave you the whole 'better not hurt him' speech." I shook my head, "Especially Annabeth."
He chuckled. "I wasn't. She's been your friend for a long time. It probably would have been more unusual if she hadn't. Besides, I was much more surprised that Reyna warned me."
I frowned in confusion. "Why?"
The sun god raised one eyebrow. "Are you kidding? She actually knows who I am."
I felt my eyes widen in understanding. "I didn't even think about that... Wow. She's even braver than I thought."
Apollo snorted. "I know. That showed a lot of courage. I have a feeling that my sister would get along great with her. She's the type of girl that usually become one of my sister huntresses."
I suddenly felt a shot of dread at the thought of Artemis. I hadn't even thought about how his sister might react to the news. I knew how close the two of them were and I suddenly had the mental image of being chased through the trees, running from the 12 year old goddess. "I have a question for you. Is your sister going to kill me when she finds out that we're dating?"
The sun god shrugged. "I don't know, probably not."
I ran a hand over my face and groaned. "Oh... probably not... Well that's very reassuring."
The son of Leto rolled his eyes and pulled me closer. "Don't worry about it Perce. Artemis doesn't care enough about guys or relationships to get involved. She doesn't really care what I do, as long as I'm not hitting on her huntresses."
I pulled back just far enough that I could see his face. "Are you positive? Because I'm not going to lie, she scares me a bit."
He chuckled and stole a quick kiss. "I'm sure. You don't have to be scared of my sister." I sighed in relief at the knowledge that I wasn't going to be facing immediate execution next time I saw the moon goddess. But of course, he just had to get in one parting shot. "Besides, if you want to worry about someone's reactions, worry about how our dad's are going to react."

Authors Note
Sorry it's so short; especially after I told you it was going to be a long one, but dang did this chapter ever fight me. I probably spent at least twice as long on this micro chapter than my normal ones and once again I had to delay their date for time reasons. On a plus note though, I intend to post a second chapter this week that should have the date I've been promising for the last 2 weeks.
Important note though, I have come to a decision. Sundays seem to be less than optimal for me to update on. Lately I haven't had access to a computer most Sundays and I tend to procrastinate a lot. Therefore, I have decided that starting this week, Mondays will be my updating day.
Next update will be February 29th
Next Chapter:
I couldn't remember the last time I had been so nervous for a date...
