Title: Mami Alone

Premise: Madoka Magica. Mami is feeling lonely one night when the girls are all watching a movie together.

Personal Comments: This is part of one idea I had for a Madoka fanfic: After seeing that the two main shippings are Madoka X Homura and Sayaka X Kyoko, and that Mami is shipped with Charlotte (which I find weird), I sort of see Mami as not having anyone she's commonly shipped with.

I came up with this idea where it starts off with Mami feeling lonely, so Madoka decides to help her hook up with someone. She and Kyoko (all five girls are friends in this version, and share grief seeds with each other) take her to a club one night to find her a boyfriend or girlfriend, depending on Mami's preference. In my version, I imagine she's straight, and she wants a boyfriend. The title of the story would therefore be "Mami's Boyfriend." She'd meet an OC at the club, and the two of them would get really close. Eventually things would happen like he'd call her during witch hunts, dragging her away from her friends and magical girl duties. Not sure what would happen after that.

What might make sense to me is if Mami gets shipped with the new magical girl who becomes Charlotte in Rebellion. Can't wait to see that movie.

Movie I picked they would watch is Insidious.

Mami sat in the middle of the couch in the dark room, starring at the screen. The mother was heading outside to pick up the trash when she looked through the window to see a small figure dancing to "Tiptoe through the Tulips."

Mami felt a surge of terror and curiosity inside herself. The film continued at a suspenseful rate. Mami found herself completely enthralled and sucked in to the story and atmosphere and mystery.

At one of the slower moments, however, she turned her head to one side of the couch. She could see Madoka with a terrified look on her face. Homura, who looked simply surprised and not as terrified, sat closely beside her holding her hand. Madoka scooted closer and leaned on Homura's shoulder. Her terror was eased and a smile spread across her face. A small smile appeared on Homura's face.

Mami looked to the other side to see Kyoko with her arm around Sayaka, who was leaning against the latter's chest. Both appeared totally sucked in to the movie, and meanwhile snug as bugs in each other's embrace.

Seeing her four friends together like this suddenly made Mami feel lonely. She needed to get away from this.

"I'll go make some popcorn," She said aloud, getting up from her seat.

"That would be great," Kyoko smiled.

"Yeah, thanks Mami," Madoka added.

"Hurry back," Sayaka whispered. "You don't want to miss a second."

Mami walked into the kitchen and slipped a popcorn bag into the microwave. While it hummed, Mami looked over the counter at her friends, again her feelings of jealousy and lonliness returning as she wished she had someone to cuddle with her during the movie. A couple tears rose in her eyes.

She suddenly heard a soft voice behind her singing.

"One is the loneliest number that you'll ever do."

She turned around to face Kyubey, and glared at him.

"Get out of here!" She hissed.

Sure enough, the little cat scurried off.

(And then somehow here Madoka would notice Mami's loneliness and resolve to do something about it and try to help her. The way I have it, the next day she would get the other three girls together, and the four of them would come up with a plan to find Mami a hookup. Ultimatly, they would decide since Madoka and Kyoko are the ones she gets along with most, that the said two girls would take her to a bar to meet boys.)
