April 30th
Percy POV
I felt bad for the son of Leto. Yet at the same time, it was also kinda funny. It took him three days before he was mostly back to normal. I knew that he'd never had a cold before, but I couldn't help it. He acted like a big baby when he was sick. It was the man cold 2.0.
For better or worse though, I was thankful when he was better. I had no intention of abandoning the sun god to deal with his cold on his own, but I was beginning to go crazy being confined to the apartment. I hadn't spent that much time locked in the house since I got stuck on godly mode.
I was glad when the daughter of Atlas came by yesterday to ask us if we wanted to go on our double date today. I needed to leave the house and it was the perfect excuse. The best part was since Apollo was back in perfect health; he had no real reason to complain about it. Now if only I could actually make him go...
I knocked on the bathroom door for the third time in the last half an hour. "Are you seriously not ready yet? Leo and Calypso are going to be here soon."
The door cracked open a couple of inches and I was met with a raised eyebrow. "Hey, I'm just trying to look my best. It's not my fault that you don't bother even brushing your hair."
I gave him a playful smirk. "There is a big difference between not bothering to do anything, and spending more time getting ready than the Aphrodite campers."
The offended look he gave me was definitely worth whatever revenge he had in store. One thing I had learned quite quickly was that the sun god did not like being told he took as much time getting ready as most girls do, even if it was kinda true.
His eyes narrowed and he glared. "You're just jealous."
Rather than risk aggravating my boyfriend any further, I decided it'd be best to make sure he knew I was only joking.
"Why would I be jealous?" I could see a flash of hurt. Before he could say anything though, I stole a kiss and smiled. "After all, you're my boyfriend." He looked surprised, but he didn't say anything. He just gave me a soft smile in return. I heard a knock on our door and frowned. "They're a little early. You finish getting ready, I'll answer the door."

Apollo POV
It didn't take me long to finish. I probably could have been done five minutes sooner, but I enjoyed messing with Perce. I did wonder how he'd ever managed to get a girlfriend when he though 30 minutes was an unrealistic amount of time to spend getting ready. Several of my ex's, both men and women, had taken more than an hour. Just because he could be ready to go within five minutes didn't mean that was a realistic expectation for everyone.
I walked into the living room at the same time that the son of Poseidon handed our guests a drink. I tried to hide my wince when I realized that the young god was giving the son of Hephaestus an energy drink. That was going to cause a problem later. I had made that same mistake at one of our gatherings, but at least I'd learned better when the fire maker started trying to rewire my half-brothers house so that the lights in every room were automatic.
I was grateful when the daughter of Atlas took the energy drink herself and left the water for Leo. Considering I knew how much she disliked fake flavors, I knew she did it as a favour to us rather than out of any real desire for the liquid. The only reason I'd bought them in the first place was to give myself a shot of energy after a long training practice.
The son of the smith god gave the bottle of water a disappointing look, but didn't say anything about it as he took a drink.
The goddess realized I was standing there. "Hello Fred."
I nodded to her and smiled. "Hello."
Percy rolled his eye in an exaggerated manner. "Finally, shall we go?"
I playfully glared at my boyfriend. I knew he didn't mean anything by it. I had been slightly offended earlier by his responses, but it was hard not to forgive him when he ended up saying something ridiculously adorable. I had never had a hard time holding a grudge before, but there was just something about the green-eyed boy that made it impossible.
I shook my head and walked over to wrap my arm around my boyfriend. "We may as well let them finish their drinks first."
"Oh, right." The son of Poseidon blush and I gave him a fond smile. He didn't always think things through, but that was just part of his charm.
The goddess smiled at us, always the proper guest. "I like you're apartment. It suits you guys."
I hadn't really spent that much time thinking over how my apartment had changed since Percy moved in but now that I actually looked, I could see what she'd meant. The differences weren't immediately obvious. The furniture and bookshelves were still all mine. It was the little things that showed that I shared the house with someone. The big conch shell on the living room table definitely wasn't mine, nor was the blue table cloth. The Finding Nemo poster hanging on one wall certainly hadn't always been there. Rather than bemoaning the changes though, I found myself smiling. I never thought I'd enjoy living with someone, but it was probably just because it was Percy.
The son of the sea god smiled. "Thanks."
"She's right. I like it. You know, I've never really spent that much time here. I've only been to your apartment..." The son of Hephaestus paused halfway through his sentence. At first I didn't know why. "I'm sorry but I have to ask... why do you have a painting of yourselves as Christmas elves?"
I felt my eyes immediately go to the offending painting, hanging in the hallway. I tried to keep myself from blushing but I doubt it was that effective. I cleared my throat and looked away. "Forget about it, it was a gift from my sister." I glared at the son of Poseidon when he burst out laughing. "It's not funny Perce."
He looked at me, his eyes brimming with laughter. "Yes it is. I'm so used to that painting I nearly forgot about it!"
The son of the smith god looked between the two of us in confusion. "I clearly missed something..."
The young god gave me a playful smile. "So did you know that Fred likes caroling..?" I'm certain he would have said more, but I took the opportunity to cover his mouth with my hand.
The daughter of Atlas looked like she was doing all she could to stop herself from laughing at us as well. "Actually, I wouldn't mind hearing what happened either."
Before I could try to change the subject, the son of the sea god licked my hand. I pulled it away from his mouth with a grimace, "Gross."
Rather than apologizing, Percy just jumped out of my reach. "Well Fred decided to sign both of us up to sing in the Christmas parade this year. Apparently no one told him at the time that there were going to be costumes involved..."
As both of our guest joined in with the young gods laughter, all I could do was bury my head in my hands. I could feel the embarrassment burning my cheeks. It was already bad enough that Artemis knew; now Calypso knew too. I was never going to live it down.
"I knew hanging that picture was a mistake."
My boyfriend came over and wrapped his arm around my shoulders. I lowered my hands just enough to glare at him, but he didn't pay it any mind. "Oh come on, that story's hilarious!"
My frown deepened. "I disagree."
The son of Hephaestus spoke through his laughter, "I got to say, I'm with Percy on this one. It's very funny."
I was beginning to wonder if my face would ever go back to its regular shade. I needed to end this conversation immediately. "Shouldn't we be going?"
Calypso finally took pity on me. "Fred's right. We don't want to miss our reservation."
I gave her a grateful look. My gratitude, however, faded when her boyfriend spoke. "That's fine. We can always continue this discussion on the walk over."
I grimaced and rubbed a hand over my eyes. This was going to be a long evening...

Authors Note
It's rather amazing just how fantastic I am at procrastinating... which explains why this is once again my shortest chapter ever. I kept putting it off so this was all I could finish and still have it posted on time.
Next update will be May 2nd
Next Chapter:
I smiled at the sun god before turning to the goddess across from me...
