Chapter 24 – The Revolt Part 2
Riley stopped when she heard Kim's screams. She looked over at Raph and Casey worriedly before the trio took off in the direction of the main hall. They reached a railing that overlooked the main hall and gasped when she saw Leo was knocked out by the magic user behind him.
"Kim!" Riley screamed
Kim looked up at the sound of the voice, but couldn't see anything. She knew her sister was around somewhere so she shouted to the whole room.
"They're after the guys!"
Riley gasped and looked at Raph worriedly.
"Get to the others!" Kim shouted again before she was ambushed from all sides with enemies, unable to get to Leo.
Riley bolted from the railing and ran through the battlefield, trying not to get caught. As soon as the front doors were in her sight she summoned her new powers and blast the door wide open.
As soon as her feet touched the earth she headed in the direction of Violet and Lilly. Raph and Casey caught up to her and ran at her side.
"What's going on?" Casey cried
"They're after the guys!" Riley replied
"But why us? How?" Raph asked
"I don't know!" Riley screamed, "All I know is I have to get to my sisters!"
Lilly screamed as an arrow flew right past her, barely missing her shoulder. She directed Symphony in the opposite direction and used her telekinesis to throw the archer's bow away from him. Then she flew him into the castle wall, knocking him unconscious.
"Lilly!"
Lilly looked down and saw Violet and been thrown off her paladin and was surrounded by archers.
Lilly didn't hesitate. She flew down, hopped off Symphony and ran over to Violet. She used her powers to throw every enemy out of her way as she made it towards her sister. When she was close she blew the archers away from her sister and crouched down beside her.
"Are you okay?"
Violet nodded. "Yeah, just winded. Thanks."
Suddenly Violet gasped when she heard a scream from Donnie. She looked around for him and saw him over by the lake. His arm was bleeding and he was trying to fight off some more enemies, trying desperately to get to Violet.
Violet's eyes fell to the shadow of a tree where a young boy with pink hair was hiding behind. He revealed one of his hands, which glowed pink as well, and he shot a ball of energy at Donnie's back.
"No! Donnie!" Violet screamed, drawing Lilly's attention to Donnie.
Donnie cried in pain as he was hit and fell to the ground.
"No, no, no." Violet mumbled before she scrambled to her feet and raced over to Donnie.
"They're after the guys." Lilly whispered in a panic.
Lilly jumped to her feet, frantically looking for Mikey.
"Mikey!" She screamed as she ran throughout the battlefield. "Mikey, where are you!"
'Please, don't let me lose him.' She thought frantically. 'I can't lose him more than I already have. I love him.'
Finally Lilly stopped when she noticed Mikey defending a weak Master Splinter who was crouched on the ground. Lilly gasped in relief before she noticed a boy with blue hair standing near the group, preparing to fire energy blasts at the pair.
Lilly quickly summoned some wind and blew herself over to the group. The boy let lose his blue energy ball and watched as it eagerly neared his target.
"No!"
Suddenly Lilly appeared and summoned a barrier around herself, Mikey and Master Splinter, which deflected the blast in time.
"Lilly!" Mikey cried, looking over his shoulder at her. "What are you doing? Remember the plan?"
"It's changed!" She yelled back, not taking her eyes off the boy who started firing more blasts at her shield. "They're not after us, they're after you guys!"
Mikey's eyes widened. "Why?"
"I don't know!" Lilly cried, "Just get Master Splinter and run!"
Mikey nodded and grabbed Master Splinter before exiting the barrier. Lilly sighed in relief, which quickly became a gasp when she heard Mikey's cry. She looked at the boy before her and noticed his smug smirk. He pointed behind her. She turned around and saw Master Splinter and Mikey were unconscious at the feet of another blue haired boy.
"I come as a set." The first boy snickered.
