Rosie and Max were dancing together, she glanced across and saw Danny and Alice in the corner, "Hey Max you think anything is going on between them?"

Max looked across and saw Danny take Alice hands, a smile on his face, "Definitely! Look at his face!"

"Look at hers!" Rosie retorted seeing her sisters eyes sparkle in a way she had never seen before.

Max placed his arms around her waist and moved a little closer his voice slow and a similar sparkle in his eyes that was in her sisters, "Isn't it better if they are busy with each other though? Means we might be able to steal five minutes alone."

Rosie smiled too, "It would be good, it's not our fault they think we're stupid." and kissed him quickly. Looked across and saw her sister still talking to Danny. She relaxed a little.

"How about we leave them to it and go look at the moon rise above the pool, it's beautiful." Max smiled at her, "Not as beautiful as you of course but it'll do."

Rosie took a quick look at Alice, saw she was busy talking to Danny and tugged him towards the exit. "C'mon!"

Alice and Danny were sat in their corner and she was subtly keeping an eye on Rosie and Max, they were getting less and less subtle with their public displays of affection, she had saw a kiss they thought she hadn't and let it lie but when Alice saw them slowly beginning to drift over to the exit leading to the pool she knew she had to act. She pretended to be engrossed in what Danny was saying when she saw them try to leave. "I don't think so!" she announced interrupting Danny mid flow and she stood up. "Watch my drink will you?" and Alice followed them leaving Danny alone.

Danny nodded while she left and started to watch his son converse so easily with a group of boys, as he saw watching he could barely believe how confident his son was, so unlike him at the same age.

"Danny?" a man called.

He turned his head, "Oh hello Jonas."

"Just came to tell you that it's all clear tonight. So far anyway."

Danny nodded, "Good, these poachers are nothing but animals!"

They conversed for a minute or two more. In that time Danny didn't see the man from earlier watching Alice as she exited the party, shaking her head to clear it on her way outside.

It only took a minute for Alice to catch up to Rosie and Max who were holding hands out by the pool,

"See I told you it was beautiful!" Max told Rosie. "Even better with you here."

"Awww Max you're sweet." Rosie was about to kiss him when Alice stood behind them saying, "Ahem!"

She saw Rosie deflate from behind and sigh, "Alice.

"Rosie turned to her. "Listen Alice….."

"Max go back to the party please." Alice told him angrily.

"You don't tell him what to do!" Rosie said bristling at her sister's tone. "And there is no reason to talk to him like that either!"

Knowing it was about to get heated with the two sisters Max decided to make his exit, "I'll see you in there." Max told Rosie and disappeared.

Rosie glared at her sister sharply.

"What did I ask you?" Alice asked.

"We weren't…." Rosie started.

"What did I ask you?" Alice repeated, starting to feel light headed.

"We weren't doing anything!" Rosie told her angrily.

"Yeah looked like it, I saw you both!" Why was Rosie was starting to shimmer.

Rosie rolled her eyes, "Ok there was a kiss, we just wanted a minute alone."

Alice snorted. "Well you aren't getting it! What were you two going to be doing that you needed to be alone!"

"What's wrong with you? We were out here getting some air!"

"What you wanted the air right out of his mouth?" Alice asked. God what was she saying?

Rosie's jaw dropped, "That's vile!" and she scowled. "And you have room to talk the way you have been cosying up to Danny!"

"I wasn't…." then Alice scowled too. "What I do and who I do it with is MY business"! I'm an adult!"

"What and I'm just a stupid kid?"

Don't go there Alice, just don't! "YES!" Alice retorted her mouth not heeding her minds warning, Dear God and this was when world war 3 began!

Rosie straightened her back, "I have NO idea who you think you are!"

"I think I'm your guardian that's what!"

"Yeah well I wish you weren't! It's not fair that you can do all that stuff with Danny when you two have messed up once before! If anything, you should be taking more notice of where you went wrong with him instead of not trusting me! I'm NOT stupid!"

"For your information nothing is going on between me and Danny!"

"Yeah right! So much for talking to me about it! You can't expect me to come to you when you won't do the same with me!" Rosie was shouting now, her face red.

"How can I dome to you with this stuff? You're just a kid!" Dear God where was her filter right now? It was like she wasn't in control of what she was saying!

Rosie looked at her, hurt and anger warring clear across her face.

Alice's body was demanding she say something, apologise to her sister but her voice refused to comply.

"I hate you!" was Rosie's final words before she stormed back into the party.

Danny had his eye on the door when he saw Rosie storm back inside followed by her sister. Rosie tried to go to Max but Alice took her arm and guided her towards her table. Rosie snatched it away and came over and stood beside Danny sulking.

"Sit Rosie!" Alice told her sharper than intended. The voice in her head which was trying to get control of the situation getting quieter.

"How many times we weren't gonna…."

