Wow I can't believe so many people remember this story and are still interested...thank you! Here is the next chapter enjoy

A beep alerted them of the income message.

"The car will be here soon," Maura said looking down at her phone.

Jane nodded pulling her girlfriend a little closer but remaining silent.

"I can cancel Jane…I should cancel."

"No, Maur you should go. Your parents want you there, you haven't seen them in months. In all honesty it is probably safer for you in New York…anywhere is safer than being around me," Jane sighed her shoulders slumping the weight of the situation getting heavy.

"But there is no place I want to be more than around you," Maura said grabbing Jane's hands.

Jane smiled, her very being filling with a calming warmth at Maura's words. Her parents were making an unexpected appearance at a charity event in New York and they requested their daughter's presence. Maura was shocked they were going to be in the states let alone wanted her to join them.

"I want you with me too, but more than anything I want you to be safe. How long are you going to be gone?"

"I should be back Sunday midafternoon."

"Ha you decide on Harvard and suddenly you're playing hookie from school," Jane joked knowing Maura would miss her Friday classes.

"I got the assignments and coursework."

"Of course, you did," Jane smirked.

"I wish you were coming with me…get away from this place for a couple days."

"I would just be bringing my issues to New York. Did you ask your parents about additional security?"

"Yes, I will have a personal body guard for the weekend."

"God they must hate me," Jane groaned running her hands through her hair.

"They don't really know…I just said there had been some threats and I would feel more comfortable with additional security."

"And they didn't question that?"

"The Isles Foundation has had a very public profile for years now and I have started doing more work for them. It is not uncommon for additional security measures to be taken, especially with me since I am still a minor. It is not a big deal."

"Thank you…it would just make me feel a little better."

"You're welcome. I still don't like leaving you, I worry about you."

"I'll be ok," Jane said less than convincing, "Vince is working hard on the case, Frankie is here and the unmarks are outside. Frost might hang out here this weekend too although I really hate bringing other people around and exposing them to that creep."

"The more people that know, the more people that have your back."

Maura's phone beeped again.

"The car is here."

Jane stood and grabbed Maura's bag and they walked out the door. The driver was waiting by the car and took the bag Jane was holding.

"Is this a trusted service," Jane asked eyeing up the driver?

"What? Oh yes George has been our driver for years," Maura confirmed putting Jane's mind at ease.

"OK, good."

Maura smiled at Jane at her level of concern for her. No one had cared about her the way Jane does.

"I will call you when I get there ok?"

"Ok, have a good trip and send me a picture of you in your fancy dress."

"I promise I will."
"And try not to fall for any big city tall dark and handsome types," Jane smirked.

"I've already fallen," Maura whispered leaning up to kiss Jane.

Jane was left with a goofy grin on her face as Maura got into the car. She remained outside until the car pulled away and out of sight. Jane nodded at the unmarks before heading back inside, she was exhausted from barely sleeping and desperately needed a nap.

Franke ran up the step to his house and practically tore the door off its hinges.

"JANE…JANE," he yelled frantically looking around the small space.

"Wha…ooof."

Frankie ran over to the couch to see his sister laying on the floor.

"What are you doing down there," he asked confused?

"Well, I WAS taking a nap on the couch until someone came in screaming like the place was on fire and scared the crap out of me."

Frankie helped Jane off the floor and back to the couch.

"Sorry," he said sheepishly.

"Care to explain why you ran in here guns blazing?"

"You didn't answer your phone."

"What?"

"I called and texted but you didn't answer or return the call. I thought something was wrong?"

Jane looked down at her phone and saw she had 5 missed calls and 7 texts.

"Oh man I am sorry Frankie…I had a meeting with Vince I turned my phone on silent, then Maua left for New York and I fell asleep before remembering to take it on."

"I'm just glad your ok…but please god next time remember to turn the volume back on. I don't need a heart attack at 17 years old."

"Ha yeah the majors won't like that too much…sorry little bro. How was school? You get your workouts in?"

"School was school, I got my throwing session in but I didn't stick around for the weight lifting because I thought something was wrong."

"I'm sorry Frankie I didn't mean to mess up your schedule."

"Nah, its fine one day off isn't going to hurt. So Maura left for New York already," Frankie asked?

"Yeah right after school. The foundation has some work tomorrow and then some charity event is on Saturday. She said she would be back Sunday afternoon after her parents fly out."

"Have you met them before?"

"Her parents? No, not really. I mean I have seen them a couple times but I have never really met them."

"Do they know…you and Maura?"

"They know Maura is dating someone…a woman…but I am not sure if they know it is me. I doubt they even know me so a name wouldn't help them much."

"They know you."

"Oh wonderful," Jane groaned, "what awful things have they heard?"

"Nothing bad but I am Maura's best friend…they did a background check on me, they know my family."

"They did what?"

"Yeah, Maura pretty much had the same reaction…it did not go over well. They are basically like Ma but with endless resources."

"Oh man I'm screwed."

"Nah you will be ok…they are an interesting bunch. It's like they love each other but don't know how to express it. They travel all the time and are never around but are fiercely protective of Maura and makes sure she has the best of everything."

"The only good thing about them traveling is it could be years before I have to meet the parents."

"One thing I have learned is there is not an Isles that is immune to the Rizzoli charm," Frankie smiled.