"Mikey!" Lilly cried
Riley skidded across the ground and faced the outdoor battle. She screamed when she heard her sisters' cries. She became visible again and was about to go help her sisters when Casey grabbed her arm, stoping her. She looked over at him angrily.
"What are you doing?" She demanded, "I have to help them!"
Casey shook his head. "If they're after the guys then they'll come after Raph, too." He said sadly. "And if they get to Raph they'll get to you. You have to stay invisible with us. We need to know what they-"
Casey stopped when he was blasted away from Riley and knocked to the ground. He looked up and saw Riley was surrounded.
"Riley!" Casey shouted, taking out his baseball bat. "Turn invisible and run!"
Riley didn't want to but she knew she had to. She quickly became invisible and orbed out of the circle as Casey started to fight. She looked around looking for Raph and finally found him against the castle, fighting some confused enemies.
Raph knocked the last opponent out when he saw Riley rushing up to him. Her arms flew around his neck and she squeezed him tight.
"Don't lose me again." She cried
"What's going on?" Raph demanded, "What about my brothers?"
"Argh!"
Riley's heart stopped. She spun around at her sister's terrified screams and saw Donnie standing over Violet, his bo staff aimed at her.
"Violet!"
Violet didn't understand. One minute Donnie was in her arms and the next he had woken up and knocked her to the side. Now he was standing over her threatening her with his bo staff.
"Donnie?" She gasped, frightened. "Wha-what are you doing?"
"Shut up, Renaldo!" He cried angrily, his eyes glowing pink.
Tears sprung to Violet's eyes and she shook her head.
"No." She whispered, "Please, not again."
Violet, still on her back, quickly started shuffling backwards from Donnie, who could only smirk.
"Frightened, are we?" He taunted
Violet looked around and saw her army taking care of her enemies alone, and Lilly was trying to wake Mikey up. She was alone. She looked back at Donnie, who could only laugh.
"It's over, Renaldo."
'What do I do?' Violet thought as she hung her head.
Suddenly a pendant appeared in her vision. It was her princess pendant! What a magical thing this was, always appearing around her neck.
Violet looked from the pendant to Donnie and her heart ached.
"Oh Donnie," She cried, "Please forgive me." She stood up and locked eyes with Donnie. "Princepessa Potere!"
Violet was engulfed in a bright white light and when it was gone she was left standing in front of Donnie. Now, she was wearing a short light purple and dark purple dress that reached her thighs. It had a light purple and dark purple scarf wrapped around her collarbone. She had purple gladiator sandals on and had gold bracelets around her wrists. Some of her hair was pulled back and tied with a dark purple bow, the hair on the sides of her face was tied and most of the hair flowed down her back. There was also a gold and purple decorative hairpin on the right side of her head.
Donnie started glowing a dark pink as his smirk widened. "It's on." He hissed
Violet's eyes widened as a pink energy ball flew from Donnie's hands. She cried and jumped out of the way just in time. She looked up, shocked.
'Donnie now has magic.' She thought, 'Crap. This just got harder.'
Violet got to her feet and she and Donnie started circling each other, waiting for one of them to make the next move.
"Donnie…I don't know what that guy did to you, but I'm going to snap you out of it!" Violet screamed as a tear rolled down her cheek.
The tear suddenly glowed and shimmered white before it transformed into Violet's bow and a bag of arrows. She shrugged on the arrows but looked at her bow.
"I won't use my arrows." She whispered to herself, "But maybe this bow has other magical abilities."
Violet spared Donnie a quick look before she closed her eyes and let her new powers flow around her. She was searching, looking for answers. Her powers hummed and flowed towards the bow. She opened her eyes with a delightful gasp and smiled. The bow had powers too! And now she knew how to use it.
"Tidal wave!" Violet screamed as energy erupted from the edges of her bow and flew towards Donnie like a tidal wave.
Her energy came into contact with his own energy, which caused them both to fly back and hit the ground. Violet quickly regained her footing and saw Donnie was still on the ground.