"I said sit down!" Alice snapped.

Rosie crossed her arms and dropped into the seat beside Danny, refusing to even to look at her sister.

Danny frowned, it was unlike Alice to use that kind of tone towards Rosie. "Go easy on her." he murmured to Alice, "We were young once."

As Danny said that Rosie had decided to have a drink, she picked up Danny's glass.

"Rosie don't do that." Alice told her voice starting to slur slightly. "Have mine."

Danny looked at Alice still frowning, the way in which she was talking to Rosie was unusual. "It's ok. She can have mine," Danny assured.

"Fizzy orange is disgusting." Rosie added.

"Fine!" Alice told him, the voice in her head completely gone now she downed her drink in one then sat back and thought for a moment, she blinked slowly and looked at Danny. "I wish that drink had been alcoholic, I might get some vodka, what do you think Danny you up for some vodka?" she wiggled her eyebrows. "Could be fun. Or tequila!" her eyes wide as the idea came to her "Tequila is so much better!" Alice seemed lost in thought, "We could get shots aswell." she murmured to herself. "Jagerbombs too."

Rosie and Danny looked at each other wide eyed.

"What?" Alice asked then looked at Rosie quizzically a frown upon her face. "What you sitting with us adults for? Go have some fun!"

Rosie frowned at Danny again, "But you said….?"

"Go on! Go get that boyfriend of yours! And ignore what I said about behaving, you're only young once!"

"Rosie go yeah!" Danny told her knowing that something was wrong with Alice. "Grab Thomas but stay close."

"But Alice said…."

"Rosie!"" Danny told her pointedly.

She sighed but did as she was asked.

As soon as Rosie was gone Alice crawled across the seat towards Danny and pulled him closer, "I've been waiting to do this all night." and before he could halt her she pressed her mouth to his.

Danny felt the kiss right down to his toes, this was all he could think about for the last few weeks and to have this happening was unbelievable…..he felt himself begin to respond when his brain kicked in, it was obvious Alice was drunk. She would have never done this otherwise and he couldn't take advantage of that! How could she be drunk though? She hadn't had one drink! He pulled back sharply and she smiled at him in a sultry way, she looked so sexy he almost melted right then!

"Alice are you ok?"

She flopped back onto the seat beside him, unaware of the effect she had just had on him.

"Yeah." she replied slightly breathless, voice higher in pitch. "You kiss better than you used to, my eyes are all blurry now." she shook her head as her brain seemed to slow down even more. Then she smiled blankly looking at the dancefloor. "People dancing is funny." She stood up spun around with her arms wide. She looked like she about to fall over when he stood up and caught her. She began to laugh raucously.

Ok something was seriously wrong here! He sat her down and took her face in his hands and looked into her eyes. She leaned in to kiss him once again but he pulled away before she could hit the intended target. She mock frowned at him, "Why so glum cutie?"

"Alice do you know who I am?" he asked seriously.

"Course I do cutie. You're my husband…..or not?" she laughed, "I don't remember." and she grinned at him absently before kissing him on the nose. "It's hot in here." she told him and began to fan her face.

Danny motioned someone over while trying to keep Alice seated. "Go get Vanessa. Be discreet. Also ask someone to keep an eye on Rosie and Thomas Trevanion. When he looked across to where they once stood he saw they weren't in the room any more.

He looked around frantic.

"Why so worried cutie?" Alice asked laughing.

Derek watched as Danny sat trying to control Alice in the corner. She was laughing at something and he looked concerned. Meanwhile he was waiting for Rosie to break away from the group she was with and then grab her. He stood in the shadows until he saw Rosie begin to walk away. He followed at a safe distance…..

Thomas was stood smiling at Liv, he had been talking to a group of boys before but they were stupid, they had found out he had been in a gang in London and were asking him all sort of questions, like whether he had ever killed anyone. He hadn't of course, he had almost hurt someone badly which is how he ended up here. If he hadn't been arrested that last time, the conversation between his mum and Adele would never have happened. He sighed and Liv looked at him, "You ok?" she asked in her soft voice.

Thomas nodded, she looked so nice in her purple dress, her hair was clipped up and she was, just wow! Even with multi-coloured lights flashing above her she was still easily the best-looking girl in the place! Should he ask her to be his girlfriend yet? He found himself frowning and felt a little sick at putting himself out there like that, I mean he knew he liked her and he thought that maybe she liked him a little bit! Maybe Alice could help…..he glanced across and saw her almost slumped against Danny. He was propping her body up but she was definitely slumped forward. He stood up straighter when he saw Danny move Alice's head and it flopped back. What? Huh? Something was wrong! Liv and the other boys forgotten and broke away and ran across to them. When he reached Alice, he saw her head was hanging limp, her eyes closed.

