Sorry for the delay and unfortunately this is just a short chapter. I was having some major writers block but I wanted to get you guys something...hopefully you enjoy. Mostly it is just a filler but I got the plot moving at the end. Enjoy!

Jane winced as she settled on the couch. She would take a little pain over spending another night in the hospital. Her arm was in a sling and secured to her body, she had a couple stitches along her torso and a splint along her nose…she had seen better days but had never felt so good to be home.

"Wait this isn't our couch," Jane said realizing the couch she was sitting on was far too comfortable to be the old couch she remembered.

She looked around the living room and realized they had a new tv stand with flat screen tv, coffee table and not only a couch but a sectional.

"Did I come home to an alternate reality," Jane asked looking back at Frankie, "where did all this stuff come from?"

"It was a gift," he said vaguely.

"A gift? From who the furniture fairy?"

"A friend."

"A friend…a friend named Maura?"

Frankie remained silent.

"Frankie come on what the hell man," Jane said trying to stand but wincing again.

"Hey come on Janie just relax," he said nudging her back down into the seat, "Maua really didn't give me much of a choice…come on you know her."

Jane thought about that for a moment and knew Frankie was right, her girlfriend could be a bulldozer when she wanted to be.

"She knew your recovery would take time and she wanted you to be comfortable…"

"Wait does that mean…?"

"Yeah, you have a new bed," Frankie said looking sheepish, "I really tried to talk her out of it but she was not having any of it. I did make a compromise though," Frankie said hoping it would allow Jane to accept Maura buying them all new furniture.

"What is it?"

"I told her that once I sign my baseball contract she will not argue with me when I pay her back for this stuff."

Jane huffed but figured that was at least a fair.

"The first check you write is to Maura."

"I swear Janie it will be."

Jane nodded and finally relaxed back into the couch.

"You heard anything about that?"

"I am signing with an agent."

"WHAT? WHEN? Oh my god Frankie this is amazing," Jane said genuinely excited for her brother.

"I'm signing the end of February. I'm kind of freaking out a little Janie."

"What? Why?"

"I don't know…I mean I have worked my whole life for this and now it is right in front of me. My whole life is going to change…our lives are going to change. I am just some kid from southie and now I will be signing with an agent, I have a lawyer, I will be getting a $500,000 advance. I mean what the hell do I know about managing that kind of money."

Jane nodded her understanding. Just hearing Frankie talk about all the changes made her a little stressed but she was going to be the rock her brother needed.

"Frankie, we are going to get through this together."

"It's just so much and you're just starting recovering…"

"Hey you are my little brother and I will always be there for you no matter what."

"Thanks, it means a lot."

"So, what are you most freaked out about most?"

"I don't know…I guess suddenly having so much money. I mean I always dreamed I would sign a big baseball contract but I guess I never really thought about what that would mean. You hear all these stories about business managers stealing money or guys blowing their money on stupid things. I'm scared money will change things."

"I am not going to lie Frankie that is a lot of money and you have every right to be nervous about it. However, we both know someone that is substantially wealthy and I think she would be happy to help you establish safeguards."

Frankie never thought about asking Maura for help, but it made so much sense. Her family has had money for generations and had been very successful in handling financial matters.

"Yeah, yeah I think that would be good," Frankie said taking a noticeable deep breath.

"Whatever city you end up in, I will be there until you feel comfortable. I mean I will practically be living there anyway since my brother will be buying me season tickets."

"I think I will be able to swing that," Frankie laughed.

"And if you ever think about getting an ego I will drag you back down to the playgrounds in southie and kick your ass on the court just like I always have and always will," Jane smiled.

"I love you Janie."

"Back at you" she smiled returning his hug the best she could.

Just then the living room door opened and Maura walked in carrying three boxes of pizza and a large brown bag.

"Hey guys," she smiled catching the tail end of their hug.

"Hey Maura let me help you with those," Frankie said jumping off the couch and taking the boxes and bags from her.

"Thanks Frankie."

Frankie headed into the kitchen while Maura headed over to the couch.

"Hey," Jane said with a big smile.

"Hey," Maura said leaning in to give her a kiss.

"Hmm I have been waiting for that all day," Jane said leaning in to steal another kiss.

"I brought pizza and some other essentials since I know guys have no food here."

"Thanks…Ma is out right now running errands for us. I am sure there will not be enough room in our fridge by the time she is done."

"She is just worried about you and wants to take care of her little girl."

"I know…I have put her through a lot recently."

"Hey, none of this is your fault and she knows that."

Jane just nodded.

"Do you know that," Maura asked concerned?

"I know it in theory but in actuality no."

Maura wished she could bring Jane into her arms and hold her, but with the brunette's injuries that wasn't possible at the moment. Instead she grabbed one of Jane's hands linking their fingers.

"Hoyt is responsible. Dunkin is responsible. You Jane Rizzoli are not. You are a bright light and a force in this world they simply could not handle. They tried and tried again to break you, but you will never be broken."

"It feels like it sometimes," Jane quietly admitted.

"Just because you will face some struggles does not mean you are broken. Everyone struggles at different points with their own issues and their own demons. Admitting to those struggles, relying on your loved ones and accepting help doesn't make you weak…it shows your strength."

"So all this doesn't make you want to run?"

"I'm only running to you, never away. Whatever you need Jane I am here…and you don't have to know what that is right away. Whatever comes ups, whatever happens we will tackle it together."

"I love you."

"I love you too."

The two sat there for a moment in silence just enjoying being in each other's company without hospitals, doctors, other family or cops around. Between Jane's abduction and recovery, they hadn't had time to get relax and be together.

"When all this is settled I want to take you some place," Jane said suddenly.

"Where?"

"I don't know maybe up to Maine or maybe get a mountain house on a lake somewhere…I don't care where as long as it's just us and away from here. I feel like we have been in this chaos for a decade."

"I would like that," Maura smiled.

Frankie interrupts them holding her phone in his hands.

"Hey Janie it is Vince calling for you," Frankie said giving the phone to his sister.

"Thanks…hey Vince what's going on? Yeah, I got home this afternoon finally…some pain but nothing a little TLC won't cure," Jane said giving Maura a wink, "huh…oh…are you sure? Really? OK, well umm thanks for letting me know. No, no I just need some time. I will call you tomorrow. Ok, thanks bye."

Maura sat back and listened to Jane's end of the conversation but couldn't get a read of what was going on.

"Everything ok?"

Jane took a minute to really think about that question.

"Yeah, that was Vince just calling to check up and about the case and trial."

"What's going on? Have they set a new trial date already?"

Jane took a slow breath trying to calm herself. Her heart felt like it was going to explode right out of her chest.

"There isn't going to be a trial."