"Beam of hail!" She cried
Violet then drew her bow as if there was an arrow in her hands and a magical purple arrow appeared. She aimed high into the sky and let the arrow fly, igniting the sky in purple. A purple beam then flew from the sky and hit Donnie, crashing him into the ground and creating a small crater.
Violet quickly ran over to the crater, but just as she leaned over to see inside she was hit with a powerful energy blast that had her skid across the ground. She tried to get back up but she was too hurt and too weak.
Riley screamed in agony as she saw Violet pass out. She tried to run and help but Raph grabbed her arm and kept her there.
Riley struggled and tried to get out of his hold but it was no use.
Riley watched as Donnie stalked over to Violet and created a large energy blast above his head.
"No." She whispered, "No, no! Violet!"
Donnie threw the blast, hitting Violet in the chest. When the light faded, Violet was no longer there.
Riley screamed in agony, tears flowing down her cheeks. "Violet!"
Lilly jumped at the scream and looked over to see Donnie…and no Violet.
"No!" She screamed, tears falling down her face. "It can't be."
Lilly hung her head and let her tears fall. She started shaking Mikey to wake him up, but it wasn't working. She looked over her shoulder and noticed those twins stalking her way again.
"Mikey!" She cried, "Please, please wake up."
Lilly quickly conjured a barrier around her, Mikey and Splinter before the twins could attack her. She watched as they tried to blast through the barrier.
Mikey groaned before looking up at Lilly and taking in his surroundings. He sat up and put his hand on Lilly's shoulder.
"Lilly."
Lilly gasped and spun around but then squealed when she saw Mikey. She threw her arms tightly around him and cried.
"You're okay!"
Mikey gently pulled Lilly off him, causing Lilly to frown. She was about to question him when he shook his head.
"Don't." He said, "Don't do that."
Lilly's heart broke again and the barrier started flickering, much like her powers. She didn't care what they did to her now. Mikey didn't want her.
Mikey stood up and ran over to Splinter just as the barrier fell away.
"Master!" He cried
Splinter groaned and opened his eyes. Before Mikey could hug him or ask him anything Master Splinter pointed behind him and shouted.
"Behind you!"
Mikey spun around and saw the twins about to fire energy blasts at him.
Lilly looked over at Splinter's shout and growled.
"No!"
She quickly jumped to her feet and ran in front of Mikey just as the twins fired.
"Lilly!" Mikey cried as he watched Lilly jump in front of him and take the energy blasts herself.
When the light faded Lilly was no longer there. Mikey's eyes widened and flooded with tears before he angrily took out his nunchucks and attacked the twins. Within seconds they were unconscious and Mikey fell to his knees and cried.
"No! NO!" Mikey cried, slamming his fists against the ground.
Riley's hands flew to her mouth and she screamed and cried against them. She fell to her knees and Raph wrapped her in his arms.
"Come on." He urged, "Come on, we have to get inside. Now."
He helped Riley to stand and started rushing her inside, taking out anyone who got in their way. As they ran Riley prayed that her eldest sister was okay.
Kim shouted as she slashed her last enemy across the chest. She was doubled over in exhaustion, her body covered in scratches and bruises.
Drake was weak and held down on the floor by Renaldo's foot as he watched Kim fight his masses. She looked over at Renaldo and held her blade towards him.
"Your turn." She hissed
Renaldo laughed. "Oh yes, indeed it is my turn." He said, "But I don't like getting my hands dirty, you know that. So I'm having someone fight on my behalf."
Renaldo then gestured to behind Kim with a wide smirk.
"He will fight you for me."
Kim spun around before she was knocked to the ground by an energy blast. She lifted her head and sat on her knees, turning to face Leo stalking towards her.
"You hurt my family. Now I'll hurt you." He hissed, his eyes glowing purple.
Kim shook her head. "No." She whispered, tears spiling over her cheeks.
"Shut up, Renaldo!"