"What's happened!" Thomas shouted, not liking the feeling he was beginning to experience in his chest. His chest started to heave and he couldn't hide the fear that was starting to show.

Danny raised Alice's head and pushed her hair from her forehead to look at her face, "Thomas," Danny gasped "Look, go get Rosie." and he lay Alice down.

Alice eyes were rolling in the back of her head, "I don't feel good….." she murmured slurred, her arms clutching her stomach as her body jerked.

Danny knelt on the floor beside her, "Thomas please!" Danny told him voice trembling.

Alice started to sound like she couldn't breathe then her whole body went rigid. Danny pushed the table behind him out of the way, he began pulling his belt off.

Thomas had watched the whole scene his eyes getting wider until she started fitting, when he saw Danny taking off his belt he lost it, "What are you doing?" Thomas said grasping his shoulders pulling him away from her. "What have you done to her?" tears filling his eyes.

Danny pulled away from his son, finished taking his belt off, folded it and eased it into Alice's mouth, "Alice bite down on that sweetheart." he then stood up and looked at his son intensity in his gaze. "Thomas I promise I will explain everything but right now I need you to go and find Rosie. Please!"

Thomas finally looked at Danny properly and saw the fear within his face. He sniffed, exhaled to quell the shuddering within his chest then nodded and backed off.

Danny knelt beside Alice once again and finally realised that the music had stopped playing and everyone was watching them. Danny ignored them and smoothed Alice hair as the convulsions she was suffering seemed to subside, her head lay limp to the side and he took the belt from her mouth only for her to promptly vomit on the floor. When her retching ended she groaned and her teeth began to chatter.

"Alice, its Danny." He told her running his hand down her cheek gently, "You're going to be ok. Just hang in there and you'll be fine." He promised.

As his statement came he came talking to her, a few minutes later Vanessa came into view followed by two paramedics. Sighing in relied he looked around to see if he could find the kids. He flagged Liv over and told her to go to Evan inside the living room of the house.

As the paramedics began to work on Alice he went in search of the Rosie and Thomas, he had asked him to stay put!

Thomas quickly weaved his way in and out of tables looking for Rosie, if she was out there with Max somewhere messing on he was going to punch Max's head in! I mean her sister was seriously ill here! As he approached the area he had last seen Rosie he saw Max stood there with the group of boys he had been chatting to before, he approached him. "Max where's Rosie?"

"She went to the loo, I was going to go too but she said that Alice was watching." And he rolled his eyes. "She said something about needing to stay with you too." Max glanced towards Alice, "What's up with her anyway?"

"Alice isn't feeling well." Thomas told him as he saw the paramedics approaching and "Thanks, no problem." Thomas said absently and made his way towards the toilets. He couldn't help but look back towards Alice, this time Danny was rubbing her hair gently and he found himself saying a little prayer,

'Please mum, please let her be ok.' His eyes heavenward momentarily.

Running his hand through his hair he was almost at the loos when he heard Rosie's anxious voice travelling towards him.

"Leave me alone!" she cried, "Let me go! I'm not going with you!"

"You'll do as I say girl!" a masculine angry voice replied to her.

Thomas sped up a little, then broke into a deadrun when the implications of what was happening sank in, Rosie was being abducted! He rounded the corner just as a slap echoed all around him.

He skidded to a stop breathing hard, the first thing he saw was a man, his hand fisted in Rosie's hair. She was half knelt, her eyes fear filled as she looked up at her captor. "HEY!" Thomas shouted rage filling him as he saw the way she was being manhandled. Rosie was as close to a sibling as he was likely to get and if this creep thought he could just take her away he wasn't just wrong he was stupid!

"Leave us alone kid!" the man snarled. "This is nothing to do with you!"

Rosie looked at Thomas with tears in her eyes, Thomas began to approach her with his arm out stretched. "C'mon Rosie." His eyes never leaving the man who held her.

The man yanked Rosie's hair once again and she cried in pain as tears fell. "I said go away kid! NOW!"

"Thomas." Rosie whispered and shook her head, eyes wide and still full of fear, pleading with him silently just to go.

"Thomas?" the man said. "Now why is that name familiar to me?" he continued to peer at the boy, at the way he held himself, the pissed off expression, "Could it be?" he murmured with smile.

"Yeah Thomas!" he spat. "Now let her go!"

"Listen lad I have business with my daughter!"

Thomas' jaw was slack momentarily then he began to shake his head, "Liar! She lives with her sister and don't say she doesn't coz his sister is my mother!"

Thomas had no idea of the mistake he had just made as the made stood up straight and smiled widely. In a split second, he had thrust Rosie away from him. She hit the wall and slid down it.

The kid looked just like his mother was his final thought as he lunged at him.

A/N Eeek Alice is out of it, Danny is seeing to her and Derek has Rosie and Thomas! What is going to happen? I will try to get the next chapter up as soon as i can!