"Oh yeah I can just see it now hello Mr. & Mrs. Isles…"

"Dr. & Mrs. Isles…"

"Fine Dr. & Mrs. Isles, I'm Jane and I have a psychopath after me who wants to kidnap me and do god knows what…"

"Jane…"

"What Frankie it is true. We don't know when or where he is going to make his move….we don't know what lengths he is willing to go."

"Vince have any news on Hoyt?"

"Not much."
"It has been two weeks," Frankie sighed.

"I know but Hoyt doesn't make many mistakes. They know he left Connecticut, most likely is here or in the surrounding area. They aren't going to find him until he makes a move."

"So what? Until he makes an attempt to grab you they are just sitting on their hands?"

"No, Frankie I promise they are doing everything possible. I have a meeting with Vince tomorrow and hopefully they will have an updated game plan."

Jane tried to be as positive as possible for Frankie but she honestly wasn't holding out much hope. Hoyt was smart and sadistic, he wouldn't be found until he wanted to be. It would be at that point Jane would be in serious trouble. She tried not to think about it too much but it was impossible not to…her life was in serious jeopardy.

"So, what do we got Vince," Jane asked walked into the squad room?

"We know he was in New York but can confirm he is here in Boston now."

"What was he doing in New York," Jane asked in a panic as that is where Maura was?

"Best we can find he was gathering himself and setting up his game plan. Looks like he wanted a little distance between himself and Connecticut and what better place to disappear than in a city of millions of people."

"Great so he has had a week to plot and now is moving in for the kill…comforting," Jane said sarcastically.

"He is not going to get near you Jane."

And suddenly it was like a lightbulb went off in Jane's head.

"No, not that's it…we don't know when or where but we know what," Jane said getting more animated as the idea formulated in her mind.

"Jane slow down what are you talking about?"

"Hoyt is smart but obsessed and it is that obsession that is going to be his downfall. He wants me, so let's give the man what he wants."

"NO JANE ABSOLUTELY NOT," Vince jumped up making it clear this was not an option.

"Come on Vince it is the only way. Wire me up, GPS me, put undercovers on me…we can't keep going like we are. Keeping me under lock and key is only going to make him do something drastic and I don't want to put anyone else in danger. You need to spring me loose and expose me a little more."

"And you don't think that will send off red flags if your suddenly just out and about?"

"I'm not saying roll back the police presence but put some more holes in the protection shield. Give him some perceived chances to get to me."

"There is no way my boss is going to let me use you as bait."

"He can't control where I go…you either work with me or I will do this on my own."

"God you are the most stubborn person I have ever worked with," Vince said clearly frustrated.

"So your going to work with me," Jane asked hopeful?

"Well, I sure as hell am NOT telling you go this alone."

"Great, the sooner this prick is back in prison the better."

Jane left the precinct finally feeling like they were getting somewhere with the case. However, there was still one…two big hurdles she would have to get through and that was telling Frankie and Maura the plan.

"NO, NO WAY ABSOLUTLY NOT."

"ARE YOU INSANE? YOU CANNOT PUT YOURSELF IN DANGER LIKE THIS."

Jane was sitting in the living room with Frankie and had Maura on facetime. She remained silent as both shouted out their opinions of this plan. Each talked at the same time making it hard to understand other than they both adamantly disagreed with Jane on this one.

"Guys…GUYS," Jane yelled getting their attention.

Frankie and Maura fell silent.

"I know everyone is worried about me, but I feel like this is the only way. I could be kept under lock and key but really how is that any different than running. It has been two weeks and the police have barely been able to track him. I need to face this and working with the police will allow me to do that but be safe as well."

"Janie this is insane. This guy wants you, he wants to…do not good things. How can you risk he would get the chance? So many things could go wrong."

"I know Frankie…but Vince and his team are some of the best. It is a risk, but I can't risk Hoyt doing something drastic and taking someone I love just to get to me. I could never live with myself if that happened."

"There has to be another way," Maura spoke up on the verge of tears.

"I promise if there was I would take it. I am not being reckless about this, we are taking precautions and the police will still be with me. We just have to try and get him out of hiding or he is holding all the cards."

"I know…my head knows this Jane but my heart…it breaks at the thought of you getting hurt…or worse."

Jane nodded but had no words of comfort to offer her girlfriend. This plan was anything but foolproof and there was a high likelihood something would go wrong. Jane was not going to promise her girlfriend everything would be ok when she knew it likely wouldn't be…but she prayed for the best.

"We are going to do everything in our power to keep me safe and get this guy behind bars before he hurts anyone else," Jane replied honestly.

"Can you at least wait until I get back before you start making yourself more available please?"

"Of course, there are still logistical plans that need to be put in place and strategies to workout. We probably won't start in this new direction until next week."

"Ok, good."

Maura sighed as she hung up with Frankie and Jane. She hated not being there, not that would help anything. Jane had made up her mind to do this and Maura knew she needed to support her and help as much as possible. She was already dealing with enough without having to add to her stress.

"Hey Maura," Frost said answering the phone.

"Hi Barry how are you?"

"Can't complain except for the Barry thing."

"It's your name."

"So is Frost and it sounds cooler."

Maura couldn't help but roll her eyes.

"Ok FROST…I need your help with something."
"Sure, just name it."