Kim shuddered at the sheer intensity and hatred that were in Leo's words. He was about to attack her again when she threw her arm up into the air. A tall column of earth rose from the ground and blocked Leo's next attack.
Leo continued blasting his way through the column while Kim sat there shocked.
'He's spelled and has powers. Sure, no big deal.'
Kim looked around the room and saw Emily rushing towards her. She fell to her knees beside Kim and held her hands.
"I'm so sorry." She said, "We didn't know."
"I know." Kim replied, jumping at another blast from Leo as it hit her column. "What do I do?"
"You have to use your pendant!" Emily urged, "You can summon your mother's sceptre and your sword. They're both magical objects that can throw attacks right back at him."
Kim shook her head. "I can't! It's Leo!"
The two jumped at another blast.
"You have to, princess."
Kim looked down as she felt her pendant magically appear around her neck. She looked back up at Emily.
"There has to be another way."
Emily shook her head.
"But I don't know how to use my sword!"
"Search your soul, your powers, and you'll know."
"And the sceptre? I don't have a sceptre!"
"It was your mother's." Emily explained before jumping at another blast. "Only the rightful heir can use it. It will appear at your command. You'll know how to use it, just like your sword. Just do it!"
Kim looked into Emily's eyes and realised that there was no other way. She nodded and stood up.
"Princepessa Potere!" She shouted before being engulfed in white light.
When the light faded Kim was standing wearing a short dark blue and white dress that reached the middle of her thighs. Behind her was a long dark blue cloak that reached the back of her knees and was tied around her waist. It had a black belt and a small collar. She had dark blue, elbow length gloves with black armour on and had three rings on each hand. Her hair was curled, let down and flowed as it did and had dark blue ribbon around her head in her hair with the Phoenix royal gem in the centre of the ribbon, her chest, the bottom of the blade of her sword and at her belt. She wore tall, thigh high dark blue boots and had a long black case for a sword at her hip. The sword inside was tall, thin and was designed with blue and silver steel and had a gold and blue handle that swirled around itself to the end of the sword.
Kim looked down at the rings on her hands and the gems around her outfit.
"The rings are the royal jewels, your highness." Emily said, "And the gems are the Phoenix royal gems – gems crafted with your family insignia, the dragon."
"And the sceptre?"
"Conjure it and it will appear, my queen." Emily said before the column gave way and fell to the ground, revealing Leo on the other side.
"Leave, Emily." Kim commanded, "Go find my sisters."
Emily nodded and vanished.
Leo started walking towards Kim and she closed her eyes, searching. Finally she snapped open her eyes and threw her arm up into the air, summoning her mother's sceptre.
The sceptre was pure gold and etched into the staff was ancient Rayonian text in red, white, blue and green. The top of the sceptre was carved into a swirly shape and held a silver gem with the Phoenix dragon carved in it. The staff wasn't too heavy, but it was beautiful.
Kim tore her gaze away from the sceptre and saw Leo release another attack at her. Kim screamed and quickly, without thinking, raised the sceptre in the air with both hands.
"Floral barrier!" She shouted and slammed the end of the sceptre onto the ground.
A solid barrier of tree branches, flowers and vines appeared and formed a large barrier that protected Kim from Leo's attack.
When the attack passed Kim lowered the barrier and stared into Leo's eyes. When she saw him prepare another attack Kim raised her hand in front of her and he stopped.
"I don't want to fight, Leo." She whispered, tears about to fall down her dirty and warn out face. "Please Leo. It's me, Kim."
Kim watched as Leo said and did nothing. He didn't react to anything she was saying.
"Oh please!" She cried, "You have to know it's me! I'm not Renaldo!"
Leo scoffed and it broke what was left of Kim's heart. He simply stared at her dirty face, red eyes and tear stained cheeks and Kim decided to tread lightly.
"Leo, I'm not Renaldo. You have to believe me." She pleaded, "He had other magic wielders cast a spell on you! He's using you!"
Leo chuckled darkly but did no more.
"Leo, you are my source of strength. If I don't have you I'm nothing. You give me the strength to face the danger, because I know, that you are what I fight for." Kim's voice chocked and she lowered her head as more tears fell. "I won't let him take you away from me again. Not again. Please believe me! Leo!"
Leo smirked, shook his head and laughed darkly.
"Nice try. But pleading won't work with me. You are Renaldo and I will have my revenge for what you did to my family." He hissed
Kim sobbed and clenched her eyes shut. He didn't believe her.
"I will not fall for it!" Leo screamed
He threw an electric shock towards Kim. Her loud scream pierced the room, stopping all of its inhabitants from their fight. They all looked towards Kim's fallen form lying on the ground, her sceptre a few feet from her.
Riley stopped running at the scream.
'Kim!'
She quickly picked up the pace and burst through the hallway doors. The sight before her made her feel sick and she felt her powers weaken. She ignored Raph's warning and re-materialised.
Kim managed to get back onto her hands and knees and looked up. She locked eyes with Riley and shook her head the slightest, knowing Renaldo could notice her.
"Run" She mouthed, "I love you"
Riley shook her head hard and tears fell down her cheeks. She tried to run towards her sister but Raph materialised and kept her back. He looked over at Kim and nodded at her. She returned his nod and grabbed the sceptre before spinning back around to face Leo.
"Summer flight!" She screamed
The end of her sceptre glowed and green light emerged, hitting Leo in the chest and sending him to the ground.
Kim ran over to Leo but he quickly jumped up and pinned her to the ground, knocking her staff out of her hands.
Kim tried to move her hands towards her sword but she was stuck. She looked up at Leo and growled.
"Vine wrapper!" She yelled as a vine appeared, picking up her staff and handing it back to her. "Bearing branches!"
Multiple tree branches suddenly appeared from the gem of the staff that then slammed into Leo and sent him flying into the opposite wall.
Kim tried to run towards Leo when her way was blocked by Renaldo himself.
"Having fun, princess?" He mocked
"Get out of my way!" Kim growled her eyes glowing dark green.
She twirled her sceptre in the air before slamming it to the ground, causing an earthquake that knocked everyone but Kim to their feet.
Kim glared at Renaldo before raising her sceptre high into the air.
"Wrath of Na-"
Kim screamed as she was cut off by a blast from Leo. She flew across the room and skidded across the ground losing her sceptre as she did. Kim weakly got to her hands and knees and watched as Leo walked towards her with Renaldo at his side.
The two stood before Kim as Kim unsteadily got to her feet. Once she stood she brandished her sword and held it towards the pair.
"Go on, use it." Renaldo taunted, noticing Kim's weak form.
"Dr-dragon f-fu-" Kim stammered before she dropped her sword and fell to her knees.
Renaldo laughed evilly along with his followers. Drake looked up from the ground and looked around for Emily. The two locked eyes and he nodded at her.
"Now" He mouthed
Emily nodded. She looked at Drake one last time before she saw Riley and Raph standing at the doorway and raced over.
"Finish her." Renaldo hissed at Leo.
Kim looked up into Leo's eyes, truly frightened.
"Leo." She whispered before Leo unsheathed a katana and thrust it in her stomach.
"NO!" Riley screamed, watching as her sister fell.
"Princess!" Emily cried as she met the pair and grabbed Riley's arms. "We must leave! Now! Hurry!"
"My sisters!" Riley screamed
"They can still be saved!"
Riley stopped and looked over at Emily. "They can?" She chocked on her tears.
Emily nodded. "They can. But you must trust me and leave with me now."
"Why?" Riley gasped, "Where are we going?"
Emily grabbed both Riley and Raph's hands and smiled as she glowed orange with her magic.
"To the past."
With that the trio vanished and time swirled around them in beautiful colours.
